Summer break! The whole month to do whatever she wanted! Alina was kind of estatic. She knew that right after this month, she’d have to go back to school. They didn’t have a normal schedule like the ones she’d heard about in the states, where the end of summer insinuated another year. No, their end of the year was in December. Her Senior year was only halfway over. But her birthday was coming up! That was always exciting. She was going to stay with her Nana next week to celebrate it, but this week she was staying with Carson in Maple Hollow for the time being. Carson was nice enough to let her do so since there had been a mix up with Alina’s travel plans. So she’d just have one week less to see her Nana, but one week more to explore Maple Hollow a bit more. Already, she’d met miss Rhoswen, and gotten to hang out with her. And now…she wasn’t actually sure what to expect now, but she was sure that the day held some incredible potential for her. She could feel it. Sometimes you could tell it would be a bad day just by the feeling. But her mood was up, the sun was out, Alina was ready to make sure just the opposite happened. Today would be one to remember.
Today Alina was on her own. While she might have been staying at Carson’s house, Carson had her own thing to do sometimes, and Alina had gone out on the town today, just by herself while Carson was busy. She didn’t normally like to be by herself, but today wouldn’t be so bad. Walking around town a bit, Alina found herself having a fanciful little whim, moving to slowly slip off her shoes, and her sweater, placing them down on the edge of the fountain in the center of town, before hoisting herself up to walk around the fountain. It was June, so of course the water was on. That of course made Alina want to swim in it, but she wouldn’t. She’d settle with dipping her feet in instead. After dancing around the fountain a bit, she moved to sit, dipping her feet into the cool water, taking out her water bottle and taking a sip. It was probably a funny sight, this girl with bright blonde hair just taking over the fountain like she owned it. Spinning a bit, she moved to sit the other way, watching people as they went by. They all seemed like they had places to be, she couldn’t help but wonder where they were all going. It was then that a man with quite the amount of curly hair walked past. And well, Alina couldn’t really help herself. She hopped down, moving in her bare feet after him, pulling on his sleeve lightly to stop him, ”Excuse me…sorry. I was just wondering…is that your natural hair? Do you like it? I think it suits you…” She blushed, ”That’s really…all I wanted to say.”[/blockquote]

Gaius sighed contentedly. Summer was here at last, which meant no schoolwork to worry about, no tests to study for, no essays or element practice... Though, come to think of it, he quite liked that last one. He'd always loved practising with electrical currents and static shock, though it left him tired. It was a good tired. And when the break was over, they would begin teaching him how to create an electrical current, which was something to look forward to.
Umbreon, Gaius' black cat, shifted in his backpack. Gaius grinned. That cat was a strange one. When he first found him as a kitten, he had hidden the little guy in his backpack so nobody at school would notice him. As time went by, he almost started to think that the cat preferred travelling that way. Gaius would leave the top open, so Umbreon could poke his head out, but usually he'd just sleep until they got wherever they were going.
He continued his walk through Maple Hollow, not knowing where he was going. It was the first week of Summer vacation, so he decided to just see what he could get into. Maybe he'd do a bit of climbing? Or help his mother tend the tea shop for a bit? Or maybe he and Marcus could-
”Excuse me…sorry." The young man heard as someone pulled on his shirt sleeve. He stopped turning to find a very blonde girl next to him.
" I was just wondering…is that your natural hair? Do you like it? I think it suits you… That’s really…all I wanted to say.” she said.
"Uh, yeah. Yeah it is. And I do.Thanks," he said, absently running a hand through his hair without noticing her blushing. He looked more closely at the girl. She seemed... familiar. "Hey. I know you, don't I? You're that one girl from Ridley's party right?"
He didn't forget a face and he definitely didn't forget that hair. So blonde it was almost white. She had to be Wind; no other Element, except maybe Water, was so outgoing with strangers. However, names had always escaped him. "Hold on. Your name's... uh... Lyla, right?" He said with a sheepish grin. He knew he was wrong, but she'd just tell him her real name anyway.

Alina didn’t normally go out of her way to talk to strangers, but it seemed like today her curiosity was getting the best of her. She really couldn’t help it – when she saw someone interesting looking, she felt the urge to talk to them. Maybe that could’ve been a factor in the way she styled herself as well, but it was only one reaction on the spectrum. The other reaction seemed to be more people avoided her. She was going to try and prove that people with bright hair or tall lanky looking guys with ridiculously amazing curls were interesting people and easy/fun to talk to! Actually she didn’t think she was proving anything. She just knew SHE wanted to talk to him. She was glad he stopped. She offered a friendly smile his way, listening as he answered her, nodding slowly, ”I wish I could have curly hair. I mean, I don’t think it would look good on me, but it looks good on you. You probably don’t even have to comb it, huh? It just kind of does what it wants to?” She rocked on her heels a bit. With her shoes off, she was standing directly at her 5’1” height. That’s another reason she wore such tall shoes – they gave her more leverage. That and they were just really cool. As his hand ran through his hair, Alina found herself absent mindedly wanting to touch it, but she reminded herself in her mind that she didn’t want to scare him away. That would be a little forward, wouldn’t it? Probably. Alina was about ready to let him go on his way before he pointed out that she seemed familiar. She blinked up at him, her brows raising just a bit, before brightening, ”I…don’t think so. I would’ve remembered your hair. Though I was at Ridley’s party…” She twiddled her hair around her fingers, trying to remember. That night was kind of fuzzy in her head, could she remember who all was there? Probably not. She just smiled, looking up at him and seeing if he could guess, giggling slowly, ”No…no. I don’t know any Lyla’s. It’s a pretty name, though. But no, I’m Alina.” She held out her hand to shake his lightly. After shaking it, she looked over at him a bit, ”And your name?” She was managing to get through an introduction, this was great! She waited before a flash of movement from his backpack caught her eye. Alina’s blue eyes widened slowly, staring at his backpack, moving behind him and peeking in. ”Oh my gosh! You have a cat in your backpack!” It came out almost like a high pitched, excited squeak. It only made HER want a pet so she could carry it with her always. His backpack made hers look like a joke. She looked over at him a bit, ”How’d it get in there?”[/blockquote]

"Yeah, sorta just does whatever it wants," he repeated, blushing a bit at the compliment. He forgot, as well, that he hadn't actually talked to this girl at the party, just saw her. "Right. Alina, that was it. I thought I recognized you there, but couldn't remember your name. And I'm Gaius," he said, shaking her hand.
He felt Umbreon shift in his backpack, and just then Alina's blue eyes went wide and she squealed, moving behind him. She must've seen him, he thought as he realized what she'd said. Sure enough, when he craned his neck to look behind, the cat's head was poking out from the top of the pack.
"Yeah," he said, "That's Umbreon. I live with my mom over breaks and my brother's allergic, so whenever I leave the house, so does he. As for why he likes to be in there, your guess is as good as mine." He took the backpack off slowly, so as not to startle the cat, and opened it, putting it on the ground. The cat jumped out, shaking his head. The cat rubbed against Gaius' leg before turning his attention to the girl.
Gaius smiled warmly. "So, what are you doing in Maple Hollow? A lot of people go out of town for the summer." Gaius watched Umbreon sniff at Alina, his nose twitching slightly. The girl was alone, he noticed, just like he was. Maybe she wanted some company since all her friends had left for the summer. He was happy to oblige, he had nothing else planned.

Alina giggled lightly, ”That must be easy, in the morning. Just getting up and heading to class, not having to worry about your hair, just about dressing yourself. Well…hopefully dressing yourself.” Her words seemed to be getting jumtumbled around today, she was just going to have to think more about what was leaving her lips. She tried not to think about it. That would just cause her to blush more than she already was. It seemed to fit though…her cheeks were just as pink as his were. She wasn’t sure why HE was blushing – unless he wasn’t used to compliments. In which case, Alina felt bad. He should be complimented more. Everyone should. She never really got them, but she wouldn’t dig if no one saw her fit to receive them. She smiled a bit as he connected her face with her name. She nodded, ”Yea. I was there for the last part of the night. I don’t…really go to parties all too much unless I have someone to go with or know who’s throwing it. But I was bored that night so I figured why not…” She laughed a bit, before studying his face lightly. ”Gaius. That’s an interesting name. Never met anyone else with that name before. It just means I’ll remember it easier.” She winked at him lightly, bouncing on her feet a bit. So much energy in one little package, it was hard to keep it contained sometimes. And why would she keep it contained now? The man had a cat in his pack! A cat back pack. A cat pack! What?! This was perfect! If Alina could have pets, she would. But she lived most of the time at the high school, and she was going to work on convincing her Nana to move to Willowdale so she could attend the college when the school year was over in December. Either way, that was a whiles off. Right now, her focus was on this man and the animal he so dutifully carried. ”Umbreon? That’s cute! Hi Umbreon.” She cooed lightly to the kitty before just listening, fascinated by his story. She looked at him curiously, ”So does he live just solely in your room then when you’re at your mom’s? Or is your brother restricted to his room?” She giggled lightly, though thought a bit. ”Maybe it’s a comfort thing for Umbreon. He could’ve had separation anxiety before, you never know. So maybe he LOVES to go wherever you go so you’re never parted. Aw, that’s adorable.” Who cared if it was true or not? It was just so dang precious. Her eyes stayed wide as he moved the back pack off his back. So far, she hadn’t pet the kitten because she didn’t know if she was allowed. Though when the cat turned it’s attention to her, she was sure it was alright. Gaius wouldn’t have let him out if he didn’t expect her to cuddle the crap out of him. Alina moved to let her hands smooth over Umbreon’s fur, just loving on him a bit while Gaius asked his question, picking the cat up and giving it a kiss to the head before thinking, answering slowly, ”I’m staying with Carson for a week, and then she and I are going to visit my Nana for the rest of Summer break. My Nana lives in the big city, and I didn’t have plans to go see her until next week, so. You know…Carson Garroway? She’s a water…a Junior.” She thought a bit, looking at the boy. ”Is it rude to ask what element you are? I’m a wind…” She moved to slowly hand the cat back to Gaius, offering him a slow, pretty little smile. This was just a small bought of luck, running into someone this fun![/blockquote]

He smiled at how she cooed over Umbreon. The little guy seemed to enjoy it as well. "Yeah, I just keep him in my room most of the time, though Marcus is rarely home so it's not much of a worry. I think he likes getting out of the house too, 'cuz whenever I'm about to leave, he comes along too. Hard to keep him in the dorm when I've got classes and stuff." He thought what she had said though. Guys did have it easy when it came to presenting yourself. He personally took less than 30 minutes every morning to get ready for the day, but girls must take... hours? Nah. Maybe an hour, surely... Right?
So she was a Wind huh? He'd guessed correctly. He recognized Garroway's name though. One of the more tolerable Water students, he thought, though he hadn't bothered talking to her much. She had at least two other siblings at the Academy if he remembered correctly. "Nah, I don't mind. I'm Thunder," he said enthusiastically, accepting his pet back. He let the cat lay on his shoulder, back legs and tail dangling over his back. He walked over to sit on the edge of the fountain, taking his sandals off and propping one of his bare feet on the stones. Umbreon left his perch to peer into the water, batting at his reflection. He wondered how Wind elementals worked.
Gaius had seen his mom create a current of electricity, and some older students and teachers make plants grow in minutes or create flames, but nothing with wind before. He held up his hand, looking at it. Concentrating, he snapped his fingers, willing at least a spark to appear. Sadly, all he succeeded in doing was startling the cat. He sighed." I can't wait until I can make lightning." That'd be so cool, he thought, feeling a bit childish. At least he could control his element. He remembered watching Marcus sit in front of a lit candle for an hour at a time, willing it to grow or move, but all he could manage was making it a centimeter taller or shorter. "You'll never get it at this rate," He'd tease. "Just you wait," Marcus would say, "I'll get it before I even get to the Academy, and I'll be way ahead of you by the time I graduate."
They made sure that they were both working hard, and the little competition was their way of keeping each other on the right track. No slacking, or else you'd lose. Gaius smiled, looking up at the sun. Without lowering his head, he looked at Alina. "So you're a Senior I'm guessing? I've got a question. How's the whole conjuring up a gale thing work? I've never seen a Wind elemental actually create wind before."

Alina loved people who were generally happy and friendly. Gaius had a WONDERFUL aura about him. She would quite like to keep him around. She nodded a bit, looking to the kitty before back up to the man with the beautiful curly hair, ”That makes sense. So his trips in the backpacks are just his way of getting out into the world for a short period of time.” She laughed lightly. It was cute, the kitten wanted to take little trips with his owner. It just made not wanting a pet all the more hard. As far as she knew, they weren’t allowed to have pets in the dorms. Maybe she was wrong? She didn’t think she could ever have a pet – that would mean remembering to look after it – but if she did, she didn’t know what she would get in the first place anyways. She only hoped a friendship with Gaius formed because then she could just come see Umbreon whenever she wanted. Not that that would be the only reason to be friends with the man, of course. Just a perk. She smiled, looking over at him a bit, ”Is your brother an elemental too? I’ve heard it runs in families…I’m an only child so I wouldn’t really know, but Carson says it does. Does he got to the school as well? Does he and you don’t share a dorm room then?” She didn’t really have a roommate as of yet, she was just curious to know if they paired family together. It never really occurred to Alina that she could be asking too many questions – it was just in her nature. She smiled a bit as the cat rested on Gaius’s shoulder, moving back to the fountain with him as he walked. She sta back down, dipping her feet back into the water, splashing a tiny speck of water in the cat’s direction to see his reaction, just playing, laughing and watching Gaius with interest. She had always wondered how each element worked. Though she was never too shy to ask, she just thought learning by watching would be better. ”A thunder? That’s cool. I’ve always kind of wondered what it would be like to be another element…do you like being a thunder?” Of course, she got her answer by his next exclamation. She nodded a bit, ”I think you have the coolest element. I can’t do too much with mine, but yours is pretty…powerful.” She studied him a bit, petting Umbreon and just relaxing. She loved how he had taken time out of wherever he was going to talk to her, and already they seemed pretty comfortable with each other. ”Yep…I’m a Senior. I-“ She blinked at his next question, her brows furrowing a bit, ”It’s more like…using the Wind around you. I don’t think I can start wind from anywhere unless I have some form of wind to take from. We’re all still learning how to do things, obviously. But I can’t wait til I’ve perfected it.” She thought a bit, taking the slight breeze and flicking her fingers a bit, moving the breeze back through Gaius’s hair with a small, shy smile. ”Kind of like that…”[/blockquote]

Gaius felt his ears redden again from embarrassment when Alina complimented his element. It was strange, now that he thought about it, that as elementals their elements often determined who they were and, depending on who you were, it was a cause for praise or ridicule.
"That's useful too," he said with a chuckle when the girl blew a breeze through his hair. "Perfect for days like this." He watched his cat rub his head against Alina's hand as she pet him. "It seems he likes you," the young man said.
'But to answer your question: My brother's a Fire, which is odd, because my mom's a Thunder too and my dad's... well he wasn't gifted. Should've been a Thunder, unless someone down the line was a Fire. But he's only 14. He'll be a freshman next year." He contemplated that. Marcus was a hothead, both literally and figuratively. It would be interesting to finally see him in the academy. "His name's Marcus. Crazy kid, he is." Gaius remarked, leaning back."What about you? Any siblings?"

Watching a Thunder blush was actually kind of amusing. Alina couldn’t help but smile at his reaction. She normally got different reactions from each element. Thunders usually paid her no mind. And the fact that she had a water as a best friend didn’t always put her at the best terms with the fires, but if she showed she was still neutral, she normally had no problem. She had caused a wave, though, the other day, with the fires. She had gotten into more than a slight altercation with a certain Altair Bennett, and it had been…pretty nasty. She still had the burns on her skin to prove it. That was half of the reason why she was wearing a sweater in this weather. She had no other way to hide it really. Besides she normally ran cold anyway. She wasn’t sure if that was a wind thing or if that was just an Alina thing. So that was the other reason. But with how this Thunder was treating her, he didn’t look like he’d be trying to knock her off her feet with trembling rumbles or electrocuting her any time soon. She certainly hoped not. She kind of liked him. She didn’t think he really fit into the thunders and how they were supposed to act. But she supposed that was very unfair of her – seeing as how she didn’t really fit into any kind of category. Besides, she’d just met him. It was WAY too early to be jumping to conclusions. He could’ve been the thunderest thunder that ever existed and she just didn’t know it yet.
Alina smiled as he liked what she did with her power. She was still learning, but anything was better than nothing. She nodded slowly, smiling a bit, ”If you ever need someone to be your personal fan, just let me know and I’ll be there with bells on.” Someone had told Alina the other day that she talked as if she had lived through all the decades. Alina supposed that was because she had an old soul. Along with a newer one. It was what made her unique. She looked down as the cat rubbed against her hand, moving her fingers back through his soft fur, smiling and glancing back up at Gaius. ”That’s good…I like him.” She kept up her attention, looking up to show she was listening as Gaius answered her. She nodded slowly, ”Maybe it was passed down somewhere. Like a recessive trait or something and he just happened to get it.” She shrugged lightly, ”No one in my family was gifted that I know of, so I don’t know how I’m here.” She thought a bit, continuing to pet the cat. ”So he’ll…Marcus…he’ll be here next year with you.” She nodded a bit before looking up at him, shaking her head slowly to answer his question. ”It’s just me and my Nana at home. No siblings or anything. No pets. No…it’s kind of lonely, to be honest.” She pulled her feet from the fountain, letting her silver painted toes dry. She smiled up at him a bit, ”So have you planned anything special over break to do?”[/blockquote]

Gaius knew what being alone a lot of the time was like. Frankly, he preferred nine times out of ten, but for other people it must be quite depressing. Having nobody to talk to, for some, must be maddening. The way Alina acted with Umbreon though, he started thinking that maybe she wanted a pet. He had been having a hard time himself keeping his own pet, since they technically weren't allowed on campus. The little guy stayed in his room most of the time anyway, and the only reason the others in his dorm didn't snitch on him was because they liked the cat too.
"I don't plan on leaving town, but I can probably find some sort of trouble to get into around here," He said in a noncommittal manner. He planned on doing a bit of climbing around Maple Hollow, maybe teach his brother. Marcus knew how to 'run but not as well as he did. A little brotherly bonding would be fun.
He looked over at Alina, studying her smile. She was nice. And pretty, he couldn't help noticing, not for the first time that day. He looked away, clearing his throat. "I, uh, might do something with my brother or... maybe hang around my mom's tea shop." He shrugged.

Alina didn’t like being by herself. In fact, it terrified her. Living a life where the most important people in your life tended to leave you, she wasn’t really one for goodbyes, or people taking trips, or moving. And she also couldn’t sleep alone. Even if she was in high school, she slept surrounded by plushies, little stuffed animals who would ‘protect her’ through the night. And she had an ice cream cone night light that ALWAYS got plugged in before the lights went out. She was glad and sad about not having a fellow Wind roommate. Sad because she of course needed the company. Glad because she was sure they would think she was just a big baby. But she had always been afraid of being left alone…and had always been afraid of the dark. And those were just her remedies for them. If she could keep a pet in the dorms, she gladly would. She knew that a few people had like…goldfish, but she didn’t want a goldfish. She wanted something she could cuddle and pet. Like Umbreon. You couldn’t even take a goldfish out of the bowl. What fun was that? She wouldn’t want to be responsible for such a little life as a goldfish. Even the wrong temperature of water could kill them. She wouldn’t be able to handle that. Nuh uh.
She smiled a bit, looking over him a bit, ”Why trouble, necessarily? You could do something creative. What are you doing for the rest of today?” Because it had just occurred to her that she had never even asked if she had been keeping him from something in the first place, seeing as how she was enjoying talking to him. Though as he continued his first answer, she nodded, keeping her blue eyes on him. ”That sounds like fun, hanging out with your brother. And-“ She blinked, her brows raising, ”A tea shop? Your mother own a tea shop? I love tea. Where’s the shop?” There was a tea shop in this little town and she didn’t know about it? That was like her favorite drink. She had one cup every night right before bed. Unless of course it was caffeinated, then she drank it a bit after lunch. She smiled a bit, pulling her sweater closer to her, looking over at Gaius. ”Tell me something else about yourself…” He was really fun so far, she found herself wanting to learn more and more. ”You could even cheat and do favorites, like favorite food or movies or bands…something like that.” She leaned forward a bit, eager to listen.[/blockquote]

"Just a figure of speech," he assured her. "But the shop is just south of the park. A little place called 'Anne Marie's.'" He said.
Tell her something about myself? He thought, Hmm.
"Let's see... I play guitar, but not the kind most people like. Death metal, Djent, stuff like that." Umbreon curled up between them and started to doze. He thought for a moment. He hadn't really talked about himself much before, whether out of suspicion or just preferring not to. "I like computers, Italian food, and books." he said, counting off on his fingers. He patted the cat's head softly, prompting him to crack one eye open lazily before closing it again."What about you? You like cats, I can see that much. And tea," he grinned.
He watched the people go by as he spoke, listening to the water pour into the fountain. The Summers were always nice this far north, he thought. Down in Georgia, the Summers were either blazing hot or pouring with rain.

Raising her brows a bit, Alina looked over him slowly, ”Oh…got it. I was going to say, despite anything, you don’t really seem like a trouble maker. You seem quite nice and friendly, and relatively well behaved, actually.” Sometimes the words that came out of Alina’s mouth were so proper, she didn’t know where it came from. She was sure to some people, she sounded like she came out of an old, calligraphy story book where they used ‘thou’ and ‘art’ to tell the fairy tales. Though honestly, if she could be anything, she WOULD be a fairy. Just because she thought she’d be pretty good at it. She already had the looks for it. But honestly, apparently anyone could look like a fairy, so that didn’t even matter. She nodded a bit as he said it was a figure of speech. So he wasn’t really trouble, he was just making a point. She thought a bit, looking towards him. ”If it’s close, do you mind if you take me there? I mean…if you have nothing else going on today. I never did ask you…whether or not you were planning on going somewhere else. I kind of just stopped you.” She giggled a bit, looking over him a bit. Anne Marie’s sounded much more fun than anything else she had been planning on doing before. He would have to show her around, make sure she got her look around the store in a way she was supposed to. Alina made sure to keep her complete attention on Gaius as he spoke about things he liked. Even when the cat curled up between him, her blue eyes were still content on resting on Gauis’s face. She smiled a bit, asking questions every now and then. ”Did you name your guitar? I had a friend who named hers…” It was cool he was into different stuff – she was too, but she didn’t even know where to be BEGIN to describe hers. ”I like that. Are you good at playing?” If his answer was yes, she’d insist he play for her. Even if it wasn’t yes, he should still play for her. That’s what it would come down to. She shook her head, ”I’m not very good with computers. Still learning. But Italian food is pretty good.” She sighed as he mentioned books. If she had the attention span and the words would stop moving across the page, maybe she could actually get through one. She smiled just a bit, laughing and shaking her head. ”I like cats…I like tea. I uhm…I like to make things. I’ve made a pair of shoes before. And a tutu. Though…it got kind of ruined but.” She thought a bit. What else did she like? ”I like lollipops…and Hello Kitty. Old foreign movies, painting…and fairies.” She looked at him a bit sheepishly. He had to know he was going to get an interesting answer asking her that, he just had to.[/blockquote]

"I'd be happy to show you," he said. He was always glad to bring more business to his mom's place, and having someone form the school come by was a good way to get the word out.
"But yeah. I like to think I'm pretty good. I know a couple of things besides what I usually play, so I guess I've got good range." That was one of the few things that he knew he was good at. "I never thought about naming my guitars though," He said, shaking his head. He'd never given it any thought, but he knew his mom named her car.
He listened intently when she listed what she liked. This girl was interesting, he thought. She didn't hold back things that most people would think to be childish or silly. He liked that sort of honesty. She also seemed very artistic.
He stood, scooping up Umbreon. He put the cat in his bag before putting it back on. "So you like to make things? That's cool. I had a friend back in Georgia who did pottery, but shoes and... tutus?" He grinned, "That's new. You ever think about selling your designs?" He asked, getting ready to lead the way to the shop. He slipped his sandals on idly.

Alina’s features brightened, looking up at Gaius excitedly, ”Would you really? That would be lovely…” She only wished he was taking up offering to take her because he wanted to, not because he felt obligated to. Alina never liked feeling like she was making someone do something they didn’t really wish to. ”Thank you…” She wanted to thank him for more than just agreeing to take her. Though she felt he would probably think she was a bit odd if she just thanked him for talking to her. It would make her look like more of an outcast than she already kind of was. Because…she was. She smiled a bit, hugging her knees to her chest after a bit. She would let her feet dry from having them in the fountain. ”I’m sure you’re amazing. You’re probably really good. You’d blow ME right out of the water…” She giggled a bit. She wasn’t really a guitar player. She’d honestly never tried. She was more of a singer. If someone could play the guitar for her while she sang, they’d be golden. ”That’s good, knowing a little bit of everything will get you far. So is that what you want to be? A musician?” Meaning when they…he got older. Alina thought it was a beautiful thing to aspire to. Much better than a designer. She smiled lightly, ”Well, now you can think about it. If you ever need any help, just ask me. I like to name things. And now you know where to find me.” She laughed. Of course with that last comment, she meant at the school. She really hoped this wasn’t just a one time thing, and that this was the only time he’d talk to her – outside of school walls. What good was a friend if they had conditions and only had certain times that you could actually talk to them? Not much of a friend. Alina didn’t think Gaius would be like that. He seemed like the perfect gentleman. Alina was half expecting him to be kind of weirded out when she listed things she liked, but he seemed to almost…not be surprised. Well, that was good. She slipped her shoes back on lightly, standing with him and waving to the kitty as he went back into the bag, her attention turning back to the curly haired male, nodding. ”I do. I’m not crafty with things like pottery or anything. I mean, I can paint, but. I like to make accessories. I’ve decorated an old pair of sunglasses once…” She thought about his next question and shrugged after a bit, ”I mean…I wish to, someday. When I perfect it and have the means to actually sell more than one thing to people. I’ve had a few commissions, but right now, it’s more of a…I fix up my own things and advertise them myself…kind of deal.” Alina moved close to him. She had the strangest want to hold onto his sleeve or his hand, but she refrained, looking up at him. ”Alright…lead the way.” She smiled up at him.[/blockquote]
