POSITIVE TRAITS
- hard-working -- no convoluted history behind this, she's just always worked hard in school, and always felt it was important to not do anything half-assed. it's just kind of the way she is.
- go with the flow (...within reason) -- morgan likes to believe that she's rather...lenient. she enjoys being around the people she loves and can take a joke as much as the next person, and there are times where her friends will come up with the dumbest of ideas and she'll go along with it. but, once it crosses into territory where she faces potential humiliation, the claws come out, really fast.
- silly -- this is a side of her only known to her best friends, but underneath her hard exterior, she just likes to joke around and have fun, be it having water gun fights or thinking that inflatable bounce houses would be the best birthday party ever. but again, this is only limited to those who know her really well.
- pleasant -- morgan operates on a principle that usually has her being quite civil and polite to people, and she treats people how she's treated in return, and that's the end of that. thankfully, maple hollow is a rather nice place to live, but if you manage to do something that just rubs her the wrong way...seriously, look out.
NEGATIVE TRAITS
- hell hath no fury... -- basically? do not cross her. not only will you have incurred the wrath of one badass, capable thunder, but she will make sure you and all your dead ancestors feel it, too, as well as your future generations, and your chances of ever getting on her good side is basically .0001%.
- prideful -- she comes from a rather hefty pedigree, which may have to do with how she turned out, but she's severely proud of who she is, and being embarrassed or humiliated is, well, a surefire way to get on her bad side, but also something she just cannot handle. call her overemotional, but it doesn't just reflect her own person, but her parents', too.
- fiercely independent -- basically, you can either get with her program or just go away.
- intimidating -- not without reason, of course, considering, but the air she carries herself with tends to say, "please do not mess with me," and it scares people away. the thing is, she's really not actively trying to hide it -- she's just who she is. she knows that if people were to give her an actual chance, that they'd probably find someone they really could get along with, but most don't try, and if that's the case, then morgan probably doesn't want you around, anyway.

BEST MEMORY when her parents decided to teach courses in their respective fields one summer in australia while she was in college; they didn't feel the need to take her with them when they left, so she spent it gloriously alone.
WORST MEMORY when they came back.
LONG-TERM GOAL to work for the government in some capacity

HISTORY
the thing about morgan is that most of the time, she doesn't know whether her path in life is driven by her wishes, or her parents'. sometimes they blend, but at the end, morgan always winds up with something she thinks is right, but isn't sure if it's what she wants.
this goes back to the days where morgan, then young and impressionable, often found her parents whisked away to Very Important Parties, where everyone dressed up all fancy and talked using very big words about things morgan couldn't really understand. that isn't to say she had parent issues growing up -- quite the opposite! her parents were attentive and doting and always wanted the best for her and morgan, having no reason to distrust them, went along with it, for making them happy made her happy.
however, it was always ingrained in her that their family was the best, and she needed to measure up. playtime with family friends and their kids almost always ended up in a one-upping competition. her parents always told her that she was born to do great things, and if you want to say that 'expectations were high', well...that isn't too far off the cuff. going to the academy was a given, as her father was an elemental himself, though of the wind variety, and it was there that morgan began to actively think for herself, and what scared her the most was realizing that her own, personal self wasn't all that far off from what her parents wanted -- and expected -- of her.
the biggest difference was that morgan didn't like biology, which her mother taught, nor law, which is what her father practiced, but rather, took a liking to political science, sometime in her freshman year of college at the academy. despite pressure to follow in her father's footsteps and study law, morgan opted for political science as her field of choice in college, because to her, if you're going to bail someone out of going to jail, they should at least be able to point out where canada is on a world map -- otherwise, really, what good are they even for? and for less harsh reasons, politics absolutely fascinated her -- the different kinds of governments, what people believed in, how civilizations changed with the coming of organized government. politics had a stake in everything, see, and morgan wanted to know it all.
armed with her tenacious spirit and finally, finally, some sense of what she liked and wanted to do, morgan applied for a generic social studies teaching position at the academy as she began to unfurl herself from the influence of her parents, deciding to use a bit of down time to further plan out what she wants to do next. this is her first year teaching at the academy, which brings its own challenges, but she's not anything if not ready to bring it.

HOW'D YOU FIND US? an
SECRET WORD Correct.
RP SAMPLE"No," Piper started to say as she slung her bag off her shoulder and set it to the side, sitting down in the delightfully hideous pink and white frilly chair across from the blonde. "You're just early."
That was maybe sort of kind of a lie, but whatever, Piper wasn't about to give Daniel the benefit of knowing that, anyway. After all, they were there under the pretense of having important things to discuss. She wasn't about to let Daniel know that that was pretty much a lie; she just missed his face, that was pretty much it.
And all right, there were one or two things that she thought he should know, but they were minor! True story! Really, this meet up was just a matter of formalities, anyway. Piper had things she wanted to know, and she figured the nice thing to do was to take the blonde sod across from her out for lunch.
She didn't want to be stereotypical, but for whatever reason, she and Daniel stuck to each other's sides a lot throughout their years at Hogwarts, both of them being the rare Asians in an otherwise predominantly European school. And if she were to admit, she tended to believe in the Slytherin Pureblooded ideology, but Daniel was that exception. She found that Daniel was the exception for a lot of things regardless, but it was nice to have someone around who just understood; she rarely ever had to elaborate about things that happened back home because he knew. Piper had her share of friends, of course, but having Daniel was like a breath of fresh air, like the sweet cream in her morning cup of coffee. Perhaps they weren't best friends, but they did have a special connection to each other. She tried to ignore it and be politically correct for six years, and finally, she figured, fuck it. They were there for each other when no one else could understand. Everyone else can draw their own fucking conclusions and say they were being elitist. Piper couldn't care less anymore.
She paused before speaking as the waiter of the establishment came their way, offering them menus, then scuttling away again. "I don't suggest anything with tomatoes in it. Just saying." Piper piped up, taking a sip of her tea, which, although it was pink, still tasted like regular tea. She shut her menu -- she always got the exact same thing, every single time -- and set it on the table. "I'm going to assume you're not blind or deaf and heard about the Jenna and Rosier thing." Piper quipped, leaning on the table with her elbow, resting her chin in her hand.
