Devin was so short, she realized again when she hugged him. She'd kind of always known it, but it was the kind of thing that she didn't really think about until she somehow noticed again. She did that all the time, actually. This time, she resisted the urge to say it out loud, though, just in case. She was just about the same height as him in her heels, but they weren't all that tall... It was pretty adorable, she had to say, how tiny he was compared to some people she knew. "Probably pretty slippery," she figured, making a face and shaking her head. The idea wasn't a fun one. She'd probably cry if she had to skateboard uphill on an ice patch... Actually, though, she didn't actually know how to skateboard and had only tried it once or twice, so it was hard to tell. "Settles it, though, you are definitely not skateboarding home tonight if the weather is bad." She'd probably just forcibly shove him into a parka or something first if she could, but that was her back-up plan (following, er, find him a ride, of course). "Dev, you are the most graceful person I know," she teased. "Look up grace in the dictionary and there's a picture of you there." Or possibly, somehow, a video of Devin tripping all over himself, more likely, but Sandra didn't really mean anything by this. Clumsiness wasn't exactly something she could fault someone else for, especially not when it was Devin -- quite possibly the cutest thing since kittens were discovered.
She could definitely agree with that much. "Nobody ever. They'd be hard put even trying to come close," she said, scoffing and waving a hand in a random direction -- the middle of the room -- as if to say that those people didn't even have a chance. That was... just about everyone in the room, actually! That was appropriate, she thought. "Hey!" She tried to act affronted at his comment, but it didn't work as well as planned -- her face cracked into a grin anyway and she laughed right along with him. "Now I have to do it just to show you." She didn't know how on Earth she was going to make that happen, but there was always a way! Actually, now that she thought about it, she got an idea, and she bounced up and down a little bit, excited. "Hey, actually, you know what, let's do it! For Halloween! You can be Captain Canada and I'll be Einstein. And we'll be awesome." She still had no idea as to how she was going to obtain a Captain Canada costume, but she was taking this one day at a time, and there were still ten months or so left before she would have to start showing results. "Didn't that hurt?" she asked, eyes a little wide. She'd never held nunchucks, at least not real ones (fake, costume ones were a different story), but she knew that they were actually pretty heavy and frightening. She didn't know how people swung those things around in stunts. "This is true... At least Samba music's fun though. Could be something way more depressing playing in your head." She couldn't think of anything off the top of her head, but Samba music was pretty fun stuff.
Somehow, the Academy had a severe shortage of lazy people or something... Okay, this was definitely not true, because a vast majority of the people here were teenagers, and teenagers were some of the very laziest people anywhere on Earth. Sandra had slightly advanced standards when it came to laziness, though, so it did kind of make sense. She knew of no one quite as lazy as she was. "I know, right? Laziness is a curse, Devin," she said, shaking her head slowly and sadly. She got the sudden image in her mind of an entire pool full of Timbits that she could dive into, and just swim around happily and never have to really resurface until she'd had her share. Sandra liked swimming too, even, so it was pretty perfect. "Best heaven, to be honest... They can forget about all of that other stuff." She didn't know what "other stuff" there was in heaven, but if Sandra had a say in it, there would be mountains upon mountains of Timbits, with rivers of Timbits running throughout. Oh, the life... or afterlife. Sandra followed along, deciding that this was slightly more important than food when she was at prom -- and this was saying something, because food was almost always Sandra's first priority. When he broke out his dance moves, she started cracking up, bent almost double for a second, before she recomposed herself. She just followed suit then, pulling out whatever moves she could think of on the spot -- the running man was her best by far out of all of them. "Pfft, you're the best dancer to grace the halls of this place." She laughed, but was slightly disappointed when the DJ (teehee, and it wasn't Devin) changed it to a slower song -- that stuff had been pretty fun. "You'll have to try hard to be a gentleman," she teased, relaxing her arms over his shoulders, a process again made way easier by the fact that they were so close to the same height. "You'll do fine, don't worry." She giggled. "See, you even did the sprinkler earlier without ending up just flailing around... You're doing great so far!"
(edit: aaand we are ending this here, i think! ♥)
