Dress up occasions were usually fun; it gave him time to actually use those few nice suits he had collected over the past few years from prom, to weddings, to other random events that required a nice jacket and tie. A couple of times he nearly choked himself trying to get the tie to sit perfectly on his neck, but managed well enough. If Athena had been home she might have been able to help him out a little bit. In fact, she was going to be past her curfew soon and Devin had grown somewhat exasperated. Hasn’t been here but about a week and she’s already pushing her limits. Judith had requested that he keep decent tabs on the girl to ensure she did not go getting into any trouble or stayed out into the wee hours of the morning. Devin was glad to oblige. He did not like the fact that his little sister might be wandering around with a bunch of guys. Funny, being the kind of guy he was, that he even bothered to worry about it. I know what guys are capable of. It was a legitimate concern for him. Protecting his family was always important, no matter what sort of lifestyle he functioned with on weekends. Devin finished getting dressed and spent a little extra time on his hair before heading out the door towards the Academy, skateboard in hand.
A bitter wind slapped him in the face as he tore off down the sidewalk. Winter was not his favorite season by any means, but such was the cycle of nature. Eventually spring would be here—a season he actually preferred—and things would start to warm up again. It was a rather comical sight to see a short blonde kid riding his skateboard through Maple Hollow in a nice black suit; people took a moment to stop and watch as he went by with quizzical expressions on their faces. He did worry about people staring at him but what was he going to do? Fly to the Academy? That would be wonderful! Smiling and ignoring the insecurity he pushed onward and did not stop until he hit the front of the castle. He propped up the skateboard on the outside steps out of everyone’s way; he was not concerned about it being stolen, really. If it was, oh well. Devin straightened up his jacket one last time before walking through the doors and into the mess hall. His blue eyes shone with excitement at the decorations and the people milling around the room chatting with their friends and dates. My last prom… He thought sadly before scanning the floor for his date. Sandra had agreed to join him, which made him happy. She was a good friend and it would be a fun time.
“Hey Deej!” Blue eyes shifted slightly to catch sight of one of his friends. He smiled. “Hey Terrence!” Devin greeted back, walking up to give him one of those ‘manly’ hugs where they partially hold hands and give one another a firm pat on the back. Terrence had a girl standing next to him with a shy smile on her face. “Is this your date?” He asked. Terrence nodded and wrapped his arm around her waist. “Yep! We were just about to go grab some food. Wanna come with?” The other boy gestured to the table on the other side of the room graced with mouth watering Hors d'oeuvres. Although Devin was tempted to follow them over there and pile his plate high with something to eat, he shook his head and declined the offer. He glanced out at the mass of students again. “I’m actually looking for my—ah! There she is. I’ll talk to you guys later.” The blonde waved Terrence and his girl off before walking over towards Sandra. Well, damn. He was stunned by her outfit (he almost tripped over himself staring for a second or two) and it took all of his willpower not to look her over like he normally would anyone else. She’s a friend. Can’t do that. Devin trained himself on the back of her head with a bright smile as he reached over and tapped her shoulder gently. “Hey beautiful! I love your dress.” He side-stepped and came to meet her face. Devin was a complementary person by nature and if he thought someone was beautiful or pretty he was not afraid to say so. “You ready to be my prom date for the night? I promise not to trip and fall flat on my face for your sake.” Or, at least he would try.

Not having a car of her own (or even her license yet, yeesh, she should do that at some point), Sandra had pretty much had no choice other than to ask Matt for a ride to prom. It wasn't that she didn't want to ride with her brother or anything, because really they got along pretty darn well -- without all that gross best friend type of sibling thing -- and he did, after all, drive her to school almost every day... but mostly, Sandra kind of just didn't like bothering him for that kind of thing. He'd agreed anyway, though, and later it had made her feel way better about getting the ride when it turned out that Lieanna had asked him to be her date to prom and so he would be going too. Then, it had been even better really when Nell had shown up to help them get ready -- a pretty fun affair in itself -- and they'd concocted their own plan to sneak her in. After getting there and handing over her prom ticket and all of that jazz, she'd started with her own part of the plan: being the distraction. She was pretty good at distracting people, actually, and she hadn't actually done anything terrible. First she'd started by asking security if they'd seen her date, describing Devin in excruciating detail. "Uh, blonde hair, blue eyes, about this tall, Earth kid, Grade 12, super friendly and adorable... Come on, I'm sure you've seen him around tonight!" When security had seemed umimpressed by this, she took slightly more drastic measures, getting a tiny bit of water on the floor (thank you, mom, for being a Water elemental and passing that on) and walking over it, slipping and falling near the door and pretending to be hurt.
Once they'd gotten in, Matthew and Nell had eventually rescued her from the clutches of security, her ankle "injury" had magically healed itself, supposedly, and they'd gone off. She'd slipped away, though, because it had seemed like a terrible idea to have Matthew intercept Devin first or something just in case he tried to make threats. She didn't know where the two had gotten to anymore... Well, that was okay -- now she just awaited her date. They were just going as friends, of course, so really there was nothing Matt should be worried about anyway, but the idea of having a prom date was kind of cute and fun, at least she thought. She would have probably gone anyway, though, and just hopped around with her friends, being a general cockblock for those of her friends who were, unlike herself, in relationships. Either way she thought it'd be pretty fun, though probaly in different ways. While waiting for Devin to show up, though (she kind of felt bad that he'd be skateboarding here still when she'd gotten a ride) she got a little bit distracted by a friend on the side of the room, and she'd bounded off over there instead. That probably wasn't a good idea if she'd be trying to locate Dev later, but Sandra had honestly never been the greatest planner, and hey, she had her phone in her handbag and so she was confident they'd be able to hunt one another down later if need be.
"Hey Jessica!" she greeted, giving the other girl a hug. They chatted for a few minutes -- apparently Jess was trying to find her boyfriend, having lost him somewhere... somehow. The story was apparently a really funny one, but Sandra only ever got to hear half of it, because after that they'd spotted the girl's boyfriend, and Jess had hurried off before she lost him again. This left Sandra alone, but she didn't mind -- it was kind of understandable considering it was their last prom, though Sandra herself had another year. Not two seconds later, anyway, before she'd had a chance to become distracted yet again, she felt a tap on the shoulder and then came face to face with (surprise, surprise) Devin. "Hello, handsome!" she said in return, laughing at how corny she sounded. "You look pretty spiffy yourself! I dig your choice in suits... and the tie was a nice touch." This last part was said kind of snarkily and she grinned at her own wit -- she had, in fact, bought him the tie as a gift to match her dress. She reached over and fixed his hair a tiny bit. "I'm guessing you skateboarded here?" She was just judging by how windswept his hair was. "Please don't die of pneumonia or something." It was cold out, and part of Sandra was seriously not okay with his skateboarding here in his suit and stuff, but there hadn't really been much they could have done about it, and Devin had seemed alright enough with it. "Very ready! And I... can't make that promise for myself, but let's just try not to fall and get concussions tonight or something."
(lol bam, dress! the turquoise one, that is.)

The blonde actually blushed slightly at her complement; he was not unaccustomed to them entirely but who did not like to hear that they were handsome or beautiful? No one he knew. He rubbed the back of his head and chuckled to clear himself of the initial flush to his cheeks. “Nah, no handsomeness here. I feel completely underdressed next to you.” Devin smirked and looked down at his tie. It was the one Sandra had given him to match her dress so they looked remotely coordinated. He actually liked the color and planned on using the tie again in the future. When he would wear another suit he was not sure, but the thought was there. “I know right? My prom date really does have the best taste. I don’t know where I would be without her.” Without a matching tie. That’s exactly where he would be. And it was fun to match and dress up! He almost felt like a 007 agent in his nice black suit and shiny shoes. All he was missing was the maple syrup gun and slicked back hair. Maybe Sandra could be his crime fighting partner? Devin closed an eye and smiled as Sandra fussed over his hair, which did look a bit out of place after skateboarding all the way towards the Academy.
“Yeah, all the way here from the house. But hey, it was good exercise!” He admitted with a shrug. It was of no bother to him; how else was he supposed to get to the prom? Fly? While that was an awesome thought it was not possible. He moved a small strand of hair from her face and laughed off her concern. “Aww. Don’t worry. I won’t go and die any time soon. There’s no plans for that. At least not until after prom.” He smirked and took her hand gently in his own, giving it a light squeeze before walking with her across the room with no particular destination in mind. “Excellent! What are you up for first? I’ll do whatever you wanna do. So long as it doesn’t involve us getting injured, because that would not make for a good time.” Devin laughed a bit. He was always the follower. Decision making was not in his repertoire of strengths and he did not claim it to be so. Normally it was just too difficult to come up with someone that would please everyone so he left it up to everyone else. He was happy with almost anything his friends wanted to do anyway. “You will have to dance with me at least once tonight though. I didn’t really get to enjoy dancing last year so I’d like one memorable dance.” After a moment he realized that his statement sounded more of a demand than a request and quickly altered himself. “Well, I mean…would you do me the honor of a dance later? I’m not the best on my feet but I can be a decent dancer.”

"Pfft," Sandra said, shaking her head at him even as she kept on grinning. She was definitely in a very, very good mood -- how could she not be? "That is definitely a lie, I think you look pretty sharp. Fresh. Pretty fly for a white guy." She nodded like this were a totally normal reference to make randomly. Devin did look good though. Most people did get pretty dressy for prom, naturally, so this wasn't at all out of place. She laughed and gave him a quick hug of greeting, kind of. "You should definitely do something nice for your prom date in return. Buy her food or something." Sandra would always be thinking of food, but in this case it was definitely a joke. They were here to have fun! She usually didn't even get hungry at dances and things like that -- it was like she started running on pure adrenaline and fun and music or something ridiculous like that. "There," she settled, deciding that his hair wasn't going to get any neater than this -- and besides that, it was kind of cute the way it was, anyway. "I guess, but if it's colder later we're going to try to find you a ride home," she said with the tiniest of frowns. Then she smiled again, a little more contentedly and warmly this time than the usual excitable grin. "Seriously, it's like, about to start snowing outside." That wasn't too bad, admittedly, if it was just dipping toward zero and it was already December, but she still thought it was definitely too cold for him to be skateboarding around outside.
She giggled and laced their fingers together, hoping they weren't about to be spotted by Matthew -- even though it wasn't like he had anything to worry about. They were just two friends at prom. Still, her brother got some pretty weird ideas in his head occasionally... or often. "Darn, there goes my plan to start with bungee jumping from the top of the Academy," she said, snapping her fingers as if to say drat, like Swiper from Dora the Explorer when he was stopped or something. Instead she just followed along, even though it didn't seem like they were actually heading anywhere in particular. Any one spot in the room was just like another, she figured, except for the snack table and the various groups of people milling around. "Doesn't really matter to me," she sang after a second, not being terribly picky. Her only real plan for the night was to have fun, which probably wouldn't be that hard all things considered. She was a pretty positive person anyway. "We could grab food or find other people we know and drag them along or anything! You're right, though, I'd just be disappointed if we didn't even dance at all tonight." She didn't even know what the song was that was being played, but it was pretty upbeat and fun. Well, she could find out later. "I mean... Yes, sir, I would be honoured to share a dance with you! Just, I mean, don't step on my feet too much or anything," she teased, giggling a little. Devin's clumsiness was not a well-kept secret, but she was sure he'd do just fine. Even if he didn't, there was no real harm done anyway.

Devin laughed and popped the collar on his suit, passing her a rather serious (but model-like) type stare. Eyebrow quirked, lips pursed, a tiny little smirk dashed on the end. "I guess I can clean up nice enough when I want to," He admitted before trying to fix the collar on his suit. It did not quite sit the way it was supposed to but after a moment or two of trying to adjust it he gave up. There was nothing to worry over. Although it seemed like Sandra was joking about the food, Devin merely smiled at her and nodded. Anything for the people he cared about! "Hey, I'll take you wherever you want. We could go to a buffet and have an eating contest? Though I'm sure if it involved any sort of breakfast food I'd be screwed, huh?" He loved his junk food and could eat a lot of it, but he knew how the girl was about food as well. Hell, they even came up with a Captain Canada costume and claimed he would wield a maple syrup gun for all of their breakfast-y goodness. Devin stood still as she fussed with his hair, a few of the movements causing him to giggle. It almost tickled with the way she shifted it around. He rolled his eyes upward as though he could see his own hairdo. "Thanks!" Even if it looked unruly he was not all that concerned. So long as Sandra was not embarrassed and ready to go hiding out under a rock he was okay.
"Ah, don't worry about me!" He slung his hand down to dismiss it. "I'll manage just fine. I'm Captain Canada remember? Made of steel and awesomeness, y'know." Snow? It was going to be a frozen ride of hell back to his house. But he did not really mind all that much being as there was not much of a choice. If someone had offered him a ride in the warm confines of a car he would not say no, but did not want anyone to go out of their way to find him said transportation. Devin squeezed her hand a little and chuckled, keeping her close. "Little miss daredevil, I see! Maybe you should attempt bungee jumping where there's water instead? Might be a liiiiittle safer. I'd like to keep you around for a while longer." He smiled at her, feeling incredibly comfortable and in a wonderful mood. Sandra really did bring out the best in him (outside of Josh) and it was unexplainable. Perhaps it was because they were kindred spirits in laziness and junk food eating and video gaming that made it easier? That, and her personality. Sandra was simply a bright person, and he liked that. Devin groaned a bit at her lack of choosing what they would do; he was too indecisive for his own good. "Maaaybe...we should do all of it at once! We can eat, and talk to people, and dance at the same time." How on earth would they do that? Magic. He thought with an inward laugh. "Or how about...we munch on food first and then I can play 'dodge Sandy's feet'? And we can just talk to people in between." Did Devin Thatcher just make a decision? Yes, yes he did. He was shocked with himself.

Well, that was the understatement of the year, she was pretty sure. Prom was definitely a dressy event, one of the few occasions a year when kids could wear something formal (or formal-ish, anyway, as formal as cocktail dresses and things like that were) without being overdressed. From what she'd seen, everyone looked really good, and Sandra had to admit, apparently everyone she knew was pretty darn attractive. She didn't really think about thesse things on a daily basis, though. "Don't worry, that looks fine!" she said after a second of watching him mess around with his collar. It was a little bit crooked, actually, but she hadn't really noticed before he'd started playing with the thing. "Pfft, you'd be screwed either way," she said, sticking a tongue out at him, but this probably wasn't true. He was considerably bigger than she was, not that this was saying much. "I am beast, yo! Can't out-eat me." She liked sweets but kind of just liked to eat in general, too. If it were a spicy food competition, though, especially with hot sauce, forget it -- she'd wipe the floors with pretty much everyone she knew, except maybe her dad. She'd had to get it from somewhere. At his dismissal of her worrying, she gave him a brief pout, but it was gone again quickly. "Captain Canada braves all the winters!" Sandra laughed before nodding a little bit more seriously at him. "If you say so. We'll see how cold it is later." She would have offered him a ride of course, but Matt's car seated two, and it seemed like a bad idea to stuff her prom date into a trunk or something.
She followed dutifully, considering she had no idea where they were going. Luckily, though it was definitely crowded, there weren't so many people that it was actually possible to get separated or lost or something. That was potentially hilarious, though, if they had to find each other or something -- it would be an adventure story to tell later. "Well... we could go out to the lake and try it out there," she said, laughing, but even then she wasn't sure that bungee jumping over water would be any safer. If she remembered correctly, hitting water from a height like that was pretty much the exact same as hitting concrete, and she didn't think her Water elemental skills would be helpful. She wouldn't be at the top of her game when she was hurtling out of the sky, she was sure. "Though I mean, hey, you're not supposed to die when you go bungee jumping. S'long as nothing goes wrong!" She still probably wouldn't really try it, though. Sandra was definitely too weak-hearted for that kind of thing. She giggled as he groaned and then laughed even harder at his suggestion. Hey, she'd be impressed if they could actually manage to do all of that. "Multi-tasking to the max! Let's do it," she said, though this probably wasn't the real plan. His real decision made much more sense, even though in Sandra's experience plans got derailed very easily. "Sounds good! To the food!" She lifted her free arm and pointed it, with gusto, in the direction of the food table, then started off in that direction. She had no problem taking the lead when the destination involved food, after all.

"You sure?" He puckered his lip a little as he looked down at his suit and observed the collar. It was not as nice as when he first put it on, but at least he did not look like a short, white pimp with his collar flipped up. Although he had to admit the image was pretty hilarious. Devin lifted an eyebrow and smirked at her. "Oh, is that a fact? I'm not so sure about that." He replied, already accepting the challenge. "I can put down food too! Human garbage disposal, right here." He pointed to himself and twitched his eyebrows up and down. "We should make a bet out of it! Though that requires deciding on what the winner gets." He tapped his chin and looked thoughtful, seriously considering this eating contest. It was all in good fun! Any time with friends was cherished and Devin was almost always up for doing random things with them in order to make the memories even more memorable. He caught sight of her little pout and chuckled; she was so endearing! Sandra always managed to brighten his mood, and that was hard when he was already a fairly bright person to begin with. He just enjoyed the fact that they were so similar and could have fun. "Every winter. My muscles and manliness scare the cold away." Devin lifted an arm and flexed it a little even if nothing was visible. The jacket and shirt somewhat got in the way of that. He nodded at her and shrugged, not all too perturbed by the cold. He did appreciate that she was concerned about him though and that made him feel good. Ever the one to be constantly worrying about his friends it was nice to know others did the same towards him. "I think I can survive. It's just one night."
Devin had braved worse things. He had been the human punching bag of the Fires and Thunders, tripped over flat surfaces and managed to beat himself up, dealt with his step-mother. If he was still alive today there was a reason. That did not mean he would go out of the way to place himself in harm's path, though. "Let's not and say we did? I would prefer to avoid dangling a few inches above the water by my ankle." He chuckled and made light of it, but was still serious. Devin was not the sort to do dangerous things, like bungee jumping or skydiving. That was scary shit and no thank you. "Nooot quite sure if that's comforting or not." Devin pointed out, casting a sideways glance at her with a smile. If Sandra decided to go and bungee jump for whatever reason he would be there to make sure he did not have to save her from drowning or something like that. Devin was not CPR certified and who knows what would happen if he tried to use it? "Dude, we could totally juggle plates of food or glasses of punch while we do the Salsa. And talk to people while we're spinning around." He whirled his finger in a circular motion, the image making him laugh. Devin, multi-task? That could potentially be dangerous. With his grace and ability to trip over air, there were so many things that could go oh so wrong. Like faceplanting into a plate of food at Sandra's feet. He followed her over to the food willingly, glad that his decision was not all that bad. Sandra was such an easy going person, which was probably what made it easier.
Devin approached the table with her and let go of her hand in order to get something to eat. Huh. His hand felt strangely empty. Shrugging it off, he made himself a plate of some of his favorite things and began to munch away on them. "I guess we should find us a place to sit down for a bit? There's a few open places..." His bright blue eyes scanned the room and found a table that had one or two students lingering around it. That might do! Once he was sure Sandra had her food he motioned towards the table and went to sit down. "They did a really good job with the decorations this year. I'm impressed!" He stated, leaning back in his chair. Last year was somewhat of a blur but he did take notice of the decorations. "Hard to believe that I won't be able to go to any more proms. Unless I go with a highschool date I won't be able to make my appearance. Show my beautiful face and all." He shook his head and sighed, as though lamenting over this. In all reality it was a rather sad thing considering he was incredibly social and liked to do these sorts of things with people. Go out and have fun. Although he did do the party scene and liked to drink he also knew how to have a good time without it. That was what separated him from many of the people he partied with. "And you won't be able to after this coming up year either will you?" He remembered that she was a year younger than he was so she still had one prom to go. That did not mean she would not go when in college; she had a chance at being invited by a highschooler to go.

"Positive," she answered, nodding at him for emphasis. "No one would notice!" Well, maybe a few people would, but Sandra hadn't before he'd said it, so she thought they were probably okay. She didn't really mind that much, anyway. It was kind of cute, in that goofy awkward sort of way. She gave him a look as if to say "bitch please" at his proposal of an eating contest. "I could take you," she then said, after making a show of sizing him up. He was a pretty short kid, actually, though still taller than she was. She'd never really taken note of that before. "Hm... what if the loser pays for all that food? Or winner gets whatever they want after the fact." She really couldn't think of anything that she actually wanted right at the moment, but she'd pretty much be up for whatever. Neither of them were very decisive or picky, she'd realized over the course of a few years of friendship. "Does it? Do you yell 'come at me bro' at the cold, but he never does becaues you're so frightening?" she asked. There was a pretty awesome mental image of Devin walking outside on the first snowfall of each year, shouting "come at me, bro!" and then laughing in the cold's face because it refused to come near him. Uh... she was pretty sure that didn't happen, though, which was just unfortunate. She'd be pretty impressed. "One cold night," she insisted, but then she just shook her head at him. Prom had pretty much just started -- there was probably no use worrying about things that would happen at its end.
Actually, the thought of sky diving sounded frightening no matter where it was from. Sandra could handle the thrill of roller coasters easily enough -- well, she was terrified of them, but in a good way -- but that was pretty much as far as she was willing to go. She'd probably be the one crying on the plane if she were ever told to go sky diving. "Well, we can't lie," she said, grinning. She tried to make a point not to, but overall she didn't have all that much to hide. Sandra was pretty much an open book on most things. Plus, she was a terrible liar. "Let's not and then not bother to say that we did anyway." That kind of thing might be fun, though. She might try it, maybe, one day, but for now it was pretty scary. Sandra was probably uncoordinated and kind of stupid enough to forget to do something crucial while in midair or something, and that was just a great way to go splat on the ground. "Can you imagine, though, if we did it? In prom outfit and everything. I'd be impressed with us..." She'd be impressed with anyone who went skydiving, or bungee jumping, or anything crazy like that. "What, like eating salsa while dancing hte salsa?" She considered this for a moment. "Pfft, I could totally do that in my sleep!" That was a serious lie, but it was okay in a joking context. She was pretty sure, though, that if they did try it only bad things would come of it. Neither of them were very coordinated. There'd be food all over the place for sure, and since they were all dressed up and snazzy-looking, that'd just be a little bit sad.
There were snacks and sweets and the like, and Sandra kind of made these her main focus, though truth be told she wasn't actually all that hungry for once. She also assumed that the eating contest wasn't right now or anything, though she was still going to stick by her firm belief that she could definitely beat him. Either way, she wandered off a little bit from Devin along the long table to search for food, and then eventually came back to rejoin him. "Yep! Unless we want to actually try dancing while doing this, but I'm sure that'd just end really badly," she said, grinning as she noticed cupcakes a bit down the table. Oooooh. She grabbed one of those and stuck it on her plate as well before following him over to the table. "They did, they're really pretty!" she agreed, nodding a few times to show her enthusiasm. Sandra was generally just in love with everything in the world around her, though. "How were the decorations last year?" She couldn't even be sure that he'd gone last year (she wouldn't remember something like that) but as he was a year older than she was, she'd assume that he had. "It's weird to think you'll be, like... a college student or something," she said. She was only a year from that too, but it felt like ages away. "Though you never know about prom! Someone could ask you. Or me, if I can't find a date or something... Wait, not as in like you're a second choice or something, just -- you know!" She waved her hands around a little, kind of embarrassed as she tried and failed to explain herself. She hadn't really meant it that way at all, though; mostly Sandra was just the type to go along with whatever happened. A year was a pretty long time. "But nope! There's this year and then next year and that's it." She smiled a little. The idea of growing up and all that was a very weird one.

Devin wiggled his eyebrows and made a 'come at me bro' sort of motion, all the while flashing her the brightest of smiles. He liked good competition, so long as it did not involve someone beating his face in should he come out the winner. He was competitive but not so much so that he was willing to rage about it and harm someone else. That was far from his nature. "I'd like to see you try. No one can match my skills, baby." He pointed to himself, his thumb poking at his chest. Ow. Such a sensitive guy. "I was already planning on buying, so I guess that's out huh? So I guess we can go with the other one." He asked, passing her a glance to see her reaction. Devin liked to do things like that for people, being as his friends were always so good to him. Really, it was the least he could do for them putting up with him on a daily basis. Sandra was probably one of the few who was a truly kindred spirit though; quirky, liked to turn everything into fun, and was always so upbeat. Josh was his best friend and nothing would ever change that, but having Sandra around was welcome too. "I'm like, the scariest guy on earth, y'know," Devin nodded for emphasis, trying to make a scary face. What a fail. "I scare off the cold and make my enemies quiver in fear of my amazingness." He did not really think all that highly of himself, but could manage bragging as a joke. "Yep! Unless you're willing to go with me and keep me warm, then there's not much I can do." Devin twitch a smirk and winked at her before finding other points of interest around the room. Although it was not meant to be perverted he hoped it didn't sound that way to her. Normally he did not care but this was Sandra, not Josh or one of his other guy friends.
"We aren't lying, just...omitting certain truths." Devin pointed out, still smiling. It was almost permanent. "But okay, we can do that. Whatever makes you happy." Though they were merely joking around Devin always did whatever made others happiness. Most times he would sacrifice his own good time in order to help someone else. That was, if he felt it was worth doing so. Devin only did things that he wanted to do. Period. He laughed at the image of them skydiving or bungee jumping in a tux and a dress. That would definitely have to go up on the internet. "I'm definitely going to go on Youtube and see if they have anyone doing that." Who knows what he could find? Youtube had so much random shit that he might go from watching people skydive in a suit to a cat who could sing the alphabet. The recommended videos led you to some really weird videos. "Sandy, you are a genius! Could you imagine how amazing we would be if we could do that. And like, one of us has the salsa and the other has the chips and we kinda dance around and eat..." The image was incredibly hilarious and he started to chuckle. He was clumsy as hell so he was pretty sure that the dance would end in utter disaster. All it would take was one misstep and they would have a Mexican fiesta all over the floor. A delicious mess to be sure, though he was not quite sure they would want to lick any of that off of the floor. Disgusting. "You can dance in your sleep? That, right there, is talent. You're gonna have to teach me." Devin briefly wondered what sleep-dancing looked like and how weird that would look.
Although his plate was full, Devin continued to peruse the food on the table. Why did they have to have such awesome snackage? Such a temptation. He could sit around and eat that stuff all day long if someone allowed him. Tonight he had his date, though, and wanted to spend time with her instead of with a plate of food. He would not have asked her to come just for that. He laughed. "Yeah I'm pretty sure that'll end badly. We should avoid the dancing and food combination I think." He could try to laugh off his embarrassment if he did find himself on the floor but that would not make him any less insecure. Confident as he acted he had a lot of insecurities. Autumn didn't help that either. Devin glanced over at her at her question before taking a seat. It almost prevented him from sitting down altogether. "They were really nice," Devin finally managed, though it felt as though he were swallowing sandpaper. "Didn't stay for the entire prom but definitely nice. They did even better this year though." He finally sat down and bit into some food. Now his blue gaze strayed over the room to find himself whatever distraction he could. He did not want to be thinking about Autumn right now. Especially now with Sandra here. He wanted to focus on her and spend time with her. It was weird to think he would be a college student but did not let it bother him all that much. Maybe the change wouldn't be so bad. He stole a glance at her as she tried to rectify what she said. She's adorable. He smiled. "I know, it's okay! I understand. If you don't find yourself a prom date I'd be glad to go with you." He honestly did not mind being placed in second, though being first would not have necessarily been a bad thing either. "And then you'll be in college. Getting old and all that." He teased gently before taking another bite of food.

She laughed when he poked himself in the chest -- she couldn't tell if he'd meant to do that or not, actually, but she didn't say anything about it. It was generally not in her best interest to make fun of guys' manliness, she'd learnt, even when it was a good friend like Devin. "Nuh uh, can't beat natural-born talent," she said kind of cockily, giving him her most confident of grins. She wasn't sure if she actually could really, but it was in good fun and, at least, they could both be pretty good competition for each other, she was pretty sure. "But sweet! Gives me time to think of what I get as a prize." Sandra was really just bursting with all the confidence in the world, sometimes. Devin's attempt at a "scary" face made her giggle -- way too much -- but she still pretended to cower at the sight of it. "Eep, remind me never to get on your bad side!" Then she relaxed back into the usual smile, though. Devin was one of the least threatening people she knew, honestly -- many of the Earths were like that, she'd long figured out, but... Devin was so cute and squishy! She honestly couldn't imagine him being considered a threat to anyone. "I'm not sure both of us would fit on your skateboard at once," she pointed out in response to his suggestion, laughing a bit. Even with the wink, she didn't notice any perverted ways to possibly interpret his words... and she probably wouldn't have even if he'd meant it on purpose. Such was the innocent mind. "Otherwise I'd love to, though... but we'll figure something out."
Well, she hadn't actually been that serious about it, but she laughed at Devin's response. "Ah, well, I guess omitting a bit of the truth is fine," she said with a mock air of reluctance, though she smiled widely at him. He was too nice, seriously, so willing to go along with whatever other people said and whatever made them happy. Sandra... was actually pretty similar, when she thought about it, but she didn't usually consider that kind of thing. This was just one of the things she found altogether adorable about Dev. "Hey, send me the link if you actually find one!" She laughed at the mental image. Her dress would probably be flying around everywhere, though, and that didn't sound all that fun... except maybe it did, but it still wasn't really a good idea. "Doubt people would join us if we tried to make this a prom trend, though." Maybe a few of the really adventurous ones would, but other than that... it was doubtful. Most of them had some kind of sense of self-preservation... heh. "Huh? I am?" She blinked, then grinned and wiggled her eyebrows (or tried to) once she realized what he meant. "We would be like, the best multi-taskers ever! And then there's people all around us dancing too and trying to steal our food, but nope, we're too quick for them." No... if anything, they would step foot on the dance floor and immediately fall over, but anyway, that was that. "Can't everyone sleepdance?" she asked, feigning surprise. She was a pretty heavy sleeper though, actually... so Sandra literally had no idea what she got up when she was asleep. She was pretty sure she stayed relatively still and didn't by any means get up and dance, however.
Sandra had some pretty awesome conversations with people, with any kind of imagineable topic, but some of her favourites by far had been with Devin. Most other people took themselves so seriously, some of them too busy to hang out or some too boring to provide anything funny to the conversation... Some were just caught up in their own self-destructive lives, and hey, Sandra figured they could do what they want, but Devin had still managed to be absolutely adorable, hadn't he? She didn't know other people's deals at all. "Well, yeah," she agreed, grinning, "at least until we take some really hardcore dance lessons. But at that point if we could eat at the same time we should go on like, So You Think You Can Dance or something." Sandra and Devin were both generally positive people and prom was, of course, a pretty happy occasion, so when the mood seemed to shift a little, she noticed. She probably wouldn't normally have, but his sudden aversion wasn't really that subtle, but with difficulty she bit back the questions -- were they really that nice, did you bring a date last year, why didn't you stay for the whole prom? -- and just kept quiet for a few seconds. Instead, she reached over and took his free hand again. "You okay?" It was kind of a relief when he smiled again. She didn't like when her friends were upset in general, let alone on a night like tonight. "Good! Unless you're a terrible date this year, then maybe you'll be out for consideration," she teased, giving him a suspicious look as if she were afraid he would be a total jerk or slob or something. That was pretty much impossible for Devin. "Not as old as you!"

Devin made a mixture of a purring and a growling sound, making a clawing motion with his fingers. He really was not that scary at all. He was more like a stuffed teddybear than anything else. "Oh, I'm not sure if you'll ever get on my bad side," He replied, smiling, the growling facade now gone. "I don't have a bad side when I'm around you." Devin did not have much of a bad side with anyone but with his friends he was extremely easy going and loved to smile and be uplifting if possible. He tossed his hand in a dramatic dismissal gesture, tossing his head to the side a little. "Oh psh. I'm sure we can make it work! I'll just carry you." Sandra did not seem to catch onto the suggestiveness in his words and silently he breathed a sigh of relief. Part of him wanted her to understand and the other half would have been embarrassed. He knew she was sweet and a bit innocent but he did not know to what extent. "I'm sure we can figure something out. It sucks not having a car sometimes." The blonde pouted a little bit but it did not last for long. Did it ever? Being without transportation could be such a nuisance sometimes but he did not want to complain far too much about it. When Judith moved back home with Athena she said that they would start going on the hunt for a car of his own. Until that point she said he could use her car whenever it was available. That meant no more skateboarding around in the freezing cold or the sweltering heat or any other extremely uncomfortable weather. The only downfall of being an Earth as opposed to a Fire was the inability to learn how to manipulate heat. Maybe Josh could be his personal heater? That would be amusing.
Out of his friends, there were only a handful of them that Devin truly enjoyed joking around with and being himself. First and foremost was his best friend, which pretty much goes without saying. When you've known someone for most of your life it's a bit hard to place the man anywhere else. Then there was Nell and Sandra and Anna and maybe one or two others. Those select few were people he loved to have his fun times with. He was glad Sandra went along with his randomness. "I will definitely send you the link! Who knows? Maybe I'll find some really hilarious stunts-gone-wrong or something you might enjoy too." So long as no one was seriously injured it could be laughable. Devin was not the type to laugh at someone's pain unless he knew that it was minor. Little slip ups and the like. "Psh. We don't wanna set a trend. We wanna be unique." He flashed her a smile, and then nodded at her eagerly. "Yep! Genius Sandy! Like Einstein only you're a beautiful girl as opposed to a creepy old man with fluffy white hair." He placed a hand over his head and lifted it upward to display how Einstein's hair was. Fluffy, like he had been electrocuted and he left his hair that way. Devin laughed and shook his head, the image really starting to amuse him. They were so goofy. "Nuh. They can want our food but they can't have it. Our dancing skills will make it nearly impossible for them to steal." He puffed up his chest and nodded at her to confirm this to be true, even if it was never going to happen. The image was still causing him to chuckle. "Oh, no, just special people. It's a secret art that only a few know about."
Sandra probably did not realize that her easy going spirit and ability to carrying out a joke was incredibly relaxing. He could be himself around her (he was himself around everyone, but loved when people actually enjoyed it), and that was a welcomed thing. "And we could win major prize money. Me and you babe, me and you. We will be so awesome they won't even know what to do with us." Devin smiled again, even though there was pretty much a smile on his face the whole time. It was almost permanent. He had not felt this light in a long time. Sandra was working wonders and she probably did not even realize. She did catch on to his temporary change in demeanor, however, and he had not intended for her to. The response had been subconscious. Devin closed his hand around hers as she held it, fingers lacing part way. "I'm fine. No worries." Although Devin was still smiling and looked okay, he did not quite feel that way inside. Holding Sandra's hand helped though. More than he thought it would. As a form of thanks, he lifted her hand and gave it a quick kiss before letting go and finding focus on the food in front of him. He hated that a girl that practically did not exist in his life was effecting him right now. Fortunately with his date being so bubbly and bright he managed to push past some of the nagging insecurities he felt and focus solely on her. He trained his blue gaze finally on her face and tuned in to her words. "Then I will do my best to be the best prom date in the whole world." Devin chuckled and took another bite of food. So many positive distractions, he was grateful. He pouted again. "Hey! I don't need a cane just yet. Only when I have one of those can you call me old." He could not even imagine hobbling with a cane or using a walker. Growing older certainly had its disadvantages.

Sandra cocked her head to one side as she looked at him, trying to figure out what the heck he was doing, before she realized that this was Devin's attempt to be scary. He was pretty terrible at the whole thing. "Eep, frightening!" she said, giggling and shifting a few inches to the left as if she were trying to get away from him, but she held onto his hand and followed along still. Devin was squishy, like a teddy bear or a puppy or... or something. She couldn't even explain it, honestly, and all she knew was that seriously, he was possibly the cutest ever. "And skateboard at the same time? While we're dressed in prom wear?" she asked, grinning. "I only know of one guy who could manage that, and unfortunately it's not you... It's Captain Canada." She was kidding, obviously. She did know about his secret identiy and what-not, after all. "At least you can drive, though," she pointed out. "Are you planning on getting a car sometime soon?" She still hadn't gotten around to getting her driver's license... actually, she hadn't even taken the silly written test yet, but she'd been assured by many people that it was easy, so hopefully it would be okay. Maybe she would go for it when the new year came. She'd been old enough to for a while now. "As long as no one goes splat," she said with a giggle. Pretty crazy things were uploaded on Youtube, though, and she could probably spend hours on the video site, browsing the Related Videos and searching for whatever came to mind.
Well, actually, Sandra thought they were pretty unique as it was, just looking at the two of them. Nobody was quite like that, she was almost certain... but then again, hey, Sandra wasn't exactly an expert or anything. "I think we already are," she said, pulling a face and then laughing. Yeah, that was probably evidence enough. She was seriously way too easily amused, and Devin did nothing but encourage this type of behaviour... but at least they had fun. Sandra didn't really care about much else, to be honest. She was pretty simple in that regard. "Heyyyy," she interjected, putting on her best offended face as she looked over at him. "Are you saying that if I had fluffy white hair I'd look like a creepy old man?" Man, that would actually be pretty weird, now that she thought about it -- Sandra's hair wasn't that special or anything, but she was pretty fond of it, and it was pretty long and straight. There wasn't anything fluffy (or white, but that could potentially change with time) about it. "Nearly impossible, unless they're ninjas," she said, nodding, "in which case they might have a shot... but only maybe. We're just too good." She laughed when she saw him puff up his chest, and she raised her free arm to flex her muscles as well... It was too bad that physically, Sandra was kind of a wimp. She wasn't as light and pathetic as she probably looked to people, but it definitely didn't show to make her look intimidating or anything. Then again, she didn't go around trying to scare people. "Only special people, eh? Can you learn it, or is it just one of these special things you're born with? How intriguing!" She giggled.
Dancing shows were pretty fun-looking, she thought. She didn't really watch much TV really, but once she'd watched an entire marathon of one of those competitions all in the span of a weekend, and it had been really good, honestly. Most fascinating, though, she'd thought, were how close people seemed to be despite being competitors. Well, they were obviously way, way better dancers than either herself or Devin, but hey, at least they looked like adorable friends. "Nope, not at all," she agreed. "I don't know though, I think if we were actually good enough to win money I'd still be too lazy... Those shows seem like intense stuff." She wrinkled her nose at the prospect. "Then again, imagine all the Timbits we could buy with the prize money..." Sandra had her priorities in order, clearly. "Okay," she said simply enough at Devin's assurance that he was okay, but she found that it was hard to know for sure. She would just have to take his word for it, though -- the girl wasn't psychic, and really, she wasn't... even that good at reading situations most of the time, though she sure as heck tried. She smiled brightly when he kissed her hand, though, feeling the warmth in her cheeks even though it was okay, it was no big deal. Devin was kind of adorable and lovely, she realized. "You're off to a pretty good start," she told him with a giggle, and it was true, though this whole conversation was pretty ridiculous. "And I don't know... eighteen already... You're going to be an old man before we know it!"

Devin pouted playfully and looked hurt. "Oh, I see how it is." He replied, heaving a dramatic sigh as he looked at her with sad, blue eyes. "Captain Canada is replacing me now? That's kinda how it was for Batman too. They admire the hero but not the man underneath." He was of course teasing, and betrayed himself soon after he finishing whining with a bright smile and a chuckle. He would honestly be bothered if someone preferred his superhero form over being a civilian if he were someone like Superman or Batman, though. It only meant that he was not good enough. Sandra did not make him feel that way, so his teasing and joking was light and meaningless. He nodded at her mentioning that he could drive, then shrugged. "I think so. When my aunt moves back to the Hollow she said we would start going car shopping. She won't be here until after the first of the year though. Until then, I'm skateboarding it up." He chuckled and mimicked a skateboarding move, nearly tripping over his foot and falling over. He stood back up straight and acted as though his little fumble didn't exist. "Nothing to see here..." He rubbed the back of his head and looked embarrassed. Sometimes he wondered how he even managed to survive skateboarding...or life in general with his impeccable grace. Once recomposed he chuckled and nodded in agreement with Sandra. Devin wouldn't want to give her videos like that anyway. If she was interested in that sort of thing she could find them on her own. He would not feel comfortable sending her things like that.
He liked that they were unique. Devin knew that he and Sandra were pretty different to begin with; they sort of stood out from the crowd. For the most part it was unintentional, but other times they went out of their way to be different. He liked that he could do that with Sandra. "Yeah," Devin drawled out, glancing around the room. "I think we're pretty unique already. No crazy dances or food needs to be involved." Although that was the fun part, wasn't it? The boy threw up his hands and waved them in front of his face to dismiss her accusation. He tried to look a bit taken back, but Devin could not seem to stop smiling. "No no of course not! You'd look gorgeous, as always." He found all of his friends beautiful or gorgeous or handsome so this was no lie by any means. Even so he felt his face turn a little warm. Devin reached out and toyed with Sandra's hair for a moment before pulling back and laughing. "Ninjas? Hmm...yeah, they might stand a chance but our awesomeness is pretty awesome. I wish them luck." He put his hands on his hips and tried to look like he was ready to fend off a horde of ninja assassins, which was hilarious considering Devin could never raise a fist to anyone. Well, he could, but it would have to be a pretty special situation for him to do so. His chances of winning were quite slim. He held up a finger. "Oh, I think it's something you're born with. And most people don't know they have it." If you're asleep, how would you know, right? Someone would have to see you doing it and tell you. Then again, this entire conversation was just silliness. He liked that he could do that with Sandra.
Dancing was certainly not in Devin's repertoire of 'amazing skills', being as he had the grace of a one-legged duck. That was fine by him though; he managed well enough without having any spectacular dancing abilities or anything else that required he not have two left feet. Lazy, yes, but he was smart and had quite the stash of random knowledge in his head. He was good at video games and being social with people. Maybe those would be useful later in life. Who knew? He did not like to dive too far into the future. Living in the moment was more his style. More impulsive. Devin made a face. "Ohhh yeah...work. Right." He huffed a sigh. "Why does everything that lets you win money require so much effort! Well, except for scratch-off tickets. You can win money that way. And we could buy a lot of Timbits." Although the chances of winning a good amount of money was very small. He knew that. But still one could hope. Devin squeezed her hand and smiled at her as he always did, though his blue eyes held something...different. They looked almost distant and pensive. I'm glad I have her here. He wanted to thank her ten times over but refrained. Maybe later. "You think? Well, let me know when it starts to go downhill and I'll try to fix it." Devin replied with a chuckle, then it turned into a slightly stronger bout of laughter. "Oh, well...I mean I'd like to get in a good dance before I get too old to function. So..." He finished most of his food but decided he could come back to it. Devin stood up and offered his hand to her. "Wanna dance with me?" He hoped she would say yes.

Sandra was no pushover or anything, but it literally took one sad look from Devin to make her fold and give him a hug. "Awww, it's okay, Captain Canada could never replace you!" That was true. CC (as she had nicknamed him as of that very moment) was a superhero, but he probably wouldn't just sit around and play video games with her under the pretense of "studying"... wouldn't take her to prom, wouldn't be the cutest thing ever. Nah, if it came down to it, superheroes were boss, but nobody was Devin. Sandra's friends were pretty irreplaceable in her ilfe. "Isn't it hard with snow and stuff though? Skateboarding, I mean," she said, frowning a little. She imagined that wheels weren't that great in the snow and ice that covered the entire city of Maple Hollow in the winter. Even car tires didn't always do a stellar job, and they had real snow tires for those. Maybe there were snow wheels or something for skateboards, she thought wildly... but for all she knew, it could have been true. Hey, it was hard to tell. People came up with all kinds of things around here. She laughed a little too hard when he almost fell over, though she didn't intend for it to be mean. "I didn't see anything! But are you okay?" she asked, still giggling a little bit. That was pretty typical Devin behaviour, though, so she couldn't really say she was surprised. Though she hadn't really seen him trying to do any tricks or anything, she figured he was slightly more graceful on a skateboard than on his own two feet.
People who had to try to be unique or different or original or something probably weren't, all that much, Sandra figured. They had to have been basing it off of someone else's "uniqueness", after all, so it didn't really work out that way. The two of them... well, apparently they were unique, but in actual fact they were probably pretty normal people, all things considered. Sandra was just a little happier than most, that was all... and Devin just happened to be hilariously clumsy and adorable. "Definitely not. We can totally get along without it... but it'd only add to all the awesome, 'cause I mean, look at us." She laughed. The girl was brimming with confidence, but maybe not to that extent. She did think they were pretty ridiculously epic, though. They were at least cool enough for that. "Good, glad you think so," she said, giggling and nodding. "Because I was seriously considering making my hair white and puffy this weekend." That was a joke. She liked her hair just fine the way it was, and she wasn't about to go doing crazy things to it. Well, she might do a bit, but Einstein-esque hair was not in the gameplan, no way. "Dunno, we might have to invest in a pair of nunchucks to include in our choreography so that we can take them on," she said. She didn't really know if ninjas used nunchucks, though. They probably didn't. Hell, she had no idea! "Something you're born with..." She considered this for a second as if this whole thing even slightly resembled a serious conversation. Sleepdancing could have been genetic, she supposed. There were plenty of things that were genetic that she wouldn't have guessed before she'd learnt of these things in Bio class. (Granted, she'd forgotten most of these things by now. Exams were done, there was no more need to worry!) "Interesting! You probably have it too, though... You just wouldn't know."
Doing work was pretty lame, honestly. Even when it came to an actual job, one in which she got paid... well, she didn't actually have one, but she might when she got to college, and she was seriously debating whether or not it was worth it. She figured that after graduating, if she stayed with Matthew in the Hollow, then she'd be getting a job to pay for her own half of the rent instead of her parents -- and if she didn't, then she'd probably be heading back home or something like that. Fair was fair. She didn't like to think much about the future, though, and she pushed it out aside in order to nod in agreement with what he said. "Seriously! So stupid how you only get money for doing work. I'll have people know that sitting around all day and sleeping and eating is hard enough work," she said, equally huffily. "All that business of converting oxygen to carbon dioxide, y'know." Okay, that wasn't all she did, but... it turned out to be a pretty decent amount of it, yeah. The rest of the time she mostly just hung around with her friends and did whatever she felt like doing, but hey, she could only ever be young once. "Seriously, all the Timbits in the world... That must be what heaven is like." She was also a pretty big fan of all other kinds of foods, though, not just sweet things -- people shouldn't really be fooled. "Doubt it will, but --" She was distracted then when she realized what he was asking. "Oooooh, yeah, of course!" She giggled lightly but sobered up for the most part as she stood and took his hand, letting him lead the way. Hey, Sandra wasn't exactly knowledgeable on this whole... dancing business. She just liked to have fun.

He was definitely not expecting to receive a hug from Sandra, but hey! Who was going to deny free hugs from their friends? No one. Smiling, Devin hugged her back, noticing how comfortably she fit in his arms. Normally people were a fair amount taller than he was so it felt nice not to have to reach up or hug their waist (Josh). Devin enjoyed the moment before pulling her back and shrugging. "Eh, it can be a pain in the ass, but the roads are usually pretty clear. The ice patches going up-hill aren't fun though." He had learned to manage over the course of being car-less to deal with the wintry conditions that Canada had to offer. The snow was awful, and caked itself on the skateboard wheels, but if he stuck to the street and the cleared sidewalks he did pretty well. If the snow was fresh he normally just took to walking. Saved him the grief. When Devin tripped and Sandra laughed, at first he felt a little more embarrassed than he should have but brushed it off well enough with his own little chuckle. "I'm fine! Just me and my amazingly graceful self." He played it off well enough, he thought. There was only the nagging thought that he might faceplant whenever they did decide to dance, and that would be the most embarrassing moment. He was not quite sure if the shanking episode would be worse or not. I just hope I don't have to find out.
Devin actually claimed himself to be a rather unique person. Not because he had two heads or four feet, but more that he knew no one could be exactly like him. No two people were alike. Like snowflakes. "We are the epitome of awesome, Sandy. No one can match us, no matter what we do." He gave her a firm nod of confirmation, as though confident in this fact. Devin actually thought they were pretty awesome, at least by his standards. He liked the way they could talk about random things, but if it came down to it they could be serious. At least, he thought so. There hadn't been a whole bunch of serious conversations to be had as of late, he supposed. Devin trusted that Sandra could be a good support for him though, and he for her. He would do anything for the people he cared about. It was really difficult to contain his laughter. "I seriously could not imagine you with white poofy hair. I just...I can't." He tried to cover his mouth and keep from making the laughter any louder and barely managed. The image was simply hilarious. A bright and smiling Sandra with...white fluffy hair that stood up on end. He simply couldn't. "Ohh, nunchucks?" Devin looked interested, then looked as though he were recalling a memory. "Last time I tried to mess around with some of those, I wound up hitting myself in the face. Not really a surprise though, huh?" He chuckled at himself, making light of his clumsiness. Devin raised his eyebrows and tapped his chin, glancing upwards as though dwelling on this. "Hmm, it's really possible. Maybe that's what the random Samba music was doing in my head."
Laziness was his middle name. He did not like doing things that required mass amounts of effort unless it was something he wanted to do, like play video games or hang out with friends. Prom was fun too, and he did not mind spending time dressing up and spending time with Sandra in the least. "Dude that is the hardest thing to do. Ever. People simply do not understand how difficult it is to be us. They really don't." Devin shook his head and sighed dramatically, slumping his shoulders a bit. Being lazy was actually the easiest thing to do, but hey, for someone who was lazy doing anything else was just too complicated. "Yeah...what a delicious heaven that would be." He rubbed and patted his stomach at the idea before laughing, imagining a world made entirely of Timbits. Devin could only smile brightly as Sandra took his hand and seemed really interested in dancing with him. They could be silly and goofy and have their fun. He gave her hand a gentle squeeze before leading her out among all of the people on the floor and started dancing. The music tempo was a bit faster, and he hesitated. Club dancing would probably not be okay with Sandra. That actually made him feel uncomfortable even thinking about it. What would she even thing? Instead, he started with the lawnmower, then the grocery cart, then the sprinkler. "My dance moves are just...incredibly amazing," He commented, laughing. When they hit a slower song, Devin stopped his spaz dancing in time to glance at her with a smile. "Hmm..I wonder if I can manage to be serious." He put on a serious face (though a small smile was still there) as he put his hands on her waist. "I hope I don't step on you, or fall on my face." That would not be good.
