POSITIVE TRAITS
- Intelligent;; Brielle has a mind like a steel trap and a quick wit to match. Anything she hears or learns about, she retains and remembers forever, often resulting in her spewing out random and sometimes useless bits of information. She loves to learn and enjoys furthering her knowledge, if only to make others look stupid.
- Sweet;; Despite popular belief, Brielle does have a soft side. Its just buried deep, deep...DEEP down. She doesn't really know how to express herself in a calmer, gentler way or express her sweet, loving feelings, so it often just comes out as jealousy and possessiveness.
- Independent;; Brielle is very independent. She likes doing things her way, even if that isn't really the easiest way or the "right" way. She enjoys doing the exact opposite of what people tell her to do, just to be difficult and to show her independence. She doesn't like having to depend on others for things and really likes to do things on her own, with little to no help. Preferably no help.
- Confident;; She has no problem being herself in front of other people, and she isn't afraid to do what she wants, when she wants. She doesn't give a damn what others think of her, and prefers to step to the beat of her own drum, even if that means going against the crowd.
- Honest;; She has no problem saying what she wants, when she wants and to whoever happens to be around. She'll give you her opinion, even if you didn't ask. If you don't want a blunt, brutally honest answer, but rather you want someone to sugar coat things for you, don't ask her. That's not what she does.
- Charming;; When she wants to be, Brielle can be very charming. She has a deceivingly sweet smile and she can really turn on the charm. She has her own special way of wooing people with her quirky manner and sense of humor that kind of draws people in and makes them want to know more about her.
- Adventurous;; She loves to do crazy stuff. She just does. You name it, she'll probably do it. Brielle is usually up for anything, minus hard drugs and serious crime, like, say, murder or something of the like. She's totally up for anything from pranks to jumping out of planes. She's an adrenaline junkie to the core.
- Quirky;; Brielle, when you get to know her, has a very quirky, almost strange personality. She has some very defined opinions and ideas that stray far from the norm (for instance, she thinks roses are overrated and kind of ugly), and she just has a very unique, different view of the world that she doesn't have a problem sharing with others.
- Energetic;; She has tons and tons of energy, and then some. She just goes and goes, and doesn't seem like she ever takes or break or has to sleep. She loves to be outdoors and always doing something, whether it is some sort of sport or just running around causing trouble.
NEGATIVE TRAITS
- Temperamental/irritable;; Though she can be pretty easy going and laid back, it doesn't take a whole lot to set her off if you catch her in the wrong mood. She has a pretty nasty temper and swift mood swings that often leave the people around her with whip lash and feeling like they have to walk on eggshells when with her.
- Blunt;; This goes hand in hand with her honesty. She just doesn't think before she speaks and really doesn't care if she hurts people's feelings in the process. She figures if you can't take a little blunt truth, you shouldn't be venturing out into the world.
- Quiet/mysterious;; Though she is very opinionated, Brielle is more the quiet type. She doesn't make an effort or go out of her way to talk to people, and usually only speaks if spoken to. Not that she has an aversion to people; she just doesn't like small talk. It bores her. She's also kind of a question mark for some people because she doesn't say more than needed. She doesn't give out any more information than absolutely necessary, and she doesn't ask you about yours. She really just likes to keep her private life private, not really one to run around spilling every detail of her life to total strangers.
- Sarcastic;; She has kind of sarcastic sense of humor and enjoys making jabs at people that aren't necessarily meant just in fun.
- Stubborn;; Brielle has a stubborn streak. When she believes in something and anyone else tries to tell her different or that she's wrong, she just digs her heels in further and stays there. Nothing can budge her when she's set her mind to do something.
- Aggressive;; She can be very aggressive and has a tendency to get physical when she gets pissed off. She doesn't really take the time to think things through that well or attempt to settle things in a civilized way; she just jumps straight into a fist fight. She loves to fight and sometimes picks fights with boys just to see if they'll get riled up enough to throw some punches.
- Vindictive;; Yes, Brielle can be quite the vindictive bitch. Though she loves to settle things in a physical way, she also has a flair for plotting revenge if you've just angered her beyond anyone else ever has. She enjoys thinking up sick, sadistic ways to get back at that person and has come up with some truly creative ways to do so.
- Jealous/territorial;; Brielle has a tendency to be very possessive. She has lost several boyfriends because of the way she gets so jealous when she even hears about them talking to other girls. She hates the thought of having to share people she loves because she's lost so many important people in her life that she tends to hold on too tightly.

BEST MEMORY
Her best memory is when her father had to start taking her to dance lessons after her mother left, and he would sit with all the other moms the whole time, blowing off whatever else he had to do (like going to the gym with her older brother), just to watch his daughter dance. Afterwards, he would always take her to get ice cream, no matter what, and they would sit in the parking lot, eating their ice cream until they were both done, talking about anything and everything that Brielle could come up with. Those are the memories she cherishes above all others because it showed her that there was still someone there that would always care about her and never leave her.
WORST MEMORY
Her worst memory is when she got pulled out of class December of 6th grade and was told that her father had been in a car accident involving a drunk driver. She knew before they even told her the rest that things weren't looking good for her father. Her gutt feeling combined with the look on the principal's face was enough to tell her that. Her father died in the hospital a few hours later from severe internal bleeding that couldn't be stopped and other massive injuries. She found out later that the drunk driver that had T-boned her father only suffered a minor concussion along with some bruises and scrapes. Ever since she's harbored a seed of bitterness, anger, and pain over the whole thing, and has never really forgiven the driver that killed her dad.
LONG-TERM GOAL
Her main goal is to not end up like her mother who got pregnant then dropped out of high school at sixteen, had her and her brother, then disappeared six years after Brielle was born. She does NOT want to become her mother. Her other goal is to open her own dance studio and eventually make it into a successful, competitive studio.

[ SOMETIMES I REMEMBER THE DARKNESS OF MY PAST ]
MOTHER Mae Elaine Jespen (should be about 39), was a nurse.
FATHER Joshua Alexander Asper (would be 41), DECEASED.
SIBLINGS Jordan Blake Asper (19), in college to become a physical therapist.
OTHER Her grandmother, Lynn Asper (or Grandma Lee as Brielle always called her), (67), retired.
HISTORY
Brielle grew up in Brooklyn, New York in a small, run down apartment with her mother, brother, and father. Well, for the first six years of her life. A few months after Brielle turned six years old, her mother disappeared. Just left without a word. There was no explanation for why she left, no note or words of goodbye. She was just gone. At first, Brielle blamed herself for her mother leaving. As a little girl, she believed it was something she'd done to make her mother angry enough to leave them all, she thought she'd been bad or done something wrong. No amount of reassurance from her father or brother could convince her otherwise.
As she got older, she realized it wasn't her that had made her mother leave. Her mother had left because the stress of having two kids, a husband, and bills to pay that just kept piling up at nineteen was too much for her. She couldn't handle the pressure, didn't want to, and she left. But it wasn't until Brielle was much older that she realized that.
Growing up with only a father to raise her and a brother for company made Brielle tough. She didn't have a motherly, feminine presence in her life unless she got to go to her grandmother's on rare occasions. Yes, she still went to dance class with all the other girls, and she still got to wear pretty girl clothes, but Brielle was mostly raised like a boy would be raised. She didn't play with dolls or play house like the other little girls. She went to the gym and learned how to fight like her brother and father. She played football and basketball with the older boys, and ripped and stained more clothing than her father could keep up with. She grew up as one of the guys.
Brielle thought life was pretty good. She had friends (mostly guys), she got to dance and play sports, she had a great older brother and father. Sure, she didn't have a mother, but she had few memories of her anyway. Life was good. All up until December of her 6th grade year, when her father got in a car accident with a drunk driver and died just hours later. After that, her life came crashing down around her. Brielle became introverted and hostile, prone to lashing out at anyone who came too close, even her old friends. She pushed everyone away but her brother, letting her grief and anger overwhelm her until she became the quiet, irritable teen she is today. Gone were the happy, tomboyish ways and in its place was a rough and tumble, aggressive, jealous girl.
After her father died, Brielle and her brother moved in with her grandmother (her father's mother), or Grandma Lee as they called her. Now Brielle had a motherly presence in her life constantly, but it was too late and grandmother wasn't exactly the most nurturing of people. She was more the "Get your ass up and get over it" type rather than the "Oh, it's okay honey, let me kiss it" type. Which was fine with Brielle. She wasn't interested in being coddled.
Signs of her having her father's element, thunder, started to show when she was fourteen, starting with small zaps of electricity when she felt some strong emotions then slowly progressing to accidentally zapping herself if she grabbed something metal when she was especially angry, resulting in the numerous burn marks on her hands and wrists. Shortly after, she was enrolled in the Academy to learn how to start controlling her element because people kept telling her that was "important". She kept up with her dance lessons even though there was period when she almost quit after her father's death, and is slowly regaining her love for it. She regularly goes to the gym to train in mixed martial arts and kick boxing to curb some of her pent up aggression, though it has a less than impressive track record of keeping her from hitting people. Really, it just gives her more tools to make others feel pain when they piss her off. Brielle hasn't changed much since her enrollment, and really, she's just waiting for the day that she can get out of here and get far, far away.

RP SAMPLEHis tortured sounding mumbling and the rustling of sheets woke Bellamy from her own fitful sleep. She'd become so accustomed to the sound of it, that every time he moved now or spoke even a little bit, she jerked awake, fully conscious, and fully scared and worried. Wide blue eyes, still clouded with sleep, landed on his restless form and her lips twisted in a grimace. He looked so helpless, so scared, but of what she still had no clue. Since she'd checked him into the hospital when he'd started showing signs of having the bat flu that was now raging around Evergreen, his fever had spiked to new heights and with it had come these horrible, tortured sounding pleas for help and for them to stop hurting him. ”Don't let them hurt me.” That was what he kept repeating, and even though she had no clue who or what he was talking about, every time he said those words, it tugged on her heartstrings and made her yearn for a way to help him; a way to make his suffering stop and to make whatever he thought was hurting him go away.
Their marriage hadn't exactly gotten off to a wonderful start, with him showing up to the wedding drunk then asking if she wanted to go get a drink the second they were married. Let's just say that that night out to the bar hadn't gone as well as one would have hoped. But she'd made a promise to herself that she would try to make this work, and it was as simple as the fact that Bellamy just couldn't bring herself to leave him alone when he was like this. She was too caring, too sweet, and her mothering instincts went far too deep for her to ever leave him in the hospital alone. Besides, she was his wife now, and despite their problems, somewhere inside her, she knew she cared about him. For Bellamy, it was hard not to care about people, even perfect strangers. Send a cry for help, and she was sure to answer. That was just who she was.
Clumsily she pushed herself out of the uncomfortable hospital chair, almost tripping over her half empty coffee cup and spilling the cold contents all over the floor as she did. Her brain may have been awake, but her body was definitely still in dreamland. For the three days that Josh had been here, Bellamy had left all of three times: to check on her puppy, Molly, take a shower and change clothes, and make sure their house was still standing all of those times. While here, she hadn't gotten much sleep, what with Josh tossing and turning all night and the doctors and nurses coming and going to make sure he was still breathing on their way to other patients. The staff was stretched so thin that they'd even left her some fever medication that was supposed to bring down his fever and ease some of his pain, only to be used if it was desperately needed, of course.
She stumbled her way to the adjoining bathroom in her slippers, rubbing her eyes and pinching her cheeks to wake herself up more as she did. As quickly as she could, she filled two cups with cold water and grabbed some towels that were hanging by the sink. Hurrying back to his side, she set the cups down, then carefully sat on the edge of his bed and soaked one towel in water. With a light, very gentle touch so as not to scare him, she pushed his hair back from his forehead, always surprised at how hot his skin was to the touch. This bat flu was definitely no joke. She kept stroking his hair back from his forehead gently with one hand, while using her other hand to lightly dab at his forehead with the damp cloth, hoping to cool him off enough that he would relax enough to take some fever medication so he could hopefully get some more sleep, murmuring to him soothingly in her soft, southern drawl as she did. "Shhh.. You're okay, Josh. I know you didn't do anything. You're safe, you're okay, honey. Nobody is hurting you. Nobody is ever going to hurt you again, sweetheart."
She didn't know why she said that last part. She didn't know why she told him nobody was ever going to hurt him again. Bellamy had no way of knowing if he'd ever been hurt before in his life, but he was so scared now, so sure that someone was coming to get him, that someone was hurting him. She would say anything to him if she thought it would get him to relax, if she thought it would ease some of his suffering. Even though they weren't exactly hitting it off, it was killing her to see him in this state.
