CLOTHING STYLE Being and extremely vain individual, Lakens’ style reflects that as well as other aspects of her personality. She has an alternative yet high fashion style that she pulls off very well. She enjoys bright colors along with witty or cute phrases. The only thing she truly steers away from is any type of shoe other than tennis shoes on a daily basis. If an occasion calls for a different type of foot wear she’ll most assuredly oblige.

POSITIVE TRAITS
- Determination:
Laken always finishes something she sets her mind to. She has goals and she’s not afraid to do what needs to be done to achieve them.- Loyal:
Once you’ve earned her trust, she’ll stick by you no matter what. If that trust is broken; however, it’s likely that you’ll never get it back again. This sentiment really only applies to those of the Thunder of Fire element; however.
- Blunt:
Never one to hold her tongue, Laken truly isn’t afraid to tell you how she honestly feels about you or about a situation you’ve put yourself into.
NEGATIVE TRAITS
- Impatient:
Not so much with tasks, but with people. This makes Laken rather abrasive to people who take her too seriously.
- Does not compartmentalize well:
Laken often lets her feelings get the best of her. This frequently hinders her in many situations.
- Literal:
While this isn’t always a weakness, it does prove to be one most times for her. She has a horrid habit of taking things too literally, making her sense of humor seem dry when it really isn’t.
LIKES
- Philosophy:
Many theories and thoughts in this subject appeal to her. She finds it easier to listen to a philosophical view than one of a religious point.
- Music:
Anything that has a decent beat is something that Laken can learn to love. She enjoys heavy bass lines, lyrics that boarder on the extreme, and anything that you can feel the emotion of.
- Physical Activity:
Exercise is very important to her in moderation. She feels that by having a good level between exercise and relaxation one can reach a state of purity.
- Comics:
From obscure reads such as Sandman and Tank Girl to the revolutionary Spawn, these books can bring all kinds of joy to the girl. She has a massive collection of comics, two of each, in fact.
- Open Spaces:
Unless it comes to people that she knows very well, Laken tends to be rather closed off emotionally. Because of this, open spaces appeal to her because she can manage to get away without really doing so.
DISLIKES
- Overt annoyances:
She’s picky, that’s for sure. If anyone knows her, they’ll know what annoys her. Its people that ignore the fact that she’s easily annoyed that get on her nerves more than anything; however. Especially since in many cases she’s willing to get over the fact without a hitch.
- Hypocrites:
Being someone that lives firmly by the rule “Practice what you preach,” Laken will not be someone easily placated after finding that someone is going against their own advice.
- Laziness:
No one understands minor lethargy from time to time better than she, however for those people that are always wanting to get out of doing something just because it’s hard work, that just doesn’t go down well for Laken. She’ll frequently call people out on it when she sees it.- Immaturity :
This isn’t something that really needs to be touched on as it’s rather self-explanatory, but to give a bit of insight, if you’re Lakens’ age and you still act like a four year old, just keep your distance. It’s likely that she doesn’t want to have anything to do with you
- Chatter-boxes:
Laken enjoys her peace and quiet. It’s very rarely that she’s going to want to sit and listen to someone talk non-stop.
STRENGTHS
- Dominate:
This is something that she tries not to take too far in most cases. Laken has a dominate personality, and that’s that. It goes more along the lines that she’s a natural born leader and she would much rather look out for someone else than have someone else look out for her.
- Protective:
If you manage to make a positive connection with her, she’ll be with you till the end. She’ll always be there to defend a friend or someone who really seems to need defending.
- Goal Oriented:
Laken knows exactly what she wants in life and she has a detailed list of how she’s going to get there. She’s not the type to let anyone get in the way of her goals and she’s not afraid to tell you if you’re starting to.
WEAKNESSES
- Argumentative:
She’s the type of person that knows exactly what she thinks. She’s also the type of person that always thinks she’s right and is willing to fight to prove that point. She will not; however, argue about something that she’s not absolutely sure she’ll win in the long run.
- Mildly Vain:
Being well groomed is something that Laken thinks needs to be part of everyone’s daily regime. She won’t leave her room unless she’s certain that she looks her best under any circumstance. (Emergencies excluded.) This is something that she’ll often preach about to people she thinks look shabby or ill-kept, something that’s gotten her into quite a bit of trouble in the past.
- Quick Tempered:
With Laken, you get one chance. When you mess that up, not only will you be tossed to the side, but it’s likely that it’ll be in a more volatile manner than one would expect from a girl of her stature. She doesn’t take nonsense from anyone and will react accordingly.
FEARS
- The dark:
There’s really no profound reason behind this, it’s just something that Laken has always been afraid of and probably always will be.
- Guns:
Being raised in the manner that she was, Laken has seen what guns can do to other people and doesn’t want anything to do with them.
- Being alone:
While she sometimes likes to be left alone, Laken has a fear of being truly alone. More a fear of sensory deprivation than anything else.
BEST MEMORY When her father took her to that tattoo shop to get her piercing and tattoo done. It had taken a lot of convincing and a lot of promises had been made before he would even begin to allow her to make this step in what he called, ‘his baby girl growing up.’
WORST MEMORY Laken was eleven when she’d been staying the night at a friend’s house after getting in a fight with her mother. Around three in the morning, knocking at the door woke everyone up. At the door stood Laken’s father, doing something she’d never seen him do before. The man was crying. After retrieving his daughter he explained to her that her mother had been sick which is why she didn’t want Laken to leave and that she had passed earlier in the night.
LONG-TERM GOAL To surpass others around her. To become someone that is not only looked up to, but feared. And maybe to carry on her parents bloodline – it’s a rather prestigious calling after all, right?

HISTORY
It seems that sometimes you really don’t know what you’re getting yourself into until it’s way too late. Both Tonlea and Charles knew that they loved one another very much, they both had personalities that surmised the fire elementals as a whole, and they both enjoyed torturing people that they thought were beneath them. Now, getting married wouldn’t change their outlook on the world, but having a child? Well – let’s just say there were sides to Tonlea and Charles that no one had ever thought could possibly exist.
Compassion is something that can be taken too far, as can love. Tonlea and Charles didn’t just show their daughter Laken compassion and love, they spoiled the girl while trying to teach her about themselves without giving away too much. It was almost too much to bear thinking that their young girl might think of them differently if she knew what her parents had done in school but it seemed that the long run, their personality traits were more genetically assigned than anything else.
After the death of her mother, Laken’s father began to change. He was more withdrawn, more down to earth. It no longer seemed like the world revolved around him and instead, he tried to make Laken feel as if the world revolved around her. Laken; however, didn’t want the world to revolve around her – she merely wanted her mother back. In order to combat these feelings, she hardened herself to other people, forwent socializing and began to rebel.
Rebelling was easy enough for the girl. She wasn’t quite as cruel as her father or as conniving as her mother, but she had a generous mixture of the two built up in her DNA. At first it was simple stuff, the things that she knew her father probably wouldn’t argue with, change in style, change in hair color, and then the big one. She wanted a tattoo and a piercing. It took a lot of convincing and promises on her part, but it was something that she was able to get in the long run.
It wasn’t long after she had gotten the tattoo, Spiderman scaling her outter right thigh, that her father decided that he couldn’t rightly keep her around and let her push him around, he was aware that the new term at the academy started in a month and that she would be of age and be able to leave, but at this point in time, he really just needed some time to himself, so, he sent her to live with her Aunt Honi, a cruel woman that had idolized her brother before he became the ‘broken man he is today.’

SECRET WORD Correct.
RP SAMPLEThe climbing wall. Dear gods was it imposing. There had been many times that Ande had come here just to stare at the wall, watching other campers attempt to climb it. Some were victorious – others weren’t so lucky. Ande’s ego told her that she could easily conquer this challenge, her fear of heights told a completely different story, however. Today was the day she had in mind to defeat this lava flowing, wall closing behemoth. It would be a testament to her own dedication – at least that’s how she saw it. She’d decided to come out early, earlier than what most campers actually woke up. In her mind it was so that she could have some peace and quiet, in her heart, it was because she didn’t want to be caught looking like an idiot if anything went wrong up there.
She’d worn clothes that were less covering that what was probably smart for the wall, merely pair of shorts, a red tee that stated plainly “Swag,” and a pair of red hiking boots. This along with her signature rainbow jelly bracelets on her right wrist and her ‘Bacon=Life’ bracelet on her left. The way she saw it, the Apollo kids could always heal her skin, clothes were harder to come by. She approached the wall slowly, keeping her mind on breathing normally even though she was quite honestly scared out of her mind. Lava? No big deal. Possibly being squished by a wall? It would definitely leave a mark on the camp. Falling from a height and squishing on the ground? No thank you, buddy. She shook the thoughts from her head as she reached the wall, taking one last deep breath before looking up at it.
It sucked that she’d had to choose such a nice day. The sun was coming over the horizon with brilliant colors that couldn’t be achieved by any other than the Gods. She could already feel the warmth coming off of the sky and hitting her skin softly. It just seemed that maybe if she’d chosen a rainy day that things would be more fitting. It wouldn’t do to sit here and dwell on things that she had absolutely no control over; however. In the long run she needed to do what she’d came here to accomplish – or at least try to accomplish what she’d came here for.
With surprisingly steady hands she reached out and gripped a ‘u’ shaped rock. With the first step in the process taken, Ande was beginning to feel quite a bit more sure of herself. She began to slowly make her way toward the top. She’d only made it about a quarter of the way up when she first felt the wall begin to shift. Not long after that she had to make some quick decisions as the lava poured down at random intervals. She was doing good so far, nearly three quarters of the way up when she made a grave mistake. She looked down. With a quick lapse of judgment she gasped, pressing herself against the wall as a miniscule drip of lava fell down upon her arm.
It hurt, of course, but it was more the shock of it that made her let go of the wall, falling backwards she thought quickly, tucking herself so that upon impact she would be able to roll quickly instead of possibly crushing her spine or something else of the sort upon the ground. And roll she did, quickly and in a jumbled mess. As she sat up, her hair feel into her face as she let out a small huff of air, only one mildly vulgar expression coming from her lips, ”Shit.” She wasn’t sure how she was going to deny what had just happened – the poor girl could only hope that no one had seen.
