Ashley hovered nervously outside the club. She stood in such a place so she couldn't be seen by whoever was at the front door. She lit a cigarette with her own fire, surprised at how easily she did it, and took a deep breath. There was no reason she wouldn't be allowed in. The ID looked good enough and the push-up bra defiantly made her look older. Ash also figured if she went in with a smoke in her mouth it would help her appearance. Maybe I should wait until I have someone to go in with me she thought to herself. There are tons of other things I could do tonight like going and getting a tattoo. Her parents would not be happy to receive the information that within a week of joining the academy there precious little girl had marked up her body with ink. Not that it would be a pleasant conversation if she got caught sneaking into the club.
Ashley looked down at her fingernails that were now almost nonexistent. They were chipped and gross, the black polish was peeling off and her fingers were red in some places where she had bit the nail so short it had bled. It had been between two and three weeks since the last time Ashley had had some kind of drink. The plan had been to go in, get as much vodka into her system as possible then get out. She had also wanted some kind of tattoo or piercing but now she was too afraid to even go into the bar.
There were so many ways she could get caught. Her biggest fear being she hadn't seen the boy from the mess hall all night so he may be in there just waiting to rat her out. She was also afraid that something would happen while she was drunk. Getting into some sexual predicament or get hit by a car were things that came to mind. With so much to fear Ash turned around and headed away from the door. She would have to find another way to get a hold of booze.

Even in the cold weather, Altair dressed to show off everything she had to offer. Of course, pantyhose were involved, underneath her dress, and ankle-breaking heels donned her feet. Over her dress she wore a jacket, and she did not feel at all cold. Being a Fire elemental, her natural body temperature kept her comfortable at most times. It came in handy, since she loved to show skin. Have it, flaunt it. That’s what she’d always been taught, after all, and it’s something she’d abided by beyond her modelling career. She was beautiful, and she knew it, so why not show others just how beautiful she was? That's what had spurred her to go out drinking tonight. Okay, she didn't really need a reason to drink, she simply did it as if it was a part of her nature.
As she approached Corrosion, having walked from the apartment, her killer heels tapped against the pavement. Downtown wasn’t the best place to be dressed like this, but she was used to it. Hell, she’d smirk if any cars pulled up to her. Always dressed like a slut, she thought wryly. No, she was more fashionable than your average streetwalker, thank you very much. Roxanne got herself a nice manicure and white blond hair that was a halo ontop of her head. Of course, standing on street corners was a dead giveaway to the type of business she was in. Altair also didn’t hide it, because she wasn’t ashamed.
Coming to the door, she saw a familiar face and her smirk grew wider. ”Ashley, right?” she asked. Her demeanor was slightly relaxed, since she had a few beers at her apartment and wasn’t out looking for a fight. The girl was an ally, too, not that anyone out on the street or in the Hollow knew about that. No one other than the elementals knew about the Academy in the mountains. ”You trying to get in?” This amused the other Fire greatly, considering the fact she’d also be getting in illegally. It wasn’t hard to fake her age. Her looks and her talents in seducing helped her get a job she wouldn’t otherwise have, a fake ID that came with the price of a night spent with some sleaze ball. ”What if mommy and daddy find out?” She was busting the girl’s balls, of course. Altair couldn’t care less what happened to Ashley if she got into trouble. She wasn’t one to have others’ well-beings in mind.

Ashley let out a sigh of relief to see the girl who had shown her around the other day. Ash couldn’t help but notice Altair’s outfit. It was not only revealing but very grown up. She looked like someone who could be a model though Ash didn’t know for sure. The more Ash looked it almost seemed like Altair could have been on the street selling herself. Of course Ashley would never say that but Altair looked hot. Ashley’s outfit, though revealing was nothing like her friends. Ash, having self esteem issues hadn’t dressed to get attention, just to look older.
Ashley nodded confirming that her name was in fact Ashley. It was clear Altair had had a few drinks already, that lead to some questions like how she got the booze and the money for the booze as well as how she got it into the dorms. None of this she actually asked however not wanting to sound like a newb.
Ashley nodded at the girls next question. Although she hadn’t yet tried to get in she wanted to. ”Honestly I’m a little afraid to try getting in. I need the drink but how much shit would I be in if I got caught!” It was obvious Ash was on edge and Altair’s next comment didn’t help. She let out a soft laugh. ”I’m honestly more worried about what the academy would do to me. Ash started playing with her own hands. ” Hey would you mind coming in with me? It would make me feel a lot better having someone older come in with me. Once were in you can ditch. Please?

The older girl guessed she was lucky. She only had the popo to worry about. No parents, just herself. For all intents and purposes she was an adult. There was only one person she actualy worried about, thought of, and that was Rowena. Not that the Thunder elemental cared about what Altair did with her nights and weekends. Still, her sister didn’t think she’d appreciate a call from the drunk tank. So for Ro’s sake, Altair tried to avoid that as much as possible. She wasn’t much one for putting others before herself, but her sister was truly the best part of her. Other than that, you had to dig pretty deep to find the blond’s redeeming qualities, and even then one could only escavate a few jewels. Altair herself didn’t think that way—she was pretty BAMF in her opinion.
Altair snorted, tapping her clutch against her thigh. It was almost adorable, how nervous Ashley was. ”The Academy won’t give two shits what you do in the Hollow,” she said, her tone noticeably more hushed when she spoke of the place. It was as quiet as she ever got, what with how loud her voice tended to be. She liked to be heard when she spoke, because she always had something to say. Lifting a white-blond eyebrow when Ashley pleaded with her, the older girl shrugged. ”I’m going in anyway, whatever.” She looked over at the security. It wasn’t a high up place, but they still needed some big burly men. It was true, Altair was older than the other girl, but not legal yet. ”You have ID?” she questioned. It wouldn’t matter how old Altair looked if her companion did not have identification of her own. Scratching the back of her head, the girl said, ”I’m not gonna ditch, by the way. If you get yourself into a mess or anything, I got your back.” Altair could be loyal when she wanted, especially when it was her own element. She hoped that if Ashley got into trouble, it would be fighting trouble. She had a taste for violence.

Ashley doubted that the academy didn’t care if there students were up to illegal activities. She didn’t say anything not wanting to sound like an ass hole. Ash could tell Altair was almost amused with her fear of going in. This annoyed her to an extent. She was going into grade 10 and was far from a child. Fires are supposed to me vicious and feared not adorable and cute. At the same time the influence her father has on her liked coming off as light hearted. She has always hated how her mother treated her. Ash was relieved to hear Altair was going in with her. Having an older girl with her would help her get in. Or she would bring them both down. This thought scared Ashley. It hadn’t really occurred to her that she could get them both caught. A nervous look grew on her face but Ash tried to push it away. Ash dropped her smoke on the ground and put it out with the toe of her shoe. “Yeah I have an ID, and thanks. It’s nice to know someone has my back.” Ashley, who was now feeling more confident, was ready to go. She got out her ID and double checked that she had money. ”You ready?”

The older Fire girl snorted. Ashley amused her, she’d give her that. Not that it was really a challenge. If you caught her in a good mood, she could be chill. Good moods were rare, however, and were as ever-changing as the sea. Or rather, a wildfire burning down a forest. Either way, Altair wasn’t one to be trusted for too long when it came to being amiable. Altair smirked at the girl’s next words, asking if she was ready. ”Always.” She hooked her arm through Ashley’s, not one shy about physical contact because to her it was as casual as all the sex she had, and led her to the door. Security didn’t card even though he gave an apprasing glance, thank God, but the bartender definitely would.
Speaking of the bar, she pushed her way through the crowd dancing to the house music playing, made her way to the bar. Of course she was carded, and she flashed it. There wasn’t any suspicion and she got herself a beer, waited for Ashley to get something for herself. Her arm now out of the girl’s other one, she picked some lint off of her very pronounced cleavage before looking out at the dancefloor. She didn’t recognize any of them, the scene all of age, apparently. ”Any reason you wanted to drop by on what seems to be your first clubbing deal?” She figured the chick was a virgin to the scene, and she almost smirked when she wondered if she was a virgin in other things. She was going into the tenth grade, and Altair had been a little younger than her when she lost her virginity to some random guy she thought was hot. Unlike most, she didn’t regret it. The things was no big deal to her.

Altair seemed to be in a better mood then she had been the last time the two girls met. She was not as bitter, which Ash was happy about even when the girl linked arms with her. It was unexpected to say the least but not in a bad way. Ashley didn't mind, it made her a bit more comfortable when they walked up to the door. It was a relief when they weren't carded at the front door. Once they were past the door and into the club she let out a sigh of relief.
Ashley followed her friend through the crowd to the bar where she ordered a beer. She showed the ID and held her breath. The bar tender looked at Ashley longer then they had looked at Altair Shit I'm done, they know I'm underage Ashley thought, however she was handed her drink and let out another sigh of relief. Ash took a big sip and suddenly felt a lot calmer. A beer to start She thought to herself. Then I'll come back for something stronger later . Ash was so busy enjoying the alcohol
on her lips she barley even noticed the older girls question. Ash thought, it wasn't really her first time in a club, she had gone to see bands before but always with someone of age. "I don't know where else I could get a drink around here. It's been over a week since I've had anything" She stopped herself to take another sip. She knew she had a problem but it was far from out of control in her mind. She had an addictive personality, there was nothing wrong with that. "And it's not my first time coming to a place like this. I've been before. Ashley decided it would be in her best interest to not mention the circumstances of her first few experiences. She didn't want to come off as too inexperienced.

Altair got herself a black and tan, running her manicured fingernails around the rim when she listened to Ashley, eyes listless moving along the mass. ”People have parties all the time,” she told Ashley, feeling like a broken record since she’d already told the girl about this before. Parents go out of town, kids take over the house and have it in semi-decent shape again by the time of their return. Altair of course didn’t help with clean-ups—they were the ones who decided to have the party, they were the ones who should clean up after themselves. ”I’m sure there are plenty to crash. Maybe you haven’t been looking in the right places. Or—as I’ve said—you should talk to people. You don’t even need to be invited.” It was easier to crash a party than to get into Corrosion every night. There were the exceptions of BYOB parties, but there were certainly people who wouldn’t mind sharing their booze.
As she swallowed the drink, she felt the beginnings of a buzz. It wouldn’t be hard to get smashed on this, but she prided herself in holding her liquor well enough. Of course, she loved to push herself past the limit. What was the point of drinking otherwise? ”Have you?” Altair said, wondering if she could believe it. She didn’t know the girl well, so she decided that she wouldn’t be able to know. ”I guess you were with friends then, huh,” she said, since the girl had obviously been nervous about going in alone. Altair couldn’t sympathize—she wasn’t an easily sympathetic person and she never got nervous for anything. ”How long have you been living in Maple Hollow, anyway?” she asked. The girl may have been a native, she didn’t even know. It was obvious that Altair was an immigrant from her accent, but with some people—including Americans—it could be difficult to tell.

Ashley had "grown up" in a fairly small town where there were never a lot of people her own age. It also wasn't a very good neighborhood, the only parties that had ever gone down were twelfth grade plus. There was no way they would let some kid from elementary school or even a niner into one of there grown up parties. It hadn't really occurred to Ashley that people lived in the town below the castle. In the time that she had been at the academy she had only met a hand full of people, most of whom she didn't get along with. The other issue with finding parties to crash is you would need to know where said parties were. Since Ash had come to the academy right before winter break Altair was the only person she knew that would have any kind of information on this kind of thing. Other then her who else was there to ask? The boy she had gotten into the fight with in the mess hall? Ashley quickly finished her drink and went back for another. She decided on beer again, it was cheaper. The younger girl turned her attention to the older, the question caught her off guard. As hard as she had been trying it was clear Altair saw right through her. "Yes actually, once or twice. It may have been with family but it's not like I'm totally new to this kind of thing." Ash turned her attention back to the drink in front of her, not removing glare from its piss coloured liquid while she answered the girls next question "The day we first met was my first day in BC, aside from when my mother unit would drag me out here on business. As much as I hated it then, it seems prettier now. Probably cause' she isn't here" Ash let out a bit of a snort and finished the rest of her second beer in a final gulp. OOC:// When I reformatted my computer I lost word so I have no way to check my word count. I'm trying my best but if I go way under just let me know and I'll fix it Sorry I also have no grammer or spell check other then the spell check here... again sorry

Altair swirled her drink around, ice clinking against the glass. She was taking it slow, so as not to get completely shitfaced. Well, not too soon anyway. She liked getting drunk, she was just concerned about getting home. She knew what downtown was like, and didn’t want to be plastered trying to get home. It was almost amazing, with her profession, that she’d never been raped. Well, she did have a knife pulled on her and some guys liked to get violent, but she could handle herself. She wasn’t drunk when she worked, after all, and therefore she could defend herself quite well. Luckily enough, even in the downtown area, no one had given her too much trouble. She didn’t have a “pimp” even though people automatically assumed that every whore did. They didn’t realize that you could just work for yourself.
The older girl grunted in response to signal she heard, but in her head she was debating whether or not Ash was lying about the whole family thing. Then she thought about how she didn’t really care and took a swig of the drink, wrinkling her nose as it slid down her throat. With the further explanation, Altair snorted. ”Mother unit? Hate her that much?” She didn’t like her parents at all, but it was half-amusing to hear the girl refer to her mother like that. But Altair wasn’t about to question her about any mommy issues or the such. She almost laughed again—it must have been the buzz working its magic—when she considered the stripper steretypical daddy issues that she didn’t have. ”I guess it’s decent here.” She shrugged. She didn’t really have too firm a stance on whether she liked Canada or not. She was completely blasé about the issue. Altair blinked when she watched her companion swallow down her second beer. ”Tryin’ to get plastered or what?” It was only half-joking, though Altair didn’t care of the girl did end up shtifaced. Of course, it would suck for Ash considering that Altair didn’t like to take responsibility for others. She was a selfish person.

Ashley laughed when Altair commented on what she had just called her mother. She had never really said the words out loud before. "actually yes. selfish, workaholic bitch she is." Ash looked at her empty glass, a sigh escaped her lips. "at least we were pretty well off because of it." Not that she expected Altair to care about her home life, but it was her who asked. Ash dropped it for both there stakes and considered getting another drink. She was about to go for another, maybe a mixed drink when the older girl asked just how drunk she was planning on getting. Ashley shrugged. It hadn't really occurred to her what would happen if she got too messed up. It had been hard enough finding her way down to this club, her skill with directions was terrible. If she got drunk there would be no way in hell of getting home, She wasn't even going to bother asking Altair to baby sit her. She knew the answer would be no.
The music that had been playing in the background started picking up and Ashley started looking around. The alcohol had defiantly begun to take effect. "Wanna see if we can find some guys to buy us drinks? I'm feeling a little, adventurous. That and I don't have a job so any free booze I can get is nice." an almost evil smirk found it's way to her face. Ashley normally hated people, especially boys but with booze there is always that chance that she won't even remember. Those night were always the fun ones. Ashley planned on looking for trouble weather her friend was or not so she undid the top two buttons of her shirt to revile some of her chest. She knew she couldn't look as good as Altair but it would be fun trying.

Altair let out her signature barking laugh at the girls words. Apparently Ashley was well off, even though she didn’t very much act like a spoiled brat. Then again, she didn’t know the fellow Fire well. Altair behaved like a rich bitch, even though she was living in a downtown apartment with her sister. She spent her money wantonly, got whatever she desired, and so one might think that she had rich parents of her own. The truth was she grew up with suburban middle class parents in the UK, and came to America when Ro got into trouble with the law. Altair took it upon herself to become the sort of ‘mother’ figure that she believed her sisters needed, which was why it stung in so many ways when Syria died. Of course, she didn’t tell Ashley these things. For all the girl knew, she was just some random Fire student who enjoyed getting into fights.
She finally finished off her first drink when Ashley suggested they find some suckers to find to buy them drinks. Now, Altair wasn’t one to be dependent on others, but she didn’t mind using a couple of assholes to buy her way. She smirked when she saw the girl unbutton her shirt in preparation. ”How about them?” Altair suggested, pointing her finger out to three guys who were idling by a booth. They looked to be in their twenties, but they looked young enough that Altair could be mistaken. She left her empty glass on the bar and slid out of the chair, making her way over to the gents, stroking her hand down one of their arms as she stepped up close to him. ”Just when my girlfriend and I were thinking that only losers decide to come here, right?” She winked over at Ashley, her eyes glistening with mischief. The guys, beers in their hands, seemed interested and it take only a few compliments and a bit of flirting to rope them in. It wasn’t too hard to sway a man if you had looks and charisma, and the same worked for men in swaying women. Sex was a powerful thing, and something so primal could neer be denied.

Ashley was aware she didn't exactly look like she was the only child of a well known fashion designer, it's part of the reason she didn't ask what Altair had laughed at but that was because she choose not to. She had little interest in her mother's cloths or money unless the money was going toward drinks or smokes. She had always gotten along better with her father and despite being more like her mother, she learned quite a lot from her father and grew to respect him and what he did. He was the type of man who earned his own money and loved his work. It never mattered how much her mother made, her father insisted on keeping his low paying job and wearing his tacky sweaters. The other reason Ash didn't ask was the simple reason of who was laughing. She may not know the girl well but she seemed like that kind of person.
Ash looked over at they boys she had motioned to and nodded with a smile. This would be another thing Ash was new to, she had successfully gotten things out of older men before but standing beside the older girl she worried none of them would pay any attention to her. She also hoped that if she drank more that Altair would at least make sure she didn't go home with any of them. As far as She could remember, she hadn't gone all the way. Not that she expected to be baby sat but she hoped they could at least have each others back. Of course Ash wasn't smart enough to say this before heading over to the boys so all she could do was hope. Ashley met the girls wink with a smile that moved to the man closest to her. "Ya but it looks like we were wrong. It's a good thing we saw you guys, we were just gunna head out." Out of the three guys they were talking to the one furthest from Altair was the hottest in her opinion so she made her way towards him into a position where she could see everyone, especially her friend. Under normal circumstances, Ash may have been nervous but she was buzzed enough to be willing to just go with it. "So, what are you boys up to tonight?" She asked generally hoping to get a conversation going.

Altair noticed that her companion was a little buzzed, or at least she assumed by how the girl’s demeanor changed. She wondered how well Ash actually held her liquor, but didn’t ask. That’s what she was good at—not asking questions. Simply because she didn’t care. Instead of questioning Ashley about pointless things, she focused on the guys they targeted. While some girls may have opted for the simpering, good-girl flirt, Altair wasn’t about to turn down the sex appeal just to get what she wanted. Guys liked girls who could take control. Actually, guys liked any girl that would sleep with them. The guy Altair had pinned took a glance at his buddies, nodding and laughing, before turning back to the girls. ”I’m Tad,” he said, jutting his chin out at his companions. ”That’s Mark, and over there is Damen.” The guy furthest from Altair lifted his hand in greeting. ”You are?”
A smile slow smile found its way onto the older girls face when she said, ”I’m Altair, this is Ashley.” After greetings were exchanged, Damen answered Ash’s question. ”Just hanging,” he said, and the look in his eyes showed that he was interested in the new arrivals. ”Yeah, we party hard,” Mark said, lifting up his bottle and laughing, the others joining in. ”Looks like a fun time,” she said, slipping her hand around Tad’s waist, turning the charm on. It was something one wouldn’t expect Altair to be good at, but how else would she work? ”We wouldn’t mind joining you. The thing is…we’re dry as fuck. And broke.” She moved as if to walk away, knowing what she was doing, but Tad pulled her arm back as he laughed. ”All right, all right, I see what you’re getting at. How about I get you a beer?” Altair glanced over at Ashley, wondering how she was doing with her man. Maybe the guys were just nice, or maybe they were too drunk to realize that they were being hoodwinked by a couple of teenagers.

Ashley nodded and smiled acknowledging that she heard there names. "Sounds interesting" She said in response to the fact that they were hanging out. Ash laughed with the others after the party hard comment, she didn't doubt that they did but just hanging in a bar without any girls was hardly partying. Ash was surprised how Altair had just bluntly asked for drinks but it worked so she was glad. Ash nodded "sounds good." Ash met the older girls glance and tried to look confident. She pulled up a chair beside Damen and sat down. Ash noticed his hair was slightly longer then his friends and wasn't quite as strong but his eyes were dark, almost black and they seemed to draw her in. She tried to remember that she was the one playing him for booze, not the other way around. She wasn't entirely sure what to talk about, especially to the group so she turned to face him more and spoke directly to him. "So, do you boys live around here?" She asked looking right into his eyes. "What are boys like you doing out here all alone anyways?" Ash asked trying to infer that they were too hot not to already have girlfriends. weather that's what came across or not was another story.
Ash was starting to get a little more comfortable and in the next few minutes was practically sitting on his lap while she slowly sipped her beer. He had started going on about some sport all the boys played but after chugging around 4 beers with no food in her stomach, she could hardly even make herself pretend to care, but she was having fun. Ash looked over to see what Altair was up too on the other side of the table since her and Damen had broken off from the group a little bit. Ash ran her fingers through the boys longer hair keeping eye contact while she listened in on what was happening with the others.
