Whoever made the computer is, like, the greatest person alive...or dead. Bass thought this as he booted up his laptop in the library. Technically he was supposed to be studying for a math test tomorrow, but he can always do it later on tonight. And plus, he's entitled to having some fun, right?
Come to think of it, he's been working all day, and not once has he laid a finger on any of his electronics, cell phone included. That would probably be a record for the boy, which is sad.
So here he is, moving the cursor round and round, eagerly waiting for the start screen to pop up. Tapping on the table, it finally popped up and Bass immediately double clicked on the icon button on his desktop that blared 'WoW'.
He knew this game had 'Nerd' written all over it, but he didn't care. He enjoyed the thrill of killing monsters, going on quests, and most importantly, Player versus Player. Bass loved killing noobs online and taking all of their gold. Being a high ranked Night Elf like himself, it was easy for him to do so. Plugging in his ear phones and pushing them into the port, Bass sat back and smiled as he logged into his account.
>>> gah! it's slack i know. sorry!

I had just been one of those days, you know those ones where all your teachers seem to be out to get you and they all seem to give so much homework that you will be up all that night trying to get it all done before your next lesson. Aramina guessed that she would be needing either a lot of coffee or heaps of energy drinks to get through the next couple nights. The last thing that she wanted to think about was all of the homework that was sitting in her bag along with her small lime green Net book. As soon as she reached the library there was only one thing that was actually on her mind and that was one have addictive game, World of Warcraft. Quickly sitting down across the desk from a boy that looked around her age with brown hair and he was just looking down at his own laptop. 'What ever he is doing, it must be pretty fun, considering he didn't even know that I sat down next to him.' She thought to herself as she grabbed the Net Book from her bag, booted it up and began to run the game.
The last time that she had played she was int he middle of a raid with a random person online that she had been playing with recently. He was a good player and had the same hatred for noobs that just like going around and being well, noobs. After a couple weeks the tow had gotten used to going online that the became friends but never asked each other for their real names ect.
After logging on she saw that her friends was online as well, she decided to talk to him for awhile.

Sebastian noticed out of the corner of his eye a girl sit next to him, but he ignored her. He didn't know what to do anyway. If he said hi, she might think he's some sort of creeper. So the boy did the safe thing and just didn't say anything.
Bass was on his NightElf, killing mobs and whatnot, when one of his friends popped up. Smiling to himself, he typed a reply in the chat box:
Bass_Man: hey windy. sup? arent you supposed to be in class?
After hitting enter, Bass controlled to pawn the monsters. He happened to look to the side of him to see the girl transfixed on her screen as well. He wanted to ask her what she was doing, but he's too shy to do so. That's the difference between Bass_man and just plan Bass. Bass_man is invulnerable and awesome, while Bass is shy and, well, socially awkward.
If Bass couldn't ask directly, he'll just have to do it stealthily. Casually, he got up from his seat and walked towards the nearest bookcase that was near her way. He didn't look at her screen then, because it would be obvious that he's nosing around. He grabbed a random book, then walked back to their table. He then glanced at her screen and nearly dropped the book.
"You WoW too?" Bass said this a little too loud, which earned him a 'shush' from other people. Mumbling an apology, he sat down at his seat and in a more hushed tone, he said "So, what's your main?"

Aramina couldn't help but laugh to herself just a little bit. The way that Bass_Man knew what she was kinda supposed to be doing scared her a little but after awhile she just got used to it. As she heard the boy that was sitting in front of her she placed her hands back on the keyboard and typed her internet friend back.
WindAra: Maybe, maybe not. LOL! WindAra: Wait a second; aren't you supposed to be in class!
It was at this point that she once again laughed to herself in glee for the fact that she was the same. She knew what time zone he was in, so they kind of just knew stuff, if you know what I mean. After a couple of minutes of just spawn killing noobs with her new bow and arrow, considering the fact that she is a Hunter in the game, she was interrupted by a unfamiliar voice yelling from next to her. She turned around to see the boy that, a few minutes earlier, had been sitting in front of her.
"Is it really that weird that a girl plays WoW," she said as he sat back into his seat and looked like he wanted to know more, "I swear everyone that finds this out has the same reaction" After a couple seconds he continued and what he said was what made her stop. She had never really told anyone what her name online was, mainly because WindAra was a really cool person who was tough and could do anything that the boys could do, while Aramina was shy and was really weird, according to some people at least.
"Um, Level. 51 Hunter/Forsaken at the moment, though I would love to have her a couple levels higher. What about yours?"

She asked Sebastian if he were supposed to be in class, avoiding his question almost completely.
Bass_Man: hey, i asked you first. you so did not answer Bass_Man: depends on your definition of class...
Bass liked messing with windy. She was one of the few girls that understood him. That was rare indeed. He didn't really know how to talk to girls, in real life that is. Online, it was as if he was a totally different person. Online he was cool, suave, and not socially awkward. In real life, he's none of that.
Bass heard a small from his right and, glancing, the girl was smiling to herself. What is on that screen that's so funny? Probably something on YouTube or facebook; whatever it is girls do. Maybe she's fawning over some celeb boy or something. He hoped she didn't have Bieber-fever, because then he'll have to hurt her, and he didn't want that.
But, thankfully it wasn't that. She was on WoW and Bass found that more than acceptable. She asked him a question, which made him bark out a soft laughter. "Well, yeah it is. Not that many girls find MMORPG's entertaining. Or, can work the controls." He hope she didn't take it as an insult. He was actually really impressed, and a bit turned on by this. He found girls that game really attractive, and the girl before him wasn't all that bad looking.
Ah. Interesting. She was hardcore gamer. Bass couldn't help but smile. "Impressive. I was thinking you were like a noob or something. It's funny, I know a girl that the same level and main as you do. What are the odds?" What are the odds indeed, for Bass didn't know that he's talking to that same girl.
"Me? I'm a level 65 Warrior Nightelf. I'd be a lot higher if it wasn't for school and stuff..."

Aramina laughed a little to her self as she got the message from Bass_Man. Even though they went through this most of the time, when ever either of them was on during some sort of particular time. It would always end up in someone saying something to the other and the jokes you ever end if it was happening to herself. She thought to herself before she continued to type a message back, she knew that she had to make this one count.
WindAra: Haha. I guess are both in the same boat then. WindAra: Definition of class: sleeping jks.
She looked up to the she guy that was just talking to her just look around where she was sitting. It was great to have the attention but it was kinda weird at the same time. After a bit he seemed to have decided to make a little rebuttal to her previous comment and after listening to him she could tell what he was saying. 'But still,' Aramina thought to herself, 'It wasn't very often that you can find a girl that is actually good at gaming and not a total noob.' But what she found really interesting was the thing that he said next. There weren't to many people that she had seen that had the same level and main as herself. For a second she blocked out everything and just let her train of thought just flow, the weirdness of that was just mind blowing. As she heard him beginning to talk again she decided to bring that train to a stop and listen in. And what she heard just to weird for her not to say anything.
WindAra: You would never guess what just happened?!
After typing this she looked up the boy and just decided to, kind of, tell him what she was thinking. You know, the fact that he was also the same level and main as Bass_Man. This was to weird. "That interesting," She started before she thought about how she would tell him this information, "I guess we have something in common. I just happen to know someone with the same level and main as you."

Bass_Man: Apparently. lol Bass_Man: You know, that's my actual definition. It's actually in the dictionary called Bass-sters, Dictionary.
Now that he thought about what he typed, she could have taken that as the word 'Bastard.' He had to correct that, and fast.
Bass_Man: That so did not sound right....how about we forget the latest chat, eh?
Sebastian knew her humor. Knowing her, she wouldn't drop his mistake any time soon. He was the guild's goofball, always making jokes or screw-ups of the kind. He didn't mind the title, as long as noobs started to not take him seriously due to it. Then, he'd have to pawn them and KS (Kill Steal) them like crazy. It would be unfortunate for them, but not for Bass.
The girl seemed reluctant to talk to Bass. Oh great, now I've done it. I probably either freaked her out, or insulted her. Better apologize quickly... "Hey, I didn't mean to offend you in any way...I think girls that play MMORPG's are...cool." Hot. He thought that, but thank God he didn't say it out loud. Otherwise...he'd have to leave the library, and hope he'd never have to see the girl again. That's how badly embarrassed the boy would have been.
Just then Bass' WoW buddy pm-ed him back.
Bass_Man: What, you found out that you're carrying Loofa's child?
He laughed out loud at the comment. Loofa was their fellow guild buddy who's girl crazy. He flirts with have of the female guildies and asks them to bare his child. His answer was always the same: no.
Bass_Man: Hey, maybe you finally gave in and said yes to the guy...
If they were to meet in real life, he'd probably receive a swat on the head from her. Thankfully, the chances of meeting this girl were slim...
Or so he thought. When she stated that she knew someone with the same stats as him, he had to wonder...
"You're not...WindAra, are you?" He had to ask. It was a very slim chance of them ever meeting, so why not?

All Aramina could to was try not to laugh as this point. If there was one thing that she got out of this was the fact that he was trying to forget it. It wasn't very often that this even happened and when it did, there was one thing that Aramina always did, that would be never forgetting it.
WindAra: For now, I will, for now. You never know when that could come in handy. LOL XD
Considering is the third time that something like this had happened, she had just started to make a list so that one day she could just pay him out so much. She had talked to the actual person in front of her at the moment. She was so distracted by what Bass_Man had been saying that she had only just heard the last of what he had said. "At least you think that, not to many people actually think that, unfortunately." Aramina said as she look back to when her laptop beeped signalling a new message, while at the same time she could hear the boy in front of her laughing to himself. Looking down she could help but laugh herself. Loofa was a terrible player, when it came to girls that is, and he would never stop trying to hit on herself.
WindAra: You can't be serious. You really think that I would give into Loofa.
While saying this she really couldn't help but feel a little hurt, that he really thought that she would give in.
WindAra: I swear, if you ever say that again. I will hit you!
She could help but just fell a little mad but what she was about to hear would change everything. Hearing what the boy in front of her had said she began to wonder what was happening. Was she really sitting in front of, no way. "Yer, I am WindAra." As soon as she said that she realized what was said, "Bass_Man? Is that really you?"

Ugh. Sebastian knew this chick. She's the type to bring up things or embarrassing comments when you really don't want them to show up. Yes, she'll 'forget it' now, but when time permits...it's everywhere
Bass_Man: I should really learn to think before i type...
Ain't that the truth. One time he was texting something very personal to a friend, and sent it to the wrong person. Luckily for him, it was another friend. But that friend won't drop it either. It's times like these that he wants to create some sort of gadget to erase the memories of others.
Bass_Man: Luckily for u, ur miss perfect ;P
She knew Bass was teasing, and not to be taken seriously. In fact, the whole guild knew that. If they did, then it's a lack on their fault.
Bass nodded in agreement to the comment of the girl he was talking to. It was really a shame no one else thought that. Throughout his years of gaming, which was the majority of this young man's life, people didn't take female gamers seriously. At one point, he thought that too, until a female kicked his ass badly in the Street Fighter Arcade Game. That was the most embarrassing time of his life, and he never underestimated a girl that games again. He's learned his lesson indeed.
Bass snorted silently as he read Ara's comment.
Bass_Man: Well...he could be convincing at times...
He knew she would never give in to him. And plus, this is just an online game. Online pregnancies were low this time of year, and basically nonexistent. Half of the time Loofa was joking, so he shouldn't be taken seriously either. Bass had to smile at her next statement.
Bass_Man: hmmm. i'd like to see you try
Testing her was just as fun as killing mobs. He does this all the time, and she actually does hit him. It's so hilarious with him running away from her on his avatar and hers trying to chase him. He bought a mount just so that she could out run her, but then she caught onto his scheme, and bought one as well. Figures.
His eyes widened when the girl before him said that she was WindAra. "Are you serious?!" He said incredulously, he then nodded at her question. "Yeah, I'm Bass_Man. Wow, it's really neat meeting you here, so randomly like this." He was completely shocked and awed at her presence. Most gamer chicks he's seen weren't that pretty, but this girl is really attractive.

Aramina couldn't help but laugh to herself. Bass_Man always knew what to say when she was in a really bad mood or when she was just plan bored or really just when they were talking in general. He always had a new joke and always seemed to know what to say to make her laugh. looking down at his new message she just wondered what was going through his mind, calling her 'perfect'.
WindAra: Are you really sure about that? Wind Ara: 'Miss Perfect?' Seriously?
Of course she knew that he was joking around with her but it still bugged her that he always said this type of stuff, even if it was just for fun and stuff. Looking up to the boy that was sitting in front of her, she just wondered what was happening in his mind. As soon as she saw him nodding she just knew that he, at least, had some respect for a female gamer, unlike most guys out there. Looking back down to see what Bass_Man said and she could believe what he had said. The fact that he had even mention that she might give into Loofa made her feel unclean.
WindAra: You can't be serious! When has his 'words' ever worked on ANYONE!
She knew that he didn't mean it but it still made her really mad that he would even think that. At least knew in the back of her mind that Loofa wasn't to be taken seriously and she told ever other girl gamer that she knew the same thing.
WindAra: You wanna bet?
He knew that she would do it, considering that this had happened before, you know, her character hitting his on the head because of a stupid comment that he made about something. 'Wait a second,' Aramina thought to herself as soon as she heard what the boy in front of her had said, 'He really can't be Bass_Man, right?' Looking at him up and down to see what he actually looked like and to she if eh was even telling the truth.
Well, considering he just happens to have the same as Bass_Man she just looked up and smiled. Standing up and walking over toward him she smiled and said, "It is really cool finally meeting you but I think that I owe you something." Hitting him on the back of the head, and in real life, was something that she never thought she would be able to do. "Man, that felt good. The names Aramina, by the way."

Bass shook his head at the words on the screen. It appears that she's taking his words seriously, once again. He sighed. When will she learn?
Bass_Man: When am I ever serious?
Well, there was a time when someone hacked into his account. Then Bass was beyond pissed. His old character was above level 80 at the time, but now he had to start all over; regaining all of his money and equipment. But other than that, he was mostly the joker.
He thought for a moment that maybe people were growing tired of his joking around. Coming from the other person's point of view, he guessed that it could be annoying. But, that's him. How can he not be himself? If they didn't like his lack of seriousness, he'll try to tone it down, but overall this was Bass. And telling Bass not to be Bass is like telling a fish not to swim...or something like that.
Bass was laughing silently while typing his comment:
Bass_Man: Well, there was this one time where he almost had me... Bass_Man: Sure, why not?
Humoring her was fun. The girl spoke to him again, with a compliment. Smiling, Bass said "It's awesome meeting you too!" Puzzled, Bass was about to ask her what she owed him when she gave it to him hard on the head.
"Ouch! Woman..." His words were the same as they were online. "I will reap my revenge upon thee one day...and now that I know you actually exist, that day is near." He mimicked an evil laugh, which earned him another glare from the librarian. Whispering to her, he said. "But first, I must slay the old hag."
She told him her name, which made since. Ara is short for Aramina, which was a pretty name. "Mine's Sebastian. But please, for the love of all that is good, call me Bass." He made sure to pronounce his name as the instrument, not the fish.

Aramina was what you may call 'shell shocked'. She really hoped that he was joking when he had said that, well she knew that he was but still, it just seemed to gay to be true. 'No wonder he kept wanted to talk to Loofa when we were all online.' She thought to herself as she looked back down toward her keyboard wondering what she was going to say to the boy on the other end of the chat box.
WindAra: I know that you like to joke around but that is just to weird for me to even think about. WindAra: EWW! ;P
"What do you mean, 'actually exist'? Did you really think that I wasn't real?" Aramina asked the guy in front of her. She knew that it was weird that some guys thought that girls that played games where just guys playing as girls that wanted attention but this, this was just a little too much for the girl. Though she couldn't help but laugh a little when she had heard what he had to say about the really old school librarian.
As soon as he had introduced himself she finally realized what his screen name meant, Bass_Man, though now that she knew that his full name was 'Sabastian' she couldn't help but start playing the disney songs in her head and laugh. "Hello, Bass. I guess that is nice to meet you but I must ask if you don't call me by my first name also." She asked wondering if he would even do that, considering the fact that he like to just joke around when they were online. "Anything will be alright, just something other than Aramina, it is a long and annoying name."

It took Bass a moment to process what Ara meant, then he gasped, and typed furiously on the keyboard.
Bass_Man: Since we are near each other, we can talk verbally.
Turning towards the real Ara he gave her a look, then spoke. "You really think I'd fall for someone like him? I was just kidding. I don't roll that way...I like girls." He tried his best not to shriek, but he didn't want her to think that he was gay. He then turned toward his laptop to see his guild ask him if he and Loofa were together. Sighing, he turned and typed away.
Bass_Man: No, me and Loofa aren't a couple, nor will we ever be
He facepalmed himself and turned towards Ara. "Great. Now they'll think we're together. I should really take my time and think before I type..."
Trying not to smile, Bass replied to her comment. "Well, you never know...I thought for a moment you were a 45-year-old dude still living in his mom's basement." He hoped that wasn't true, but he's talked to many girls on here, to find out they were guys, which freaked the hell out of him.
He nodded at her request. "Sure thing. I think I shall call you..." He thought on the perfect name out her full name. Ara, meh. Mina...nope. Ah, I know now. "Minny! Yes, that is soo your name." He went to his backpack and took out a ruler. He stood up and placed the ruler on one of her shoulder's, then the other. "I dub thee, Minny!" He quickly sat down before the monster librarian noticed.
"Aramina is a pretty name. At least no one associates you with either a fish, or a Disney character...which is also a fish." A frowned a bit on that last statement.

Aramina laughed to herself when she read what Bass_Man had written her over the chat. She looked up at Bass and smile as she looked back down, toward her keyboard, and typed.
WindAra: And.. Your point is? ;P
All she could hear after writing that was bass trying to, now, explain himself to her and the funny thing was that she knew that he wouldn't go for Loofa and she did feel sorry for anyone that did fall into his 'trap'. Look back toward the real life Bass she couldn't help but laugh just a bit. "I know," She began, hoping that he might just get a laugh out of this later on, "I had a feeling that you didn't like him. It is just to funny to pay you out!" she finished laughing her lungs off, metaphorically. Hearing her laptop beep she looked back down to see that Bass_Man had sent a message out to there guild.
WindAra: Whatever you say man (:
"Of course they are," Aramina said toward Bass laughing a little under her breath, "Unless you can prove that you aren't gay to the guild, they are going to think that you like Loofa!" As much as she wanted to just pay out the boy sitting in front of her but at the same time she did just feel that little bit guilty, even though she wouldn't let him know that. What he said next on the other hand was something that really made her forget that feeling.
Sighing to herself she looked back over toward the boy that was sitting in front of her and she just wondered. 'If we hadn't meet like this, would he really still think that?' she thought to herself as she sigh once again. Thinking about it for a second she looked up and said what was on her mind. "If we did meet, you you eventually think that?"
What he did next really made her laugh, she didn't really have very many creative nicknames, other than Nell who either called her Mina or Shaggy when they were hanging out but she never been called 'Minny' before. That was defiantly something new for her, that was for sure. As soon as he, somehow, 'knighted' her, she watched him quickly sit down so that the librarian wouldn't tell him off for doing that. Before she was able to say something about her new nickname she quickly began to say that he thought her name was 'pretty'. Blushing just a little bit, she turned away by looking back down at her keyboard until he had finished talking. "That is true but I still think that Sebastian is a pretty cool name to have." She said trying to make him feel a little better about his name.

Giving a confused look on the screen, Bass began typing once again.
Bass_Man:...my point is that we can stop communicating with each other here... o.O
If she wanted to keep talking on here like this, then it was fine with him. He just thought it would be easier for both of them to just turn toward each other and talk. Well, maybe easy for her, that is. Bass had a problem with looking people in the eyes for some reason, so the chatting online took off that pressure.
"Ha ha ha. Good one." He said with a half smile. As long as she knew that he didn't like Loofa, or any other men for that matter, then she could tease him all she wants.
Bass_Man: Really! We are not a couple! Damn, where is that guy when you need 'em? He'd tell you all the truth.
Highly unlikely. If he knew Loofa, he'd mess around with Bass, accepting that they are together. It wouldn't last too long before he told the truth though, but he didn't want the guild to think that way of him.
Unless he proves that he is not gay...then how is he going to do that? He didn't have a girlfriend...nor did he think he could get one at the time. "How do you suppose I do that then? Hire a fake girlfriend? Or pay a prostitute to take a photo with me?" The latter idea didn't seem too bad, of an idea.
He thought for a moment on her question. Online, she didn't seem butch at all, and usually he could call out the ones that did, claiming them to be males. But for Ara, she didn't seem that way. She seemed...girly. So, he would have eventually dismissed the issue.
"Honestly, I don't think I would have thought that about you after a while. We had a little run-in in the guild with a dude masquerading as a female one time. So...yeah. And, I was joking earlier by the way. I didn't really think you were a dude." He could tell that he sort of hurt her feelings, and he felt like a douche for doing that.
"Thanks." He said with a half smile. He wondered what his parents were on when they named him. But it's nice to know that someone liked his name.
