It was a long week of school, and her professors have piled her with homework. She knew second year of being at the Academy's college was going to be tough, but what about the third year that's going to be coming by soon. Gabriella sighed as she found a seat next to a table and cracked open her books and started working on her homework. She had so much to do, how can she finish this before lunch time? Yes she can eat while studying, but the mess hall is quite far from the dorms. Gabriella was thinking about skipping lunch but her brother's and mother's voices started nagging her about not eating in the back of her head.
Gabriella told herself that she was going to eat when lunch time rolls around, and try to get as much work done before that time comes. The girl started off with brainstorming for the first English assigned for this year. She started writing what came into her head for the topic and stopped when she felt the list of ideas was long enough. After that she put it aside and put her Biology book in front of her.
It took a while to get all the notes she thought was necessary down. There was so much that she needed to know about the human body, and how the cells work. Sure in high school she learned most of this, but those subjects are more in depth than when she learned this in high school. After what seemed like hours Gabriella felt it was time to close the bio book and work on her Chemistry, which is going to take even longer.
Chemistry was never her strong suit, like math, but she knows she has to take it for her major. The girl took out her notebook and started working on balancing equations, and calculations to solving problems that she was assigned to do, and more. Gabriella looked at her watch to find that it was around eleven thirty. She's been up for almost four hours. The girl stopped writing and sat back on her chair. I've been studying for four hours straight? She asked herself as she decided to take a break. Yet, she had many other subjects to go through.
The girl sighed, and got up and started stretching, she didn't even notice that her joints were hurting that badly. The stretches helped with the kinks she felt in her back. The girl looked at her watch again. Then she started to see that the common room was still quite deserted. The girl furrowed her eyebrows wondering why no one was awake yet. Sure it was the weekend, but sleeping in until noon was not a good idea to Gabriella.
Just as she was about to continue working again, she heard some footsteps walking down the stairs. She wasn't sure if the person was walking down from the girls' or boys' dormitories.
