Since the two girls were bedridden, Altair wasn’t nearly as angry as she had been before. So when Gab shot back her retort, she merely smiled. ”Glad to be of service to you.” She wasn’t stupid enough to get up and try anything on Gab because she was just plain exhausted, but she was always up for being a general dick. And she also had the knowledge that Gab probably didn’t feel like starting anything now either. The two were hot messes, but verbal assault was something Altair was pro at no matter what. If she couldn’t physically fight which was her favorite thing to do, she’d do it through her words. Just because Gab had pretty much whooped her wouldn’t change that, especially because Altair never admitted defeat. She wouldn’t even admit that Dale had ever beat her in a fight.
She leaned back and continued her glaring at the ceiling as the nurse checked Gab, having the immature urge to mock Gab’s polite voice when she spoke. The girl actually managed to withhold the urge, and simply minded her own business. Though, she did feel pride in knowing that she’d injured the graduate. There was always a happy feeling for her in knowing that she’d gotten good blows in, no matter the turn-out of a fight. She was perfectly fine with hearing about their detentions, knowing that she could either sleep or catch up on work. Or skive off entirely. She didn’t like being kept in one place for too long without anything to do, it didn’t suit her at all. She’d much rather be doing something she enjoyed.
It was this train of thought that had her going against the nurse’s words as she moved her feet back over the bed, putting her shoes back on. ”Cunt trying to tell me what to do, this isn’t a bloody prison,” she muttered to herself, her voice like a sigh. No one could fucking control her, and she would prove it to the nurse whose name she had forgotten once again. She had better things to do than lay up in the medical wing. Sure, she was injured and she felt dizzy as she stood, but she could deal with that. ”Later, Seong,” she told the girl as she fixed her white blond hair. ”Unless you want to come with.” Her voice was a practical sneer. The girl was a goody two-shoes, probably dreaded the detentions she got. At least, that was the impression Altair had of her. And Altair was a judgmental person.

The girl turned her head and just glared at Altair for her response. She doesn't want to fight her right now, or ever again. It was stupid of her to do such a thing. Gabriella turned her head to look at the empty bed across from her. She didn't want to bother with her anymore. Just two more years and she will be out of here and doing her graduate studies outside of the academy. She felt relieved when she thought of this. Gabriella won't have to see Altair anymore. Gabriella has thought of leaving Canada for graduate school. So she will most likely not see Altair for many years to come.
Gabriella wasn't surprised by Altair's language, she always said those offensive words. But this is the first time that she used one that she didn't really know. How can a sixteen year old know, and she doesn't? Well one reason that she can think of is how her parents sheltered her and her brother. Her parents made an effort to make sure that whatever their children will be exposed to will be something that is appropriate for their age, and that they my never learn to use that kind of language. Gabi remembered her brother when he was in his rebellious phase. He used the offensive language that my parents worked so hard to shield them from.
"No thanks, you go right ahead," Gabriella said controlling her tongue so she won't say anything more to trigger anything that Altair can counter. But no matter what she said the fire elemental was able to have a sharp counter attack. She didn't care for the girl, so it didn't matter to her that she will probably faint once she starts feeling exhausted again. The nurse told Gabriella to stay in bed for a couple of hours, she didn't want to but she did not want to risk making her condition worse.
