A school dance in the middle of a war? How logical was that really? The alliances could act up during it, and Rosa would laugh. She was currently in her room getting ready to go to the dance. Why? So she could have some allowed fun. Of course, she picked fights and all of that, but she was not really allowed to do that. She had her mother send out a dress, and her mother did not hold back either. When she had opened the package a few weeks ago, inside she found a deep red dress with matching heels and a purse.
But not only did she get sent that, but her mother found the money to send a simple gold jewelry set. There was not enough jewelry to off set the outfit, nor was there not enough to give it a little something special. Rosa had never gone to the other dances or functions at the school before, so she figured she might as well go to the end of the year dance. It was only right, especially since she was going into the tenth grade now. She had finally gotten over the fact that her brother was not really talking to her anymore, but then, they did have the war going on.
Her brown hair was wavy with her bangs pulled around her head like a tiara. She loved how she could do that to her own hair just by looking in a mirror. She had applied a small amount of natural looking makeup and she focused on making sure her hair did not get messed up by putting the dress on. She let the deep red stain make its form on her body and she sat down on her bed to put her shoes on. Tonight was technically the last night for her to be at the Academy, then she was going to go into the town for the break.
On her way out of the room, she made sure that everything she was going to need was packed, and she grabbed her purse. She made one last look in the mirror before she closed the door and walked down the steps. She walked past a few Earthies and she ignored them completely. She was not going to let them ruin her good mood right now. She made sure that she walked down every step that came her way carefully.
Once she was outside of the dance, she stopped and looked around. There were a lot of people outside of the dance and she chuckled lightly. She walked into the dance then and walked over to an empty table. She sat down there as she looked for an opening to either mingle, or jump into a dance. She realized something though, she had mainly come because a guy asked her, but he was a no show. How did she know? His buddies were talking about it right now, at the table next to her. She sighed and got up then and started for the door, she was not going to stay in a dance where she gets ditched.
