Pyson rolled slowly over onto his stomach from his side, he'd fallen asleep facing his window and now that the light of a brand new day was streaming in through his pulled open curtains, he was doing his best to fight getting out of his very warm, very comfy bed. He picked up his pillow and put it over the back of his head, groaning as he did. So much had happened sense break. Apparently his old piano teacher from the boy's home he'd grown up in had been rather busy in the time that he'd left there, he'd been contacted by for orchestras that wanted him to come and play for them. Though one in Germany, they had tried the hardest, as a matter of fact they didn't even want him to finish school first. He'd been offered a very generous contract and even been given a car as incentive for him to tell them yes. He'd be lieing if he hadn't let the thought cross his mind, or that it still did from time to time. What would it be like to just walk away. One day he's just a regular kid-- well as regular as the kids here can be, the next he's on top of the world and adored by millions of fans. He groaned again against his bed as the thought made his head spin a little. Life sure had the tendency to pick up the pace when he didn't want it to, he had actually gone to a counciler recently to help him sort all this out, career and passion or powers, and he'd been successfully talked into putting his passion off until he graduated. Though as to not hurt the deal with the German orchestra he had agreed to play at least two concerts per break from school. Best part for Pyson is they let him keep the car.
Finally after about an hour or so Py decided it was time to roll his lazy self out of bed. The pretty boy very reluctantly slid out from under the covers, he was instantly hit with the shock of the cold temperature in his room. "Holy shit!" He yelped and grabbed the blanket he'd just come out from under and held it around him. It had been so very warm in his bed he completely forgot that it was smack in the beginning of winter. He turned around and glanced out his window, the light covering of powdery snow made him grin, he'd never seen it till he came here. As he turned back around his grin grew out into a full blown smile. Cold weather ment.. winter cloths! He hopped up out of his bed, literally hopped because the floor was cold, and made his way over to his large closet and opened the door, he was going to have to re-arrange-- but he'd do that later. Making his way to the back he grabbed his favorite long sleeve shirt, it was heavier then what he'd usually wear but light enough to be put under his blazer, a pair of distressed jeans and of course-- the blazer. Also from the back he pulled his favorite winter coat, a black leather jacket with white fur lining, a present from his mentor when he left the boys home. He laid the cloths out on his bed and strode into the bathroom, on his sink was a line of contact cases, one for each color he had and of course his small array of make-up. Carefully he painted on the eyeliner, his steady hands making perfect lines to the shape of his eyes, he'd keep the make-up simple today. Glancing down at the eye contact cases he used the ever exact method of enny-meeny-miney-mo to pick the color, his finer tips landing on the case holding the light blue ones, slowly he put each one in, blinking his eyes quickly to get them set. All he had left now was to slip into his cloths and start his day. Which would have been fine except for the fact that he realized a little too late that he didn't have classes today.. All dressed up with nowhere to go. "Well damn."
He flopped back down on his bed and glanced out his window, it was entirely too cold for him to go outside and enjoy the scenery, no classes and he didn't have the muse to play at the moment-- what to do. Then he spotted sitting ever so nicely in the parking lot outside his dorm, that beautiful Skyline. As odd a time as it was to want to go for a cruse, Pyson could think of nothing he'd like to do more at the moment. Picking himself up off the bed one more time, he grabbed the keys and zipped up his coat as he walked out of the room. He strode through the common area, small groups and couples were scattered about the large room-- it would appear he wasn't the only one who didn't have classes today. He made his way quietly to the big double doors and pulled one of them open, the loud creeeek shattered the silence of the room like glass, everyone looked up. Py offered a sheepish smile and slipped out the door. Someone really should oil the hinges on those things.. When he hit the main door and walked out into the cold he broke into a quick sprint, thankfully all the sidewalks had been cleared so he wasn't in danger of slipping and falling while trying to get to his car quicker. When the sleek grey machine was in sight he hit the button on the key fob that automatically started the car and unlocked the doors, so all he had to do when he got to it was slide in. He smiled and ran his hands along the steering wheel before setting the traction control to wet/sludge and shifting it down into reverse. He was going to get into so much trouble in this thing..
He crused down the winding roads that led away from the hidden castle and into the town of Maple Hollow. Personally Py had never spent much time here so he wasn't exactly sure what there was to do on a freezing cold day, but there was bound to be something. He passed through the suburbs, glancing up at all the fancy upper class houses, he wondered for a moment which one Josh lived in. Moments later he was brought out of his thoughts when he came into the main city, it was quaint-- not too small but not too big. The light turned red and he looked over to his right, the mall. Maybe he could go there? He shook his head once or twice, it was no fun to bum around the mall by yourself, not to mention he didn't need to be anywhere near clothing stores at the moment. He drove a little further, maybe he wasn't going to find anything to do here, maybe he should just got back and practice. But then, as he was going to make a u-turn he spotted it, a coffee shop. If there was one thing that Pyson adored, it was a good cappuccino or latte. He made a sharp right and pulled the Skyline into the parking lot, luckily he found a spot relatively close to the front door. He turned the car off, and much like he had at school, he dashed inside-- stopping just as he got inside the door to cup his hands over his mouth and breath warm air onto them. One thing he'd forgotten.. gloves. He finally stepped up to the counter where he was greeted by a very bubbly barista. "White mocha please." Normally he wouldn't go for something so sweet or unhealthy, but he felt like he should splurge today and in moments he had his drink. After paying the girl he turned to look around the room, people everywhere, he spotted a small table toward the back of the room almost in the corner. Moving through the crowded room carefully he sat down and took a sip of the warm sweet drink, followed closely by a content sigh. He noticed the sign on the window stating that the coffee shop had wifi, naturally. With his free hand he pulled his droid out of his pocket and began to look through the app store, to see if there was any new game he might download to pass the time.

[Josh lives lived in a mansion, if only Pyson knew, bahaha.]
As it so happened, Pyson was not the only one heading out for a drive about town that day. The warmth and familiarity of his car had seemed much more tempting than the chilly, snow-covered landscape had been that morning and so he left Nell's small apartment and crossed the parking lot. The white sports car stood out brilliantly against the rest of the mundane and less expensive vehicles in the lot--as this was not the most high-end of apartment buildings, most of their owners could not afford cars that cost several hundred thousand dollars. Thanks, Dad. The thought was bitter and it caused a twinge of pain in his gut but he did his best to push it aside, pressing a button and watching as the scissor doors opened automatically whilst he was still about ten feet from the car. His old Gallardo hadn't the luxury of the Lambo doors so he had a bit of fascination with the ones on the Aventador. Harper, he'd called her, after Nell had insisted that the vehicle needed a proper name.
The seats in the car were heated and so Joshua stripped off his tan jacket and lay it on the passenger side, loving how the warmth of the car relaxed him almost immediately. As a Fire elemental he naturally despised the cold and winter as well as almost everything that came with it. He was used to it after nineteen years living and growing up in the Hollow but that didn't mean he had to like it. Snow would have been nice if it didn't turn your fingers blue if you held it for too long. His father used to joke that the snow was often like a beautiful woman--pretty to look at, ugly in personality. He'd been joking, of course, but it still amused Joshua. Good memories with his father always caused that familiar ache but he'd been happening upon them a lot, lately. Maybe it was because it was so close to Christmas and there was only one year to date (the last, in fact) that he had not spent it with his family. His parents usually had a lavish Christmas party with the family and some of their friends, and--
Stop, he cautioned himself before he got too deep into his own thoughts. Shaking his head, he plugged his iPod into the port and turned on the sound system, keeping it low. He was not so obnoxious that he needed to go speeding down the streets with the music up as high as it could get. He spent most of his time in libraries or other quiet places so he tended to like a lower volume for most things--loud people easily irritated him, music was never blaring heavily in his ears, things like that. The Strokes were playing through the car and this helped cleanse his mind of all the negativity as he hummed along to his favourites and tapped his fingers on the wheel whenever he hit a red light. He didn't even mind the traffic quite so much when he was in this car and so when he hit a rough spot close to downtown he just pulled to a halt behind a light blue Ford Focus and thought about where he might let this drive take it. It had been a spontaneous decision to avoid the cold and honestly he could spend the entire day driving if he wanted to. He liked to drive down the road leaving Maple Hollow sometimes and watch the scenery flash past. Sometimes on quiet days he'd test the speed of his car by racing it down the lonely road.
Up ahead the lights flashed from orange to green and some of the traffic dissipated, turning corners or heading straight. Joshua decided to tail the Focus in order to get through the gap before the lights changed again and thus turned left toward the more commercial part of downtown that had restaurants and cafes rather than the buildings much like Nell's and the one where he had once lived. He drove past his old building a lot and each time it reminded him of the first time he'd had a falling out with his family. He supposed that this place was full of reminders due to the fact that he'd grown up here. The hospital was the worst. The Focus turned again but this time he did not follow, cruising straight toward a tempting sign he'd spotted up ahead. Timmies. He hadn't been thinking about the cafe and donut shop during his drive but now that his mind was on it he supposed that he could definitely go for a hot drink and something sweet. His sweet tooth was not something he often ignored and so soon he was pulling into the parking spaces and getting out of the car.
When standing in line Joshua noticed a familiar head of hair bent over a phone and his lips curved into an amused smirk. As the other boy had not noticed him, Joshua ordered a tea and a danish before heading over to the lone table and sitting down uninvited. He figured Pyson wouldn't mind, seeing as they knew one another from school and all. "What's up, Py?" he said smoothly, seeming to be in a pretty good mood. For he was, at least for now. Even though his drive that day had been speckled with spots of uncertainty and discomfort he had quickly moved past them. He didn't like to drag his mood down into depression, didn't like to let his emotions rule him. He'd always been a very stoic person, Josh had. "Any reason for being in Tim's? I'm not crashing on you and a friend, am I?" Gray eyes sparkled deviously as he put the emphasis on 'friend', clearly implying something. There was irony in both the fact that he'd asked out Nell in this very Tim Hortons (that crossed his mind briefly) and that he had no idea Pyson had a crush on him. Lord knows what he'd have done if he had. "If you're not meeting anyone I think I'll just have to intrude on your company instead."

Py had been so wrapped up in what he'd been reading on his phone he hadn't even noticed the boy who he'd often shared many a late night studying in the library with even walk into the cozy coffee shop. Which probably was for the best, to be completely truthful. Every time Py spotted Josh his olive skin would flush pale and then red with blush across his cheeks, it was unavoidable. He hated it too because he wasn't exactly sure where he stood with Josh, not to say that he didn't know weather or not Josh was straight -- that of all things was obvious. He was more confused about weather or not they were friends or just classmates. The tall, dark and handsome could be very difficult to read at times, well most of the time really..
It wasn't until he glanced out the window to check on his car when he saw the white lambo parked next to his skyline that he realized Josh was around. He felt that heat rush to his cheeks and before he got himself caught up thinking the boy might be in the shop he quickly told himself that that parking lot was shared between many stores and chances of him being in Tim's was slim to none. He took a shallow breath and turned his attention back to the artical he was reading, not even bothering to look around him to reassure himself. He probably should have.
He didn't even notice when Josh sat down directly infront of him, but when he heard his name spoke in a voice very familiar it literally made him jump. He fumbled with his phone for a moment, trying desperately to get the artical to close. Then that hot feeling rushed over his cheeks again, this time he couldn't make it stop. With his cheeks rosey red he looked up and glanced through his bangs, which hung messily in his face. "Oh.. H-hi Josh" He replied with a small smile, recomposing himself quickly. Josh had mentioned him meeting a .. friend, he laughed and offered a quick little grin himself, if Josh only knew. His own dark eyes sparkled out from behind his reading glasses and he shook his head slightly. "No I'm not meeting anyone, just out for a ride in my new car and felt like coffee." He purred, his voice thick from the dairy in the coffee and his slight asian accent. "So by all means, intrude away." He chuckled lightly again and took another rather large sip of his coffee, stuffed his phone into the inside pocket of his jacket, then glanced back up to Josh through that messy head of hair again. "What about you, what brings you out on such a dreary day?"
Soooo sorry Tay! I didn't even know you'd replied to this T__T Also sorry its short.. family ish rushing me ._.

Things would have definitely been more awkward between Joshua and Pyson if the Fire graduate had known that his friend had a crush on him. He'd never had a male friend openly admit a crush. Josh did not suffer from any sort of homophobia and wouldn't necessarily be freaked out by the thought but it would make him uncomfortable to think that whomever it was might look at him in a way similar to how Nell did rather than like all of his other friends. And that was the other factor in the situation--Nell. Not only was he straight, he had a girlfriend. Of course, Py probably didn't know that, either. Completely oblivious to the crush, Josh was confused as he saw his friend's face rush with colour. "What's up?" he asked with a mischievous grin, gesturing toward the phone. "Looking at something you shouldn't be?" He was only teasing, of course. Even if Pyson was scrolling through suspicious imagery or anything like that it wasn't like Josh to care. He was far from a prude and the fact that he could talk and joke about things as easily as he discussed the weather outside the windows was a clear indication. Sometimes his friends were uncomfortable with his occasional crude humour but he didn't mind so much. If they couldn't handle it that was their problem.
"New car?" Joshua repeated, sounding intrigued. He glanced instinctively out of the window and to the parking lot but realised that any one of the cars could have been Pyson's, save for the white Lamborghini that was in plain sight of their spot with the sun glancing off the paint. As this was a less refined part of town the nice cars really did stand out in the small lot. "Which one's yours?" He saw a few nice ones that he wouldn't have minded driving if he weren't rich and the proud owner of an Aventador. Sometimes he felt bad for Nell with her PT Cruiser but at least they'd been able to off-road it when they'd went hiking. He'd never take the risk in driving his sports car off the roads. If it was damaged in any way he knew he wouldn't be able to pay the costs of repairs. Once upon a time his parents would have been able to pay for him but now he only had his mother's income to rely on and it was for living expenses strictly--she didn't mind a night at a bar on occasion but she'd gotten pretty upset when he'd put a drain on her bank account just to piss off his father.
A shrug moved his shoulders as Pyson questioned him, answering honestly. He wasn't really sure why he'd went out today other than to escape the apartment and to give his Aventador a spin. "Same as you, I suppose," he replied. "What's the point of owning a nice car if you don't drive it?" He smiled a little in amusement. His old Gallardo was still in the garage back home--he wondered if his father would sell it for some extra cash. Not that they needed more money but it was still a Lambo and so it would net some sort of income if they wanted to get rid of his stuff. The idea of that threatened to choke him. He didn't like the idea of his room being cleared out and his stuff sold. He didn't like the idea of being replaced. Josh loved his baby sister but the idea of her taking on his role as the family heir made him a bit sick. True, in family tradition the eldest son was always the heir but what would happen if Donovan tried to change that? Shut up, he advised himself. "Heard about the war yet?" he asked, wondering if Pyson had picked a side.
