HELLO, HELLO REMEBER ME?• i'm everything you can't control. somewhere beyond the pain • THERE MUST BE A WAY TO BELIEVE WE CAN BREAK THROUGH
There weren't real words for how Harley had been feeling lately. Yeah, she was still broken up about Samson, but she knew she needed to get over him. So, she had decided to visit her grandmother for the weekend. So, that's where Harley was, just lounging around Charolette's house eating up all her food. The redhead flipped through what little cable the old woman had when she came in, and swatted at her feet. Harley looked up at Charolette with a 'can I help you look?', and was then returned with the mother stare. The girl sighed, and said, "Yes, grandmother? Have I done something wrong?" Charolette scoffed at the girl, and started to walk out of the room, and said, "Follow me young lady.
" Harley raised a brow, but shrugged at her. She got up, and followed at the old woman, and stopped when she was standing at the little room Harley occupied. " Harley, dear. I love you dearly, but you need to get out of my house. You have been giving my home a terrible damper. I declare you go out on the town," Charolette told her. Harley gave her a skeptical look. What, had the old bat gone crazy now? The redhead rolled her eyes, and said, " Are being serious with me right now?" Charolette nodded at Harley with a glitter in her eyes. Harley shook her head, and went into her room. Her grandmother had finally lost it. Was Harley going to have to put her in a home? The girl was horrifed at the thought of sending her grandmother to a place like that. I'm serious Harley. You need to go out, and get that rotten boy out of your mind. Obviously you aren't going to take my advice, and steal him back. So, now I'm telling you to go find a new one, and you get skeptical with me?" The girl looked at Charolette with the same skeptical look as she spoke. It wasn't that Harley didn't want to go out, but she had no one to go out with. Most people had jobs or other things to do. Harley sighed, and fell to her bed. " As much as I love the idea of going out there are a few problems. One, I have no one to hang out with. Two, I don't have an outfit," Harley held two fingers up at Charolette as if that would solve the problem. Charolette laughed, and began to snort laugh. Harley didn't think it was that funny, but whatever. Charolette tossed her a wad of cash, and told her to go buy herself an outfit, and to make some new friends. Harley wasn't allowed to be in her house if she was going to be all depressing, and damper Charolette's warm house hold. Harley rolled her eyes as the old woman walked out her room, but not before saying, " I saw that, missy." Seriously, how did she do that? Harley knew she was into all that voodoo crap, but that didn't mean...No, no. That was crazy. Harley sighed, and grabbed the money Charolette had thrown at her, then grabbed her wallet and shoved the money in there. She put on her converses, then headed into town. Obviously, Maple Hollow didn't have the greatest selection of clothing, but Harley was pretty sure that the mall would have something nice. She wasn't even sure if she wanted to go out like Charolette had suggested, but it did sound like a nice idea. To go out to the club, and just dance away her feelings and depression. It took about twenty minutes to get to the mall without a car. That's what she got for not investing in a car. Harley never really thought much about getting one since everything was in a walkable distance except for the Academy. Charolette insisted that she drive the girls to and fro. Harley thought it was really just a waste of gas, and money. If they had like a little wagon Harley and Kansas could easily get their things to the Academy, but Charolette said the terrain was too rough for that kind of thing. Harley supposed the old woman was right about that. The terrain could be rough. When Harley did make it to the mall, it was about 5:30pm, and there wasn't a whole lot of people there. She went into different shops till she found the perfect outfit. Two hours later, she was back a Charolette's with an outfit, and a desprate need of a shower. That desperate shower took twenty minutes, then Harley had to get ready. She dried her hair quickly, then straightened it. She applied little make up since her skin was so pale, and she didn't want to sweat it off. She finished up, then slipped on her outfit. She grabbed her leather jacket, then asked her grandmother to borrow the car. Charolette let her. She was at the club in no time, and was ready to dance her butt off. Harley smiled, and went to the dance floor, and started dancing with the first person she saw. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Boredom. Sheer boredom. It was a weekend night, and there was absolutely nothing to do. Normally, the socialite would find something to do with a friend, but most of them were busy doing whatever it was they did on weekends. Nell and Josh were out and about doing their own thing, Autumn seemed to be angry with him for reasons unknown to the Earthie, and any others were not even important enough to mention. Devin sighed, running a hand through his blonde hair as his thumbs actively moved around on the controller in his hands. It was Gears of War 3, one of the recent releases for the XBox 360, and Devin had to admit that it absorbed his soul somewhere along the way. The game was almost addicting. Just then, he heard a noise at his door. When he turned his head, he came face to face with his sister. She looked less than amused.
"Are you gonna sit there all night and play video games?" She queried with an irritated pitch to her voice. Devin rolled his eyes and looked back at the screen, eyes shifting from side to side as he attempted to keep up with the characters. Athena sighed and thunked her head against the door frame. Grunting, Devin paused the game and turned his full attention on her. "What do you want, Athena?" She smiled and rotated her finger in her hair like an innocent five year old; that normally signified that something was up, and Athena was going to up and ask her dear brother a favor. How joyous for him. "I was just wondering if you were gonna sit around the house all night like a bump on a log." Devin raised his eyebrow. "You serious? This is my house, just as much as it is yours."
Athena stomped her foot childishly, glaring at the blonde. "Come on DJ! Jackson is coming over tonight and--" She was cut off by a hand to her face; clearly Devin was not interested in her finishing that sentence. If anyone was going to screw his baby sister, or at least make out with her, he did not want to be around for it. As un-confrontational as he was, Devin was not going to watch some stranger put his hands on Athena. He sighed in resignation and turned off the console, sliding on his brown leather jacket and walking out of the room without so much as glance at his baby sister. "Fine. I'll be back later tonight. But when I come home, he better not be here, got me?" Before Athena could properly reply, Devin was already out the front door and down the sidewalk. What to do now? There was always the coffee shop, or just a simple wandering past the shops, but that was too ordinary.
As his mind drifted off, the list of places to visit quickly growing shorter, he heard a subtle bass vibrating in his ears. Ah ha, the club. Devin thought triumphantly, unaware that the idea was not entirely his alone. Had he not felt the thrumming of the music, there was no way the club would have cross his mind. No matter though, Devin picked up his pace and within ten minutes found himself in front of the club. The lights were bright and flashing, turning his somewhat pale skin into a rainbow of changing colors. He smirked as he showed the bouncer the ID and entered the building with the man calling after him to be out by midnight. He stood there for a moment, scanning the area for any familiars before taking a step into the fray. Bodies clashed against one another, the lights slowing their movements to a frame by frame.
Just as he was about to step on the dance floor, a familiar red head caught his eye. She was a fire elemental, but the chick was pretty easy to get along with and so far Devin had no qualms with the girl. Not to mention she was quite attractive, which he could definitely appreciate. The boy stepped to the side quickly and tapped her shoulder. "Hey cutie, you mind if I cut in?" Devin teased lightly. They were always bantering back and forth, their little flirtatious cuts a fun game. Maybe tonight would not turn out so boring after all?

HELLO, HELLO REMEBER ME?• i'm everything you can't control. somewhere beyond the pain • THERE MUST BE A WAY TO BELIEVE WE CAN BREAK THROUGH
The redhead hadn't expected to see anyone here that she knew. Then again, Harley hadn't come here for people she knew. She had come here to forget and just let lose. Harley was almost glad that her grandmother had suggested the idea for her to go out, though Harley wasn't too sure that Charolette wanted her granddaughter in a club, but Harley would have to be out by midnight anyways. It wasn't like she was going to be out all night. Not like if she had gone out with him, they probably would've gone to the park afterward. It was because of Samson that she knew went to that park anymore, knowing that there was a chance she would see him there. Harley didn't want to think about the first time they had kissed, but there it was. It had popped up like an unwanted guest, and just kept repeating and repeating.
This just made Harley wanted to dance hard against the bodies in the club. The redhead wasn't paying attention to who was dancing with her, it was just her in a world that would never exsist outside her mind. It seemed like everyone's face just blurred together, almost like there was something in her eyes. Harley shook the feeling away from her mind, she couldn't think about this right now. It was annoying that she was trying to have a good time, and it could be ruined by the simple thought of Samson. Seriously, she had to get over him. If she couldn't manage that one thing, how would she ever move on in life? The question was: Did she want to move on? Harley made a noise in the back of her throat at that, and decided she just wouldn't answer it. That seemed like the best choice for her.
Her thoughts were interupted when she heard the voice of a familiar boy. It wasn't the boy Harley was just thinking about, but a lovely boy nontheless. The Fire student opened her eyes to the blue iris' of Devin. She grinned at him, and said, "Well, if you think you can handle me, then sure.
" Ah, what could Harley say about Devin? He was cute, and a shameless flirt, and Harley loved it. He could the distraction was needing, and she would have no problem flirting with him. She had no one to tie her down now. The only strange thing about him was that he was Earth, other than that he was an all around good kid. Harley had never really been flirtatious with guys outside of Fire and Thunder, but she supposed it was time for a change, right? Right. When the next song came on, which happened to be one of Harley's favorite songs, she laced her arms around Devin's neck, and laughed. It was intersting for her to dance with someone other than Samson, but it was nice. It was different, and she kind of liked it. Harley leaned in close to Devin, closing the space between them, and asked in his ear, " What brings you out tonight?" [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Devin flashed the redhead a playful, devilish smirk; she was indeed a beautiful sight to behold, and with her equally playful rebuttals he was sure to enjoy hanging out with her. It took his mind off of the now severed relationship with Marianna--they did not officially break up, but after two to three days of sheer silence Devin took that as a hint that it was over. No matter though; he was an incessant flirt and was thoroughly enjoying it again. Luckily for him, Harley responded to it, and he liked it. It did not make the situation awkward--in fact, it made the situation better. "Oh, I think I can handle you just fine. The question is: can you handle me?" Devin lifted his chin a little bit as the girl wrapped her arms around his neck. He knew that Harley could handle him, but the playful banter was oh so fun and as long as she was responding Devin was going to continue tossing at her.
As a new song started, Devin allowed his hands to grip her waist. She laughed, and he could not help but grin and laugh in return. "Your laugh is incredibly contagious, you know that?" Devin complemented, eyes half closed as he looked at her. Although Marianna was haunting his thoughts, they were slowly fading into the sounds of the music and crushed between the hot bodies clashing with one another on the dance floor. The earth elemental tensed up his hands, squeezing her waist slightly as the music began to pick up.
In that instant, Devin felt a warm surge rush through his body as Harley's face approached his. Why would that bother him? They were just here to dance and have fun, right? It was all for fun. Their bantering was always playful and never sincere...at least, he assumed it was. When her face moved past his cheek and towards his ear, Devin relaxed. The music was growing ever louder and the only way they could communicate was close up...that was, unless they wanted to yell at one another, which Devin was not particularly fond of doing. Besides, he secretly preferred this way better. DJ felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand up as Harley's breath brushed past his ear, a very sultry smirk playing on his handsomely boyish features.
"I guess maybe hopes of finding a beautiful girl to dance with to distract me from the stresses of life..." Devin allowed his face to brush against hers as he spoke in her ear, voice loud enough for only Harley to hear. "And look at me, finding one. Stresses of life are now gone, so...now what do I do?" He shrugged it off as he pulled his head back slightly, allowing the music to take over as he danced close to her. A few bodies in the nearby perimeter brushed up against him, but that was of no concern to him--that came with the club scene. With a silent gesture, Devin nodded to her in attempts to ask her the same question, biting the inside of his lip a little. What was she doing out and about tonight? Not that he minded but...curiosity got the better of him.

HELLO, HELLO REMEBER ME?• i'm everything you can't control. somewhere beyond the pain • THERE MUST BE A WAY TO BELIEVE WE CAN BREAK THROUGH
In that moment, Harley couldn't help but have her breath taken away at Devin's devilish smirk. It was nothing close to Samson's, but he was making her forget the mute boy. Harley didn't really know what she had been missing out on when she started dating Samson; like actually hearing him talk. It was something Harley hadn't lingered on just because she knew that Samson didn't mind his muteness, and neither did Harley. Not really. Sure, it had been different, but Samson was unique in his own way and had his way of expressing his emotions. The redhead turned her attention back to the boy in front of her, and smirked. She cocked her head to the side, and gave him a sly look. "Oh, I think I can handle you,
" she whispered in his ear. Harley wasn't sure what was coming over her, but she just had the urge to flirt with Devin more than ever. She had flirted with him before, but she had never took him serious because she had been with Samson. The Fire student tried her best to not think about Samson, and compare Devin to him. She was determined to have a good time with him, and get her mind off the mute boy. " Your laugh is incredibly contagious, you know that?" Harley grinned at him, and felt herself relaxing in his hands. " I've been told, but I don't think I've been told by such an attractive guy before." Harley gave him an innocent look before she started laughing again. Though the two were having a good old time, Harley still had lingering thoughts. She couldn't help but think about Samson, and how she wished that it was him holding her. Granted she liked Devin, and thought he was extremely cute, but nothing would ever compare to Samson. Harley was slowly discovering that. It didn't mean she couldn't have a good time with Devin, right? When she had leaned into Devin, the redhead had felt him tense up? As curious as she was, Harley didn't think much of it. It was the only way he could really hear her, and her words. Everything between Harley and Devin was completely innocent. Right? To Harley it had always been playful flirting, and joking around. Now that she wasn't with Samson, could Harley be serious about flirting with Devin? Was she even ready for something like that? Though she wasn't sure she was ready for something like that, Harley enjoyed the reaction she got from the boy. It was exhilerating to know that she still had that kind of affect on guys. Really in the past months she had been dating Samson, Harley never paid attention to other guys. As exciting as giving a thrill to a guy was, Harley hadn't had the breath of another guy on her cheek since..jeez, she didn't even know. Of course there was always when she and Samson cuddled together, but he couldn't physically talk to her, and whisper sweet things to her. Despite her musings of Samson, Harley found herself closing her eyes slightly at the feel of Devin's cheek against hers, and the feel of his hot breath against her neck. Harley, against the half of her that struggled to keep Samson alive, smiled at his words. Really, what girl wouldn't smile at something like that? Harley bit her lip to try, and hide her grin. " Oh? You found a beautiful girl to dance with? Well, aren't you a lucky boy," her voice was husky, but not too much. Harley opened her green eyes to stare at him, and chuckled. " I don't know, what should you do?" Harley held a bit of a challenge in her eyes and voice. But, would Devin take such a challenge? Harley was unsure, but she would just have to wait and see. Harley had caught the nod he gave her, and thought about how to answer that. The green eyed girl bit her lip again, and thought about telling him the real reason or if she should just make one up. Harley decided on the truth; it seemed easier. " Same as you. Life was beginning to become too much, and I needed a night away from it all," she said in his ear. She smirked to herself before adding, " And look, I got sent the perfect dance partner. It's better than dancing on a complete stranger." [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

The music was loud and left a humming noise in one’s ear that lasted for quite a few hours after the party was well over. Due to the intensity of the beat, the only way to talk with your partner was to keep close proximity and mutter into one another’s ear; it was one of the reasons you only came to the club if you were lonely, bored, craving a one night stand, and above all single. Devin was practically single now thanks to Marianna, who used his kindness against him and manipulated his emotions beyond what he was willing to allow. It would have been harder to cope with had he not come to the club that night; not only that, but found himself a dance partner that also seemed eager to drown themselves in the music. The blonde could definitely appreciate that he found Harley—it gave him someone to talk to, and she was definitely an attractive girl to look at. Besides that, they were decent friends. They did not hang out on a regular basis due to the different elements, and of course the war was now at hand, but Devin could not help enjoying her company. It was a good break away from everything at the academy. She was the perfect flirt partner, too. Is it all just a game though…? He questioned to himself as he pulled Harley closer to him, smirking all the while.
“Hmm, are you sure about that?” Devin whispered in her ear, his hands now gripping her lower back. “I can be pretty hard to handle…” His voice dropped an octave as he spoke, his lips lingering over her jaw line for a moment or two before he pulled back to meet her eyes with his blue ones, a half smile evident on his features. What was happening to him? Surely this was just playful banter and nothing more…right? Devin knew that she had had problems with Samson, and that they were no longer together, and of course he and Marianna were broken up. Was this rebound, or was this real? He could not be entirely sure, but he was thoroughly enjoying getting back into the game. Marianna would not allow him to have many female friends for most of the time they had been dating—he had to keep his friendship with Nell and Harley and Autumn complete secrets. Now that she was gone, there was nothing holding him back. He could finally be himself again, and keep his friends.
His reflections were interrupted by her alluring voice, although he was not entirely sure if Harley meant her words or not; they were still appreciated none the less. It made him feel like he had something going for him, even if it was just his looks. Devin doubted his personality at times, and thus hearing complements on his physical being evened it out quite a bit. She laughed again; Devin tried to lure her closer, his body flush against hers. It would help them talk to one another, right? That was a good excuse. He smiled. “I’m flattered,” Devin replied, biting the inside of his lip slightly. “But you deserve more complements than I do. I mean…you’re funny, gorgeous, caring…any guy would be lucky to have you.” And coming from Devin, it was the truth. He was not the type of guy to tell you what you wanted to hear. If he felt it to be true, then it was to be said whether the other person believed it or not.
But, like Marianna, all of his thoughts began to slowly dissipate into the background as she talked to him, her husky voice sending chills down his spine. He had no idea what he was missing out on while dating Marianna—missing out on fun like this. Missing out on time with friends, and having fun without a care in the world. No regrets. Her breath was warm against his skin, and her sweet voice was…turning him on? Blinking away the feelings were damn near impossible as she pulled back and met his eyes again. He played it off and passed her a sensuous smile. “I’m the luckiest guy in the world.” Devin lifted his eyebrows a few times as he released a hand from behind her back and brushed the back of it against her face. “Hmm…well, I guess it all depends on what my very attractive dance partner thinks I should do.” He ran his tongue briefly over the inside of his lower lip as if in thought; it was almost unnoticeable if you weren’t paying attention. Devin could see the look in her eyes as she asked him—there was somewhat of a daring edge to her voice, as though asking for him to make the next move. Since Devin was not quite sure what it was that he should do (or what she wanted, if she was indeed involving herself) he decided to throw it right back at her and put the ball in her court. It was not in his nature to take the lead in those situations, especially when the two in question were supposed to be friends who flirted endlessly. Now, Devin was not so sure what was going on.
“Well, I’m glad we ran into one another then,” Devin placed his face against hers again as he responded. Complete stranger most certainly not, but was this all just innocent play? Devin felt the lines blurring as he breathed in, enjoying the close proximity. It was soothing. “Most definitely. Luckily you abandoned the stranger to dance with me…I might have been jealous if you said no.” Devin winked, still unsure of everything happening. Did he mean that? Would he have been jealous if Harley refused his offer to dance?...maybe, but maybe it would more have been a hit at his ego more than anything. If not that…then it was possible the jealousy would have run a little deeper.

HELLO, HELLO REMEBER ME?• i'm everything you can't control. somewhere beyond the pain • THERE MUST BE A WAY TO BELIEVE WE CAN BREAK THROUGH
The music in the club was a good way to drowned out everything in Harley’s mind, and just focus on the person in front of her. She supposed it helped that the guy in front of her was an attractive guy. He was definatly a great distraction what was happening in her life, and she couldn’t help but flirt with him. It was almost nature between the two, and quite frankly if Harley wasn’t so bent on Samson she would probably consider Devin as a compatible dating partner. Harley enjoyed the closeness of the two of them, and the fact that they needed to be so close to talk to one another. Harley was beginning to think that coming to the club tonight was one of the best choices of her life. As Charlotte would say, “It’s fate darling.” Harley shook her head at the thought of her grandmother, and the fact that it was the woman’s fault for Harley even being here. As the music beat on, and her thoughts drifted back to the guy in front of her, she couldn’t help but wonder where these random thoughts of being serious with him came from. She knew that she needed to move on from Samson, but honestly she didn’t think it would be Devin, the Earth kid. Though, when she did think about it, Josh was pretty happy with Nell, and she was an Earth kid. Harley was jerked away from the thoughts of her friends as Devin pulled her closer to him. Honestly, if they got any closer they’d be attached.
An involuntary shudder went through Harley as Devin whispered in her ear. Seriously, Harley was getting some pretty messed up signals in her head. Half of her was screaming to pounce on the chance, the other half screamed about her love for a boy who didn’t love her anymore. “Oh, I like a challenge.
Her arms tightened around him as his grip became apparent on her lower back. Trust, Harley could play the same game he was. She wouldn’t lie, when his voice dropped low, Harley couldn’t help but try to get closer to him. She couldn’t help but give the slightest smirk when his lips lingered by her jaw, and somewhere deep inside her, she wished that would have pressed into her jaw, but they didn’t. Harley was borderline believing that this was playful banter, but the other half, the more feminine side was saying that it was serious. It was hard to choose because it could go either way, it just depended on the other person. In all honesty, Harley wanted to make a move on him, but she was unsure of his status. She didn’t want to kiss him if he was…involved. A blush crept up to Harley’s cheeks as he laid the compliments on. She almost didn’t believe him because he was a guy, and it was almost hard to trust them. But his voice said he was telling the truth to her, and that was something to Harley. Obviously Samson had told her the same things, but he could never verbally say them to her. Not like Devin could, and it was nice to actually hear it said. “ You’re making me blush; I’m really not that great. You are an amazing guy.” Harley was being truthful with him. Devin was one of the best guys she knew, and she knew a lot from having more guy friends than girl friends. “ You are so sweet, and funny. It just amazes me,” she whispered. Just like he had done to her earlier, Harley left her lips linger at the edge of his jaw before pulling away from him with a sly smirk on her face. Harley kept the smirk on her face as she spoke to him, but when she looked at him in the eyes, she could see a spray of emotions pass through his eyes. It was true when they say the eyes were the window to the soul. Harley gave a shy smile, at least she wasn’t the only unsettled about these newfound feelings for her dance partner. Harley wasn’t sure if was because she wanted to get Samson out of her head or because she really did have feelings for the boy in front of her. Harley had a feeling it was a little of both. She had been so focused on dating Samson that she hadn’t realized the developing feelings for Devin. It made sense in her mind, but when Devin spoke to her again, every thought of Samson was erased from her mind. She half closed her eyes as he ran his hand against her cheek. There was so much temptation in his last few words. ”I guess it all depends on what my very attractive dance partner thinks I should do.” Well, Harley had a few ideas on what could happen. Harley had stopped focusing on his eyes, and lowered hers to his lips, and barely caught his tongue running over his lip. She smirked yet again, knowing that she wasn’t the only one thinking about it. “ I am too.” That was every ounce of honest Harley had in her. She doubted she would have had a good as time if Devin hadn’t shown up. Granted, her emotions were a bit scattered now, but that was okay. He was making her feel human for the first time in weeks. Harley gave him a sly smile, and whispered in his ear, “ I could never turn you down.” Her breath was hot against his cheek, but she couldn’t take much more of it. Within seconds, Harley found herself pressing her lips against his. All thoughts of Samson were gone. There wasn’t even comparing in her mind because she knew it would be different, and for the better too. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Devin was always the one passing out complements to his friends and acquaintances—it was something he strove to do to make others happy. To see others with a smile on their face put a smile on his own, and that was all that mattered to the friendly blonde. Tonight, however, his complements seemed to trail off in a different direction. They were meant to uplift Harley, but at the same time he noticed the response it elicited from her and…dare he say it…he liked it. Not because she smiled and the blush on her cheeks was quite apparent, but because Harley reciprocated his actions. Devin fought closing his eyes as she lingered her lips above his skin, unable to fully function for the few brief moments they were there. I wonder where this is going to go… The voice in the back of his head was telling him to make a move, to close the gap between them and clear their minds of the junk in their lives for a while. He did not deny that a brief image of them in his bed under the sheets; that would be kept to himself until he could be sure that was where it was going. All of the stress dealing with Marianna was eating away at his insides, making him feel like he was not worth anything to anyone. She cheated. It made Devin look like he was not good enough. Apparently, Harley thought he was, and that was enough for him right now. She really was a good person.
“I try to be…” Was all he could really say, eager to brush off the complement. It was not that he didn’t appreciate it, more the fact that he was not accustomed to them. Even though he had girls and plenty of sexual interaction, he had a feeling most of their complements were just to get him in bed. Harley’s words, however, seemed genuine and Devin was not quite sure how to respond properly. So, he turned it around to leave out any more argument. “Let’s just agree that we are both just absolutely amazing.” Devin chuckled and allowed the hand brushing her cheek to partially wrap around her neck, his thumb running over her jaw line affectionately. His eyes trailed from her eyes, to her nose, to her lips…his teeth bit the inside of his lip as he looked her once over, trying to figure out where to go from here. Would she want this? If it started, Devin was not quite sure that he could stop himself. He knew that this was not going to be a permanent thing; he and Harley were not exactly of the same alliance, and even if she chose his side it would be too dangerous and that was not a load of guilt and stress either of them needed. But when those words reached his ears, “I could never turn you down.” Devin had a feeling her mind was not straying too far from his own. Smirking, he felt his pulse quicken. Unfortunately Devin did not even have a chance to do what he wanted, because Harley decided to take action first. Her lips pressed against his, making his knees go weak. It felt…real. Instantly the blonde pushed back against her, deepening the kiss as his other hand gripped her waist to keep himself under control. Harley made him feel wanted. Special.
That quickly ended as he felt a tap on his shoulder; apparently people there were not so sensitive to seeing two people making out on the dance floor. Devin reluctantly pulled away and looked her over once with a sultry grin before looking behind him. The man who checked his I.D. earlier was standing over them, eyebrows raised. “It’s almost midnight. You two better get moving.” The club made enough money to kick out the younger crowd during the early hours of the night. Devin nodded and turned his attention back to the beautiful red head standing before him, his breathing still somewhat uneven. “Come on,” He spoke rather loud, taking her hand. Although Athena might be at home, she knew very well that the club did not allow minors in after midnight and so he would be home soon. Jackson should not be in that house when he got there or all hell would break loose. I’m such a hypocrite. Devin was bringing home a girl, and yet Athena was going to get in trouble for having her boyfriend over. Oh well. She was too young anyway. Soon he pushed the front door to his house open and peered around inside; all seemed really quiet.
“Hello?” Devin called out, peering into the kitchen. It was empty. Athena was not home either? Maybe she knew that having Jackson over too late would get her in trouble so she went over to his place. Mentally the boy shrugged and saw it as an opportunity to keep things from being awkward. Once he was sure the house was empty, Devin turned and looked at her with a very devilish smirk playing on his lips. “I think it’s still up to my dance partner what we should do.” This time he said ‘we’. His hands snaked around her waist, pulling her in and kissing her again. Although he took charge in kissing her, Devin wanted to let Harley take control. It would be interesting to have the girl lead for once. She makes me feel human. Like I actually matter. Even if for just one night… And that was the truth. They could both wash away their stress, their worries, their insecurities and just hold on to one another for a while. It felt good.
[Harley can power play a little bit and take him to the bedroom or wherever if you want. I don’t mind. :3]

HELLO, HELLO REMEBER ME?• i'm everything you can't control. somewhere beyond the pain • THERE MUST BE A WAY TO BELIEVE WE CAN BREAK THROUGH
This definatly wasn’t how Harley had seen her night going. She had seen it going as any other night, boring and nothing exciting happening to her. Well, she had been wrong by a lot. She had never expected Devin to show, and just rock her world like he was doing. She hadn’t expected herself to be so, so not herself. It was like the music had a hold over her or something. More like her hormones had a hold of her. Harley just couldn’t control herself when she was like this; she was like another person completely, and it kind of freaked her out for a moment. Not that she didn’t want Devin because she did, you best believe she did. She wouldn’t be the way she was being if she didn’t want him. Harley didn’t think there was a sane part left in her mind at that point. She could careless of what people thought about her at that point in time. Devin was able to erase all those worries she had about people hating her for choosing other than her element. She was able to forget about the little tramp who had taken her boyfriend from her. Harley just had to focus on Devin, and it was so easy. It was almost like he had some magical powers over, like a sorcerer.
It was almost comical all the compliments that were being thrown around to each other. It was like they were both playing the game, but didn’t want to make that first move because they weren’t sure of what would happen if they did. Sadly, if this were a game of who could hold out the longest, Harley would’ve lost. Devin wasn’t too far behind either. After she had kissed him, Devin had started kissing her back. She could feel his grip on her waist as he deepened the kiss. It was pure bliss, and so raw that it was hard to pull away from him. She hadn’t plan to, but she felt his lips pulling away from hers, and she opened her green eyes to see a the big man who I.D. her earlier standing behind Devin. Harley had managed to catch Devin’s smirk. ”It’s almost midnight. You two better get moving.” Harley frowned for a moment, but dropped it quickly as Devin grasped her hand and pulled her out of the club. Harley’s breath was still shaky from the kiss earlier, but she managed to even it out on the walk to where she assumed Devin’s house was.
It was quite easy to follow Devin; Harley wanted to finish what had been started. Harley just wanted a release from the world, and Devin was just that for her. She was unsure if it would go any further than hooking up because of the war, but Harley wasn’t even sure if she really wanted another relationship. Devin was a great guy and all, but he deserved a girl that wouldn’t get him seriously injured or killed because of her alliance. When they arrived at Devin’s, he began to call out to see if anyone was home. ”He must live with his family,” Harley thought to herself. Obviously. God, she could be such a blonde sometimes. While Devin searched to see if the house was empty, she looked around to see where he lived. It was interesting to say the least. It was a tad bit bigger than Charolette’s, but Harley wasn’t really comparing it. Her thoughts were interrupted by his voice, and devilish smirk. Before she could say anything, Devin pulled her in for a kiss, which she quickly wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer to her. She kissed him for a few more moments before pulling him by his shirt to a room she assumed to be his. She shrugged off her jacket, then moved towards him, and pulled off his jacket and shirt. Harley snaked one arm around his neck, and ran the other down his chest. "You sure you can handle this?
" She told him huskily. She nipped at the bottom ear before pressing a kiss into his jaw. Harley gave a little laugh in his ear, then pressed her lips to his again. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]
Devin was glad his sister kicked him out of the house. He was glad that he decided to follow the beat of the music and go into the club. But most of all, he was glad he ran into Harley. She washed away all of the thoughts clouding his mind, and put him into a state of complete ecstasy to keep them from coming back for at least the remainder of the night. Willingly the girl followed him back to his house, but honestly he did not expect the girl to take control as quickly as she had. Harley kissed him back for a few moments, Devin’s head spinning from the physical contact that he had been craving for a long while. It seemed that she needed it too, and he was more than willing to give her what she wanted. What she needed. That was all right by him. As soon as their lips parted, the fiery red head grabbed his shirt and pulled him into his room. Lucky for her my room is the closest one. It would have been awkward to wake up in Athena or Judith’s bed with a naked girl next to him. He couldn’t forgive himself, and he was sure Athena or Judith would not forgive him either. The musings quickly vanished as Harley stripped her jacket; his mind wandered to what was underneath, but kept his thoughts to himself as she approached him.
Within a few seconds, Harley helped relieve him of his jacket. He would not be needed that for the rest of the night; hell, he didn’t need it even on the way home. The cold was just a minor irritant compared to everything else running through his mind. Lifting his arms, the beautiful girl before him removed his shirt. His skin tensed up as her arm wrapped around his neck, but he could feel his skin tingle at her touch as her other hand ran down his chest. It felt good to be touched. There was no denying that. Smirking, the blonde removed her shirt and tossed it aside before lifting her up into his embrace, supporting her thighs with his forearms. Was he sure he could handle this? There was no way he would have tried if he knew he couldn’t, but somewhere in the back of his mind he wondered what the night might have been like had he not left the house? The distraction of the attractive red head in front of him would not be happening, for damn sure. He would have spent the entire night playing video games. This was so much better. It was worth the attempt. Devin leaned his head back slightly as Harley kissed him on the jaw, her voice husky and sultry. It was hard to contain himself any longer. “Hell yeah,” Devin whispered darkly as he allowed her lips to capture his again, heart racing and body feeling warm. After a few moments he shifted over to the bed and laid her down, his body looming over hers. He never broke the kiss in the move, and for some reason pulling away would have left him wanting more.
Even if things went back to normal, and they acted as though it never happened, that was fine by him. They both needed this. It was a release, an escape. No matter the outcome, Harley would always be his friend and nothing would ever change that. The only difference was the benefits would disappear. It had to, for both of their sakes. And it seemed that it was an unsaid decision between the both of them as Devin reluctantly pulled away from her, reached up near the side of his bed and turned off the overhead light with a devilish smirk on his features. The lamp on the bedside stand continued to emit a soft glow.
