Today has been a bad day, which is normal for Dannica's standards. But what made it really bad? It was the fact that the teacher called her up for class, knowing that Dani didn't know the answer. It was so embarrassing. The freshman didn't know the answer, so she just stuttered out something that was wrong, and the teacher asked her if she even passed the previous science course.
Dani felt the heat rush to her tan cheeks just thinking about that. Here she is now, in an abandoned classroom, enjoying the silence. She didn't know where else to go. Now that she has a roommate, privacy was limited, and she didn't want to know if Aramina was in there or not. She'd probably ask what the matter was, and she so didn't want to talk about.
Dani dabbed a piece of tissue at her wet eyes, then attempted to throw it in the trash adjacent to her. Miss. Of course she'd miss, why did she expect anything else? Her whole life was a miss, and it were times like these why she questioned her whole existence. Maybe the Great God in Heaven needed some to poke at and release all of his bent up anger on. It's whatever. Dani's running out of feelings to care. It could be a good thing, or a bad thing. In time, she'll find out which it is.
Getting tired of sitting, Dani slowly strode to one of the many windows in classroom. The window was foggy, so she grabbed some tissue and wiped away the smudge. It didn't work. She then realized it was her own vision messing up her view. She didn't make the link between what's happening now, and her whole outlook on life. She didn't care, all she wanted to feel was nothing at the moment.

as he made his way toward the empty classrooms, ben felt a sort of relief engulf his body. it was nice to be secluded, despite how much of a social butterfly he could be at times. it was always one out of three places, the wilderness, his room, or the empty classrooms that ben trusted the most for moments to do his expression. although there were rumours that fights were easy to start in the deserted hallways here, ben had failed to notice one yet. but then again, he had heard rumours about most of the places he felt safe and secluded. after all, the wilderness was apparently covered with animals that could harm you. either way, rumours were rumours to ben and until proven true, he went on with his business.
passing a few of the classrooms, ben listened carefully as he swore he could of heard someone crying. slowing his pace, he peered into the classrooms as he walked by, only to notice dannica in one of them, glancing out the window. he came in quietly, though, as he placed his bag on the ground, he made it loud enough so she knew another presence was in the room, walking towards her, though keeping a few feet between them, he glanced out a window before turning his attention to her. "hey dannica." he spoke warmly, though simply as an introduction type thing. he wanted to know why she had been crying more than just popping in to say hi.
"is everything alright?" he questioned after a moment of silence, concern in his voice. though dannica and ben were not the closest of friends, ben only really meeting her recently, there was a part of him that felt connected to her some why. he wanted to say it was a sibling feeling toward her, but never having a sibling, he could not be sure if those were the true feelings. either way, seeing her now, upset made ben upset. perhaps emotionally attached was the connection name. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,5,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=style,background-color: c0c0c0; border-radius: 10px;] miss dannica. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,5,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=style,background-color: c0c0c0; border-radius: 10px;] four six four. | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,5,true][atrb=style,background-color: c0c0c0; border-radius: 10px;] | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,5,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=style,background-color: c0c0c0; border-radius: 10px;] sorry for the wait. also, i assumed they knew each other already, is that ok? |

A few more used up tissues and hiccups later, Dani looked over at her wads of paper and sighed. She did not want to touch them, but knew it was her mess to clean up, and did it anyway. She dragged a barely filled trash can near her pile, then swiped them in there, well, most of them. The girl was then forced to pick up the stranded ones and throw them in there properly. She then moved back to her original spot to the window.
She pressed her forehead against the already smudged glass. It felt nice to her; the coolness against her hot skin. The window happened to show the image of the lake at its glory. Outside was actually beautiful, despite was Dani was feeling inside. She couldn't help but feel envy at the people down there enjoying the sun, playing with the water, and chatting among their friends. Lucky people...
'Speaking' of people, someone just happened to hear the girl, and come in the same classroom as her. Oh great, thought the girl as she fought to turn around to see who it was. Apparently, it was someone who knew her, and voice sounded familiar. Not bunging from her spot, she figured if she didn't move or reply, the person would go away. It was a mean thought, but she didn't want anyone to see her at this state.
But no such luck. The person happen to come in anyway and stand next to her. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw that it was Benjamin. She wasn't exactly close to the boy, she knew him well enough to feel comfortable with him around.
"Hey, Benjamin," said the girl through a cracked voice. Wow I sound terrible. She cleared her throat as she wiped the dried tears from her face to look as presentable as she could.
He had asked her if everything was alright, which caused the freshman to sigh and not say anything yet. What would her reply be? Should she say nothing was wrong and that she was just having one of those days? It wasn't a complete lie, and plus, she didn't like having other deal with the burden of worrying about her. She decided to be honest with the boy. He came out his way to ask about her; the least she should is answer him honestly.
With a trembled sigh, she answered him through a weak voice. "No, nothing is alright. I just...got my intelligence questioned is all." She meant to make it as not a big deal, but her tears and crying proved otherwise, and after the sentence she knew it wasn't a wise gesture.
