Just a little... just a little! she said to herself, reaching further across the surface of the water, holding with one hand to the foot-bridge stretching out in the lake, her body tilted forward and her lips pursed together as if to let everyone know she was being focused. Indeed, she had to save it!!! Save what, some might ask? Well, her shoe of course. The beach sandal floating but a two inches from her finger tips. she was gonna get that shoe even if it was the last thing she did. Yet, the further she reached, the more that sandal seemed to evade her.
Rather frustrated, the girl reached even further, her fingers moving as if to somehow maneuver the shoe to magically turn around and come to her. Yeah, she didn't know how to control the streams of air or the water, so at the point it was rather useless. She didn't have a feeling there was a lot of plant life under the water and she didn't feel like disturbing the plants only to get her shoe back.
With a sigh, the blue eyed brunette, dressed in a marine blue summer dress, pulled her hand back a little. Maybe she should just give the shoe a little time? Yeah, it'd come around eventually. Indeed, Blueberry believed that it would return to her sooner or later, or she'd go get a change of clothes so she could go after it. But... she'd try just one more time!!!
Raising her head again, she reached forward yet again and reached out her hand as far as she could. No use! She couldn't reach that extra two inches. Well, crud. She hung her head again, her brown, waist long hair falling over her shoulder and brushing against the surface of the water.
Well, I guess, I'll jus- she began a thought but then felt her other hand slip. Just a millisecond of balance and then - SPLASH!!! Yeah... At least she'd get her sandal when submerged in water?

This is great... Bass thought as he lounged against a tree on the far side of the lake. He loved the summer, and took full advantage of it by just relaxing outside in the sun. His PSP was sitting beside him on pause. Bass felt the need to take a break and actually commune with nature...sort of. He sighed and leaned further into the tree with his arms behind his head.
Luckily for him he snagged a shady spot that was popular among the students. How he got this spot he found quit humorous. He told the kids there already that someone had died in this very spot, and that got them to get out of there in a quicky. He laughed as soon as they weren't within earshot, and here he is now, taking advantage of the 'cursed burial place'.
Scanning the area like usual, he spotted a girl rather close to the water. A little too close to it. Apparently she's reaching for something....Bass squinted his eyes to see a flip flop on the water, which was what she was reaching for. He shook his head at her. This might not end well... he thought, then grabbed his hand-held to continue his game. Right before he pressed the start button, he heard a splashing noise. Looking up, he didn't see the girl in the same spot as before, but in the water. Alarmed, Bass got up and ran towards the girl to help her. He didn't know if she could swim or not, but he went towards her anyway.
While reaching the bank, he went in and picked up the girl and carried her towards shore. In moments like these, he felt Link rescuing Princess Zelda. He couldn't help but smirk at the thought, then he grew serious since this was a serious situation.
Setting her on the ground, he attempted to do CPR on her, but felt wrong to do. Why? Because she was in a dress, and it was plastered against her skin. That would have been awkward for the both of them. So instead, he shook her gently, asking her "Are you alright?"
