Still, it popped the balloon and with the final one out of the way, she received one of the giant, blue teddy bears hanging in the stall. The little kid next to her looked up with excitement, and as she promised before she had played the game, she handed it over and told him, "There ya go." He thanked her and wandered back over to a woman who Nell assumed to be his mother. If she thought any harder into it, she would have been envious of the families she saw, the fathers carrying their children on their shoulders especially now, but she didn't let thoughts of a loss childhood plagued her. Instead, she decided to win games for the kids that she would give anything for. Children really were a soft spot for her, but then again, a lot of things were. She was just a big softie.
Her next stop was a food stand to spend some more of her father's money. One of her favorite things about the fair was probably the food. Actually, it was very difficult to narrow it down, and she was pretty convinced that she loved everything equally but differently. Food held a special place in her heart, though. Which is why she allowed herself some indulgence. Fairs didn't usually cater to the healthy minded, and so she chowed down on food like poutine and funnel cake. She didn't regret it either, refused to regret anything to do with food. She was simply enjoying herself this summer and not thinking of consequences or anything like that. Which is why she had her phone turned off, in case her father called. But that also meant she couldn't contact any friends. It was more than likely that she'd run into some of hers, though. A lot of the kids from the Academy came here. She knew that Ashton was working here, but she had yet to see him.
So she decided to do a little wandering, balloon wrapped around her wrist like she was a child as she got powdered sugar all over her fingers from the funnel cake. She would be finished soon, and so she looked around for some rides she could go on. Deciding that it'd be best to wait until she'd digested her food before going on anything crazy. Throwing out the plate, she passed by a stand that was actually selling fruit. She bought some apples and looked around for a spot to go to. The day was nice and warm so there were a lot of people out and about, which made her smile. Deciding to find shade under a tree, she untied the balloon from around her wrist and tied it back around a branch. Then, she took the apples and started to juggle. It was a skill she had taught herself through her bar tricks. The two were in the same vein, so so it hadn't been too difficult to connect the two, but it took quite a bit coordination to master. And she wasn't even sure she'd mastered it yet.
Nell wondered if she should be wearing clown make-up or something instead of shorts and her tank. She wasn't really looking to attract a crowd, but she would like to entertain the kiddies. She actually liked learning things like juggling because they were talents, something she thought she didn't have many of. She really didn't have any real world skills, because she didn't have much real world experience. So it was nice to have things like her powers to reassure her that she wasn't completely worthless.- - -
