Ace smiled to himself, he was wearing a sweater he had instead of the leather jacket he always wore, it was getting warmer out and the thing needed a rest before it broke from over use. In his pocket was a few hundered dollars he had been saving up, he was out in the mall to spend most or all of it on stuff. And by stuff he meant maybe a few video games or some new clothes. Right now though he thought he needed some new clothes. Recently his clothes kept getting burnt or fried by thunder and fire kids. Damn the war it cost him a lot of money. Right now he was wearing a pair of jeans that had a small burn on the front right shin area. That was from kicking a fire kid who blocked with a fiery fist. He sighed to himself lost in his own thoughts
At the moment his thoughts were inhabited by small fantasies of kissing Elaine again. Except this time she kissed back a little more and he wasn’t tipsy. He smiled as he thought back to the party they were at. Damn next time he kissed her it would be in that room he brought her to last time. It seemed a bit more romantic and stuff. He couldn’t believe he actually did it though, it was more or less instinct or drive that had taken him over. Usually he was the one under control when he went in for that lean but something else did it for him. He sighed, if only she wasn’t so perfect that wouldn’t have happened. He rolled his eyes at himself, recently he’d been a little more mushy gushy than usual and sometimes it really did bother him. He thought he was in some sort of chic flick at times.
Ace was so lost in his thoughts that he hadn’t known to watch where he was going. He turned the corner and walked into someone. He wasn’t paying attention and thus didn’t have enough time to regain his balance and landed on his bum. “Ah sorry I didn’t see you there.” He said apologetically. Ace got up and offered them a hand to help get them up.

It was a good day for shopping. Natt didn’t know about the rest, but she really didn’t feel like spending the whole day at the academy. It was terrible. People whining in every corner. This did that, that did this. Honestly, she knew there was a war going and a part of her was rooting for her side, but enough was enough. When were those kids going to see, this didn’t really help anyone? Well, if they had realized, it certainly wasn’t showing in their actions. Then again, what were they supposed to do, just stop any violent activity there was? Now, that would be impossible. So much had already been done, it would be hard to stop, she figured. Ah well, at the moment she was shopping. Besides, no one thought the girl even had a heart back at the Academy. Well, except Lissa, perhaps. Yet that girl was something, alright. It had seemed to Natt that Lissa was more like… floating around than facing reality. Perhaps she just hadn’t noticed. Either way, that girl was, indeed, interesting.
Holding five bags in each hand and a pair of newly acquired sunglasses on her nose, the girl walked down one of the halls, glancing into shops as she passed them. When the brunette got to the corner, she turned back, making sure she really didn’t miss a good store or anything. And that’s when it happened. Some thing shoved her. No really, it felt like a car backed into her. The girl was air-borne for a slight second before hitting the ground. Her sunglasses slid across the floor and her bags rained down after she had taken the fall.
Well, to be honest, she was pissed. Indeed. Well, it felt like she was alright. And really, as polite as it might have been, that apology didn’t really make her feel better. Just look at that guy. He seemed like the nice type and all. Then again, Natalya wasn’t one to judge people by looks. She judged them by looks only as far as sympathies went. The rest was… well, she would have to spend time with them to actually know.
At least, he helped her up. Deciding to take his hand, the girl got herself up. Only when she stood straight did she realize the disaster. It was broken! Her heel was broken! And those sunglasses were probably scratched now… Well, this wouldn’t do.
”Well, you might be sorry, but these shoes and those glasses cost me eight hundred. I don’t suppose that amount will just fall from the sky at me.” she gave out with a light frown, her gray eyes glancing over her offender.

Ace saw the bags and their contents fly across the floor. Honestly he didn’t understand why girls liked t o shop so much and then lug everything back home when most likely they would wear the items once and then never again. Him he wore everything he had until it became too ragged to wear out, then he used them as shirts to wear to sleep as they had become soft with the common usage. Plus he didn’t really like to go out shopping for clothes really. It was pretty boring unless he saw something he liked. Usually a interestingly designed hoodie or glasses or a nice pair of headphones.
He hadn’t seen this girl around before but something in the back of his mind nagged at him, as if he had seen her somewhere. He dismissed it as a coincidence to someone else. He didn’t really know this girl, she was rather pretty and if this was any other day Ace would be hitting on her, maybe. But alas it was not just another day it was another day of being in love with a certain blind earth girl. A girl he was madly in love with and would protect her with his life. Like he said to her before he was her knight in shining armor and she could always count on him.
Once she had stood up Ace went around and picked up her bags for her, grabbing t he sunglasses also. He had them picked up and in his hands in under a minute. “Ah here you dropped these.” He said sheepishly at her holding out the bags and then he realized that her shoe was broken as she was standing sorta lopsided Great Ace just great, he was about to offer to pay her back when she spoke.
Shit Ace moaned internally, eight hundred dollars? Who buys glasses and shoes worth eight hundred dollars? Apparently she did, but how the hell was he supposed to repay her? He only had four hundred on him and another hundred back in his car. Fine he would have to turn up the charm. Sure he was in love but that didn’t mean he couldn’t try and get out of trouble with his charm now could he?
“Oh I’m really sorry.” He said to the girl looking into her eyes. “But you have amazing eyes and glasses would only hide them away.” He said with a soft smile. “How bout I buy you lunch to help with my little debt here huh?” He with a charming smile.

Well, at least he had the decency to pick up the bags. Perhaps, he really was a 'nice' person. Hey, you could never really be sure, you know. The girl only watched as he collected her things before giving a hint of a pleasant smile as he handed them to her. The brunette glanced over the sunglasses she was holding in her hand. Indeed, there was a scratch. Well, it might not be seen in eighty percent of time but that fifth of a hundred still wouldn't do. She only sighed and slipped the glasses in one of the bags she was holding with her other hand. She couldn't really wear them anymore or anything. If someone saw her, they might think she got broke or had a hobby of wearing sunglasses she found in a dumpster. Well, she had bought three more pairs but she didn't really wish to pull them out, in case the guy decides to be clumsy again. And she didn't toss out the now ruined pair. Why? Well, she could just push it on some girl in school and gain another girl with sympathies toward her. It was always good to be known as the 'giving' girl. Her reputation would probably raise in a better way because of that.
The girl listened to his words and couldn't help but raise a brow. Honestly? Was he trying to hit on her so that she'd just forget about the dept? To be honest, eight hundred wasn't really that much. It was just a pair of shoes and glasses. Seriously. Yet, she would use the guy to her advantage - yes. "I'm charmed... but fine. Lunch works." she replied in a calm tone. Yet, she had to do something about that shoe. The girl shifted the bags between hands until she found the ones with a pair of heels she had gotten. Those were red. Good, she had red lipstick on and the rest was more or less black and white. This could really work. Holding out the rest of the bags, she fully expected the guy to hold them for her. "Here." it was a calmly said word yet somehow, you got the feeling you weren't supposed to disobey for the sake of human kind.
She pulled out the other pair of shoes and switched one by one. I mean, no way she would actually set her feet on that floor without a shoe. She didn't care if she had just fallen or not. She was not about to act a hobo and walk around without shoes. The broken pair she threw in the bag and walked over to the nearest trash can to discard of it. "Well, then. Let's get going. I still need a pair of new black heels." she gave out over her shoulder, before beginning to walk or rather... glide in a sophisticated manner like she always did.

He watched her as she put her glasses in the bag. Well there wasn't really a big scratch and it wasn't that noticeable. I mean if it was him he would have still wore them. Well this girl did buy eight hundred dollars worth in a pair of shoes and glasses. So maybe she just seemed to be the rich girl. She didn't seem like the type to wear stuff from Sally Ann. Then again he didn't like to wear those donated clothes unless something caught his eye. And he didn't really give his clothes away he just handed them down to his cousins or donated them to charity. That's what he would usually do.
Ace smiled as she agreed to his little, date. Ace watched her pull out another pair of heels, these were red but didn't seem that much different to the other ones, other than that these were, well red. Ace gave a mental shrug and took hold of the bags she offered him. Sure why not, for one day he could be this girls personal servant. Well why not, he did just break eight hundred dollars worth of her stuff. So he held onto the bags not complaining, just silently holding them at his sides. He didn't mind this, he was getting pretty lonely walking around by himself. And he just happened to have this girl as company. Well any company was better than none at all.
Ace held out a hand to support her as she switched shoes, just so she didn't fall again. He was going all charming today, why not? He was sorta screwed over for money, so why not try and get her to lower the price with the help of his charisma. It could work couldn't it? Unless of course this chick already had a boyfriend, and he was just screwing himself worse. "Sure Princess, where to?" He said holding onto the bags. He nicknamed the girl Princess, well because she acted like one. Rich and rather aloof to Ace. So he thought that the name Princess fit the girl rather well
(sorry it's rather short)

Oh? He complied easily enough. Well, this was good. She was a little tired of lugging around bags, anyway. She actually found herself taking his hand while switching shoes, even. She didn't usually run around shaking every hand there was. I mean, really, she had no idea what the people had been touching. She wasn't a gramophone, she just didn't like the idea about grabbing into something sticky. She wasn't afraid of anything that might feel gross but she'd be better without it. Then again... even if this guy looked like he had lived in the desert for a week in those clothes, he still didn't seem like the slob type. Perhaps he just had bad taste or preferred worn down clothing. Hey, the world was full of different people. As far as she knew, somewhere, people might see it normal for everyone to wear hand-me-down clothing. She didn't understand it but assumed that such a cult exists. I mean, just look at the people in the reality shows, right? Or those shows where they go to rebuild a house for some family. One look at those clothes makes you understand that some people just don't take care of themselves enough.
"Princess?... Now that's a first." she smirked, still walking ahead. "We're going to town shoes... I'm pretty sure they had that here. I got my previous pair by order so I'm hoping they'd at least have something of Cola Haan or Calvin Klein. Not the best option, but it'll do for now..." she explained, glancing around the shop windows. So far, she didn't see anything promising. Oh god, please let this turn out fine? Of course, there was that chance she might just find something she liked instantly and had to get it. The best part is, she could. That is why she liked shopping.
"By the way..." she began while looking back. "Do you have a name?" she asked, slightly raising a brow.
(No worries, hun. My posts have been shrinking recently too xD)

Ace held onto her hand, it was soft, sorta nice as far as hands went. It wasn't rough like his dads from all the cooking he did, but it was softer than any other girl's he met. She must live a good life if her hands were as soft as these. You can tell a lot from a person's hands, he learned that from a story he once read. Something about how someone's profession was in their hands. Like how a guitar player might have calluses on the tips of their fingers from holding down those notes, or how a farmer would have scars and be dark from working the fields. It was something like that, and if they had soft hands, well they didn't do much physical work with them. He gave her hand a light squeeze instinctively as if to say trust me, I won't let you fall. He didn't mean for his hand to squeeze it just did.
He looked at her with a feigned innocent look, "Do you prefer Your highness, or My queen better?" He asked with a sly grin on his face. Maybe if he played his cards right, he could get a kiss or two off the girl, maybe more. But time would have to wait and see. He'd have to be pretty careful on how he played his hand. This was a game to Ace, this was the chase. He listened to her as she talked about brands of clothing and shoes and shopping. Hell He only knew Calvin Klein as name brand underwear. He went into a Calvin Klein shop once before back in PA but it was all suits. He hated suits, he felt like he was being strangled when he wore them. The tie was the worst, ugh he hated the feeling of it. Some people said he looked good in a suit, and maybe it could have been used on a few occasions to get girls, but no Ace preferred to be able to breath over choking in a suit. "Uh huh." He said nodding not really sure what was going on, he just got that they were going to another store for shoes.
Ace nodded, "Why yes my Princess, most people call me Ace." He said with a grin. Then going all formal and old English he said "If your majesty would grace my peasant ears with your title, I'd be more than happy to listen." He said with a mock bow. Holding bags and bowing was a little difficult but he managed it. "In other words, tell me your name beautiful, so I can tell Santa what I want for Christmas." Ace said with one of the most charming smiles he could manage. Geeze that line sucked.
