it had been a few weeks since harley had been in the fire dorms. she had managed to creep back in when she knew no one was around. the red head was not happy living with earth and water kids. they got annoying quickly. she had tried to get privacy, but that didn't seem to happen with some kids. harley sighed as she sank into a comfy chair. oh how she missed the warmth of the fire dorms. it seemed like a life time, but really it hadn't been that long. the girl stretched, and tried to get comfortable, but nowadays that seemed less. harley was always on edge, waiting for someone to strike. kansas said she was just being paranoid, but harley went back to the day she had met samson's adoptive mother. she had told harley something about an evil eye, and bad luck. harley hadn't believed in that kind of thing, but it kind of felt true now. speaking of samson, the red head missed him. it was sad really, how much she missed him. they were only friends, but harley wished they were more than that. she was so sure that he didn't want her in that way. heck, harley had been sure she didn't want a relationship with anyone, but she had been slowly falling for him. the fire student wished so much she could push herself away from him; in honest she feared rejection. harley wanted him to like her, but she just didn't believe samson was into her. why would he he? she was a tratior, and had chose josh over him. what a mistake that had been. out of sheer boredom, harley made the common room extremely hot, then took it away. the red head did this for a few minutes before jumping up out of the chair to pace. as sad as it was, harley just couldn't enjoy private time. she had gotten so use the earth kids. harley had a small pang for her sister, she had just arrived at the academy, and was thrown into a war. it was so unfair. harley had to explain to kansas what was going on, and that the best thing was to just ignore everything. with a great big sigh, harley flopped back down on the chair, and started to drift asleep. tag ;; seth outfit ;; clicksnotes ;; blahh

Seth was tired from a whole day of very, very boring classes, and all he wanted to do was get some rest. Unfortunately, he couldn't do that, because someone had locked the door to his room, on the only day that he had forgotten to bring his keys. Unlucky? Likely. Someone having some fun with him? Much more likely. So there he was, pissed and tired and standing in front of the door to his room waiting for his roommate to come. Hopefully, he hadn't forgotten his keys, too. But he was getting impatient. So he decided to head on over to the common room. The seats there were pretty comfortable, enough to take a nap on. Besides, he wasn't planning to stay the whole night, so there was little harm in that.
So with that, he started trudging towards the common room, his feet dragging lazily with every step. When he finally got there, he saw that it was empty. He made his way to one of the chairs in the corner, where he wouldn't be noticed, and collapsed onto it with a sigh of relief. Closing his eyes, he started to drift off to sleep, when he felt something. It was the room temperature. And it was hot. uncomfortable so. Then it was normal again. He felt himself starting to drift off for the second time, when it happened again. It was probably just some bored fire elemental practicing his or her powers. He was too tired to check. But when it happened again, he snapped awake. Now he was pissed.
He stood up and surveyed the room. There, on one of the chairs, was a girl. And since she was the only person there, he concluded that it was she who was causing the constant change of temperature. Luckily for her, he didn't recognize her as one of the traitors. Things would have gotten messy if he had. As it was, he only remembered a few vague faces, and only Josh's and stood out among them. He would remember to confront him later. But for now... He conjured up a miniature fireball and casually threw it with accurate aim onto the floor in front of her. If he had held off a few inches, it might have hit her and set her on fire. But he prided himself with his aim, and he felt the pride get stronger when he heard the fireball fall onto the ground with a thunk. It would burn itself out eventually, and he had only done it to get her attention.
He coughed, in case the fireball hadn't gotten her attention. "If you wanted to cook me, you should have said so. I know a few recipes." he looked at her with something of a cross between a frown and a smile on his face. It was true though. He had been bored once, so he had googled it up, and he came up with quite a few interesting results, a lot of which he was willing to share with her if she was interested, with the purpose of grossing her out.
