Kenna sauntered towards her assigned room with her maroon suitcase rolling behind her. As she approached, she took one more look at the small sheet of paper she'd received earlier. It said:
REBECCA MILWAUKEE, KENNA
Room: Right Hall, Fourth Dorm, Left Side
Roommate(s): AVERY WOODS, ASHA and FARIN GRANDSTOMP, SHEA
Don't forget to be at your classes at 8:00 A.M. tomorrow morning!
Hesitantly, she reached for the doorknob, but then she remembered the first flame she created was white hot everyone else that she'd heard of only had created orange and blue flames in the beginning. She thought she was stronger than anyone here, just ill-trained. That changed today. Now Kenna was going to be trained by people that knew what they were doing here. Bursting into her room, she saw no one here. Obviously the residents here had decided the entire room was their own.
The girl first flicked on a light, then she got to work. Finding a backpack in the other girls' closet, she went over to one of the bedside tables. She swept everything but the lamp into the bag and the checked under the bed, she pulled everything out from there and piled it onto the other bed the one of the girls seemed to sleep in. Kenna then ventured into the closet and moved everything just enough so there was room for her shirts and dresses. Luckily they hadn't stuffed the third dresser yet, so she hurriedly put everything of hers away in there.
Stepping back and looking at her success, she took out her pictures of home, Debby, and Mikey above her new bed. Then, she put her sheets and blankets on the bed and put her ipod on, lay down, and think about what was to come.Wordcount: 294 Listening to: A mix of Green Day, Linkin Park, Eminem, etc. Notes: She's toast. x3

Asha expected to walk into her dorm room and find it empty, like it had been when she had left. Shea had previously been her roommate but bickering over Ashton had caused her to pack up all of her stuff and find a new roommate. It was numbing to Asha, she didn't have any reactions towards the whole situation. Quite frankly, she was tired of caring and Shea had managed to cause all of that. Her dorm had become more deserted and felt even more empty than ever. Shea had gone through all of the trouble of spreading out all of their belongings over the dorm, making it feel more homey and welcoming. To have her suddenly collect her stuff and up and leave left Asha feeling like was stifled with a loneliness. How could Shea ever do that to her? Her best friend had exploded on her for kissing the Earth leader and now after ignoring her she was through with putting up with her any longer. So now she was avoiding her own dorm, finding ways to stay out and about as long as possible. A few nights she had even slept in the common room, the room feeling more comforting then her own dormitory.
Plunging into her room, silent and mopey Asha would have never expected to see a brat sprawled out on what had been Shea's bed. She lingered at the entrance to the dorm, peering over at her and taking in the work that the little runt had done. She had the audacity to shift all of Asha's things off of the bed and move it all onto her own bed. How long had it taken her to rearrange her things after Shea had hitched her way out of the room? Asha counted a few hours, she had stayed up all night and moved her stuff around because sleep hadn't come easy after Shea decided to desert her. Her headphones were plugged into her ears, which would keep her from hearing the click of Asha's heels as she made her way over to her. Asha had no consideration for others. It showed when she bent own to reach over and pull roughly on the girl's headphones, tearing them out of her ears. Now that she had the girl's attention Asha dropped her face to be directly hovering in front of hers. "Get the hell out," Asha barked at her.

Kenna was peacefully listening to her favorite playlist when some idiot chick walked right up to her and pulled out her ear buds. Then, she looked down at the new girl with a face of disgust and told her to get out of her own room. The nerve!
Sitting up, she scowled at the girl, returned one headphone back to its home in her ear, but left the other out to hear the reaction she'd get when the other resident read the letter. "Now look here, little Miss Bossy, I was assigned to this room so I ain't leaving. Even read the stupid note from the school staff. Got it?" After giving the note to the oh so rude roommate, she lay back down and sang along to her songs, completely ignorant to the brunette sitting on the bed next to her. Her words rang out in harmony with the song,"This beat is... Automatic supersonic hypnotic funky fresh, Work my body so melodic, This beat flows right through my chest, Everybody ma and pappi came to party, Grab somebody, work your body, work your body, Let me see you 1,2 step!
Rock it, don't stop it, Everybody get on the floor, Wake the party up, We about to get it on, (Let me see ya'll) 1,2 step, (I love it when ya'll) 1,2 step (Everybody) 1,2 step, We about to get it on" Wordcount: 230 Directed to: Asha Listening to: 1, 2 Step by Ciara Notes: Okay now she's really toast. Someone had to work to gain the respect of Asha Woods and prove they were actually worthy of her attention. How was this little brat faring so far? Not well, not very well at all. Things would have been different if Kenna had came into the room and patiently waited until Asha had returned to the room. To take all of her things and dump them onto her own bed was something that automatically made Asha assume that Kenna an ignorant who had no consideration for others. Sure, Asha had been rude and pulled out her headphones but none of that would have happened if Kenna hadn't been so careless with the way that she arranged the dorm room. The slip of paper that was waved in front of her face was roughly pulled out of Kenna's hand. Asha had no regard for whatever the paper had said, in an instant it was up in flames and reduced to ashes in her hand. "Here Kenna, I'll give you a little welcoming gift. You know, since I'm sorry for coming off as a complete bitch," Asha said, giving her a sincere smile. She held out her hand over her face and sprinkled the ashes of the paper to rain down onto her face. Her smile transformed to look purely sinister, she bent over to once again bring her own face close to Kenna's. "Nice to meet you, I'm Satan. Welcome to hell."
Somehow the office had been able to discover that Shea had moved her way out of the dorm, meaning that bed that was placed across from Asha's was now marked as open. "Dammit, I always get stuck with the runts who think they can run the show," Asha openly whined, hardly caring that her words were clear for Kenna to hear. Actually, she wanted her to catch every word that she was saying. Asha would gladly repeat herself if Kenna decided to play the card where she asked her to say what she had again. No one scared Asha, expect for the Water students and at points in time her own brother. Asha was not going to feel cornered by a pest who didn't look like she could be a day over fifteen. Before she pulled her face away from Kenna's Asha reached out to try and grab on a piece of her and give her head a rough yank. Her eyes were slits as she finally straightened up and took herself back over to her bed. Just because some girl who was in over her head was now rooming with her didn't mean that she would be driven at her own dormitory. She started to sing and Asha managed to wait patiently until her horrible crooning was through with. "Honey, you're never going to sound like her. The best you'll do is exhaust your vocal chords. So I'm going to encourage you to sing all you wish," Asha cooed out, winking at her with malice laced in her stare.

Just as Kenna was turning her music back on to listen to Ciara, that bitch Asha dumped what was left of the paper in her face, and as she was singing some ashes landed in her mouth and on her tongue. She sputtered and coughed, waving her hand in front of her own face as she sat up. Only then did she realize the smirk on the careless wench's ugly excuse for a face. She stood up, squatted down, looked her roommate in the eyes and said coldly with all but one emotion dismissed from her entire body, "We have to be roommates and God forbid we ever become friends, but don't cross me. My very first flame was white hot, so deal with it, you abominable twat!"
Clearly, Kenna was losing her patience, but she didn't give a damn about this shithead right now. Actually, all she really cared about were very few. A) Ultimately controlling fire. B) Mikey, but right now she didn't have either, and she'd step on, crush, burn alive, and manipulate anyone she could to get her to both with the sweet taste of victory in her mouth, and the fire burning deep inside her heart, that is, if what she had even qualified as one to the laws of the universe. If Mikey was here right now this Asha girl wouldn't be so quick to make an enemy out of Kenna Rebecca Milwaukee.

Who was this girl to believe that she had any sort of superiority over Asha? Especially when she was a new face around the school who wasn't even sure how the workings of the social standings actually worked. She would have possibly taken her blatant disregard and arrogance into consideration if she had been older and immediately showed Asha she had an animosity that could match her own. Kenna was only a sophomore, two years younger than her. That meant her elemental control wouldn't even be something that could match against her. Her random appearance at the academy also revealed that she wouldn't have the proper training to have a firm grip over the control of flames. Was she even the slightest bit fierce? From the sides that she had shown to Asha all that she could take on was that she had a big mouth. A mouth that didn't seem to know when it should keep shut. She highly doubted that there would even be any actual threat behind her words. It didn't really matter, anyway. Asha was a Fighter Girl and her control over fire was something that she prided herself on. Kenna wouldn't even know what she had coming towards her. She would be incredibly foolish to think that she would even be able to stand against Asha Woods. That thought would be crushed the moment she made Asha get up off of her bed.
She let out an amused snort that the words that left her mouth. The things that Kenna was saying to her didn't even pose as valid thoughts to Asha. To think that one day they would become friends was a thought that turn reality when leprechauns visited the academy on the back of rainbow colored unicorns. Her eyes lolled over to Kenna and she stared at her a moment, letting the sight of the revolting runt set in before she finally parted her lips to speak. "I had just gotten all cozy and comfortable on my bed. It's a shame that you're going to make me get up so I can better acquaint you with my fist," Asha spoke, her words sounding like they were actually full of what would be called remorse. Asha had never experienced that feeling, she was never apologetic for anything that she did. Just like she wasn't rueful for her act of sprinkling the charred paper all over Kenna's face. "I'm going to settle two things before I kick off my heels and come over there to show you how an ass kicking is properly executed, Kenny." The nickname rolled off her tongue like she had been saying it for years. Her intentions were to irk Kenna, something that seemed very plausible. "The first thing is, hell will be supplied with an ocean sized supply of whatever when I want to be your friend. The second is, you're a pussy faced bitch for believing that your juvenile remarks will rile me up."
Her words rang true, the apparent insults that Kenna had screamed at her would have only worked a shrug out of Asha as a response. The only thing that she had needed to do to rile her up and fuel her temper was to think that Asha should think to "cross her." The words had been nearly humorous enough to work a laugh out of Asha that have held anything but mirth. "Sweetie, you'll quickly learn that I the person that you'll never want to cross. I'm afraid your thinking is a little backwards," she said with an exaggerated pout for Kenna's sake. "Maybe someone gouged a pair of scissors in your brain when they gave you that hideous haircut." It was a superficial stab at Kenna but Asha had a thought that Kenna seemed to be the person that thrived on vanity. So there would be nothing better then cutting down her looks on top of thoroughly kicking her ass. Now that throwing daggers at her were through Asha bent over the bed to reach out at her legs. Both heels were lobbed at the ground before she slid herself off of her bed. Kenna had really made her get off of her bed, which meant that she was serious with her threat. "One lesson coming right to you, shitstick," Asha said, a sinister air clouding her tone and seeping deeply into her words. She sauntered easily over to Kenna's bed, leaning over and grabbing at her shirt with a strength that was betrayed by her slender body. It took minimal effort to pull her off of the bad and stand her right in front of her. Asha's one hand remained fastened to her shirt, the other winding back and aiming a series of forceful punches directly at her gut. She was only satisfied after her arm was pulled back and sent right at her stomach after four hearty punches, Asha let her hold on her shirt released and waited to see if she would drop to the floor.

This punk really was irking her. Just because she had more experience and was a few years older than her she thought she could treat her like shit. What a hothead. Sure Kenna was short tempered and unforgiving, but she didn't always go looking for a fight! Mikey even said so all the time! As she sit squat in front of Asha, she was yanked fiercely up by her collar. As if that wasn't enough to get her going, the blind bitch started calling her out on her looks. Really? She was that dim-witted that she couldn't even get out a worthwhile insult. Pathetic.
Just as she opened her mouth to reply, a gut-wrenching pain shot through her five times. Grimacing in pain she grasped her stomach tightly. She returned her hateful stare to Asha and muttered about how much she hated her already, and as she spoke she watched a spark take to life in the douchebag's hair. She grinned through the pain as she willed the spark to grow and burn brighter, luckily, fire came through for her rage and hate. Kenna watched as her roommate's hair burst into orange flames licking away at each horrible brunette strand of Asha's excuse for hair.

The flame was going to be able to travel very far. It sparked in the air, created from the pure rage that was rolling off of Kenna. Asha had control over the element that Kenna couldn't even begin to imagine. Without much thought the spark seemed to die down, nothing but an ember lingering in the air. From the spark came a flame that Kenna wouldn't have been able to conjure even if she had been giving it all of her thought and concentration. Her eyes glowed with the flame that was soon on display for Kenna to see. It sparked brilliantly, licking up the the post of her bed and staying in perfect confinement. It would be more draining that Asha would have liked but she was going Kenna that she couldn't match her, even in her wildest dreams. Orange was the color that was seen before Kenna, the flames taking over the foot board of her bed and roaring to grow nearly double in size. The heat sweltered off the flickering flames and grew to an intense temper before completely extinguishing in a big show. A devious smile set onto her face while she surveyed the blackened mess that had become the end of Kenna's bed. Did she understand just who she was dealing with?

Kenna smirked at the girl as the ember grew brighter in Asha'a sickeningly colored hair, but her smile faded with the glow of the spark. Only a thin thread of smoke remained, defying gravity and floating upward to the vents blowing in steam every hour or so. Getting pretty peeved, she opened her mouth to confront her snotty roommate, she saw her bed post catch flame. She gasped, but then she remembered it was school property, so, not her problem. she watched it intensify then die off, only because Asha commanded it to, though.
Returning her spiteful eyes to gaze at Asha's lifeless ones, she tilted her head, like a school girl, and shrugged her shoulders. After snickering under her breath, she pried Roomy's sweaty hand from her adorable pink baby tee. Kenna adjusted her shirt so it looked like it was before it was assaulted by poorly manicured nails. Sha sat back down on her plush bed, blew the charred, smoky ash from her bed sheets, and returned to her music.
