Dani loved solitude, which is probably why she lacked people in the friend department. It would usually bother her, but not right now; at this moment, silence is her friend. This is what the small freshman girl thought as she sat against a large rock, looking over at what lays beyond the cliff.
What she views is a magnificent site. Beyond the cliffs are forests of trees galore. Their jaded colors contrast to make the bluish hue of the sky a brilliant color. For some odd reason, she imagined herself running in those forests to see where it ends, but that would suicide. Who knew what type of animals or dangerous people are out there. So she just left that thought in the crevices of her mind.
The hot sun started to beat down on her forward. She shields herself as best as she can with her hand, but to no such luck. i should have brought a hat or something... but the freshman girl was so excited that for once it wasn't raining and that it is sunny outside, so she took the advantage given to her. She wanted to soak up as much sun as she could, because she knew it probably wouldn't last this long.
Her thoughts of the sun brought her back to previous memories. She thought about a similar day like this, only it was in the U.S.; Nevada, to be exact. She was just relaxing on the porch of her home, doing nothing in particular. home... she thought. that wasn't a home. No, she hated that place she was in for the majority of her life. She didn't hate the people necessarily, just the reason why she was there. The fact that her parents didn't want her and left her there to be in the care of strangers bothered her back then, and still does currently. She pondered all day and all night the reasons of why she's unwanted. She didn't think on the matter as much since she's been adopted by two awesome people, but she couldn't help but turn her thoughts back to her prior life.
what did i do wrong...
