Cameron had stayed locked up in her room for quite some time tonight, which for her was definitely out of the norm. She had finished her homework what felt like hours ago, but still hadn't gotten herself out of the dormitories. One thing was sure about Cameron, she hadn't been acting like herself lately and not even she knew why.
Maybe it was her past, maybe it was this war that had her on edge. One person had died not long ago and how many others were going to? Not that Cam minded the war, she loved it in a sort of odd way. It gave everyone something to do, it showed the strength of each element, especially fire. It really put everyone to the test, which she felt she was passing with flying colors.
What had her all upset though, there was no way for even her to know. Normally in times like this she'd go and create mischief with her best friend, but lately not even that distracted her thoughts completely. She sat down and tried to go through her mind of what was bothering her but nothing came up, so she tried to search deeper but knew where that would lead so she stopped. Cam had no desire to think about her past and knew that it would only upset her more, she had blocked it out for a reason. There was no time to think about how much she missed her brother, wanting nothing more then to just be able to talk to him, like that would ever happen.
No, that wasn't what was bugging her though, but Cameron was done with soul searching for the night. Checking the clock she realized that it really was a late hour. For a moment she thought about turning in, but in truth, she knew she wouldn't. Instead she grabbed a pair of slip-on shoes and walked around the girls dormitory, finding something to do, if anything.
