could you ever think to associate the world violent with asha woods? she would tell with a few choice words that she was the very definition of violence. easily she could make up half of the fights or mischief that happened at the academy. it was nothing for her to throw a punch aimed at someone's face or to have a nice tussle with some guy who thought that they could try to handle her in anyway that they pleased. no one ever got away when they did something that asha didn't think was acceptable. because of her tendencies to violence it was never uncommon to find her having to serve detentions. it was something that she simply shrugged off, actually it was another competition with her brother.
the two of them reeked enough havoc that they were both near the same number for the attentions that they had been assigned. asha could count close to two hundred detentions she had served in her years at the academy. it was an accomplishment to find herself in so much trouble. her mother didn't have the same outlook on her digging her nose into chaos. her father however always gave her a smirk and would nod his head to show that his daughter was making him proud. asha would ignore her mother and proceed to tell her father about how she had meddled and give him the details on her latest scheme. april would shake her head and then ruffle asha's hair, she still adored her explosive daughter.
who knew that when she aimed a harmless orb of flames at a water student she would have a panic attack? asha hadn't been informed that her parents had died in a fire when she was young and now any sort of flames would set the girl off into an attack of fright. to do better with the whole situation the girl somehow managed to burn her hand on the miniature orb. asha rolled her eyes when she was called to the office, they didn't even need to tell her that she would be receiving two detentions for the incident. she stayed in the office long enough to tell them that tuesday and thursday would work for her detention dates. she wouldn't try and work with them, they would work with her and be content that she was even attending the detentions.
she scrunched her noise when she entered the detention room, it was early in the morning and everyone who had been roused out of bed still looked like they hadn't left their beds. to look so disgruntled was never something that asha could try and do. it was six o'clock in the morning and she already dressed for the day while looking quite awake and alert. asha shot a few glares and gave a brawny looking thunder boy the finger for the stare that he sent her way. she tipped her nose into the air and strutted through the closely placed rows of desk, she was haughty and everyone could know it. asha placed herself delicately into the seat in the corner, she had deemed the seat as her own back in her freshman year. her name was even burned into the desk, that way no one could ever try to slide by and argue with her. asha let out a shy and pulled on the string of her boot. detention was always dull.

Vlad was taking his time walking down the hall. Stopping for pretty much any excuse he could. He got yelled at once or twice by a teacher to hurry up which was the cause of him being here already. He could still feel a slight sting on his arm from where he had been burnt that morning. He had been walking to detention when a fire kid had sent a fire ball and hit him in the arm. He didn't bother chase the kid down knowing that he would probably lose the fight anyways right now.
He pushed the door to detention open slowly expecting the teacher to be mad at him for being late. "Taylor, Where were you? You're goi- Vlad cut him off right there knowing what he was going to say simply putting a finger up to stop him. "I know, Another detention." He said rather sleepily, Although he probably looked like he had been awake actually preparing to go to detention. He had his own reason for looking alright going to detention, You never knew who you would see there. He gave a yawn then smiled when he looked to the corner and walked and sat just next to the girl he saw.
"Hey, Im vladimir. You can call me vlad. You look nice, And you've got beautiful eyes." He smiled as he said it. He wasn't mindless doing the flirting but he wasnt particulary choosing his words his own they just came to him. He didn't think anyone could blame him for fliriting with the girl. He tried to keep the tired look off his face. He tried to look alert so it didnt look like he had worn the clothes to sleep or anything. He looked at her desk for a second seeing a burn in it. It said Asha, "I think someones claimed that seat..." He said confused why someone would burn their name into the desk.

she tugged roughly onto the lace of her shoe, when she dropped the lace she smiled delightfully at the blackened imprints her fingers had left. rubbing her fingers together she felt the last of the warmth vanish, it was something that made her want to go grab and a poor soul and grip them desperately. the control she had over element was becoming refined and she was finding it easier. she wanted her abilities to match shea's, the hold she had over fire was something that made asha strive to be placed on her level. it was a competition, even if it was natural for shea to have more of hone over the blazing flames. eagerly she gripped at her desk, a lovely look flourished on her face when she felt the material start to slightly raise in temperature. it was a swift command and she was thoroughly surprised when instantly the desk became cool. fooling around like this would easily allow the hour to tick by without much complaint from asha. testing herself would easily become a challenge that she would delve into. it would be more efficient for her then sinking down into the seat and creating an argument with the person besides him simply to keep herself entertained.
she didn't restrain a groan when someone sidled up to the seat beside her and decided to attempt to engage with a conversation with her. the seat beside her was almost always left empty, it was done purposely too. the last person that had sat besides her had ended up on a trip to the medical wing after they thought they were wise enough to come out as the victor of a banter with asha. she lifted her eyes from the slight imprint of her fingers on the desk and gazed at the guy seated beside her, she was feeling considerate enough to withhold a snort. "i didn't ask for your name, did i? i'll say though that you remind of a vampire, so now you're dracula," asha said to him, her brisk words doubling as a greeting. she swung her legs back up to place them on the desk then glanced back over at vlad. he had already thrown two compliments at her, both which were generic and held no meaning towards her. "i've got my mother genes. she's a beautiful lady," asha responded, shrugging at him like what she was saying made the most sense in the world. "i know i look nice, i don't need you to tell me that." she was staring at him with a piercing glare, her eyes telling him that his attempts to flirt with her would be utterly futile.
he was also an idiot, something that she realized the moment he made a remark about her name being burnt into the desk. she parted her legs, peering at the name as if she were attempting to look thoughtful. "oh yeah, i totally forgot about that asha bitch," she flippantly said, her eyes rolling slightly. vlad wasn't aware of who she was, which meant that it would be fun to prod at him and make him squirm a little. "she's a real hag, you know? she likes to think that this desk is hers because she has gotten over two hundred detentions. like that is something to flaunt," asha said with a snort. she brushed her hair off of her shoulder and peered over at vlad to take in his reaction to her words. "is having my beautiful eyes stare you leaving you incapable of talking, dracula? stop drooling and use your mouth to speak," asha said the minor insults like she was giving out a compliment to vlad.

Vlad chuckled a little bit, He didnt mind that she was already saying things like that. Actually he thought it just added to the challenge and excitement. "I was just being nice, Cant Dracula be nice sometimes?" He said when she told him she knew what she looked like. When he saw her glare he only smiled. This was going to be fun, He thought still smiling at her. He frowned slightly at what she said. He didnt just go calling people bitches for no reason.
"I wouldn't know firsthand if she's a hag, But after seeing you I think everyone else might be close." He grinned, Deciding he could probably take her word for it. He wasnt letting her know that he was going to take her word for it of course. "What are you in here for?" He asked curiously. He always was curious why people got detention. He wondered if anyone else in here was targeted by a kid younger than them and attacked. He had been simply minding his own buisness and a thunder kid had shocked him, Needless to say the teacher didnt belive Vlad.
Vlad leaned back in his seat some wondering if this was going to go on the whole time in detention or if he would have to resort to doing something boring. He hoped the conversation lasted the whole hour, But didnt want to get the girl mad at him or anything, Afterall she was already getting a little angry most likely. Or entertained, He couldnt really tell. He just hoped she didnt melt his face off or whatever she could do with her element. She wasnt a wind element or else he would know her, And it didnt seem a water or earth would have been acting the way she was so he came down to she was fire or thunder

dracula wasn't going to lay off from her, even after she had presented him with a sneak peek of how explosive her temper could be. early in the morning she was still prone to being lit up with a blazing rage at even the slightest of irritations. this vlad kid seemed to have plenty of potential of feeding a fire that asha wasn't even attempting to try and tame. her eyes rolled lazily and she looked over at him with a stare that said "why are you even talking?" for a moment she didn't even bother to answer, instead she wondered how much stupidity could honestly be bottled up into a single bundle of a person. "do you know how dracula was?" her question was spoken slowly to stress the point that she was slowing her pace to his alleged comprehension level. "dracula was a fictional character who preyed on young women and sucked them dry. a person like that doesn't usually get categorized into the section of 'nice.'" asha was only speaking in a snap, she hadn't risen her tone yet or barked at him with a raw rage. it was only a few minutes into their conversation and she was priding herself on the fact that she was still achieving a civil conversation.
this kid was a complete idiot, at least that was the opinion that asha had formed. when it came to her views on others they were quickly formed on the first few words that they spoke towards her. so far in their conversation vlad had aimed two extremely compliments in her direction and tried to state that dracula could be a polite person. the option of directing a small orb of fire his way crossed her mind, then she quickly dismissed it when yet another compliment passed through her conversation partner's lips. "you're lame compliments can stop now. they aren't going to make me want to flutter my eyelashes at you or make me flush," asha blatantly said to him, not even bothering to look his way. she picked at her shirt and brushed her cardigan out of the way. vlad had no chance with her and she would make it obviously known, just in case he was having issues with understanding. he changed the conversation and asha found that it was a simple question she wouldn't mind conjuring an answer for. "i set a girl's hair on fire." she gave a shrug of her shoulders and then lazily lolled her head over to peer at him.

"Mhm, Old vampire dude who burned if he went into the sun." He nodded while saying it slightly, Who didnt know who dracula was? He listened to her explanation, He didnt care that she didnt care for his compliments. "Maybe, Im not dracula then." He ignored how she said anything really. He made some wind try to cool down where he had gotten burnt earlier when it started aching.
He sighed as the pain went away. Looking back at Asha, He smiled. "Well, That certaintly would be a sight. And you cant blame a guy for trying right?" He didnt really care if she didnt like his compliments. If he got her to blush it was an accomplishment to him, And he would drop the compliments and even the conversation if she liked. When she told him why she was in there he came to a conclusion.
"Well, Its nice to meet you Asha." It was rather obvious to him now that the girl was a fire elemental. He wondered if she asked wether he should lie about why he was there or not. Fire was pretty unified, If you fought one another one might attack you just for speaking of it around them.
He thought for a second and barely could resist laughing. He thought about how she would react if he just started imitating Jar Jar binks. It would have amused him, But maybe not her.

"well obviously all vampires burn to a pile of asha if they go into the sun," asha retorted, making a face at his idiocy. the lure of vampires was something that everyone had some general knowledge on. asha had more information collected in her brain than most. when she had been thirteen she had gone through a phase where all sorts of horror interested and intrigued her. any book, movie, or internet article hadn't been able to get past through her grip as she drank down everything eagerly. "twlight completely twisted the world's perception a vampire though," she disdainfully commented, looking over to vlad. "so, do you shimmer like a million diamonds have been embedded in your skin when you go outside?" he had pointedly ignored everything that she said earlier, which made her frown at him. "you're obviously not dracula," asha said to him, wiggling her eyebrows to mock him childishly.
it was almost cute the way that vlad looked over at her and tried send a smile her way. the seemingly sincere smile on his part was returned with a scathing scowl from asha that burned degrees of hatred. the tolerance she had for pests wasn't high. her irritation was displayed as asha flicked her hair back from her face and let out a low huff. her gaze didn't bother to wander back to his face, she was tired having to look at the stupidity etched into him. "it would be a moment that everyone would rush to photograph or catch on film," she agreed, silently willing him to stitch his mouth shut. it wasn't a surprise when when he continued to yammer on about something that asha had no care to know, honestly. "i don't care if i can blame them or not," she said with finality, hoping that her fierce tone would hush him. asha didn't feel like exploding this early in the morning. her temper should have been able to behave until midday. however with vlad seated beside her that seemed far from possible.
