Vladimir hadnt seen anything of the other Peoples reactions about the war but he had heard about it. He was getting questioned and sometimes even attacked about his decision of who to side with during the war and yelling at Blackthorne. He had to get away from it all so he decided he would go to get something to eat out side of school. He decided he would go to burgerking.
When he got to burgerking he went inside and thought, Shit. to himself He had heard Lissa had sided with blackthorne and the others but he hadnt talked to her since. He took his time getting his food even though he hadnt really had an appetite anymore. When he got his food he decided he wanted to go talk to Lissa. He slid into the booth across from Lissa.
"Hi Lissa, How are you? You know, You have the prettiest brown eyes." Vladimir said with a flirty tone. Hoping to avoid the topic of the war, But knowing all too well it would end up being talked about one way or another. He looked across the table at his friend. They had known eachother for a while and the 'Relationship' if you can call it that was always the same him flirting with her, Her not doing it back but it didnt bother Vlad.

For all intents and purposes, Lissa was an ant. Yes, an ant. She had started the trend of people going over the the thunder and fire leaders in a show of support, but she felt awful about it. She didn't really believe that that earth girl had done anything wrong, especially since she hadn't heard any proof. But now that she'd made her choice, she was committed to doing something about it. What was she suppose to do? She was so out of practice with her power that eve if she went up against a water elemental her own age she'd probably lose. She had basically no stamina, and no fighting cleverness.
She didn't want to be thrown into a situation like that, so the junior had fled from the thought of having dinner in a mess full of opposing sides. The young girl had driven herself to burger king, ordering a large meal and moving to a booth in the corner of the building to pick at it unsuccessfully. That was really all she could do. She had no appetite, she didn't know how to speak to her friends anymore, she really didn't know what to do about this war. She hated wars. Stupid wars. Lissa let her hand fall to the table and sighed, lifting her head to look about the joint.
To her chagrin, she found Vlad had come here, too. She ducked her head immediately, letting her hair cover her face from his angle and pulling up a hand to keep the hair from reaching her untouched food. But that wasn't very useful, seeing as her hair was dyed a bright and unique red. Moments later saw Vladimir scooting into the booth with her, seated across the table from her. She looked up at him sullenly, feeling both a little guilty and a little indignant. But she didn't have any control over what he chose, or how loudly he shouted it at everyone. He spoke, and she shrugged, her usual good spirits lost to view. ”Hi, Vlad. I'm fine. And no I don't.”

Vlad saw her try to hide from him, She would have had better luck in not moving he thought to himself. Her hair was a real unique color. When he saw her look a little guilty he sighed feeling that it was partially his fault for yelling at blackthorne infront of everyone. "I'm sorry. I knew you were going to side with the thunders and I should have and I wish I would have stayed neutral but I didnt. And thats my fault. Vladimir said it guiltily If he wouldnt have yelled at blackthorne he felt that she would be in a little better mood since they were friends and he had sided against her. "Thats good. And you do have the prettiest brown eyes and dont let anyone tell you different because they're wrong if they say something different. I promise." Vladimir said feeling that the words were the truth. He didnt like see'ing Lissa sad, So he was trying to do all in his power to make her happy again. He only hoped it would work because there wasnt anything else he could do it wasnt like he could make her smile and be happy. "I stepped down from wind leader." He said thinking she would rather learn from him than someone else that he stepped down, And because he didnt like to keep secrets from his friend.

When he started apologizing, Lissa shook her head. She didn't like being so subdued, not when she normally hid all of her discomfort under a giggly, bubbly personality. But she really couldn't pull herself out of this rut, her mind going over and over the things that she could only imagine would happen in the next few weeks. She didn't really have any idea how long her people would pursue this before they gave up. A month? The rest of the term? God forbid that they actually got what they were seeking. Killing Nell..... Lissa shuddered.
”You should have.” She agreed, not looking at him as she poked her cooling burger a couple times. ”You should have stayed neutral, but it's not your fault. I don't want to be any part of a stupid war. I'm not any good at fighting, I'd be demolished on my own.” And she didn't want to think about what would happen after the war, if they let her back in the dorms. They would still hate her for leaving them. She'd never be protected again. So she'd made a choice that she very much regretted. But Lissa was like that. She couldn't be true to herself, and probably never would.
He tried his best to continue to compliment her, but she just shook her head. It took her a very long time to overcome whatever she was feeling—flattered, uncomfortable, and much more—to actually say something in reply, however. And when she did, it was just. ”Thanks.” A grudging word that did not show any sign of belief. Then he said he'd stepped down from wind leader, and she gave him a wide-eyed look. ”You did what?” Why would he do that? Why would that have anything to do with the war? Were the wind leaders supposed to stay completely neutral all the time?

Vladimir sighed when she said It wasnt his fault thinking it was, It wasnt someone else that made him yell at Blackthorn. "No one else made me yell at Blackthorn. So yes it is my fault." He listened to her say she would be demolished if she was on her own, He figured that was true since she was afraid of the earth students. She had made the right decision if she didnt want to get hurt of course, And the earth students hopefully wouldnt hurt her if she didnt try to hurt them, Along with the water students yet no guarentee's could be made.
He sighed when she said thanks telling she didnt really belive him. He figured it would be the best he could get out of her for a while, At least until the war was over. He frowned slightly at the thought of the end of the war, Not because he wanted the war but because that could have meant that student Nell would be dead. He smiled again, It wasnt a real smile but it was still a smile. He got the reaction he thought he was going to get when he said he stepped down from male wind leader.
He sighed, "I stepped down, I realized when i had left that by yelling at Blackthorn it didnt mean he was going to take it out on me if he was going to be mad, It meant he was going to take it out on the element most likely. We have freshmen and other students that shouldnt be in pain because i lost my temper. I know its our choice if we stay nuetral or not, But what i did was stepping it up more than just siding with the water and earths. Although I know one thunder student who i wont touch even if they try to fight me. With that he smiled a true smile at lissa, She was of course who he was referencing. He would fight most people who tried to fight him but if they were his friends he wouldnt fight them because of some stupid war.

Lissa still didn't speak, tilting her head to the side a bit and still looking at her burger. Vlad was being extremely mature for....well, himself. But it still didn't make her feel any better. She didn't want to gain any sort of satisfaction from the fact that he felt bad about himself. After all, he'd been the one to bring everything about the war up, even though Lissa guessed that they had both come to escape from it at burger king. A lot of the elementals didn't like coming here. If they were going to save up enough to go out to eat, she figured they would go somewhere with a bit better food.
”Yeah.” She said, a little of the dullness leaving her voice as she finally looked at Vlad. ”Yeah, Alex has a very bad temper. I've seen him going at it with a water elemental before, and he actually scared her off.” Lissa knew very well how short a fuse the fire leader had. He was an incredibly volatile person, and she frankly tried to stay away from him because of it. With a sigh, Lissa mused over the fact that she was afraid of just about every person at the school. How pathetic was she?
She actually smiled at Vlad for that last bit, ”I wouldn't ever try to fight you.” And she meant it. A very few people had thought to check in on her since the beginning of this war, whether they'd seen her in this mood or not. And he had. She was very glad to have him as a friend, and she really didn't care that he wasn't a leader anymore. ”Besides, you'd beat me anyway. You wouldn't have to try at all, you just would.”

Vlad stopped when Lissa said that he had scared a water girl off before, That would be hard to do as a fire student if the water girl wasnt a freshmen. "Wow, Thats kind of scary... I guess. I mean, Fire beating water? Never even heard of that before this year I guess." He was going to try to eat but decided that now he just wanted to talk, He wasnt so hungry anymore after hearing that. He was glad that he got her to smile even if it was just a little bit, He didnt particulary care for his friends being upset. He was glad when she said she wouldnt even try to fight him. He didnt want to have to even think about fighting Lissa.
He sighed when she said he would beat her. He wouldnt even try to fight back and knew she could quite possibly still be right. He was actually a bit suprised with himself. He had been told countless times that he was just a mindless flirt, He knew that he flirted with most girls he met. But here he was having an actual conversation with someone he had tried to flirt with on countless occasions only complementing her eyes a few times because he found that he was saying the truth. He never thought himself to be a mindless flirt, But he knew he did flirt more than most people, He had even gotten smacked a few times to prove his point.
He smiled at Lissa and simply said "How would i win if i refused to fight? I think that means you win?" He was really curious on her opinion on that subject. He didnt particulary care for talking about the war right now as he came here to get away from it but he brought the topic up so he figured he would talk about it until Lissa brought up a new one. He was glad they werent talking about him stepping down from wind leader though, He liked having a little bit of authority even if it wasnt much. But he brought it upon himself so he would live with it.

Lissa giggled a little despite herself, remembering the time perfectly. She'd been rather scared of Alex for awhile, but it was actually a very funny thing to think of. No, it hadn't been a real fight with powers, they had kept it to words and attitudes. And the fire leader had won. The water girl had been about to give up and move on to her powers, but a teacher walked into a room. So it wasn't exactly like what she'd told Vlad, but it was still a testament to Alex's power of personality. Lissa knew she'd never be able to do that. Then again, she didn't hold fighting matches.
Now that she was somewhat distracted, the girl found her usual smile creeping up on her again. She looked up at her friend, the boy who managed to be an outrageous flirt and yet be her friend at the same time, and smiled a bit more widely. Though she wouldn't admit to herself that she got uncomfortable when boys tried to hit on her, she was aware enough of herself that she could enjoy the fact that he was willing to be her friend. But she wondered what he would think if he knew the truth...?
The thought wiped the smile from her face and she shook her head vigorous. Then she realized he was still right in front of her, and she blushed profusely. ”I....Uh....”
Then he asked her a question, and she jumped to answer before he could ask about her lack of composure. Hopefully he would pin it to affection for him than to anything more controversial. ”Because I'm so horrible with my powers, if I attacked you all you'd have to do was block a couple times and I'd faint. Honest, I'm no better than that. I'm a true blue wimp—I couldn't hold off a hungry squirrel.” [/blockquote]

Vlad smiled when Lissa blushed. He didnt bother asking why she blushed, if she wanted him to know she would tell him. He felt a little bad about bringing up the war and fighting when he knew that he went here to get away from it probably the same with Lissa. He could barely reisist laughing at what Lissa said.
"I dont know, I think we could just feed the squirrel and their family and they would leave us alone. I mean, We have enough food here to do it." He said mentioning their food. He didn't exactly know why he even bought it except for the fact that he wanted to be able to stay there for a while without being questioned or kicked out. Vlad was suprised he was actually paying alot of attention to what he was saying, He guessed it was just because of the war going on and that they were friends but he wasnt so sure.
"You know, Red is a nice color on you." He said smiling. He was referring back to when she blushed, Not actually saying it but wondering why she blushed. He mentally yelled at himself a little for going back to flirting knowing this might not be the best time, But what was done was done. He tried to keep his mind focused, But he couldnt. His head was going back and forth from thinking about the war, And what would happen when the war ended. He hoped that they could end the war without having to have anyone else die.

Lissa shook her head seriously, ”Yeah, but then we'd starve and then what position would we be in? I'll tell you—a bad one. All because you wouldn't sacrifice me to the squirrels.” She couldn't help but smile a bit after she said this, a bit of a chuckle escaping her. Well, at least he was managing to get her to stop brooding. Which really wasn't that hard. Lissa wasn't really the type to let things get her down all that often. She kept the smile on her face, and soon in was brightening up all of her features and becoming real. Then she realized she was hungry.
She poked her burger again. It was cold. ”I wonder how much of a fuss I would have to put up in order to get them to make me another one for free? Cold burgers aren't as good as hot ones. You notice all the textures, and you don't notice as much of the flavor and I don't think it digests quite as well. Do you think that I'd be able to get a new one?” She rambled, then looked back up at Vlad. He'd know n her long enough to be used to the way she carried on about everything she talked about. In fact, I must've been weird for him to see her so quiet before.
The girl them looked very confused when he said red was a good color on her. Immediately, her thoughts went to her hair, and one of her hands absently rose to touch the fiery locks. Her hair was dyed red, but she liked it anyway. It made her happy that she could be different and noticed in some way. Still, the compliment didn't make her blush as it might have coming from...well. From a girl. ”Um, thanks. That's very odd, I've had red hair around you all the time and you haven't mentioned it before. Unless--” She looked down at her clothes. Nope, no red. ”Um....I'm confused....”
