Oh look, it's morning again! Great... yet another Tuesday morning. And the best part - Tuesdays always started with math. The math test in this case. She didn't even know why she was up this early. No one else was out of their room yet. She guessed it was because of the stress. Yes, she could be stressed a little at times. For example that very day. She had spent the entire night studying and for what - some stupid test? If only Sean had not caught her as she was about to get the answers the previous day, nothing like this would've happened. Oh god, look at her, doing the right thing in the end. Earthies... they were obviously rubbing off on her...
Walking to the familiar, shallow fireplace, the girl took a seat on the couch. Actualy, she just dropped herself on it which resulted in a light bounce. Natt sat back and put her feet up on the table. Well, they didn't use this place that often anyway. And she had just gotten the shoes shipped here so obviously she wouldn't be able to get anything more filthy than it already had been. Come to think of it, she was dressed black today. Besides a few bits of jewlery she had nothing besides black. Oh, look, even her clothes told her this test would be terrible. Was it a sign saying 'Yep, you're screwed!'? Yes... yes, it probably was.
Giving a groan, the girl shut her gray eyes for a while. Her brows now portraying a light scowl, she let her hands fall to the sides. Why was it that she actually had to learn. What happened to the people who did these things for her? Oh right, she stopped paying them... You'd think others wouldn't mind doing something nice for her even though she doesn't ask for it. Well, someone normal. Natt didn't need people suffering from depression to tag along with her. The 'I'M ALWAYS HAPPY AND LUCKY!!' kind didn't really float her boat either... And actually, she was just tired. God, why did she get up this early, again? Nerves, was it?
"Man, what I'd give for a cup of coffee..." she gave out, more to herself than others. Yeah, that meant she should probably get up soon, no?

Today was the math test. Lissa didn't do well with math. She did well with art, and music, and some sciences pertaining to animals, but she didn't do well with math. Last time they'd had a big test she'd gotten a 40% on it. Forty. This realization, followed by a wish not to be held back this year, kept the girl up all night, cramming. She didn't understand any of it, especially as the hours wore on. By four in the morning she would see little diagrams and numbers and tangentials and the like wherever she looked, and she still didn't understand any of it.
Well, she was going to fail. But she might as well fail with a few hours of sleep under her belt. She got in her bed, but it was not meant to be. After another few hours of tossing and turning and frowning at the formulas which were swimming through her vision, she finally decided that the only way to calm down would be to get up and draw. With markers, preferably. So she got up, gathered her marker book and loads of sharpies, and carried them all in an unsteady load to a place of better lighting—the common room.
The little lightning girl stopped in the doorway to the girl's dorms, looking over the place for a good place to sit. Unfortunately, the thunders rarely had a fire going, and the storm clouds outside the tower blocked most of the light. But there was a single seat, past the fireplace, that was open and had a lamp next to it. So she started walking toward, thinking it as good as any place to draw.
Then, disaster struck.
She was distracted by the girl's words, both surprised and intrigued. She hadn't noticed that girl. Though she stumbled a bit, this was not irreparable. No, the bad part was when she looked at the girl, saw her face, and felt her own heat up in a blush. She stared a little bit too long, taken aback that she hadn't noticed the presence of Nataly, a fellow eleventh grade girl. She was so beautiful, and confident, and.... Lissa was distracted a little too long and ended up falling over right behind the sofa. Sharpies and notebook went everywhere, landing all over Lissa and—to her deep chagrin—Nataly.

Honestly, that couch was rather comfy, if she could say so herself. She could imagine herself falling asleep there. Too bad, there was a math test coming at her with a torch and a fork, obviously. Well, she had got some learning done. She'd probably end up with a 70%... Oh, but she could've gotten a sure hundred if it wasn't for the Earthie... Were they all so proper? Or was Sean just a special case? Oh lord, she could hear her father now, lecturing her about the pride of their family and how she had to be at the top of her class. God, this was going to be annoying.
A presence did catch her attention thou. Even if she didn't pay attention to the footsteps, she could tell when someone was looking at her. It just gave out a certain vibe, so to say. So, to see who the anxious thunder student was, she parted her lids and slowly looked up. Well, she found out who it was, but didn't expect the girl to fall over from it. As shocking as that was, it made her wonder if her gaze could really make people fall over. It would be sort of cool, wouldn't it?
When it began raining markers, Natt was, of course greeted by the notebook itself. Of course... Yet, it didn't hit her head as you'd expect in a cliche comedy. No, it landed in her lap. Of course, she was curious, but she should at least help the girl get up. Storm, wasn't it? Right, that chick hadn't really acted like a money-sucking, shallow bimbo, so Natalya felt it only polite to help her up. Besides it was too early in the morning to actually be mean. Because she was curious about that notebook.
Standing up, the girl went around the sofa which took about what - four steps? Fine, five because of heels. But when she did get around, she leaned down and extended her hand to help Lissa get up. "A little clumsy, aren't we?" she said with a light smirk. Well, sorry, it was rather funny. If you would've seen it from where Natt was sitting, you'd find it funny too, I bet.
"So, you shower everyone with markers or am I lucky?" she asked with a raised brow after the whole 'geting-up' thing was sorted. So yes, she teased a little. Hey, it was her nature.

Lissa felt like the lowest form of life on the planet at she immediately started spouting apologies and scrambling around on the common room floor for her sharpies. It was a little helter-skelter, though, with no real method or thought to how she was going to make sure she got them all and made this girl know she was sorry all without making herself look like even more of a ditz. However, she did freeze when Nataly stood over her, leaning down and extending her hand.
Lucky for her, there was already a blush on Lissa's face. She reached up after a second's hesitation and allowed the beautiful girl to help her to her feet, about half the markers in one of her hands. Sheepishly, she nodded, ”Yeah, I'm.... Yeah. Clumsy. I didn't get any sleep and just really wanted to relax and draw something before the stupid math test that I'm gonna fail. And I'm really, really sorry for all that.” About halfways through saying this she started looking around willy-nilly for her sketchbook, finally breathing a sigh of releif at the end of her tirade when she spotted it on the couch.
She stepped over and deposited the markers on top of the notebook. ”Um...I don't do that to many other people....” The little thunder was shy when she said that, but then a little humor escaped her. She still couldn't meet Natt's eyes without blushing a deep scarlet, but she could smile and laugh a bit, ”You are just so special that I really felt the need to do something dramatic!” At least when she was laughing at herself she wasn't constantly apologizing.
After a second of looking around at the mess, Lissa looked at Nataly and raised a hand to nervously rub her neck, ”Um, could you maybe help be find these massive amounts of markers on the floor. I really don't know why I brought so many, I just really like them, and I didn't think I was going to drop them everywhere....” A huffy little sigh came from across the room, where a rather moody thunder girl was glaring daggers at Lissa for making such a ruckus. Lissa laughed nervously, looking away immediately.

Quite something, wasn't she? Amusing, really. Natt did notice the blush but didn't go straight to assuming it had anything to do with her. She just figured the fall was important enough to get red about. But the right way to describe it would be 'sort of humiliating'. Really. But hey, many people got those moments from time to time. Why, Natt was sure she'd get one of those situations at least once in her life. Then again, she'd pretend like it was meant to be like that... Or would convince everyone that wasn't really the main event... which would call for something else to happen. But hey, when you could produce lightning, you could pretty much distract a lot of people by default.
She didn't expect that answer. She would expect someone to pout, huff, laugh, but to admit they were clumsy - it was amusing and sort of... well, obviously, unexpected. Tell you the truth, Natt as starting to get interested in the individual. She wasn't exactly normal, was she? But in that edgey, good way, you know? Not too bad. Ntt doubted it would be boring around the girl, by any case. And that response to her other question really made her laugh. Wow, a sense of humor there. Good. Good. "I see what you mean. But I think the fall was the most dramatic." Well, sorry but it was funny...
Talk about a love for markers. The girl arched a brow at the amount. Some on the couch, some still rolling around. Well, this was a mess. No really, seeing as the comon room was always neat and in tip-top shape, this looked like a hurricane had went over. And she already figured Mss. storm wished to draw. The note book and the markers would certainly not be for doing math homework. Or were they? Talking about math, Natt was actually happy she wasn't the only one who suffered because of the test. Yet she didn't really think, she'd fail. Then again, that exhausted... who knew? Oh, who was she kidding, no way she'd fail. "But I know what you mean about math... That thing is the reason I haven't slept aswell." she said, glancing to the side. Obviously, she was imaginating herself and a big bon-fire containing all the math books in the world. Yes, now that would really warm ones heart. "You know... Lissa, right? Well, you could sit with me and I'm sure you'd pass." Friendly? Yes. Arrogant? Well, of course! Indeed, she had that bad quality. Well, no one's that perfect. And with a heavy heart, she had to admit she wasn't, either.
Natt? Help pick up the markers? Well, it wasn't that big of a deal. Well, yes, she was tired, but company would beat sitting alone and groaning about coffee. "I think I can handle it." she said with a smirk and went on to gather the ones she could see. How many sould there be, really. Oh look, there's three already.

Lissa gave another little nervous trill, ”Aheh, yeah....” But she still smiled at the girl in front of her, still had her mind happily engaged on ten things at once as she looked about the room for her missing markers. She still couldn't calm the scarlet in her face, still couldn't stop herself from considering what a lovely specimen was next to her, but that was mostly shoved into the back of her mind as she crawled around to look under furniture and in nooks and crannies.
”Do you?” She asked, looking up at the other girl with a little bit of wonder in her eyes, ”I didn't think you were failing too! I mean, I don't know you at all, but you don't seem like the person to fail math. You're too studious and smart-looking. I don't do well with math, or most sciences, so I'm afraid I'll be held back this year....” Lissa stood up again, tossing three more markers into the pile on the couch. Her face brightened up into a beaming smile when Natt offered to help. Sort of. It was a confusing offer, but she was still glad the girl was trying to be nice. ”That's really nice! How are you going to help me in the middle of a test, though?” naïve little girl as she was, she didn't even consider the possibility of cheating.
Lissa was pleasantly surprised when the girl accepted her request. Naïve though she was, she knew a queen bee when she saw one. Nataly was nothing if she was not a queen bee, even in the thunder dorms. The red-haired girl beamed at Natt for an instance and then resumed her search. Though she had managed to spread her beloved tools of art far and wide, it was not too long before the two had every one of them piled on top of the notebook on the couch. Lissa ran a hand through her hair self-consciously, then said to Natt, ”Thank you. That would have taken me forever on my own, especially if I'd've dropped them again. I don't suppose I'll have time to draw anything today, though, cause that took awhile, and I don't like stopping things half-finished. Any idea what we could do to pass the time until the test?”
