Lately Levi felt as if things had become a bit problematic. Something wasn't right and he just couldn't put his finger on why. So in order to relieve his feelings, he grabbed his backpack and some of his pencils and headed out to the cliffs by the lake. Drawing was something relatively new to his arsenal but there wasn't really any place out here for him to skate. So as of lately, his board was sitting in his dorm room gathering dust and cobwebs. Levi shuddered. The thought of spiders made him feel a little queezy. But however he wasn't going to be stuck inside at this particular point of the day. Maybe he could talk his grandmother into getting him a snow board for his next birthday. A snowboard was better off for this place and particular time.
The snow was falling lightly, dusting the already white ground with another dusting of snow. Levi made sure to lace up his boots nice and tight this time. Last year he had gotten a bad bout of pneumonia after he fell in the lake. At least he didn't get hypothermia. He pulled his gloves on and drew his hoodie up tight around his ears. Now he was ready to get cracking. Levi hiked up the side of the cliff and sat down on a rock while the snow gently fell around him. It was serene and rather quiet, just what he needed after a day of terror and being tormented by some of the older kids. Sure he got picked on a lot, it was these times of the day that made everything worth while.
He put the pencil to paper and started to draw. Levi's mind wondered about to different things as he started to blend in colors of blues and purples. It was a beautiful sight that lay before him. What was his grandmother up to, he wondered. Maybe when he was done, he would send her this picture for her to frame and put on her wall. But even if he hated winter for the lack of life in the earth, this was rather picture-esque.

Humming to herself, Dani felt great being out alone. It was the weekend, so that meant no classes. She was glad that part of normalcy was here in Canada. She’s trying her best to get used to having school all year long. When she first found out, she nearly fainted. She didn’t think her brain could handle that much learning, but she guesses she has to in order to grow stronger.
Skipping to the song in her head, she wound up outside. Zipping her jacket and placing her gloves on, she decided to go exploring. Her and her foster care friends would play pretend explorer in the backyard of the place. They would scavenge for bugs, rocks, or old small toys they would find out there. The person who found the most would win. Thinking on that memory, she started to do the same out here. She looked behind trees and under rocks for something interesting, but all she found were pine cones. Gee, this would be a lot interesting if I had someone with me. She soon brushed that thought out of her head. How old was she, eight? Really, who was bored enough to play that? Obviously she was, but that didn’t stop her from continuing her search for “buried treasure.”
She soon came across a cliff and a smile grew on her face. This would make it a whole lot of fun. She climbed the cliff, pretending to struggle and pant, and she finally made it to the top. She found a stick and plucked off a leaf from one of those trees that doesn’t die in the winter, and stuck it on top of the stick. She smiled proudly at her little flag and pushed it into the ground, claiming that she was the first to discover this.
The snow added extra happiness to her mood. She twirled and pranced around like the ballerinas she would see on television. When she was younger, she always wanted to be a ballerina. She knew the dream would never happen, but she still continued to imagine her onstage, dancing in front of-
Snap. She tripped over a large stick and started tumbling down the hill. “Ooff” She landed hard against a tree and soon saw stars. “Owwie.” She rubbed the spot where she hit her head against the tree and felt a small bump. “Oh great.” She tried to stand up, but pain immediately shot through her foot. “Owwww!” She slumped back down and crossed her arms, wondering what she’ll do next.

A rather loud snap broke Levi's concentration. He blinked as he looked up and around. Then he spotted the source of the noise. Hastily, levi shoved his artwork back in his backpack and stood up. The snow crunched under his feet as he hurriedly chased after the falling girl. She hit a tree hard, it almost made Levi wince. Sometimes he could feel the pain of the plants as people hit them but this tree was so far into its winter slumber it felt nothing. So with the tree being alright next was to make sure the girl was fine.
"Wow quite a spill you took there." Levi said as he approached the girl. She had tried to stand up as he approached but it was to no avail. "Looks like a sprain." Levi muttered as he examined her foot. He couldn't place her name or face to anyone that he knew, but that wasn't a rare thing. Levi kept mostly to himself and only really knew those who were in his own dorm. He looked around to see if there possiably could have been someone else passing by but it seemed to be just the two of them.
"The name's Levi." He offered up to make some small talk. Levi was trying to figure out the best way to get this girl back into the school and where she could be treated for a sprain. Sure he had sprained many of his body parts from skateboarding mishaps, but he wasn't a doctor or anything. "I'm gonna take your shoe off and use my scarf to wrap it up until I can get you to th hospital wing ok?" Levi said as he blue eyes locked on to the girl.

Some guy came out of nowhere, she nearly had a heart attack at the unexpected person. She could have sworn she was alone. Oh boy…did he see me dancing? That would be embarrassing… She silently prayed that he didn’t, already humiliated that she fell to begin with.
She nodded in agreement with him. “Yeah, I uh…fell on a stick.” Wait, she didn’t want him to think she was a fragile girl. “It was a big stick. About the size of my arm.” There. Better. She wasn’t lying, that was a large stick. But if it was as large as she claimed, then why hadn’t she seen it then? She facepalmed herself for her brilliance as he announced that it was a sprain. “Oh great. First week of school and I already get hurt.” She crossed her arms and pouted with annoyance.
His name is Levi. She looked up at him and noticed him for the first time. She felt guilty; she was too busy focusing on her problems to notice someone helping her. “Thanks Levi. I’m Dani.” She nodded, allowing him to take off her shoe. She squinted her eyes together, bracing herself for the upcoming pain.

Levi gave Dani a half grin as she seemed to brace herself for the pain that was to come from him picking up her ankle. HE gingerly wrapped his black and neon green scarf around her ankle, tight but not too tight. She was a pretty girl but other then that, he didn't know too much about her.
Dani griped about it only being the first week of school and she was already getting hurt. "I know the feeling. I'm surprised that I haven't fallen off the cliffs yet. I'm such a clutz." Levi said with a grin. "I just don't get along well with gravity or ice for that matter." He added with an after thought. Even though he was a skater boy, he hated the fact he was always getting hurt over the dumbest thing. "I can pull off a kickflip, land perfectly, step off the skateboard and twist my ankle walking up the street." Levi gave a laugh.
Levi finished wrapping up Dani's ankle and gingerly sat it back down on top of her shoe. "A little bit of ice on and off for about fifteen minutes will help take the swelling down. Also soak it in some warm hot water before bed and it will relieve the muscle tension." Levi said in a knowledgeable voice. Yeah he really knew his sprains and breaks.

She winced, a little, when he wrapped his scarf around her ankle. He seemed like a nice boy, too nice to be part of the fire group. None of them would bother helping her out. In fact, they would probably laugh at her and leave her here until someone comes to help her. That might go the same way with the thunder kids. That leaves only water and earth. Which one was this guy?
“Mmm. You’re a clutz too huh? I wonder what would happen if two clutz are together. It might be catastrophic.” She laughed a little, momentarily forgetting the pain that’s throbbing through her leg. She laughed with him after his reply. She soon found out he was helping her take her mind out off of the pain. “Wow. That sounds sorta like me. Except the kickflips and stuff. I’d just trip over my own legs.” She then tilted her head t him curiously. “You skateboard? That’s cool. I knew some friends back where I grew up that could do that. I’ve always wanted to learn.” Maybe he would be nice enough to teach her… when her ankle heals and the snow is less…snowy.
“Ok. I’ll make sure to do that.” This guy must have been in a lot of accidents for him to know all of this. “So, what were you doing out here, Levi? Well, before I interrupted it.” She can feel her face redden again. This would definitely be the last time she danced around outside.
