It was rather amusing to Cynthia, walking around the shopping mall like any other person, wandering about as if she didn't have the means to stop a person's heart with a single touch. Literally. She watching people walking by, most of them not making eye contact, a few men of varying ages letting their eyes linger on different parts of her anatomy. It was just how it was, no matter where a person went. She'd found that even when men were trying their best to hide it, if they thought like that they looked like they thought like that. But Cyn didn't care all that much. Unlike most girls, she didn't worry about aggression. Anyone who wanted to touch her did so at their own risk.
The thunder leader was in a strapless dress, though it wasn't as formal as she could have dressed. Even with the cold weather, it was warm enough inside the mall for her to be comfortable like this. Unfortunately, not even the warmth and the presence of stores could redact the boredom that had come over her. No, not even reminiscing about the time she'd spent with Josh a few days ago. She was bored, in one of those moods where if she wasn't careful her mind would wander to the days and weeks she had spent with Mason, laughing and teaching him, and taking care of him. Even that day she'd run away with him....that day....
Cyn closed her eyes, bringing a hand to her face as she forced herself not to shed tears. No, not even a little watering of the eyes was acceptable. It took a few minutes, she was able to think about where she was going and turned her steps toward the food court. She wasn't all that hungry, but at least eating would take her mind off things. Lord, she needed a job. Something to take her mind off things in her downtime.
She started pulling static electricity toward her right arm, just for fun. Using her power was a sort of distraction, and feeling the warm buzz was another. She let the static run across her body a couple times, her eyes on her feet as she walked the mall she knew so well. Only that wasn't such a good idea. It wasn't long before she basically ran into someone, discharging the mild shock (still only static, so not enough to do any damage, though it would hurt) into them. Her eyes went wide, and she couldn't believe she'd made such an amateur mistake. ”I'm sorry.” She said, too quickly, hoping that whoever it was would take it as just a usual static shock.
