Nell filled to the brim with bad ideas. Perhaps that was a gross overstatement. She had good ideas. Plenty of them, being an innovative mind, a creative soul. Using her own body as a canvas to mark muscles and organs in studying for biology? Good idea. Trying to climb the shelves in Ikea? Bad idea. Horrible idea, in fact. But as she bounced on her heels, hands stuffed into the pockets of her threadbare coat, she had no reason to believe this would go wrong. She was smart, and she'd gotten away from it before. Hell, she had worked underage at the club when she first came to Corrosion. Maybe it made her cocky, but she believed she could sneak the high schooler in easily. It was only a matter of looks.
The Earth elemental? She got carded, even at twenty, because she didn't look twenty with her wide eyes and her full cheeks. Too innocent, too smiley and jokey to be of actual legal age. And she usually didn't dress the part of a club-goer. Jeans felt good, jeans were good to dance in. But luckily, the uniform she wore for her job at the casino helped in the whole maturity business, the tight skirt, the too-small top, the way it sparkled. She didn't like wearing it outside of her workplace, but she didn't want to get carded and have them do the same to Jas. If she wore the make-up, the clothes, it was easier to believe that she was her own age. She tried not to get down on herself, because well, her boobs weren't that small and at least she had an ass. Add in that she had a husband, and the ring on her finger labelled her as taken, in case anyone got the wrong idea with her outfit. She should be confident, but these things were small comforts, really, when she looked at other women her age and felt very intimidated.
Those women also stood outside waiting to be let in. They must have been freezing too, in their skirts and halter tops and she sympathized with them that night. "It's busy, so they're less likely to card people," she told Jas, leaning a little close so no one would hear. It wasn't some big secret that high school students could sneak in, but she didn't want to be too obvious. That would ruin everything. And the thrill of sneaking her friend in laced her veins with adrenaline. That's what happened whenever she did something bad. Not that it happened often, she could be described as a goody two-shoes, but her rap sheet spoke otherwise. She was a troublemaker without even knowing it. Just a girl who didn't think about consequences. However, she wanted Jas to know that she was actually safe in doing this with Nell. She had her stuff in order.
The line shifted forward. People moved as if one entity, hurrying in to the stifling warmth of the club. She flashed a smile at the bouncer as she walked past, tugging Jas along by the hand. The music was loud, bass line vibrating the soles of her feet, up her spine. It smelled like booze and sweat and this was her idea of a Friday night. There was no carding. No second glances. She looked at Jas, her smiled stretched wide over her face, eyes large. "We did it," she said, jumping a bit as she found a table and stripped off her jacket. Having to lean in close to be heard, she said in Jas' ear, "If you want something to drink, I can get it for you." Encouraging underage drinking? A bad idea. But Jas wasn't that young. And Nell would be a hypocrite if she didn't let her friend indulge. Thinking about it, she added, "Do you drink a lot?" It was actually a serious question, just in case Jas wanted to get too wild. She wanted to know what kind of weight she was dealing with before she allowed any buckwild fun.

A little fun can't hurt anybody. Jasmine was feeling a bit adventurous tonight as she let her earth elemental friend lead her to a club she'd only heard rumors about. It wasn't like Jas never did something out of the ordinary and adventurous every once in a while. Just she'd been cooped up in her parents' home almost everyday after she'd been released from the hospital and she was lucky enough if she'd find a little thrill at her parents' chocolate shop or at the academy. If it weren't for Nell's idea to sneak into a club, Jas would have died of boredom, stuck on her couch watching reruns. The girl needed some spark in her life and being stuck in a hospital bed for a few months pushed her to do more things she'd normally wouldn't. It made her apprieticate life more, one would say.
With no hesitation Jasmine agreed to go along with Nell's plan. Act right away and think about the consequences later. If we even get caught. Jas wanted to thank Nell for her 'brillant' idea, but decided to thank her after they had their fun. As they made their way closer to Corrosion, she questioned if she'd be able to get pass the bouncers she knew were standing at the entrance. Jasmine looked pretty decent with her curves and she knew in the back of her head she looked like the club-goer type. What she wore on a daily basis probably matched the standard club-goer's clothing, though tonight she decided to were some short black leggings and a Grey and black stripped off-shoulder top that hugged her upper body under her black Korean styled winter coat.
Jasmine nodded her head at Nell as she watched her friend lean in. "That's good," she responded more to herself than to Nell as she walked along. She took notice of the shivering women as they got closer, but didn't look too much in it. Hopefully there isn't any waiting involved... Jas's mind was too occupied with the chance of them having to wait long in line to enter the club than those other women waiting for entry. This was one thing she didn't think about on the way to the club that she suddenly wished she had thought of. If the line is too big and it takes too long I guess no clubbing for me. She frowned at that thought as they pushed themselves into the crowd of people and tried to get closer to the entrance.
Wow, it's pretty warm in here... With all the thinking she's been doing lately, Jasmine had forgotten it was cold outside and how cold it was, until Nell pulled her along passed the bouncer into the warm club. The music was loud and already Jas was enjoying herself. She liked the way the bass vibrated across the floor underneath her feet and hit against the walls, then came bouncing back off the walls hitting her body hard like the ocean waves up against a large rock standing a few feet out of the salted water. It was an odd feeling at first, how the beat pounded through her body and danced along with her beating heart, but like drugs on a first timer she became instantly addicted. She smiled at herself even though the smell of drugs and sweat hit her hard shortly after. She was mainly smiling because she was enjoying the music, but when she noticed Nell flashed her a smile she realized they'd made it in. The words floated around in her head before they came out of her friend's mouth and she felt like she high. You know, that feeling you get when you feel like you're dreaming and you're wondering if you're dreaming when you know everything happening is real.
Pulling her coat off her back, Jasmine placed it on the chair at the table Nell had found vacant for the two of them. She looked at the earth elemental with her eyebrows shot up as she was asked if she'd wanted something to drink. At first she thought Nell was talking about a regular drink, but then she realized she'd meant a drink involving alcohol. "Do I want something to drink? Sure. I'll take anything, but not too much liquor," she replied, leaning over just as her friend did just moments ago so she could be heard over the music,"I've tried beer before...once. So, I guess that's a no..." Jasmine tried beer on a dare in ninth grade, but she'd never drunk alcohol willingly. Since she was doing things she normally wouldn't, she decided to try the big stuff. Liquor. Her parents would ground her if they knew what she was doing, but the thought that they'd disapprove made her even more excited to try it. What could possibly go wrong?

Clubbing had been a more common hobby in high school for Nell, ironically when it had been illegal. No one knew it had been illegal -- she'd faked her identity for over a year, and along with that her age. Back then she didn't have as many responsibilities as she did now. Then she had still felt like a teenager, she had more free time to spend with her friends. It had been fun for her, and so she wanted Jas to have the same kind of fun. Live up the teen years. Go wild. Do stupid things. Life was too short, and you were only young for so long. Nell wished she had had more good experiences to speak about in her early teen years, but she coped with her regrets by giving people experiences she would have wanted.
Once in, the sound of the music all-consuming and coming over, she rolled her hips easily to the music. Dancing was in her blood, and she seemed dreamy as she nodded at Jasmine's words. "It's probably for the best," Nell said. "I'll go get something light. Stay here so I don't lose you in the sea." She waved her arms around before making her way to the bar, hoping she wouldn't attract attention for being a single lady. She didn't like being alone, so when she got carded after asking for two beer, she hurried back to Jasmine and placed the second bottle in her hand. And it wasn't too hard, dancing with a bottle in one hand. She made sure to stick around Jasmine, since this was the first time and she didn't want the younger Water girl to be carried away by the crowd. It could get hectic, and it was already hot enough, sweaty bodies grinding against each other, beyond the point of buzzed that she was starting to get. She couldn't help it, being a lightweight, which was why she didn't hit the hard liquor and would keep it to just one bottle.
After a while, though, she'd begun to feel claustrophobic. It usually didn't act up in situations like this, but close quarters can have a profound effect on her. If she felt like she wasn't getting enough air, if she felt like she might panic, then she knew she only had the claustrophobia to blame. She could handle herself for a while if she just didn't think about it. Thought of the music. The way her body moved, the way the music moved it for her. She could lose herself for a few moments, an unfamiliar beat under her toes. But after opening her eyes, she realized just how many people were around, pressing in on her. She looked around to find a route, an easy escape to take her away from this. She couldn't find one immediately.
Nell shifted toward Jas, one arm curling around hers as she leaned in. "I need to head outside, come with?" She knew the girl of all people would understand just what it was like. They first met when she'd been locked in a closet. And oftentimes, claustrophobia can extend from that kind of thing, from just closed spaces. She got nervous even with closed doors, so she much preferred being outdoors. And that would be the solution now. She squeezed her way through the crowd, beer bottle still in hand, and exited the club. A cool breeze brushed against her skin, flushed and heated with exertion. No more bodies. No sweat, some of her not even her own. It was enough to gross her out if she thought about it, so she didn't.
Nell slid down the wall, taking a swig from the beer. The lack of coat, any warmth, didn't bother her at this point. "Sorry, it was getting way to sweaty and wild," she said, an easy laugh in her voice. Breath flowed out in a visible cloud, evidence of the chill. The line had shortened since they'd first gone in, a few people straggling outside. Some people smoking. She pushed her bangs out of her face with the back of her hand. "You enjoying yourself at least?" she asked kindly, smiling up at Jasmine. That's why she was doing this, after all. Hopefully she didn't cause much of a dent in the night by needing a break.

Wasn't planning on going anywhere but maybe the dance floor... Jasmine watched her earth elemental friend walk away to grab some drinks until she disappeared behind the many people in the club, before looking at the dance floor. She wanted so badly to get up and start dancing. Jas wasn't a bad dancer and the beat was just calling her out. Even though Nell said she didn't want to lose her in the sea of people that's exactly what she wanted to do. She wanted to enjoy herself and get lost within the crowd. She wanted to lose herself and just forget any sorrows or regrets that might be clinging to her. Who wouldn't? Isn't that why people come to clubs? To enjoy themselves and just lose themselves within crowds? Jasmine had to fight the urge to make her way over to the dance floor by holding tightly onto her chair. "Cmon! I wanna dance!" she whined more to herself than anyone else.
Once she noticed Nell coming back with the bottles of beer, she quickly jumped up and grabbed hers. In just a couple of gulps, she finished her bottle and set it on the table. This water elemental was ready to dance and she wasn't planning on carrying a bottle of beer in her hand while she was doing it. Quickly, she threw herself into the crowd of people and danced against the first guy she came in contact with. Jasmine has been to parties similar to the club but nothing like this before. In seven minutes tops she started feeling sweating. She guessed part of the reason had to do with the beer she drunk. She wasn't an expert when it came to medical things, but she was sure drinking alcohol was making her sweat even more. There were a lot of people bumping shoulders with her and she'd almost forgot she came with Nell. After looking around for a moment she finally spotted Nell. I wonder how she's holding up.
When Nell asked if Jasmine wanted to come with her outside, she felt so relieved. She quickly nodded her head and followed the earth elemental through the crowd and out the club. Never in her life would she have thought she'd start getting claustrophobic in a club. Probably too many people bunched up together. A lot of people in one space can create a closet like scenario. Good thing she brought me out here with her... Jasmine let out a gasp as the same cool breeze brushed up against her. It felt good but only for a few moments until her body quickly changed temperatures. She hugged herself as she watched Nell slid down the wall. "You know we're going to probably catch a cold out here?" she asked, planting her behind beside her friend. Jasmine scrunched up her face. Lately she's been talking or thinking about things that are studied in the medical field. Maybe she spent to much time around nurses while she was in the hospital or just too much time with Joshua but even when she was around him they never really talked about that kind of stuff. Odd....
Jasmine took a deep sigh and smiled. "Don't be sorry. It was starting to get a little too sweaty and too wild so I can understand your motives," she replied before linking her arm around Nell's. Jas slowly nodded before bursting out laughing. "Are you kidding me!? This is the best night of my life!!! Of course I'm enjoying myself. You're my first friend that could sneak me into a club and buy me beer in the same day! Now! I want another beer. Pleeeaase hehe,"

Nell quirked a half-smile as she saw Jasmine hold herself for warmth. She did feel bad for dragging her out here. Usually she'd have felt the cold herself, but she felt a little bit distressed and that was currently on the forefront of her mind. "Don't worry, you won't catch a cold out here." The only reason people thought that was because people tended to huddle together closer in the cold weather, and thus passed the virus on more easily. "But do you feel all right?" Her eyebrows furrowed. She didn't want her friend to be freezing her ass off just because Nell had issues.
Unfortunately, Nell was always sorry. Even if she didn't feel that remorseful, she apologized. But she felt pretty damn successful when her friend said that she'd been enjoying herself, saying it was the best night ever. Actually, she laughed, and slid back up the wall so she could stand. "All right, then, let's get you that beer," she said in a melodic and smooth voice, taking a sip of her own and sashaying her hips as she headed back toward the bouncer.
The downside: there wasn't a lot of people waiting. Which meant he could pay attention, and that also meant that he noticed the two young girls trying to re-enter. "We just came out for some air," Nell told him as he stopped the two, keeping calm despite the situation. She was very good at that. "Can I see your ID?" he asked of Jasmine, and that's when she began to sweat. The thing was she didn't have an ID, not even a fake one, because Nell sneaked her in all on her own. She shot a glance over to her friend before shaking in. "We already went in though," she said, motioning with her hand.
The bouncer shook his head, and it was clear they were going in. Nell looked at Jas with an apologetic look, before pulling her aside and telling her, "Ugh, I'm so sorry completely forgot the line would clear up," she said a little under her breath. It didn't feel like a crime until she got in trouble for it. "All right, what do you say we have a party back at my house, huh?" In a mansion, it was easy to believe that anything could be a mansion. And she wanted a way to make up for Jas. And for her embarrassing herself. Even Nell had pride.

Giving Nell a small smile, Jasmine nodded her head. "I'm completely fine. A little cold, but there's nothing to worry about." Jasmine had endured worst so she could handle a little bit of coldness, but it didn't keep her from shivering. She huddled closer to Nell for warmth. She succeeded in warming herself up by a degree or two as she pulled her knees up to her chest. Truly she'd been in worst situations like when they'd first met. Jasmine thought she'd died in the closet as Nell came to her rescue. Her cheeks turned a pinkish color as she began to replay the events of their first time running into each other. Now looking back, she thought she looked pretty stupid and dumb. She felt embarrassed of how she acted.
Silently, Jasmine watched the earth elemental stand up after laughing. What's so funny? Jas didn't seem to comprehend why Nell suddenly laughed, but she hoped she wasn't laughing intentionally at her. Something inside Jasmine started to boil up. She better not be laughing at me! It hadn't dawned on her that Nell might have laughed because of her response. That she was having the time of her life. Jas instantly cooled down when Nell mentioned getting another beer. Even though she'd drunk the bottle in a few gulps, she liked the way it tasted. The next time around she wanted to take her time drinking it. She wasn't going to rush drinking the beer since there wasn't anything making her want to rush. As she stood up, she watched Nell head towards the bouncer. Quickly, she followed.
Nervousness started to form deep inside Jasmine as she stood beside Nell as the bouncer wouldn't allow them entrance. Aw crap...He isn't going to let us in...Well, Nell can get in, but I'll have to stay out here. Jas frowned at that thought and watched Nell talk to the big buy. Her heart started pounded hard when the bouncer asked her for her ID. Life is no longer fair.... The water elemental noticed her friend look over at her and she prayed she'd be able to fool the guy or whatever she could do to convince the bouncer she was old enough to get back into the club. She let out a big sigh of relief when Nell spoke up and the bouncer let them through. "No worries. As long as you could get me a beer I'd be alright," she said with a smile as Nell apologized. Honestly, besides retrieving her coat, getting another beer was the only reason why she'd wanted to get back into the club. If she had to, she'd wait outside for Nell to come back with her coat and bottle of beer.
Jasmine's eyebrows shoot right up when Nell suggested they have a party at the mansion. "Um....Sure. Though won't Joshua get mad or something? I don't want to have you throw a party and he gets all mad 'cause you threw one..." All in all, Nell was Jas's friend and she didn't want Nell to get in any kind of trouble. Remembering which table she'd left her coat at, she made her way to the still vacant table and threw it on. Got my coat, now I need my beer.

If Josh was used to anything, it should have been his wife's spontaneity. That is, if anyone could get used to something like that. Nell didn't like to speak for her husband, but she was pretty sure that Josh wouldn't mind. She waved her hand. "I'm sure as long as we don't destroy the place, he'll be chill with it," she assured Jasmine. The couple were extremely laidback and casual, which made their relationship easy to maintain. They didn't get into petty arguments that some others would. She believed she was lucky in that case. She didn't a lot of things she felt like people wouldn't be able to tolerate. It always made her warm and fuzzy to think of, and while it used to confuse her (what did he even see in her anyway?) she accepted it with her own love.
She went in to get Jas' stuff for her, walking quickly to the exit and linking her arm with Jas's as she headed back to the car. Her brand spanking new Pontiac looked pretty in purple even in moonlight. "You should call some people over, see if anyone wants to hang out." In Nell's world, the more was the merrier. It was short notice but it was a pretty long drive to the mansion. Made even longer when she stopped to buy a six-pack which she placed on the passenger side floor since she didn't have a backseat.
When she got home she pulled into the garage and locked up, entering the mansion through the side door. Placing the case on the coffee table once in the house, she knelt down in front of the stereo system and said, "Now, for some music." She blasted the first thing that came on, almost to the same decibel that the club had been playing music, bass thumping through the floor. "No angry neighbors either," she told Jas. "Knox's house is like....waaayyy down." She waved her hand to the side to demonstrate that, before heading over to the dimmer to lower the lights. "No one will even hear." There were tons of benefits to living in a mansion. One of them was living in a freaking mansion. Another would be the space they had, the acres of property they owned. Sometimes Nell forgot just how much room there was until she had a party like this.
Which reminded her. A few minutes after jumping on the couch -- without shoes of course -- she asked Jas, "Hey, did anyone say that they were gonna come?" mid-jump, hair almost falling out of the bun. She could set out some food and maybe find the electric disco ball she'd bought from an infomercial that actually came in handy. Better than a lot of her other infomercial purchases. Though most of them involved, food. She continued to jump and spin around on the couch, even still energized.

If Nell said it was alright to party then by God Jasmine thought everything was good in the hood and it was alright to party. Nell had that effect on the water elemental. Maybe that's because the first time they'd met, she thought she was dead and Nell was an...angel? Any who, ever since the janitor's closet situation, Jasmine always thought it was better for her to just go along with whatever Nell said. Even if the earth elemental decided they should go swimming with blood thirsty sharks. Jasmine would have been right there behind her. Sometimes Jasmine wondered what in the world Nell was getting them into, but quickly brushed the thought away, trusting her older friend.
Destroying the nice mansion = a really pissed off Joshua, I think I got it. Jasmine nodded her head at Nell, instantly believing every word that came out the earth elemental's mouth. "If you say so, then I guess it's alright and Joshua won't be mad." The seventeen year old might have seemed like a little kid going along with whatever Nell said, but she really did trust Nell. She might get frustrated at times, but her loyalty does lie upon the earth graduate. Jasmine was filled with mini joy as they quickly gathered their things. She didn't know the crime rates at this club, but she'd hoped there weren't any coat thieves lying around, you never know. She was happy to find her winter coat untouched as she threw it around her shoulders.
Jasmine followed Nell quickly to the exit happily with another bottle of beer finally in her hands. Finally you are mine again! As they walked the distance back to Nell's car, Jasmine took a sip or two from the bottle. Nothings better than beer in the cold, eh? Jas stared at the car and smiled. "That's a really pretty pink..I mean purple," Jasmine giggled to herself and smiled shyly as she felt embarrassed that she called the car pink when obviously it was purple. Shaking her head at herself, Jasmine responded,"Sure! Just let me get my phone out..." The water elemental hopped into the passenger's seat and quickly searched for her cell phone. It didn't take long for her to find it and start texting away.
Jasmine frowned when she opened the car door to get out. Even though they were in the safety of the garage, that didn't keep the coldness from hitting her like a brick of ice. Jas followed right behind Nell as she entered the mansion. She had to stop herself before she ran right into her as the earth elemental knelt down. Jasmine couldn't stop from feeling like a lost puppy following a random stranger to their home as she stared down at Nell. She'd been just really following Nell wherever she went all night long. Literally following her everywhere, which explains why she almost ran into her. Brown eyebrows shot up when Nell mentioned music and she quietly nodded. "Yeah. Music is good..."
Because she lived up in the upper-class residence just like Nell and Joshua, she knew what it was like to have privacy or things like that. She always thought of it as a curse and a blessing. Remind you she'd been locked in a closet and it took a while till someone noticed....When Nell brought it up, she simply nodded. "That's the good thing about mansions. You don't have to be bothered by neighbors...Knox?" One of her eyebrows raised as she looked questioningly at the earth elemental. Who in the world is this Knox person? Jasmine wasn't sure if she knew this person or not, but since she wasn't the best with names she'd have to see their face to recognize them. While the water elemental was busy trying to remember a Knox, she almost didn't hear Nell mention no one could hear. She nodded her head to show she was agreeing with her statement.
The water elemental sighed and finally gave up trying to remember if she knew anyone with the name Knox, whether first, middle, or last. She looked at Nell as she jumped at the couch before she decided to join her. She quietly sat down next to Nell and shook her head violently. "Nope. My phone hasn't rang or vibrated. Have you tried to reach any of your friends?"

Nell liked to think she could be trusted. Especially since she meant no foul intent toward Jas and wouldn't lie to her. If things went wrong, then she'd be explaining to Josh. And she would tell him about it, because she liked him to know what went on in their house. She couldn't imagine how their relationship would be if she kept a lot of secrets. She did that once, and it ended up for the worst. Now she wanted him to know everything. Luckily, Jasmine and Josh were friends too. The couple shared the same circle, as most couples did.
She grinned with pride at Jasmine's compliment. "Next time I might build a pink car," she told the girl when she at first mistakenly called it pink. She didn't even care about little mistakes like that. "Though I have no idea what car I want to do next. I'll just have to make a giant wheel of fortune to choose." If she even had time for a project like that. She was thinking of an Impala but maybe she could do a foreign one. Her thing for cars wasn't something usually known about with people except when they were friends.
For a while Nell had been uncomfortable in her own home, like she was treading through a place filled with strewn glass. It was Josh's home, and even though they'd been engaged, she'd been so nervous. But like everything with her, it had just taken time to ease in.
She nodded her head at the girl's question. She had to speak over the music now, but it was worth it. "Next door neighbor. Earth grad. I would invite him, but it's not his scene." Knox wasn't a party kind of guy, and she imagined it would be nerve-wracking should other people arrive. "He's a nice kid, though, I should introduce you too!" Maybe it was a bad idea, considering Knox's shyness, but she liked introducing her friends and having them network and just socializing. It was hard to imagine any other way.
The older girl dropped down when Jas sat, and said that she didn't have anyone text her back. "Nope, which means--" she took her phone out from her back pocket, "That it's mass-text time." She'd have to specifically choose who she wanted to see it, because she would not want to invite her father. "I'm sure a lot of people will free. And they can text you back too." She could practically guarantee that.
"In the mean time, you can help me get some stuff together." She lead Jasmine out into the kitchen and started hunting through things to find junk food. She made a pile on the kitchen island, taking the whip cream out and pushing the nozzle down as she held it above her mouth to test it. When the fluffy white stuff came out, she swallowed and shook it again before pressing the nozzle over Jas' nose and grinning.
Her phone buzzed in her pocket before she could do anything else, and she saw that a few people had replied. "We've got guests. You ready for a parttyyyyyy!" She threw her arms up and spun around, energy at full blast. It would only be a matter of time before people started arriving. Though a two person party could be just as well.

Jasmine never was the one to fancy cars. It's true she liked the fast sports cars with purple or orange or pink coating, but she doesn't know the names of the brands or any of the specifics, like how fast it can go in an hour or how much gas it can hold. As long as the car is fast and bright, this water elemental had no problems with it. When Nell mentioned she might have been interested in buying a pink car, Jasmine only nodded. Being rude isn't something she liked and honestly chatting about cars wasn't something she fancied. Telling the earth graduate that buying a pink car was cool, seemed like a lie to Jas, and she believed Nell deserved more than a lie. Well, it wouldn't be a lie since she like pink cars herself, but it just seemed like one to her because she may appear to be interested in the car topic, if not already believed to be. She didn't want Nell to get the wrong idea that she actually was interested in cars when she really wasn't. The whole matter would be different if a guy she liked was involved.
Jasmine let Nell go on about her next car in silence. It was probably for the best. In the water elemental's defense, anyways. Nell hit an interest in Jasmine as she went on about her neighbor. Hm. I really wonder if I know him or not... "Not his scene? Oh, I understand," she added in a light tone. A bit of curiosity lingered. Earth elementals were known as the keepers of peace, so she understood why this Knox person might have passed on the little party they were trying to raise, but it still left her curious. Nell wasn't a normal Earth elemental with all the parties Jas could imagine her attending, but she's still an Earth elemental. A bit judgmental, Jasmine expected any of Nell's neighbors to be partiers no matter the elemental.
"Yes, yes! You must introduce me to him some day," Jasmine said with a smile. Besides Jas's curiosity to meet the Earth graduate and her excitement of meeting someone new and possibly becoming their friend, she was a centimeter excited that this Knox guy was going to be her new crush. A girl's got to dream, right? If he was single, she'd only have another year of the Academy to go before she'd graduate, if she makes it through this year, so it'd be okay if they'd date, right? Jasmine's mind started to go into la la mode, until she stopped herself. More like Nell stopped her. When the Earth elemental claimed that no one got back to her, Jas only sighed. It was worth a shot, I guess. Mass-text time? That could work...
Jasmine took Nell's advice about the mass-text and started texting all her friends. After mass-text, Jasmine stood up and followed her friend into the kitchen. "Alright," she replied, looking around the interior. She was token by surprised after Nell made a pile on the island, tested the whipped cream, then put some on her nose. "Oh!" In a matter of seconds, Jasmine was filled with laughter. Nell, you really are something. I can see why Josh fell so deep in love with you. Jasmine was wiping the whipped cream off her nose when Nell's phone buzzed. "Woo! Party? Hell yeah!" she replied, still laughing. Her eyes glued on the Earth elemental as she spun around.

Once people started to arrive, the party really got bumping. It was a great reprieve from the usual business that filled her life, a break. She rarely got to party anymore, not that she had been big on it before. Nell had always been the responsible one, the girl to go to when you needed a ride home. She rarely got drunk, knowing that she tended to overestimate herself. And bad things happened when she got drunk. In the words of Mike Tyson, "We all do dumb shit when we're fucked up." However, it seemed like an okay idea to drink in her own home. She didn't want to get hammered considering she had to look out for people, make sure they behaved. But that was only a minor inconvenience.
Nell had gotten a few people to bring some six packs and plastic cups, considering she had neither. She needlessly reimbursed them, and walked away when they tried to get her to take the money back. She hadn't abandoned all her stubborn ways, even though she had gotten mostly better with the whole money thing. Carrying a few of the cases into the kitchen, she placed them on the island and brushed strands of hair out of the way. She went over to get a bottle opener from the drawer in time to see someone try to crack the cap off with the kitchen counter. "Yo, my man, try this," she said, dangling the little device in front of her face. She was not going to ruin the counters because someone couldn't wait to drink their beer. She was amazed by the people who could crack them off with their own hands.
Making a few rounds, she went back to the kitchen to find people lining up around the island. "What are we playing?" she asked, assuming this was a game considering their synchronized action. "Flip cup," was the response and she was immediately in. Nell went to look for Jasmine, pulling her into the kitchen and telling her, "You're on my team. We're playing flip cup. You know how to play right?" She couldn't be sure, but if not the game was really simple and easy. It just required a lot of beer, which everyone was currently filling their cups with.

The night seemed to be going fairly well according to Jasmine. Everything she had thought possible to go wrong tonight, had turned out alright. The entrance to the club, the beers, everything. The water elemental's heart beat rapidly as she half-expected the bouncer to not allow her entry back into Club Corrosion. Though she had her doubts and was shocked that Nell found her a loophole, she thought some fight would break out. The big guy would continue to reject her entry while Nell would fight for it. Sooner or later, if he hadn't given in, a fight most likely would have broken out between her, her friend, and the bouncer. There seemed to be only one thing that surprised Jas more than Nell's ability to persuade the man standing in the way of her next bottle of beer, and that was the fact that they were heading back to the earth elemental's place to host a party. Another thing she can cross off her bucket list. Going to a club then leaving and starting your own party.
Jasmine, being the judgmental person she is, was completely baffled when she saw the people piling into the manor. She knew Nell wasn't a nobody and she probably had a bunch of friends, but she hadn't believed she had as many party friends as she did. Nell was suppose to be an earth elemental for pete sake. Being married to someone who also partied or used to, Jas somehow put pieces of a puzzle together and figured they shared party friends. No way the girl had this many friends. Jasmine had lost count counting them as she watched one after another walk into the house, some with packs of beers. Definitely got to get myself some cans... Her eyes seemed to stayed glued on the beer as she watched them being carried away in the direction of the kitchen. Her body wanted badly to follow after the alcohol, but she resisted and stayed put in the living room.
Letting the beat take over her body, Jasmine started dancing. She lost her sense of caring as the beer from early settled down in the pit of her stomach, and she didn't give two shits if anyone joined in around her. Her body felt a little tingly and she shook the feeling off as a crowd slowly formed around her. That feeling of unreal fell down upon her and the corners of her mouth came up into a grin. Never had she felt this way in her life, but she liked the feeling. Everything going on around her felt like a dream because she thought she was having too much fun. Whether everything was really happening or not, she didn't care. Who would? You just want it to go on and on and just wish you'd never wake up. By this time, her brown eyes were buried under her eyelids and she started dance to her own music. She seemed to be in her own world, but was quickly awakened when she was suddenly dragged to the kitchen.
On a sigh, Jasmine followed Nell through her house and to the kitchen. Whatever was going on, it had to be important, or Nell wouldn't have dragged her in here. At least it had to be something fun...Wasn't that the whole purpose tonight? For Jasmine to enjoy herself and wouldn't flip cup do the trick? "Flip cup? I never heard of that.." she replied in a small voice, looking at the people lined up around the island. "I'm on your team? Great!" Jasmine smiled at Nell and the people around them. "Just for the record, I'm pretty sure Nell's a pro at this, so we're going to kick all your asses." [It's way past my bedtime LOL just kidding, but seriously I'm normally asleep 60% of the time by now. Sorry if I sound all over the place and hope you enjoy.]

Any game out there, and Nell knew of it. Except that it was a lie, and she only knew of the ones she'd come in contact with through her parents or the people she met. She'd learned Rummy from her father, chess from her mother, poker from a drifter, and the rest from parties like this. Mostly drinking games, asshole and beer pong and things that she could even enjoy without all the booze.
When she brought Jas over to participate in the game, she grinned when the young girl explained that she had never even heard of it, let alone played. "Well now it is the time to educate," Nell said cheerfully. When she called out the people on the opposite side of the table, Nell grinned at their "boo"s. Nell was busy basking in the praise of her friend. "Don't hate because you ain't fly as me," she advised. Putting her at the table, however was the best way to get her competitive spirit going. Good-natured competitiveness, of course, she never meant ill will toward anyone.
"The person at the end of the table..." Nell leaned over and pointed at the chick who "headed" the team on their side, "starts first. The object is to chug the drink and flip the cup over with the tip of your finger. The first team to get to the end of the table wins." The rules were straightforward and simple, much easier than explaining something like asshole. Nell would have done it, though, not wanting Jas to be left out. The entire party was for her, after all! Of course, Nell enjoyed seeing people she normally wouldn't have gotten to, and it was a much better environment than a club.
The table started and once the line reached Nell, she chugged down the beer, placed the cup on her finger and flicked it, the cup landing upside down on top of the table. At the same time, the person across from Jas chugged his drink. However he didn't drink all of it, and when he tried to flip it, the quarter left splashed across the table. Nell lifted her hand to defend herself from the wayward beer, but she had a feeling that Jas would get the worse of it.

Over the past few months that Jasmine had spent with Nell, she's learned that there are time when you have to cry, scream, yell, and there are a hell lot of time when you just need to stop and laugh your ass off. This was one of those laughing moments. Being intoxicated is one thing, but being intoxicated at a party thrown for your own expense is another thing, and being intoxicated and attempting to play a game you'd never played before even sober, is a whole different situation. Almost everything she did or what anyone else did around her seemed up right hilarious. When Nell claimed she was fly, this girl was chuckling away. "Yup! Don't hate 'cause she so fly! Ha ha." The water elemental was too drunk to exactly follow Nell's instructions and explanation of the rules, but after watching the people before her, she got the main idea of it.
While the game began, she couldn't exactly explain how a beer can ended up in her hand, but it did and she started to chug away. She had a few sips left in the can when it reached Nell's turn. She sure was a fast drinker when it came to alcohol. Brown eyes grew wide as she watched Nell do her thing. Wow, you look like a pro at this. I knew I picked the right team! Well... Before she knew it, it was her turn. Her hand reached for the cup of beer and that's when it hit her. "Aw sweet peas!" If she'd been more sober, her reflexes would have kicked in faster, but they weren't and her clothes got soaked by beer. She stared down at her clothes and made a face before looking up at her opponent who'd caused the sticky mess. "I don't have any extra clothes... so I'm stuck in this..."
Jasmine glanced at Nell before she found a path out of the kitchen and to the closest bathroom. "I'm going to the bathroom..." she said on her way out. She was too intoxicated to feel embarrassed, but she was hit with a small pain that her clothes got ruined, and she was stuck in them. Pulling her phone out, she was surprised it hadn't got wet, and she dailed her mother's cell phone number. "Hey, Mom. I'm at Josh and Nell's place...We're having a party and I was playing a game and got beer all over my shirt. Can you bring me another shirt and a pair of pants? Don't worry, I haven't had unprotected sex tonight. Not yet anyways, bye Mom." she hung up on her mother.
[Sorry if it's all over. It's really late.]

The beer Nell chugged in the game had to be the first in months. She didn't drink very often. and when she did she thought of just how many empty calories she was consuming. Health would always be of the utmost importance to her, especially when it came to other people. The Earth grad would be making sure everyone in the house wouldn't be driving home. In any case, though she could be considered a lightweight, she had skills in faking sobriety which wouldn't prove to be helpful in a game that was all about speed. Speed and teamwork, which they had under their belt as they moved down the table's line.
There was a mishap with the fallen cup, however, and Nell felt her motherly instincts take over and want to care for Jasmine, who now had a very unclean shirt. "You can go out," Nell said, patting her friend on the back, as they continued to move down the line. At her friend's exclamation, she didn't have to think. "You can borrow something of mine. Third floor." The room that wasn't attached to the library, so she figured it wouldn't be too hard to find, even though it was a mansion. Nell still got lost from time to time, because her husband still owed her a map.
While Jas went to the bathroom, a series of events led to Nell pulling out the karaoke machine she had bought at a yard sale (the best place to shop, in her opinion). Plugging it in to the television, she took the microphone and took her position on the couch. Shes off, of course, as she balanced herself on the cushions. The liquid courage allowed her to choose Barracuda off the list and sing it at the top of her lungs, laughing when she messed up on some of the words. "Aren't you, Barracuda?" her song resounded through the room with a crowd of people gathered around to await their turn with the machine. Alcohol was good for a few things, at least, for Nell it was baking and having the courage to embarrass herself in front of a crowd.
