HISTORY Alis was born on August third, to Lucas and Isabella Thomas. Both her parents were earth elementals. Her father spent much of his time showing her various plants and helping her to understand nature, believing her to be an earth elemental as well. Even as a young child, the girl much preferred to be outdoors than indoors, though whenever there was a storm, she could be found hiding in a corner, under a blanket, shivering and singing songs until she couldn't hear the thunder anymore. Her parents would always find her and hold her close though, trying to keep her calm. Alis was always very close with her family.
A few months before her seventh birthday, her younger brother, Noah was born. She attended a regular elementary school, with students who were not elementals. Alis had made a few very close friends, and was kind to everyone. Whenever her classmates began to fight, she played the mediator and helped them work things out. Due to this, she was a teacher's favorite student, always working out people's problems for them. However, when someone pushes her past her limit (which is pretty high), she blows up and can be a very irritable person. Her irritable self never lasted very long in school, but it did cause others to look at her different. She was very good with her academics, but that came about with her constantly sleeping in class as well.
Noah, on the other hand, was always keeping her in line whenever her temper somehow found its way out of her. He had the 'magic touch' and could always bring her down from a high. When they found out her father had late-stage cancer, she was very irritable from the start. As Alis is a very anxious and nervous girl, she took the worry that came from her father's diagnosis and channeled it into being bossy around the house. Most of the plants she and her father cared for began to wither away and die. Her younger brother was the one who was able to stop her and convince her that what she was doing was wrong and she should not use her anger as a way to vent her worry over her father. However, after finally calming herself down and trying to fix her plants, she realized that something was different. This was when her abilities started to come out. The plants that had died came back to life, slowly but with every touch they seemed to get better. After talking with her mother, she learned that this was her power, she was an earth elemental as well.
After that, she visited her father on an almost daily basis, until he started to get worse. They couldn't see him if they were sick as they could infect him and cause him to die faster. It was after getting over a nasty cold prior to her birthday that brought about a visit to him on her birthday once she was better. However, a few weeks later, he passed away. At first, she felt as though he was still there, though at the funeral, watching him be placed into the ground, she felt the full brunt of her loss. Instead of getting angry this time though, she just felt very depressed and most of the plants she took care of every day began to die as well from lack of care. Shortly before leaving for the academy of the elements, she started to get over her loss but she also began to fear losing the rest of her family.

SECRET WORD Correct
RP SAMPLE (from another site)Jonas was constantly watching Olivia's face, searching for a reaction to his words that he could play off of. He was feeling slightly guilty for everything he was saying though he was only speaking the truth, whatever words flowed off his tongue without him thinking them through at all. The conversation was getting to be quite intriguing, with the back and forth nature of compliments and serious conversation. He was wondering just how she was doing. Nearly as soon as he had called her perfect, he watched her face grow to be a deep pink, one that brought a slight smile to his face. Had he embarrassed her too much? Complimented her so much that he had already crossed that line of too much flattery? He figured he should try to stop himself, just a bit, though it was hard to do so when he was enjoying this more than food. As much as he felt guilty for flirting with a girl that wasn't Isadora, he was wondering if he would feel just the same around Olivia.
All the emotions Jonas had never quite had at Durmstrang were rippling and burning inside him, causing sensations that he was trying to calm and hide. Jonas perferred to stay away from strong emotions, keeping them at bay whenever they tried to be released. It took quite a lot of control from him to keep himself from reaching for her hand, or standing to sit right beside her instead of across from her. He had to remind himself that he had just met this girl, that he really knew nothing about her except her house. From how she had explained the houses before, he was sure the boys in her house would likely disapprove of him if he were to realyl try and go for her. Mostly because it seemed Slytherins and Hufflepuffs just did not get along, though he still could not see a reason why. Perhaps it was his innate talent of ignoring what he didn't care for that caused his inability to understand such house rivalries. Or perhaps being understanding and willing to be friends with anyone was a trait of his house, which he only thought worked for a moment due to what Isadora had told him of their house. Those that have traits of the various other houses, yet still did not fit in any of those. He supposed he did fit into his house, if all those definitions of a 'Hufflepuff' were true. Her whisper was just barely loud enough to hear, but Jonas simply smiled in reply. "Thank you." He simply said, trying to keep himself from saying too much more. Looking around the library, he was quickly finding himself wanting to explore again, feeling uneasy staying in one spot for too long.
He watched her as he spoke, staring at the cover of the book in front of her. Was she feeling uneasy or uncomfortable from this conversation? He certainly hoped she wasn't though he could see why it would be so. This topic was slightly alarming and a bit touchy when it came to discussing the dark arts. He had no idea what exactly was on her mind, though he was seriously wishing he could have been blessed with the gift of telepathy. Maybe in another lifetime, he supposed, as he could not think of a spell that would help him in this instance, to try and read the mind of a classmate. Perhaps that was something he should look into. She finally responded and Jonas found himself having difficulty focusing on her words. He had definitely been sitting still for a minute too long. "Yes, I would have to agree with you." He simply stated, standing up as he needed to move. "I must apologize, but I have to get moving. I can't really sit still for too long. You can come with me, if you would like?" He asked, though something was telling him she might prefer to stay behind. Usually when he felt like this, Jonas would just wander around the school, trying to find someone to bother if he could, or just some girl whose mind he could play around with. However, the latter was seeming to become a lot less amusing to him, especially after these two girl have confused him just so much.
