POSITIVE TRAITS
- brazen; he's not afraid of much, and what does scare him he doesn't let show: sev will do pretty much anything without a second thought.
- attentive; his memory is near perfect, and always has been.
- assertive; when he knows he's right, he'll say it. and when he thinks he's better, he'll say that too.
NEGATIVE TRAITS
- animalistic; he's driven by very base instincts: survival and pleasure.
- stubborn; it's his way or the high way. even when he's wrong he's right, and will argue his point until the other gives up.
- difficult; he really doesn't get along well with others, never really has. he argues a lot, and doesn't open up much at all. when he does open up, well, consider yourself lucky.
LIKES
- food; any kind, sev's not picky. however, he does have a certain liking towards strawberries
- fire; he's always liked it, even as a boy and he's a bit of a pyromaniac. he's actually quite upset that he's not a fire elemental
- being alone; he's not a fan of large groups and would really rather just spend time with one or two other people, if not completely alone
- snakes; he's always been fascinated with the slithery creatures, how they move and how they eat such huge things even if it is a little gross. he defintely plans on owning one someday in the future
- his brothers; the only friends he's really ever had were his five (now four) older brothers. sev doesn't see them quite as often as he'd like to anymore and he misses them dearly.
DISLIKES
- poodles; such a silly thing to hate, but, oh does he despise them. not just their annoying yapping, but just their very being. most likely, this is derived from some mishap he had with one when he was small
- needles; this could --and should-- be broadened to include any and all pointed objects wielded by someone other than himself: knives, scissors, pencils, you name it. he's somewhat paranoid of others, and has no sense of basic trust, therefore, every person near him with anything that can be used as a weapon is a threat
- the dark; as sad as it is to say, this poor little boys scared of the dark. no boogeyman needed, he just hates not being able to see what's out there
- his parents; over his fourteen years, he learned that the way his parents treated him was far from appropriate. he no longer has any respect for the pair, and give them credit only for giving birth to him
- public restrooms; they're dirty. they smell awful. and they're just plain disgusting. severen refuses to use them or even go into them unless it's an emergency. and even then he'd sooner use a bush
STRENGTHS
- near perfect memory
- (brutally) honest
- normally quiet
WEAKNESSES
- lack of trust
- no patience
- not quite...intelligent
FEARS
- that is was his fault his brother killed himself
- sharp objects
- the dark
BEST MEMORY catching fireflies with his brothers one night in june, age five
WORST MEMORY finding sam's body, age thirteen
LONG-TERM GOAL sev's not exactly the type of person who plans out his future. right now, he's just looking to graduate.

HISTORY
the anderson family was already too full when severen and his elder twin, samuel, were born. they were the fifth and sixth sons born to a mother who only wanted a daughter. both parents were less than excited about their new children, both had grown tired of parenthood already, even though their eldest son was only seven.
his name was nathen, nate by his friends and brothers, and it was up to him to keep his younger siblings fed. his mother didn't work, and his father worked in construction, earning only slightly above minimum. every week, nate was given twenty bucks and told to buy food. he did the best he could, but the little boy could only make the money go so far.
the brothers were all very close, but sev and sam especially, sharing the bond many twins do. they shared everything they could helped each other, took care of each other. they were the other's best friend.
so how severen didn't notice sam's depression until it was too late is anyone's guess. having grown in the family they did, none of the boys let their true feelings be known; they learned that lesson the first time, after their father beat them for being 'pussy boys.'
the two were fifteen, just had had their birthday, when sev walked into the bathroom and found his twin's lifeless body floating in his life's blood in the bath. frightened, he called the police and then hid in his room. he didn't know how to respond and sat numb for nearly an hour before it finally hit him that his brother was gone.
severen was destroyed. his best friend, his brother, his other damn half was gone, and he didn't know why. he could barely summon enough strength to go to samuel's funeral but somehow managed it, even if he did spend it sniveling in the back away from everyone else.
the rest of the year, sev stayed in his and sam's room, wrapped in all of his twin's old blankets. he didn't bother going to school, and his parents didn't bother remembering that he existed. the other brothers did their best to try and help severen, but only bryson and brandon could come close to understanding the hurt he felt.
nearly a year later, on his fourteenth birthday, a man came to the crawford house asking for severen. for the first time in a long while, sev left his room and sat with the man, curious.
the man explained to severen and his parents that sev could be an elemental. of course, both melissa and derik had heard the story before: they'd both been tested, as had their other four sons. none of them came out positive. but severen was different.
he was indeed an elemental, a thunder elemental to be specific. he was shocked, confused, and a little scared, but mostly excited. he'd be leaving the hell hole he grew up in for the academy the man had described. with barely a goodbye to his parents and a few tears shared with his brothers, severen left his home, leaving with the man.

SECRET WORD Correct.
RP SAMPLEwhere in the world had everyone gone? time, though it was limitless for seth, still moved so fast. his old friends were dead and gone, and since he hadn't aged a day since his first shift, the young boy had been forced to stay out of public eye. no one stayed looking like a fifteen year old boy for forever, and though he didn't quite look fifteen because of his height and build, it was still suspicious that he still looked so young at sixty-five.
so no school. seth didn't mind that part of it. he'd graduated once already, finished high school. did not want to go back. but he missed having friends, making new ones, just being around people in general. sure, he had jake and leah and his pack, and sam's pack, and even a few of the cullens, but none of them were his age. collin and brady were close, but they were too close-knit to let a third join them.
he spent a lot of time on his own because of it, usually in his animal form. it was easier then, no one able to recognize him somehow. he stuck to the forest and kept to himself. but every once and a while, when the weather was nice, like it was today, and the waves were calm, like it was today, seth went down to first beach. the beach was emptier on those days, since the humans saw the beach only as surf spot, not a sun spot.
unlike others his age --his apparent age, not his physical-- seth enjoyed the quiet. it was somewhat ironic, since he was usually the one making noise when he was around others. but by himself, seth wanted to only hear his surroundings. the soft sound of waves crashing and the breeze rushing past his face, faraway voices laughing from down the beach: that's what he wanted to hear. he closed his dark eyes, breathing in the salty air. humans couldn't feel the beach like he could, and they were missing out. it was incredibly peaceful.
crunching sounds came from his right, the sound of footsteps in the sand. someone was coming near him, but seth didn't bother to open his eyes or look up. it wasn't a shifter --he could tell by the scent-- so whoever it was would most likely just walk on past.
