Club Corrosion did not fit her well, but it was the hottest place in the Hollow, despite how shady it looked. A woman of glamour and fashion, she had little time for anything below her standards. Unfortunately, her funds forced her into the crowded building that night. Cutting back was a phrase not found in the Fire graduate's vocabulary. Spendthrift and with expensive taste, a bad combination for a model trying to climb to the top while constantly breaking the rules. The Long Island Iced Tea she went over to the bar to order said that well. Though, in truth, she didn't always break the rules. She had cleaned up her act a lot, now only partying on the weekends when she could afford a hangover, should she get one. So, this weekend, she decided to go out. Despite her distaste for Corrosion, it was a venue as any other. One reason she went out was to show off, and she had no shame in this. She looked good, dress tight and glimmering on her body, heels high and expensive. It may have been shallow, but who cared? She was confident in herself, and she thought there needed to be more people like that in the world. More people to lean over the bar and flirt with whoever was working that night, to know what they wanted and how they wanted it. She sipped at her drink through the straws, looking at the people who made it out tonight. Some younger students probably made it through, busy nights allowing them to slip past the bouncer. Altair remembered having to sneak in, but now she was twenty, an adult, and she loved it. Sitting down at a table, she continued to survey the crowd until she spotted someone familiar. Lifting her hand, she crooked her fingers in the universal "come hither" gesture. "Hey, Damon, come for a wild time?" She leaned on the table, friends walking over to sit to the left of her. The word "friends" used loosely in her case, considering the fact she may not even have friends. In any case, Damon should prove to be much better entertainment for the night. As a Fire, she felt the kinship with him she only felt among those of her kind. Add in the fact that he was drop-dead gorgeous, and well you had a very entertained Altair. |
