The wind travels freely across the world, taking it's messages with it. At the moment Kai was sending a soft medley in the wind. Kai was currently in the bell tower playing his violin. He was standing at the point right before entering where the bell chamber was. He was playing Ave Maria. It was one of his father's favorite pieces. As he played he liked to believe that the notes traveled in the wind, taking the sweet music up to the heavens where his father could listen. Playing his violin and especially this piece made him feel closer to his father. Of course his father would always be in his heart but when he played, it was like an extension of that.
Kai just sighed as the song came to an end. He carefully placed the violin back in it's case and put it safely near the wall. The violin had been a gift from his father and he cherished it. He leaned on the window area that was situated on the wall. He just looked out onto the horizon. Wouldn't be long before the sun would be beginning to set. He liked looking out onto the horizon. With all the different colors it was truly beautiful sight. He just continued to stare out the window, enjoying the peace of the moment.

The beautiful scenery painted itself behind her as she made her way to the Bell Tower. Bella was not in the mood for company in that moment. All she truly wanted was to sit and watch. Watch everyone else’s lives. Watch how they react to things. Watch, watch, watch – that’s what she wished to do. Preferably alone and enclosed in the small isolation that the Bell Tower provided. As she ascended the steps though, those wishes began to deteriorate. It seemed that someone had beat her to the tower and was currently using it as a place to play the violin.
Pausing to listen, she realized that the song was Ave Maria. She knew of exactly one person who loved to play the piece, and she smiled as she headed straight to the room before the bell chamber. The music had ceased upon her arrival, but as she watched the figure looking out at the view, she knew she had been right. Kai had been the source of the wonderful music. Fighting a giggle, she quietly tiptoed towards him and made a move to cover his eyes with her hands.
She bit her lip and tried not to make any sudden movements.

There were a million and one empty rooms in the castle. There was the music room itself. He could play in his dorm room when his roommate wasn't there. Despite that though his favorite place was probably the bell tower. When he was lucky he would find the place void of people and he'd be able to play his music to the heavens. It was nice when he got to play alone. Not that he didn't like playing in front of people. He couldn't be fearful of playing in front of people after all. If Kai was going to be a concert performer like his mother he had to be able to perform in front of huge crowds. He had the talent for it he merely needed to prove himself.
Until then though he'd enjoy practicing in the comfort of solitude. Which was something that the bell tower provided. Of course that wasn't to say that he always was alone. He had met a handful of interesting people during his practices while playing in the observation deck of the tower. Sometimes he'd even meet up with friends. He could never be completely sure of what would happen. He'd only have to be prepared for it. Sometimes nothing ever happen which was okay. Staring out into the horizon he didn't ever once realize that he was no longer along. He was so lost in himself that he'd didn't feel the presence of his friend and so when his eyes were suddenly covered he slightly jumped where he stood. "I guess this is the part where I have to guess who?" he said with a soft smile. Okay, so first he had to think of who it could. He had a number of friends who had the personality to do this out of fun but only one really came to mind. The one girl he could think of that practically did this every time. "Well, if I had to take a single guess I'd have to say that I think Emmett is rubbing off on you Bella. You guys seem to get a kick out of surprising me."

If it were possible, Bella's smile grew wider. She let out a laugh as she took a step back and retracted her hands. "Well it's just so much fun!" She replied with a chuckle as she moved to stand beside him. She frowned however, as she continued, "If that's a joke about me turning into a guy, then I'm going to kill you!" She'd always been getting flack for being too boyish, but it wasn't as if she wanted to turn into a guy! Even if their life seems to be way easier than a girl's life.
From their spot, she could see plenty of people walking to and fro. Some of them she recognized while the others she was only vaguely familiar with. She crossed her arms and leaned against the side of the window, taking a good look at one of her best friends.
"You really do play with your heart." She mused thoughtfully. It used to sting whenever she'd see or hear Kai play because it reminded her of a time when she played, but the way he played simply put her at ease now. She loved how he always seemed to lose himself in whatever he was playing, and she sometimes wondered if she would've turned out similar to him should she have continued to play. But as it was, she'd never touched a musical instrument - much less played one - ever since her parents' death. Playing was a part of her past now. Nothing more than a distant memory.

"Of course it is." He said, matching her chuckle. His laughter died but the smile remained as he shook his head. "No, that's not what I meant. It's just Emmett loves sneaking up on me when he can. Of course he says he's doing it for my own benefit. Something about toughing me up." he said with a light chuckle as he thought about his best friend. He remembered when the thunder had told him that his sneaking up on Kai was to help Kai out. Wasn't sure how exactly that was but what could he do about it. "Besides you're the last person I'd ever say was turning into a guy. You're too good for that." he said with a bit of a teasing tone. Isabella wasn't the most girlish female he knew but he'd never see her as turning into one of the guys. His crush on her wouldn't allow it.
Isabella had been someone he had met during his first year at the Academy almost around the same time he had befriend Emmett. Their friendship was rather amusing. Where Isabella and Kai's personalities meshed well it was rather the opposite when it came to Emmett and yet the three of them had formed an interesting trio, their own little three musketeers. Somewhere down the road though Kai found his feelings for Isabella changing. At first he thought his head was playing tricks on him but eventually he realize it wasn't that he and he had begun to develop a crush on Isabella. He never said anything of course because he didn't want to ruin his friendship with Isabella.
Isabella's voice brought him out of his thoughts and he gave her a small smile. "Thanks. My dad used to tell me that if you can't play let your emotions flow from the music then what's the point of playing." It had been years since his father passed away and it still hurt sometimes but playing got him through a lot of the rough times. His dad used to tell him how he loved listening to Kai's playing even if the young wind didn't think he was all that good at the time. When he would play alone he'd imagine that he was playing for his father, his mother telling him that anytime he'd play his father would be listening. "So, how's your day been? What made you want to come up here?"

She stuck her tongue out at him before poking his chest with her forefinger. "Aww, little Kai needs big ole Emmett to look after him!" She joked, making it so that her voice was about the same as a child's. She then smiled at him, less joking and a little more sober. "Your dad was a smart man." She licked her lips and ran a hand through her hair. She was still leaning against the wall, so it wasn’t a huge change when she raised a leg to stretch before bringing it back down and doing the same to the other. They were beginning to go numb, and she always hated it when it happened.
She nibbled on her lower lip. Oh yeah, what was Isabella’s reason for coming again? She took a glance out the window and then brought her gaze back to her feet. That’s right. She wanted to be on the outside looking in for a moment – be a simply fly on the wall. She’s always the type of person to approach others and make new friends, but then she had wanted to get away for a while and just see how the world went on. She always did find it peaceful to watch everyone else go about their lives.
“I just felt like watching.” She finally replied with a shrug and a sigh, a small smile blossoming on her face. “And what about you? Did you come here just to play or did you use some of your wind tricks to get me to come here by playing your song?” She asked with a raised brow. Sometimes she wondered about herself and how she came up with the most random things to say.
