HISTORY
Alissa was born on September 24th; ten minutes older than her identical twin sister, Rebeccah. Even at birth, they seemed inseperable, and growing up they were always polar opposites, yet seemed to go together very well. Her sister, for example, was always girlier than she was, and better at defensive fighting, which is why Alissa is usually seen fighting with her sister when in a fight at the Academy. They also both seemed quite stronger when fighting together, and that made them nearly unstoppable.
Their parents aren't elementals, though both of their grandparents are (Alissa wouldn't be caught dead telling someone that it had skipped a generation, though.) Their grandparents were estatic when they had heard that they had passed their elemental gifts down to Alissa and her sister since none of their cousins were elementals, so they were very spoiled once they turned fourteen and their abilities had been discovered. Alissa didn't really care either way if she was an elemental or not, just as long as it made her stronger when fighting. She had been coached in MMA by her father since the age of four, which is why she has quite a unique fighting style, and despite the fact that she's not very good with fire, she still can cause quite a bit of damage to anyone that gets in her way.
Herself and her sister entered the Academy at the age of fourteen. From that moment on they've been staying at the Academy and going home on the weekends. Alissa had the tendency to get into a lot of fights with her parents and authority figures, and although her parents have threatened to kick her out of the house several times, they still forced her to come home on the weekends, much to her displeasure. After six months of attending the Academy, she got the news that her parents had both died in a car crash. She didn't like to admit to anyone that she was actually upset about her parents' death, which is why she became even crueler over the year or so. Alissa and her sister moved into their grandparents house, and have been living there since.

RP SAMPLEHollis had just finished signing up for hockey tryouts when he had recieved the note. He was already late for lunch as it was, since the hockey tryouts line had been longer than anticipated, and he had felt the need to take about a dozen pictures of the same window while walking back to his dormitory. At his old school in Seattle, no one ever signed up for hockey except for about six or seven of the same guys, because it wasn't as popular of a sport as it seemed to be in New York. He had easily been the second best player on his old school's team, but that was a pretty easy accomplishment. The only guy that seemed to beat him at everything having to do with hockey was his best friend, Liam, but that was because his dad used to be a professional hockey player. In fact, Liam was the one that got him interested in the sport, and the one who trained him so that he wasn't a complete failure. Hollis had always been better at photography than Liam ever was, so he had never felt that bad when Liam was considered the best player.
Hollis suddenly reached into his navy blue backpack and got out his camera. He then looked through the pictures he had taken that day, starting with the pictures of his sister, Ophelia, jumping on a trampoline. The light hit her brown hair and pink highlights perfectly, making her her entire face appear as if it was glowing. He then eventually got to the pictures he had taken only fifteen minutes earlier, the one of the window, and laughed to himself, realizing that most guys would probably not stop to take pictures of a window, no matter how pretty the sky looked through it that day. But Hollis was unlike most guys, and he was pretty sure that everyone knew that fact, too.
He walked up to his dormitory and took out a few textbooks to replace them with the ones he would need that afternoon, when a a piece of paper slipped out of of his math textbook. It was obviously a girl's handwriting, written in bubbly letters and each "I" was dotted with a heart. The words written on it automatically made him want to punch something.
"The Trashiest of them all."
There was an incomplete arrow pointing to the bottom righthand corner of the paper, and despite the fact that he knew he shouldn't, he rummaged through his things until he found the second part of the note. It was a magazine clipping of a story that had been written during the summer when he had arrived home late, drunk. There was a picture of him and his friends downtown with bottles of alcohol around them, which is where he had been before he had arrived home late. The rest of the arrow was pointing to him, and his face was circled with a sharpie. He kicked his math textbook so hard that he was surprised that he hadn't somehow broken it, then stood in the center of the room, shaking. "It's just a note, Hollis. Just a note."
That was when he decided that he didn't want to blend in. He wouldn't blend in no matter how hard he tried, and the school uniforms sucked. He went into his suit case and grabbed a t-shirt and shorts, then got dressed and walked to the Cafeteria.
When he had arrived at the Cafeteria, he took a tray and piled food onto it, then sat down alone at a table, not expecting anyone to sit next to "The Trashiest Rich Guy," or whatever people were calling him.
