Teaching was much harder than anyone could imagine. Teaching Art, true passionate intuition based art, seemed almost impossible. Still, a month into her first term and Jessie’s spirit was still intact. In fact Jessie only dug her expensive heels deeper as she moved forward. There were some diamonds in the rough at this school and she had every intention and showing them their potential. Jessie was so excited about it she had offered to all of her students to stay later after classes in case anyone wanted some one on one time with the British born artist. So far no one had taken the bait. Every afternoon when classes were out, Jessie had spent them in the school art room studio by herself for two hours, hoping someone would waltz in and entertain her.
So, another empty room as Jessie scribbled aimlessly in the margins of her own personal sketchbook. Her eye drifted up towards the only. Only 3:30? Dramatically she dropped her head onto the teacher’s desk she occupied. ”Stupid clock…” she mumbled. Times like now made her wish she had some freaky super powers that could accelerate time. While her mind was going that route, she might as well have super cool powers to manipulate paints. Slowly she lifted her head up from the tabletop. Who was she to complain. She did have super powers… kind of. She had control over Water damn it, and if that wasn’t pretty cool, she didn’t know what was. Playing around with water wasn’t going to make this day go any faster. One month, exactly thirty-one days, she had offered this after school time and she still hadn’t had a single visitor.
This could be time well spent back at her home studio, where her doodles could be turned into something real. Back at her apartment she had much better means to work than here. Of course the school didn’t have the sort of tools Jessie had been collecting over the years. Young she may be, but her big purchases have been put to a good cause: her artwork. Trying to jazz herself up, Jessie pulled out her iPhone and placed it in her stereo dock she had fitted the room with. Now what to jam out to? Something happy, something to get the blood pumping. Hmm…something to dance to… Her fingers scrolled down down the song lists until she found the perfect song. ”Holla!” She pressed her finger to the selected piece and let the dirty beat flow into the empty room. ”Oh yeah!” Jessie swayed her hips to the beat as she made her way back to the chair. Without really thinking she began to belt along with the words, idly scribbling in her sketchbook once again.
