HISTORY
Kyrian was born on March 24th to a military father and a carefree mother. Of course, it was one of those things where his father's father's father... back in time all the way to the civil war... was in the armed forces. Why his mother chose him for her husband, Kyrian could never quite understand. His father is a United States Marine who was stationed just across from the Canadian Border in New York. He's the best of the best, so needless to say, rules at his house were relatively strict. Even after Kyrian's sister was born, things didn't lighten up much in that house. His mother died when he was eight, and his little sister was only 6. He tried to be there for her, help keep the memory of their mother alive. Of course in Matthew's eyes, Kyrian was far to petulant to be allowed to stay for long.
So during the year, starting when Kyrian was about 9 or so, he was sent to a military academy. He was only home during the holidays, but Kiara and Kyrian were inseparable for those times, and he felt so bad leaving her home alone with their father who seemed even stricter on her than he was on him. That was why he gave her the guitar he'd inherited from their Granddad when she turned 8. To have something she could have that our father couldn't take from her. Kyrian tried to be the model child, trying to keep his focus off of her. He was proud that my family had served the people for so long, even if he didn't care for the way the country was being run. Of course... when he was a teenager... everything changed. In one of the holidays when Kyrian was home, just before he would have started high school, his father struck Kiara when he found out she'd failed a course at her school. Kyrian got in between them and was struck down and ended up fracturing his left shoulder blade.
It was then when Kyrian's anger and utter betrayal at his father's anger and cruelty that he revolted against him... only it wasn't just by throwing a punch at him, something a little more came from the situation. It was after that as Kyrian's new abilities began to surface that the family was approached. He was accepted into a school for gifted youngsters, Matthew was furious. He didn't like the idea of his son being 'abnormal'. He hadn't known that his wife had come from a line of 'gifted' individuals.
Once at the Academy, Kyrian learned just how special he was. A water elemental. It beat the hell out of being the kind of guy his father wanted me to be. And what's even better? His sister also got accepted to the school when she began showing signs of having the same abilities that he had. Kyrian was exceptionally pleased about that, he'd felt bad about leaving her behind before. He got to be with her all the time, they were away from their father, and when they did go home during the holidays... he knew that their father couldn't touch them. They were stronger than him now. When he graduated, he decided to go on to college to better himself in his abilities, his sister was safe at the Academy, so he didn't worry to much about her. She could take care of herself anyway.

RP SAMPLEKyrian woke up that morning, wondering vaguely why his head hurt so fucking bad. He didn't remember getting drunk the previous night, so it wasn't due to a hangover he didn't think. It was all centrally located on the top right portion of his head though. He shifted, cursing softly as he realized that he'd fallen out of his bunk during the night and his head was 'cushioned' by nothing but the floor. So he got up, working the aches out of his body and he stretched. These bunks were totally awful. Even worse than the cots and bunks in boot camp or in enemy territory. 'course it wasn't the first time he'd slept on the ground, and it probably wouldn't be the last. A warm shower worked the kinks out of his joints, if only he'd had that comfort while sleeping in a cold desert in Iraq at night, he'd have been in business.
Breakfast was next on the agenda, though by then the rest of his band mates were starting to stir as well. Heating up his danish, he wrapped it in a napken, grabbed a cup of coffee, and was on the move. He moved through the early morning, the sun just cresting over the buildings, and most people still sleeping snugly in their tour buses. He moved past the silent buses, wondering where he could go. Kris wasn't even awake yet for him to bother, or if he was, he was probably one of those that had been getting in the shower when he'd left the bus. He wasn't entirely pleased that he didn't have anyone to talk to or hang out with. Why did he have to be such a fucking morning person? Like really, honestly. Must have been those years of having to wake up early in the military.
He headed up into the venue, where Waking Never would be performing that morning, walking around the outside of the building and then in to the stands. He walked along the lower balcony and finished his danish before he noticed that there was someone in the stands near the stage. He frowned, leaning over the rail and watching him for a few moments before he found a nearby set of stairs and moved down to the floor level and made his way towards the other male. He heard the sound of a camera, so the male was a photographer. He knew paparazzi wasn't allowed into the area so he must be one of those from the tour staff or a band photographer. He didn't belong to Waking Never, however. Of course, he paused in the middle of the aisle a few feet away before the other male actually backed into him.
He smiled slightly as the other male apologized to him in an exceptionally low voice. "You're fine. 's what I get for approaching from behind without alerting myself," he stated easily, tilting his head slightly as he held out his hand to the other male as he asked what he was doing here. He laughed again, holding his coffee still in his free hand, glad that none had spilt when the other had bumped him. "I'm Kyrian White... lead guitar for Waking Never... we have a set here tonight," he stated easily. "Just getting a look at the layout of the place... I like to get a look at it from the audience's perspective so I can know where the best positions are on the stage for I and my comrades for the best visual effect." he nodded easily, tilting his head. "What about you?"
