OUTFIT.
The Thatcher house was oddly quiet considering the fact that Athena was preparing for a small Halloween party with her friends. She had her hair done up in curls, her black dress tattered and torn, and a nice pointed hat settled atop her head. The perfect little witch, Devin called her in teasing, which induced a pout and a quick apology for 'hurting her feelings'. He was excited about going to the mansion for the Halloween party his best friend was hosting though, and so did not take much time to dwell on the guilt he felt for insulting his baby sister. She forgave him quick enough anyway and dismissed the small infraction as though it were nothing. They were fairly similar in this regard; it did not take long for them to move on and shrug off the negative things in life. Most of them anyway. Devin decided to get dressed at home in order to get the opinions of his family. "That looks good on you!" Athena complemented with a bright smile, her laughter light. It was more out of amusement because Devin was blonde and Ash Ketchum had black hair. He considered dying his hair or spraying it with something temporary but hesitated. That stuff was too difficult to get out. Judith leaned on the kitchen counter and gave her nephew a thumbs up and a smile matching that of her niece. "Excellent! You and Sandra will be so incredibly adorable together." He could not help but blush and scratch at the side of his head, mumbling a thank you while his sister giggled.
After he finished helping Athena set up a few of the decorations and putting some icing on the cake his aunt baked a few hours prior, Devin realized what time it was. "Oh, shit," He muttered to himself as he slid on his shoes and checked his face one last time in the mirror to make sure that none of the make-up was smudged and his hair was okay. He gave his goodbye's for the evening and rushed out the door. Hopefully Athena and her friends would not do too much damage to the house.
He decided to pick up his girlfriend from her apartment; he enjoyed doing gentlemanly things like that and would rather drive her places than expect her to go by bus or find other transportation. He had a car, he could do these things for her. It took him a moment or two before he could slide out of the driver's seat and make his way to the front door, because even after months of dating Matthew made him nervous. He was the older brother after all. Devin finally took a deep breath and knocked on the door, waiting until she opened it to give her a toothy grin. "Hey, beautiful. Love the costume!" The boy complemented, then looked down at himself with a sheepish expression. "I hope you don't mind a blonde Ash. I think they can figure out who I am though." The hat and pokeballs were kind of a dead giveaway for anyone who knew about the game. He turned and gestured to the car. "You ready to go? I'm so incredibly hungry and I hear they did up the mansion in all sorts of Halloween decorations." Spending time with Sandra and his friends was something he always looked forward to but damn was he hungry! He saved his stomach just for the party. After he ensured Sandra was ready to go he opened the door for her on the passenger's side of the car before hopping in and making his way towards the mansion. It reminded him of all the times he used to walk or skateboard just about everywhere he wanted to go, even in the freezing cold and snow. He was glad for a car now.
The mansion was fully lit and looked to be full of people already, the decorations vibrant and many. He pulled around the circular part of the driveway and found himself a place to park off on the grass. "Let's go and have us some fun!" Devin exclaimed, getting out of the car and shifting around to the other side to open the door for Sandra. Upon walking inside he was greeted with the wonderful smells of food and the chattering of guests, which made him smile. He had always liked parties but was growing to enjoy them without downing alcohol and being crazy stupid. He observed the crowd before turning to look at his girlfriend. "Okay, so I'm kinda sorta starving so are you up for drowning ourselves in food and sugary things?" Devin asked, gesturing to the kitchen. If Sandra wanted to do something else that was fine too! He was incredibly easy going with just about everything.

Sandra kind of adored Halloween and always had -- the costumes were fun, the candy was even better, and it was a good opportunity to hang around, take a break from doing homework, and get up to shenanigans. It would be, oddly enough, her first year not going trick-or-treating, but then she had always been a little too old for it anyway and people had started giving her funny looks when she'd turned twelve or thirteen or so. Sixteen or seventeen, however, was not old, but when the chance came up this year to do something different -- that was, go to a party that Nell and Josh were throwing -- she decided that she'd take this chance instead. Then she and Devin had decided that they'd go together, and then really, it was just a done deal because Sandra was full of ideas and it just so happened that she'd already known what she was doing this year because she'd gone and blown way too much money on the costume while in Japan... but leave it to Japan to sell things like this.
Still, the idea of being matching and cute was something that made Sandra really kind of happy and giggly -- because she was the world's biggest sap for things like this -- so when she heard a knock on the front door she was already grinning happily before she was halfway there to open it. "Deviiiin!" she sang chirpily as if surprised to find him there, even though she'd expected him, greeting him immediately with a hug. She might have thought twice (then again, maybe not -- she was a very affectionate person with everyone, so it wouldn't have been that weird even if it were just some friend) had Matthew been home, but in fact he was still out doing whatever things he was doing so it didn't really matter much anyway. Most of her hesitation either way would have been for Devin's benefit because she, after all, was not scared of her own brother, but maybe it was lucky that he wasn't there this particular time, though it wasn't like her boyfriend wasn't allowed in the apartment. That rule had since been abolished. "Pfft, blonde ash is adorable," she said, pinching his cheek gently. "They can definitely figure it out! And you'll have your Pokeballs to tip them off." Sandra felt sorry for the poor souls who couldn't recognize Ash.
"So ready! I wonder if it'll be scary, though," she wondered aloud as she stepped out the door and locked it behind her. She didn't deal very well with even remotely frightening situations, but hopefully this would be okay and there was nothing they'd set up that'd jump out and grab at her ankles or anything, because she would freak out and run the heck away. "But oh my god Dev, food, why would you bring up food?" she whined, pouting a little, almost feeling her stomach crying for food already, and she had eaten a few hours ago (a few hours was a long time, alright?).
The ride to the mansion didn't take long, but this was probably because Sandra was chatty and Devin was chatty and together they were just a very talkative pair. Soon enough, though, they were rolling up to the mansion itself and there were people in costumes all around already and she was excited as she stepped out of his car, holding her tail carefully to avoid having anything happen to it. Once inside, she noted that there seemed to be a pretty huge number of things they could do, but she could smell food, and so her response to Devin was perhaps overexcited when he asked. "Ooh yes, food -- and candy!" Her eyes grew big. "Candy candy candy candy..." She hopped up and down excitedly -- candy was the reason Halloween was one of the very best holidays ever -- and took his hand, heading in the direction he'd gestured even though she didn't actually know how to navigate the place. She'd been here before, sure, but not too many times, and the mansion was huge. "Wait, do you know your way around? Because I would totally get us really lost and we'd probably get eaten by zombies or something," she said, still sounding cheery as she said it. Zombies were very fitting for the season -- but she and Devin could probably take them, because after all, nobody beat Ash and Pikachu (even when this specific Ash and Pikachu were total wimps, but shhh).

OUTFIT.
Devin laughed and hugged Sandra tight, taking a brief glance into the apartment to make sure her brother wasn't looming around in the background, staring at them. Matt did not seem like a bad guy but he knew how brothers could be. He was one himself, and remembered the argument he had with Athena last year over the boy she had been dating. At least there had been no death threats or anything creepy like that. Devin really cared about his girlfriend but impending doom did not sound appealing in the least. He closed an eye as Sandra pinched his cheek. "If you say so. I could have tried for black hair but I don't want it to be permanent." He did not know a lot about hair color but he knew enough to understand that dark hair dyes took longer to get rid of and he was not going to wait for that stuff to grow out, nor was he interested in shaving his head. A bald Devin was out of the question. He patted the pokeballs looped to his belt and smiled. "Yeah! Do you think people would be offended if I tried to capture them? I mean, I am supposed to catch 'em all." Although it would probably anger half of the guests at the party more than anything else. Smacking people in the back of the head with a plastic ball could create potential enemies.
He shrugged a little and smiled, clearly not phased by the possibility that they could be scared out of their minds. He was a jumpy person and would probably run out of the room screaming like a little girl but that was what Halloween was all about, right? Screaming like a little girl. And possibly wetting his pants. "Maybe it will be, but we can always avoid the scary stuff and do something else!" Devin offered cheerily, rolling up onto the balls of his feet before coming back down. There were ways to avoid scary things if they simply wanted to enjoy food and people. "Because I'm hungryyyy," He whined back, rolling his head to the side with a pout. "I waited all day to eat, too. Just so I could stuff my face with all of their amazing food. If Nell cooked it's probably good stuff." His friend seemed to have a way about the kitchen. If only he could manage to make macaroni and cheese without burning something. Cooking and gaming also did not mix, which he learned the hard way.
Seeing the mansion alight with decorations and people dressed up in their costumes was incredibly exciting; Devin wondered who was going as what, and how many people he would know or at least recognize through their outfits. Masks would certainly make that venture difficult but he could make a guessing game out of it. He was here with Sandra but being around his friends would also make him happy. He thrived being around those he cared about. Sandra's excited response to the food was absolutely adorable and he smiled brightly. "Now now, you should wait for candy after you eat regular food. Right?" Fake parenting at its best. So what if they ate candy now and got a hold of the actual food later? This was a party! They needed to live it up. "While I would love for us to run into a horde of zombies," He replied, shuddering at the thought of hundreds of undead chasing them around the house, "I think I can steer us in the right direction! I've been in this house more times than I can count." Sure, Devin managed to get lost a few times himself but having been friends with Josh since what seemed the beginning of time he had opportunities to adjust and learn his way around. He took her hand lightly and led her into the kitchen, where the food caused him to salivate and the candy called his name in sweet little whispers. "Food, glorious food," He sang to himself as he picked up a cupcake and bit into it without hesitation. A content moan rose up in his throat as he swallowed. "Sandy. Sandy. Oh my god the cupcakes you have to have one. And we need to try all of the things."

Sandra just laughed. She had never coloured her hair but it was quite dark enough as it was already, so she wasn't overly fussed about that -- if she wanted to be Ash she could probably have to get a haircut, though. Luckily, the nature of her costume didn't require very much in the way of hair dye, unless she wanted to go all out and dye her hair yellow to match or anything, but that seemed silly when the hood served as a perfectly good Pikachu head. "You'd look cute with black hair, too," she said with a smile, but this probably didn't mean very much, because Sandra usually thought he looked cute anyway. "But I might be biased!" Still, his blonde hair was very cute. "They might be a little offended! But I don't know if anyone would come dressed as a Pokemon. Fifty points if you catch one of those, though," she told him wiht a decisive nod. "Plus it might hurt." Sandra pretended to eye the Pokeballs warily for a moment, but she trusted that her boyfriend would not try to chuck them at the back of her head any time soon. Ouch.
It was good that Devin, at least, seemed to keep his cool, because she doubted that she would be able to do the same once they actually got there, in case it was actually any kind of scary. "So brave!" she teased with mock awe, smiling too hard to be anywhere close to convincing. "But that sounds like a good idea." She was sure neither of them had strong enough hearts to hold up to anything scary that Josh and Nell decided it'd be fun to throw at them. Sandra certainly didn't, anyway. "Well now I am toooo," she whined, pouting at him. This turned into a more serious frown when he said that he'd waited all day to eat. "Heyyy, you need to eat," she told him, not overly concerned because she had no doubt that her boyfriend probably ate just fine most of the time, but still, she shot him a look. "Did you get caught up in video games?" she asked, her smile returning as she pointed a suspecting finger at him.
This really was exciting, to see all the neat decorations they'd put up all over the place, and Sandra just kind of stared in awe, wondering how long it must have taken them. Nell must have had a field day with this. It made her more excited than before, and she wiggled around a little bit in excitement -- probably looking very silly doing that in her Pikachu costume -- before they stepped inside, when the thought of candy and food and candy and candy (and did she mention candy?) distracted her. "No, I think I should not, as a matter of fact," she told him, nudging him a little bit in the side with her elbow, but she laughed and took his hand without complaint. "Okay, no zombies? Got it. But if this becomes an episode of, like, the Walking Dead..." Sandra probably wouldn't last watching a single episode, let alone being in a real life version of one -- so it was very lucky when they arrived in the kitchen safe and sound, no zombies in sight except for one rather lazy costume. "Food!" she squeaked along with Devin's singing. She made for a few nicely decorated cookies instead of the cupcakes at first, nearly inhaling it whole -- it was a small cookie, in her defense -- before she turned to see what the fuss was about these cupcakes. She giggled a little bit when she saw the look on his face -- those had to be some amazing cupcakes -- but then picked one up herself and bit into it more than happily. In her excitement she accidentally stuck her thumb into the frosting and she considered licking it for a moment before, grinning innocently, she decided to wipe the frosting onto Devin's cheek instead, continuing perfectly normally as she did so. "Is this... is this raspberry filling inside? Because whatever it is, it's amazing," she said, almost starry-eyed with how much she liked it. "And and and and, there's so much foooood!"

OUTFIT.
"Really? You think so?" Devin pondered, tugging at a piece of the blonde hair that stuck out from beneath the hat. Hm. That might be an experiment for another time, maybe next year for Halloween so he would have an excuse. And hopefully finding something that was not permanent would not be too difficult either. "If they do, I so need to re-enact a scene where Ash battles a pokemon. You can go into battle for me!" He smiled at her and patted the poke-balls, taking note that they were a hard plastic as Sandra pointed out that hitting someone with them could potentially be painful. He sighed as though lamenting over this. "But how else am I supposed to catch them? I suppose I could buy a stuffed pokeball to throw at people. Then they would only be mildly angry." More angry about having someone throw things at them than it actually hurting.
He was not sure if Sandra was teasing or not, but Devin himself did not think he was brave. At least not in the sense he was thinking. He avoided confrontation, never tried to fight back, and hardly gave a care for his dignity--otherwise he would at least try and throw a punch, right? It all seemed so unnecessary to him. "Well, I am Ash Ketchum. I have to brave the world and all." He puffed out his chest a little but could not hold it for very long before he started chuckling. He poked at her cheek as she whined; she was so adorable. "But that's okayyyy, we'll be going to eat soon." Devin encouraged, still thinking on what sorts of edible things would be available to them upon arrival. Just thinking about it made his mouth water. He gave her a disarming smile when she expressed concern about his needing to eat. It was nice to have someone worry over him even if it was not always necessary. "I'm fine! I figured if we are going to stuff our faces there it would be good to go on an empty stomach." It might not have been the brightest idea considering he might eat too much too fast and get sick, but it was better than being full. "No!...I mean, maybe. But that's beside the point..." Devin rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. He did tend to get caught up in video games sometimes.
Everything was so bright and full of laughter and chatting and creative costumes that Devin felt a bit overwhelmed by all of the excitement. At least he had a specific destination in mind. "Well fine, you eat your dessert before dinner!...and I will follow in your footsteps. You're such a good influence." He said this lightly, not upset in the least that they would probably be digging into the sweets before eating something more main course. He was a junk food junkie anyway so this would be no different than his late night gaming sessions with soda, candy, and Slim Jim's. "No no, no Walking Dead tonight!" Devin assured her, glancing back towards the staircase in subconscious response. "I don't want to be eaten, thank you very much." He had seen one episode of the show--thanks to Judith's love for Rick--and would prefer to avoid being ambushed and eaten alive. The food, however, was meant to be nommed on happily and so was more than willing to find delicious baked goods to dig into. Sandra seemed extremely excited. He watched as she ate a cookie, the cupcake in his hands quickly disappearing into his stomach. So good. It was amazing! He might have to hire his friend to cook for him from now on. His encouragement seemed to work as she took a cupcake for herself...but of course it landed him with frosting on his face. "Heeeey," Devin wined, sticking out his tongue to try and lick at it. He failed; he looked more like a lizard with a twitch than anything else. Deciding to "fight back", he took a little off of his cheek and put some on hers. "There, now we're even. We are frosting twins!" Pokemon frosting twins. Their costumes were becoming more epic by the minute. "I have no idea," He replied through a mouthful of food. "But whatever is in it it's amazing." If not for this being a party of sorts, Devin would probably hoard the cupcakes for himself.

She laughed a little bit and nodded her assurance. "Otherwise I wouldn't say it, silly," she pointed out -- and that was the truth, because Sandra was a fairly honest person. Then again, she may have been biased. She didn't really care what colour her boyfriend's hair was. It was highly unlikely that she'd actually active dislike it. "I think I might just hurt myself," she said, giggling at the idea of going into battle as a Pokemon. "You know... in my confusion and stuff!" That was an actual Pokemon game reference, but she wasn't sure if Devin would actually know or remember or understand -- his field of video game expertise was probably a little more first-person-shooter-ish than Pokemon. Ah, well. "As long as nobody gets super angry!" she said chipperly. "Not sure we'd totally be able to outrun most people!" Starting an actual fight with any of them wasn't even an option, she was pretty positive.
Ash Ketchum was very brave for a ten-year-old boy, though she wasn't sure it was necessarily a compliment to say that. Most people should have been braver than random children, but then again, this was real life and Pokemon, most unfortunately, was not real. "And you do it very well," she teased -- but, actually considering everything, Devin was much braver than he must have given himself credit for. "Not soon enooough," she whined because she could, glad that he was so good at putting up with her. Then again, she would have probably done this anyway. Everyone was a friend in Sandra's eyes, and everyone would be equally capable of dealing with her. At least she was only kidding -- she was generally much too relaxed to be overly fussed about these things, and she wasn't as starving and famished as it might have appeared. She just liked food. "Eat next time though," she said, poking his ribs just hard enough for him to feel it. Hurting people was not good -- especially the people she cared about. How awful that'd be. "And I guess! But still... Still. When did you last eat?" she asked anyway, eyeing him. She really couldn't consider herself surprised at all to hear that he sometimes got too caught up in gaming to remember, uh, food.
Sandra loved all kinds of food, to be perfectly honest -- sweets held a spot in her heart because they were sweet and incredible and fun to snack on, but she'd love any other food as well. "Fine, then I will!" she said as if arguing, but... obviously it wasn't, if she was agreeing. "And you'll love getting to eat your dessert before dinner, don't lie. We can even skip the dinner part. Just do dessert! Breakfast and lunch can go, too." She was kidding, though -- Sandra loved food way too much to substitute all of thsoe other meals just for dessert, even if dessert was pretty great. "Nope. We're the ones doing the eating tonight!" she agreed, hopping along after him happily, their fingers laced together. The cupcakes really were great -- frosting on their cheeks aside -- and she just giggled a little bit as she finished hers off in a few more bites, making a mental note to go back to them later and grab about thirty or so just for the two of them. That would be nice. "I don't know, though, maybe we really should eat some real dinner first since you haven't eaten all day --" she started, then paused for a second, her eyes growing wide as she looked across the room. Then, all very quickly, she continued, "Never mind found candy let's go get some I see chocolate!" She was already tugging the poor boy along -- Sandra was just a very excitable person.

OUTFIT.
Devin tilted his head, portraying his confusion about, well, the confusion. He was a gamer at heart but his games were geared more toward first person shooters and maybe a few that were sports related if he was in the mood. He knew about Pokemon--he had seen the show a few times and could even admit to seeing the first movie--but the handheld games were not something he ever took up. The concept of the game was foreign. Still, the boy retracted his furrowed brows and smiled at her, shaking his head. "Well try and avoid hurting yourself if you can," He requested sweetly, patting her upper arm with affection. "Because I would be sad if you got hurt." He naturally worried about the safety of those he cared about and with how clumsy he was he knew that injuries could come from anywhere and at any time. Devin laughed and waved his hand, a bit of a nervous edge to his voice as he spoke. "I hope we don't piss anyone off...but if we do, then let's just hope my super speed kicks in!" He said it so cheerfully, as though angering someone and causing a potential fight was no big deal.
Everyone liked to hear complements, and the Earth graduate was no different. Even if he were the worst Ash Ketchum on earth, which was possible considering he was no where near as adventurous, he felt confident in his costume tonight because of Sandra. His smile was proof of that. "I'm glad you think so!" He chirped. It was fortunate that his costume did not require him to have a serious persona because he would not be able to manage that well, if at all. He gave Sandra a sympathetic pout and patted her head gently. Food would come soon enough. Good thing, too. Devin had waited all day to partake in the consumption of epic cooking and sweets. His girlfriend's scolding caused him to duck his head in shame and did not hesitate to give her a nod of agreement. "Yes dear," Devin mumbled, though it was hard to miss the affection in his voice. He knew that she was only looking out for his health and had the best of intentions. It made him feel loved. He eyed her with a childish quiver to his lip. "Last night...?" Feeling like maybe Sandra would become overly concerned the boy threw his hands in front of him and waved them back and forth frantically. "B-but really, I'm fine! I did it so I could enjoy the food at the party. I don't skip meals a lot, so...I mean..." Now he was a bit flustered with himself, embarrassed that he skipped eating and possibly worried his girlfriend in the process. Way to go, genius.
Their arguments were always lacking in the actual argument department. One or the other was usually smiling, or did not sound remotely serious, and if they were Devin's side was feeling guilty and remorseful over the whole thing. He sighed. "Okaaaay, Okay. Fine. I'm going to thoroughly enjoy stuffing my face with sweets." At her mentioning skipping breakfast, lunch, and dinner, though, he shook his head. "We can't do that! That'll mean missing out on good food! And that's just wrong." He was lucky that his metabolism was till kicked into high gear, otherwise he would be rolling around in a wheelbarrow completely unable to function on his own and carrying with him three hundred plus pounds. He chuckled and nodded, holding her hand lightly as they walked and ate. The cupcake was gone by this point, now a smudge and crumbs on his happy face. Just as he parted his lips to agree with her on the subject of dinner, Sandra became overly excited and cut him off before he could even say 'okay'. His hand became a means of towing him across the room and towards the candy.
"Okay, okay, candy it is!" Devin managed through laughing, only stopping in his little jog whenever she did. The candy did look really good. I'm going to have a severe stomach ache after all of this... No real food and all sugar? That would end well. His hand dove into the bowl, coming out with a handful of random goodies. "I bet you..." Hands worked to open up a piece of brightly wrapped chocolate as he talked. "That I can eat more chocolate than you. What do you want to wager?" He wiggled his eyebrows in challenge and popped the candy into his mouth, savoring the smooth chocolate as it melted. An eating contest was certainly the perfect idea for the two of them.

"Never mind I guess," she said with a giggle, realizing she had lost him, poking his cheek lightly when she saw his somewhat confused expression. "It's a Pokemon game thing. I'll show you sometime!" It probably wouldn't be that hard to dig up one of her older games and get one of her own Pokemon confused -- or, possibly, find it on the internet somewhere. People uploaded all kinds of things all the time. "And I usually don't try to hurt myself, it just kind of happens!" she explained with plenty of unnecessary hand gestures and waves all over the place. That was probably why she accidentally hurt herself, if she actually thought about it. "You have super speed and never told me?" she asked, trying to look completely appalled at this lackf of information sharing. Maybe that was how Devin managed to get all his assignments done and handed in on time, despite, uh, never doing anything for school Then again, that was one thing they shared, and Sandra was pretty certain she didn't have super speed. "You really are a superhero after all!" she sang, smiling a little cheekily at him.
Though she was still adamant that he shouldn't skip meals, Sandra deflated once she saw the look on his face, even through the softness in his voice, which indicated that he probably wasn't really upset or annoyed or anything with her. She was glad, at least -- she really was just trying to make sure he was always okay, and she wasn't sure she'd describe that feeling as being "upset". The both of them were pretty bad at being upset with people in general, actually. "Good," she mumbled back, putting an arm around him. She didn't like almost-fights, not that this was close to that at all. It was the two of them being the same as they always were. "I know, I know, I know!" she said, heaving a deep sigh when he tried to explain himself, and she took both of his hands to stop him from waving them around like the panicky guy that he was. "Just try not to skip meals like that, okay? Next time I'll have to... to come and... feed you." She said it threateningly, as if it were a punishment, but that was a very weak threat. Besides which, she was very bad at sounding scary, and she was sure it was just funny instead.
She thought about all the wonderful things they could eat for the other meals of the day, and then decided that perhaps it would be a good idea after all to eat the other meals of the day. "I guess the other meals are good too," she said, sighing. "But there should be more desert! All the time!" She would love to follow every meal up with something sweet and lovely and even more filling -- but then again Sandra just loved food of all sorts, all the time, in general, and she didn't even really care when she had these meals or what they were called as long as she got food. Mostly, when she didn't have a schedule that was run by school or her brother, she ate when she got hungry... which was frequently. "Yessssss, candy!" she said with far too gleeful a grin, almost dragging him along after her. She had already stuck half one of the little chocolate bars into her mouth when he proposed the bet. "Ooooh, you're so on! And totally going down. I'll bet you..." She thought about it for a second, ending in a fit of giggles before she was able to continue. "Five kisses. And not the chocolatey Hershey's ones, either." Sandra tried to wink but mostly just ended up laughing instead, before popping the other half of the chocolate bar into her mouth. Oh man. She wasn't sure who'd win, actually -- both of them were pretty darn good at packing away food.

OUTFIT.
He wrinkled his nose and closed his eyes as Sandra poked his cheek, making him chuckle. "Okay! It'll be fun." It was strange to think that, as a gamer, there were some bigger games that he was not all too familiar with. Like Pokemon. Any first person shooter game was at least logged into his memory but the RPG's were lost on him. That was fine though; Devin was not going to hurt himself to try and know everything. Too lazy for that. "I know, I know," He chuckled and nodded. "You and me are two clumsy peas in a pod." The boy could fall up stairs and trip over oxygen, like a boss. No one could match his skills. Well, except for Sandra. They went to the medical wing quite a bit. There was a mysterious air to him as he shifted his eyes back and forth. "It was meant to be a secret," Devin half whispered. "You can't tell anyone." Just like every superhero had a secret identity, he kept his special abilities to himself. Not that this conversation was even remotely serious. He flashed her a smile and nodded.
A sigh passed his lips as Sandra wrapped an arm around him, his height only giving him a few inches advantage when he rested the side of his head on hers. He liked that he had someone to worry over him. Judith and Athena did on occasion but they were family. They were supposed to ask after well-being and health and school. Sandra did so without the family label. He felt special. As he flailed, all it took was her hands on his to make him stop moving. His blue eyes were wide with the surge of panic but it was beginning to fade. He sighed softly as he lowered his hands enough to look at her. "...but..but what if I want you to feed me? What if all of this was just a way to get you to feed me?" Devin asked, blinking and attempting to look as innocent as possible. The facade shortly broke after as he laughed. "Okay, so I'm not that lazy. Maybe." He was a lazy bum when it came to a lot of things but in the same token he enjoyed feeling those spurts of independence as well. Even if it was simply picking up food and putting it in his mouth.
They were a match made in heaven. They both loved food, were lazy, and were extremely affectionate, cuddly people. Devin knew he could not find a better person to be his 'other half'. "You know what, there should be! We'll need to stock up on all sorts of sweets, and keep them in a bag. And after every meal we'll eat some." What an image. He tried to envision them carrying around an extra backpack or a plastic bag full of those little cakes, brownies, cookies, and other delicious treats. One day their food consumption would probably come back to haunt them. Sandra's delight over the candy was incredibly amusing, the boy willingly being dragged across the room. "I'm not going down, you are! No one can beat me at my own game," Devin crowed with delusional confidence. Her giggling threw him off a little bit, but her wager only created a wider smile. "Not the Hershey kind, eh? I can handle that. Sounds like a win-win situation to me." That way, no matter who lost the game, both would still get the good end of the deal. At least Devin thought so. An excuse to kiss his girlfriend? Hell yeah.

When focused enough, Sandra was surprisingly not that clumsy -- but put together with the typical tiredness (every time was a good time for a nap) and the fact that she was easily distracted, it was all just a big mess of things that led to Sandra hurting herself pretty frequently. She didn't know what Devin did to wind up injured, but considering how the two of them operated so similarly, it didn't bother her at all so long as he didn't actually seriously injure himself and wind up incapacitated... lying on a couch unable to get up again, for instance. Then again, that day had led to pretty much everything else up to today. "The best peas. Way better than those carrots." That was a mostly pointless comment, but she really did hate carrots. Gross. She mimed locking up her lips and throwing away the key, nodding furtively in response to his whisper. "Secret? What secret?" she asked innocently before laughing a little. "Don't worry. Your secret identity's safe with me. You could share your super speed though, you know," she pointed out with a pout, nudging him lightly in the ribs.
She cocked her head to one side. "Then that's a very silly way to get me to feed you, you know," she told him, not falling for the innocent look for a second, but they were just kidding around anyway and she didn't think it was meant to be convincing in the first place. "I would feed you anytime you wanted." She wasn't too great in a kitchen or anything, but a couple of years of Home Ec had helped her out, and honestly, living in an apartment with her brother had, too -- even though he did most of the cooking, she'd picked up a few things from having to fend for herself occasionally. Either way, she'd hopefully be able to shove some food in his mouth if the need arose... but fortunately, he probably liked food enough to be able to get it himself -- except today, apparently. They'd fix that soon. "I don't know, if I could have someone feed me all the time I'd do it..." Well... okay, she was joking, but she wouldn't mind having a personal chef around all the time. All she had was her brother and that was hardly ideal -- mostly because she actually felt bad if she asked for too much from him. She wasn't entirely selfish.
The idea of carrying around a bag of sweets was equally tempting and gross -- mostly because she was sure all the cakes and what-not would smush together and make a great big ball of bag-flavoured nothingness. Ew. At the same time, who didn't want a bag full of desserts? Sandra loved sweet things of any kind. "Let's do it! Next time I'll bring a bag and we can grab some cookies and cupcakes and... stuff," she concluded with a flail of the arms, aware that she might not be making sense anymore. The excitement did that to her sometimes -- often, actually. Devin was probably used to it. "Nuh uh, you're definitely losing. Go ahead and try!" she challenged, giving him her toughest look, which wasn't very tough at all. "Probably, but it'll be a win for me too," she said, laughing a bit. She was all about fairness -- there was nothing that she wanted from Devin in particular as far as "prizes" went, so this was just fine once she won. "Should we time it, then? Most chocolate eaten in like... fifteen minutes?" she asked with a goofy grin, pulling out her phone to use as a stopwatch. "Since we do need to get some real food in you later." Even in the excitement of all the candy and the sweets and the party in general, she hadn't forgotten about that. It was pretty important.

OUTFIT.
"Oh yes, so much better than carrots. Green is where it's at." Then he thought for a moment and added, "Unless we're yellow peas. But still it's better than orange." He nodded, smiling all the while. They always did have the silliest conversations, but he enjoyed them. He was not naturally a serious person. Devin wanted happiness and laughter and positivity, not doom and gloom. The real world was inevitable and unavoidable but why seek that out? Tonight was a night full of fun so he would going to embrace it. Even if it involved talking about peas and carrots. He blinked. "How can you talk after you've locked your lips and thrown away the key? That takes talent." He chuckled and held his ribs as she nudged him, pretending to be hurt by her 'physical abuse'. His lip trembled slightly. "No way! I can't share my super speed. Super powers can't just...be transferred like that." Could they? Hell if he knew. Devin did not read a large amount of comics--nor did he keep up with super hero movies--but he was pretty sure sharing super powers was a no no.
He was not attempting to be serious, not at all. It was good that Sandra managed to catch on most--if not all--the time when he was fooling around. Saved him from having to explain himself, at least. "Silly is my middle name!" He exclaimed with a bright, shameless smile. That would be such an odd middle name, he thought randomly. For a brief second his train of thought led him to wonder if any parent ever dared give their kid the name Silly. Her offer to feed him caught his attention. "Pfft, you don't have to do that. At least not right now. Maybe later this week you can." He lifted his eyebrows to see what she had to say to that. He liked Sandra's cooking. Devin was a good cook for the most part but he enjoyed home cooked meals that he did not have to slave over as well. Only if she wanted to cook for him though. He would never make her do anything she did not want to do. It was not in his nature to be pushy or forceful on anything. He was too much of a softie for that. "Only if they did it for free. I can't afford to pay to have people feed me." Oh, if only money grew on trees. Then he could have a houseful of people to make his food, do his laundry, clean the house...although Judith did a good bit of that work already. He would rather hire someone to do it though. His aunt deserved a break.
Lugging a bag full of sweets would probably turn a few heads and raise a few eyebrows, but Devin didn't care. They could finally satisfy their sweet tooth without having to worry about running out of baked goodness! What a wonderful idea. They were full of them, it seemed, and every single one involved food. "Yeah! And we can share it with anyone who wants some too. We'll be like the lollipop kids in Wizard of Oz." That was best comparison he could come up with. Not too far off base, he supposed. He put on his game face. "I will try! And I will win!" It was all false confidence, a little back and forth for fun. And considering it was kiss related there was really no definite winner and loser unless one of them hated kissing. Which would be weird. "Fifteen minutes? Damn, that's a long time. But okay! Let's do this!" He sat down and crossed his legs, dropping a handful of candy into his lap and waited for her to join him. Real food would definitely have to come after this and he nodded in agreement before glancing at her phone anxiously. "You ready?"
