CELEBRITY CLAIM Cody Simpson
EYE COLOUR Brown
HAIR COLOUR Blonde
HEIGHT & WEIGHT 5'7, 129 lbs
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES He has a pretty distinct birthmark on his right shoulder blade, but he can't pretend it looks like any actual shape. Other than that, there isn't much that's distinguishing about him.
CLOTHING STYLE He dresses pretty nicely for a thirteen-year-old boy, actually, but he is well aware that that's not saying very much. For the most part he likes simple t-shirts on any given day, but when he wants to look a little sharper (to impress the girl sitting next to him in Math, maybe) he goes for collared shirts -- to get dressier yet, he also has some suit jackets and the like. In summer he's rarely seen without sunglasses, and in winter he typically has a hoodie thrown over whatever he's wearing.

POSITIVE TRAITS
- FUNNY Except for the times when he tends to get a little bit mean with ihs humour, Lucas is pretty good at interpreting the situation and finding a joke to go along with it. He just likes to make people laugh, and thankfully turned out to be pretty damn good at it. Lucas rarely passes up an opportunity to crack a joke.
- SOCIAL He likes to talk to people! He can usually be seen around a crowd, actually, or chatting with someone or other if there aren't enough people he knows around. He's rarely afraid to approach a stranger, unless he has reason to, but fortunately he was blessed with being a Wind -- there aren't too many people who will dislike him out of principle of his actual element. The rest of his personality, of course, is fair game, but Lucas is enjoying this ability to talk to everyone without repercussion thus far.
- CONFIDENT Confidence is one thing Lucas has no shortage of. It isn't so much that he suffers from what so many teenagers suffer from (that is to say, thinking they're the shit), but he does know his good points and he's pretty good at highlighting them. As for a few of the weaker points, he's accepted them, but he downplays them for the most part when thinking of himself. He knows what he's good at, and there's no need to get himself down thinking about all the bad parts.
- WELL-MEANING He's not a very conventional nice, but it's there nonetheless. He really does try to be a good guy and what-not -- he wouldn't generally intentionally do something to actually harm others. There's some playing around, but overall he's not the type to go around trying to ruin other people's lives or anything like that.
NEGATIVE TRAITS
- INSENSITIVE Though a funny guy, he doesn't always realize that sometimes his jokes are being made at the expense of other people, and that this can kind of upset them. He rarely actually does it on purpose, except in the case of his family, in which case it's free game and he pokes their buttons for fun. Otherwise, however, he mostly manages to offend people accidentally, which can be a real problem for him, but he doesn't often realize that what he's saying is potentially insulting.
- TEMPERAMENTAL Hell hath no fury like the spoiled thirteen-year-old who doesn't get his way. Alright, so Lucas actually isn't nearly as bad as many, many other people, but he's certainly not what most would consider a nice, sweet kid. He doesn't often get angry to the point of starting to curse people out and push them around, but he annoys easily and will quite frequently turn to rolling his eyes, raising his voice, and generally taking on a pretty lousy attitude when things start turning toward the worse for him. All in all, it's not very pleasant for anyone; even Lucas himself starts to feel pretty lame and bad about it, but he's still never been able to actually control the mild temper.
- SELFISH Though he tries to, he doesn't really often think first and foremost that something may be good for other people, but he does generally think of benefiting himself. It's something that will improve with age, hopefully, but really he mostly thinks about the things he wants at any given moment -- a hundred dollars in his pocket would go toward a video game, not a charity. He is not, of course, beyond ever donating money or anything of the sort, for example, but it isn't the first thing that really pops into his mind. He tends to think of himself first.
- IMPATIENT He's a pretty active kid in the sense that he needs to be doing something all the time, and seeks immediate stimulation. When he doesn't get it, he tends to get irritable -- see the first two points.
LIKES
- video games
- cheetos
- joking around
- converse
- drama class, mostly
DISLIKES
- reading
- boring people
- mondays
- broccoli, cauliflower, etc. (it just looks really weird)
- silence (it makes his mind drift around)
STRENGTHS
- good sense of humour
- easiness in front of a crowd (eg. public speaking, making presentations)
- math, surprisingly enough
WEAKNESSES
- no patience at all
- his grades in school aren't so hot
- can't set goals (barely even knows what a "goal" is, actually)
FEARS
- becoming old and boring
- heights
- somehow losing his twin
BEST MEMORY Standing in line for hours on end to get Mass Effect 3 at its midnight release. He was by far the youngest person he could see there and nearly got trampled over by some huge dudes behind him, but boy did he have a story to tell (and a sweet game to play).
WORST MEMORY He wore braces from the ages of eleven to just around thirteen (luckily getting them off just in time to start high school, phew), but before that, he actually had to have two teeth pulled, ouch. Almost immediately after that, they were finally able to put the braces on, and then it was essentially two years of horrible pain every month he went to the orthodontist to get his braces tightened. (Plus, what was the point if he couldn't even chew gum for two years?)
LONG-TERM GOAL Lucas doesn't really have any, but his longest term goal is to beat Ninja Gaiden 3. He is so ready for all-nighters spent gaming, and he's so close he can taste it.

MOTHER Valerie Erika Garroway (48), Accountant.
FATHER Gavan Braden Garroway (45), Sommelier.
SIBLINGS
Wesley Braden Garroway (20), Student (Water).
Janessa _____ Garroway (18), Student (Thunder).
Carson Parker Garroway (16), Student (Water).
Seth _____ Garroway (13), Student (Wind).
OTHER Achelle Paige Garroway (48), neurosurgeon, and Renee Monicka Hartford (46), anesthesiologist: his father's ex-wife and her partner, respectively.
HISTORY Gavan and Valerie had been old friends at the Academy when they had both been students themselves, however many years back. After graduation they sort of went their separate ways, not really speaking much again for several years. In the meantime, both lived their lives -- they worked on their respective careers, Gavan got married and then divorced, and so on and so forth. It was only after the divorce that they really began speaking again, and one thing led to another, and Valerie became pregnant with twin boys. This was when they decided to get married, and subsequently the boys were born: Lucas and Seth Garroway, both bright blond and identical, essentially impossible to discern from one another, especially when they were younger and without properly distinct personalities yet. They lived in Saskatoon, which wasn't a very interesting place to live compared to other, bigger, more exciting cities -- but of course, as a child, this was of no concern to Lucas.
The twins, like their older half-siblings -- Gavan's kids from his previous marriage -- were never really left wanting for anything throughout their entire lives. In general, if Lucas wanted something, he got it. This made him, inevitably, a little bit spoiled, but hey, the kid pretty much had everything he could even possibly ask for. His family had money, he had all kinds of neat things -- toys and games and clothes and whatever other things became "cool" with the kids he knew -- he was a pretty popular dude by elementary school standards, and man, he had not just two but three (eventually four, basically) of the best, coolest, most relaxed parents either. His life was pretty good, truth be told. He was surrounded by good things and good people, and he tried to enjoy these things as often as he could. His parents, and Achelle, made this pretty easy for him to do, but most of his time was spent hanging around with Seth, or pestering his older siblings Wesley, Janessa, and Carson.
It was at the age of seven that said older siblings moved away to Maple Hollow with Achelle, taking away a pretty significant part of Lucas's life. Even if most of his time with them was spent being an annoying kid, that was practically his job. He didn't have very long to suffer the effects, however, of half of what he considered his entire family leaving. Within a few months, his life had been uprooted and moved elsewhere as well -- something that might have annoyed Lucas, but a child of seven or eight really didn't have that much going for him, even when his life was that good. It wasn't a difficult or displeasing move in the slightest, and he was after all just happy to be reunited with his entire family.
He was wary at first of Renee entering into his family life, because while Achelle wasn't his actual mother, the families had grown up so close, and were so obviously interconnected, it was weird welcoming a stranger in. His family had been very stable for a while, after all. It didn't take very long for him to adjust, however, and the family became just a little bigger again, now all of them still living not too far from one another in the relatively wealthy area of Maple Hollow.
Being the youngest along with Seth, he got to watch all of his siblings entering the Academy before he had the chance to, while he sat back impatiently and waited for his own turn. It was practically bound to happen -- all of his siblings were elementals, his parents were both elementals -- and he wasn't disappointed when, a few weeks following his thirteenth birthday, he was bored, playing basketball with his brother, when a pass gone awry caused him to... well, okay, he kind of just flailed his arms around a little in frustration, actually. Still, he was surprised to find that it actually worked, because one random, unintentional gesture of the hand later, and the ball was picked up by a gust of wind that caused it to slam pretty much directly into his brother, knocking him over. The first thing Lucas said was, "Oh my god dude, are you okay?" The second, not even a few seconds later (after he had made sure Seth was, in fact, okay, having landed on the grass), was, "Holy crap, did you see that? So cool!"
Only a few months later, he was moving on up to join his siblings at the Academy, with his twin brother at his side. The two had become quite different as time went on, but at least they got along decently enough. He's been here for a while now, though, and he's fitting in pretty nicely -- as nicely as a niner can fit in to his new high school, anyway.
