DISTINGUISHING FEATURES Alina is covered with various tattoos: a butterfly on her right forearm, agnus dei on her left arm, amicus human generis on her right arm, an ‘e’ tattoo on her foot (standing for ‘elemental’), and chinese symbol tattoos on the back of her neck. She also has many piercings, ranging from a belly button piercing to a tongue piercing, to lip piercing [though she rarely wears it], she mostly wears her labret. She tends to wear kandi bracelets over the faded scars on her arms, from when she used to cut. She’s most often seen with her ‘moon marks’ on her forehead…three little bindis arranged in a triangle above her glabella. Alina never has the same hair color in a row, ever. And she’ll color her hair a different color, every three weeks to a month. It’s just a habit. She feels she’s constantly changing, as are the wind patterns. Alina always wears make up – no matter what. She doesn’t feel she’s pretty enough with out it, just yet. She hasn’t found her inner confidence, it’s something she’s still working on.
CLOTHING STYLE Alina likes go wear things along the lines of Lolita or Bubble Goth. This includes tutus, baby doll dresses, elevator/spice girl shoes, fishnet stockings, anything by alexander mcqueen, collars, hair accessories like mini tiaras, and sometimes she’ll incorporate a little bit of Steampunk into her look as well. She actually really enjoys making her own clothes, it’s a skill she’s acquired over time. Along with that, she likes furry boots and sunglasses, and anything that looks like it came from a costume store – mostly Renaissance period though. She tends to lean towards anything ethereal.

BEST MEMORY Alina’s best memory has to be the small amount of time when her Nana took her in to help raise her. She and her Nana spent an afternoon sewing together Alina’s very own patchwork quilt, and it’s her most prized possession, she’d be lost without it.
WORST MEMORY Alina’s worst memory is anything that has to do with her mother. Her mother is a druggie, and a lot of the time, Alina would used to have to cover up for her mother so she wouldn’t be found by the cops. It led her to take care of herself quite a lot.
LONG-TERM GOAL Find someone who can love me for me and accept my element – hopefully meet an allie. Even if it’s just making a best friend, that’s all she wants.

MOTHER Meredith Emily Lexus (46), Unemployed/Self proclaimed druggie.
FATHER N/A [out of the picture, never met him].
SIBLINGS None.
OTHER Nana – Judith Renata Lexus (64), retired but volunteers quite a bit. Alina’s favorite person.
HISTORY Alina was born on a hot day in July. Not too hot, as it was just getting into summer, but compared to the rest of the summer, this was one of the hottest days. Though there was a slight breeze blowing through the city of San Francisco as Alina was brought into this world. Of course, she wasn’t welcomed with open arms. Her mother, Meredith, had gotten pregnant to one of her dealers under the influence, and Alina had been born early, smaller than a normal baby, because of complications from further drug usage. Her mother didn’t want her, she didn’t care about this baby and she was SO close to giving Alina up to the state. But Meredith’s mother, Nana, stepped in and declared she would care for the child who was so unwanted. She had disowned her daughter previously, not going to support her daughter’s life style and the way she was living. But she decided she’d get a second chance at raising a little girl, and maybe this time she’d do it right.
Nana raised Alina, taking care of her until she was six. It was then that somebody had put the (stupid) bright idea into Meredith’s head that she could get government help for food if she took Alina back in. Alina’s mother took her own mother to court to get custody of the child, claiming to be clean for over a year, and that she had the right to her own child. In a weird case of events, Meredith won. Nana was heart broken as her little girl was taken from her and put into an environment no child should live in. Alina was brought into a house where strange people came and went, and her mother barely paid any attention to her unless Alina needed something. She was sent to school and often got in trouble because she wasn’t prepared. Her homework wasn’t done, she was wearing the same clothes as the day before, she wasn’t paying attention in class. That was a big thing. Attention. She had been sent to the office and they had tested her, only to find Alina had an acute form of dyslexia.
The teacher had gone to Meredith about Alina, and Meredith hadn’t expressed any concern, claiming not all kids were bright in school and they didn’t need to be. Alina was kind of passed along grade to grade, having special little sessions outside of class to work on her reading and righting. This is where the bullying started, Alina getting teased because she couldn’t read the words very well and she never answered any questions in class. As much as Alina wanted to make friends, after a while she was just plain scared to. This led to a lot of time spent to herself, spending time outside, inspecting nature, listening to music, and doing her own thing. Eventually, a little before high school, Nana had won back custody of Alina after a surprise inspection, and the court ruled Alina’s mother was restricted from seeing Alina. Nana took her back in, and tried to teach her things herself. While Alina still struggled with school related things, she took up anything creative VERY fast.
Along with…something else. When she was around fourteen, Alina started finding weird events starting up any time it got windy. She’d get headaches on the worst days, and once when she was discouraged and frustrated with herself, she’d had a bit of a tantrum and had ended up blowing a candle out with her thought. Not her mouth, she hadn’t been anywhere near the candle. It was then Alina knew she was special. She had tried to mention things to her Nana, but her Nana had called it nonsense. After middle school, Alina and her Nana had moved up to Canada for a new start, and to be closer to other family. Alina had been contacted by a scout, telling her about the high school, and she had enrolled in January as a Freshman. It’s Senior year, and Alina is now very self-aware and knows exactly what she is. She’s not had much luck with the other people in the school, but she’s hoping this year things will change.

SECRET WORD Correct.
RP SAMPLEAlina had been having two of the worst weeks of her life. She considered her life to be pretty bottom of the bucket all the time. Her mother spent all the money Alina happened to have or her mother acquired somehow on drugs. Any kind the woman could get her hands on. Alina couldn’t even make someone comprehend how many times she had to cover up the smell of the drugs that clung to her clothes. Or how many times the cops got called because Alina’s mother would get kind of violent on the drugs and it resolved in Alina always having to stick up for herself. Mostly verbally. She had been called a no good leech by her mother many times, even if was Alina who was more of the parent. Alina was just glad she had no siblings who had to live through this with her. Though it would’ve made the pain of being unwanted fade away a bit, Alina would never choose this life for another human being. She would never want to teach someone to lie for their parent because their parent was living a washed up life and could do so much better. Alina had already lied to the cops about her mother’s drugs being ‘medicinal’ or that the neighbors had planted the stash in their house. At the time that had happened, she’d been a minor. She wasn’t a minor anymore, and she refused to lie for the woman anymore.
Not that she had a choice now. Because her mother had once AGAIN slacked on paying the rent, no matter how much money Alina had been trying to save up from selling things she found in antique and thrift stores, it was never enough. Alina had dropped out of high school her senior year because she couldn’t go through the stress of her mother and homework. She had been the silent one anyway because of her birth defect. Because her mother had been on drugs when Alina was born, Alina was dyslexic, and a tad bit ADHD. That made it even harder to get qualifying grades. And where Alina wasn’t a quitter, she knew she wouldn’t make it to graduation anyhow. Not like she would get into college when they couldn’t even afford a roof over their head. After the two had been evicted, Alina’s mother had moved in with some guy she had met…and hadn’t invited Alina along. It was more or less bye kid I didn’t want in the first place, fend for yourself. Alina didn’t care, she was a fighter, she would make it through. She’d spent the day collecting cans and bottles she found, and visitng a pawn shop before they closed to sell some of her and her mother’s things. They wouldn’t need them anyway. Storing her money in her bag of things she had packed, Alina had spent the night in a bus terminal before deciding she had a plan. A plan that was better than the lack of one she had before.
Alina had done one of the most impulsive things in her life, and had jumped on a bus headed to Honeybrook. Why the hell was she going there? Well…because none of her “friends” had offered to take her in, and had basically abandoned her like her mother. She hadn’t had many friends to begin with, she had taken to talking to her plushies instead. Because they listened better. After arriving, Alina had taken to walking. Getting a feel for the town, finding a motel and renting it for a night. It was expensive even for one night, but she needed to get things together. It was survival of the fittest now. She’d slept, well into the afternoon, before her stomach rumbled. She’d failed to eat anything with all this going on. Leaving her things in the room – knowing she’d have to return before midnight and collect them – Alina went to find something to eat. Walking past restaurants, one particular one caught her attention. She was a vegetarian, and this menu offered that option to her. Healthy stuff. Probably expensive, it looked fancy as shit, but Alina didn’t give a care at the moment. Heading in, she moved to sit at a booth, taking out her change and counting it. She’d get the least expensive thing on the menu, scrounge on tip, and never return. Sighing slowly, she moved a hand over her hair a bit. This was stressful, this being homeless shit. She waited to be waited on, her feet resting on the chair in front of her.
