POSITIVE TRAITS
- Civil- She won't start a fight, but if you start one first, she sees it as permission to not hold back.
- Loyal- She doesn't band together with people often but she'll keep her allegiances when promised.
- Keeper of Secrets- She won't ever tell a secret, but only if she's specifically told to keep your words a secret.
NEGATIVE TRAITS
- Curious- She loves to practice her element and sometimes provokes others to see their element and see how it reacts with hers
- Planning- She likes to keep everything in an order, and though she knows that sometimes life gets in the way of plans, she often gets pissed if people knowingly screw up her careful plans.
- Reptilian- She often thinks with her reptilian brain or left side. She's rational, blunt and clear cut. She doesn't have time for artistic crap and is a bit cynical and uncaring.
- Intimidating- She's tall, often keeps to herself, and often has a severe look on her face when unaware. The fact that the look disappears and a pleasant unassuming face replaces it the moment she's addressed often make people think that she's hiding something.
- Hold A Grudge- She may not be quick to anger, but if you do offend her, she'll hold it against you until, at least in her mind, you're even.
- Easily Annoyed- She has an average amount of patience, as she likes to think, but it just means that she'll hold back on any outward appearance of her annoyance. Don't be surprised is she randomly snaps at you, it just means you've been annoying her for a while now.
LIKES
- Green Grapes
- Genuine People
- Learning- Only random fact people want to know. She doesn't care if the current species of monkey evolved in a slow drown out process from ancient bacteria before the Earth was made, or other.
- Music- The only art she can tolerate
- Sleeping
- Thunderstorms
- A Peaceful Atmosphere
DISLIKES
- Secrets- Just between people she's close to
- Overly-Enthusiastic People- It's annoying. Stay still and be quiet.
- Long-Term Responsibilities- Repetition is a droll thing, don't you think?
- Assumptions- She may judge, but she gives people a chance. She expects the same thing in return
- Close Relationships- Too worrisome if something bad happens to the person
STRENGTHS
- Observant
- Problem Solver
- Bilingual
- Passive-Aggressive Leader - Will become a leader if needed, but not willingly going for the position
WEAKNESSES
- Solitary Person
- Quick to Believe Things
- Easily Tempted If Not Prepared Beforehand
FEARS
- Death- It's not the usual pang of fear most people feel. She'll go into a panic attack if she thinks about it too much. It branches from the fear of:
- Losing Her Family- She's very protective, especially of her younger sister. It kills her to think of losing her little sister because she knows that once her parents eventually pass on, Ashley's all that she has left.
- Walking/Unbalance- A real psychological fear. Just thinking of walking in high places or over a glass floor above even the first story makes her hyperventilate on the ground. Not to be confused with a fear of heights.
BEST MEMORY Her and her family were around the fire on Christmas. Playing board games, reading books, watching TV, or opening presents. It didn't matter which because they were all together, more connected than they have been for a long time.
WORST MEMORY Before she came to the academy, she lived in Florida. Even back then she was pretty distant and quiet, though she was a bit more open than she was now. She was closest with a small group of friends. She remembered the panic and uproar among the group when one went missing. They still haven't found her. She doesn't even want to imagine her still being alive.
LONG-TERM GOAL Go to college. Be successful. She hasn't really thought it out yet.

HISTORY Delora was a naturally shy person, but as she grew older, she became more relaxed and mellow. She was always a bright kid, could play the Viola and was bilingual, and wanted to go to a big university and be successful. She always wanted to be able to support her family.
Her family was not the happy little family she always thought it to be. Right before she entered the academy, she found out from her mother that her father had been stealing money from the family to fuel some still unknown obsession, be it drugs or gambling. She once again become distant, but not in a shy way.
Once she thought things were getting better, her best friend went missing and it hurt her just as hard as her family almost falling apart because her best friend was like a sister to her. She mostly kept to herself and is a solitary, cynical person, though she still holds that deep rooted compassion that she's had since young.
Her solstice is her viola, and thunderstorms, something that was common in her old Florida home. Since thunderstorms were so common, it took Delora and her family a little longer to notice the strange occurrences that were happening. After her friend disappeared, restless tossing and turning fueled by her panic was only amplified by the power going out. This happened a few times in the days after before Delora's parents started watching her more closely. She'd play a song close to her and the power would go out. She'd get frustrated with a math problem, something she was normally good at, and lightning would flash through the air in that last burst of frustrated anger.
It was when Delora kept shocking people that her parents sat her down to tell her of her control of what was electricity. She thought her parents were nuts. It was just at the end of the summer, when she'd get to see her friends more regularly and her parents were talking about moving her to Canada! What pushed her over the edge was that they wouldn't let her go to New York with her school, but already setting up her visa to study in a different country... alone... Because they thought she was a magical elf, oh, excuse me, elemental.
When she fully calmed down, which wasn't until she was already on the plane that would cross the border, that she began to think of the idea with an open mind. Which lasted all of five minutes. She didn't think of this as being remotely real until she enter the academy, seeing the Earth students practicing outside... Making flowers sprout from the unpaved earth. She thinks she fainted because all she can remember after that was waking up in a strange bed thinking 'So... Lightning, huh?'.

RP SAMPLE((Something I just wrote for another site. For a little background, I'm a Sidhe (same thing as an elf) who's attuned with the animal species: crow. This takes place in a semi-post apocalyptic world.))
A bird's screech cracked through the silent afternoon. It was almost odd how quiet the streets have been since the global changing of the world. There were still noises, because humans loved to never shut up, but there was a distinct lack of the mechanical sounds that could be heard even by the Sidhe beneath the earth.
"Yes, I have to do this. Now stop whining or go fly into a moving bus or something." Even as Kala said it, both she and the crow knew that it was an empty threat. Even the animals realized that something had changed, and they were becoming braver, coming through civilization's unmarked boundaries.
And they felt like they owned the place. At least that was what Kala thought as the crow screeched again. Didn't the thing understand that it was giving her a migraine?
"No there isn't a safer way to do this, and no, the magical moving things will not move if I just press the glowing button. Elevators need electricity to run and the-" Kala stopped speaking, knowing that she already had the bird confused. Crows were not unintelligent, she knew, but it had no idea what to make of the terms she was using. Besides, she needed to concentrate on not falling down ten stories.
"And plus, Maggie needs it. She's paying me quite a bit of coin for a love potion," she finished as she grabbed onto the windowsill above her, using what upper body strength she had to lift herself up. "All I need is a dove's feather!" It was just that the one she had set her sights on was set a ways up the unfinished apartment complex in an abandoned construction zone.
The crow seemed to give her a look. "You know that this one had the least chance of being touched. Maggie wants a pure love potion, you know. None of that lusty stuff," she whined as she angled herself toward a another window. This one she nearly missed, for the sills on that level hadn't finished being constructed. She was panting heavily now, more of a natural reaction to almost dropping to the concrete that was so far away than from tiredness. She scrambled into the window, almost falling through a hole in the floor, before fitting her frame into the opening once again, this time aiming for a scaffolding.
Kala continued climbing in a similar manner for a good twenty minutes before reaching the dove's feather, just managing to snatch it out of the air as the wind began to get at it. Stuffing it in her pocket, she sighed, making her way, back into the unfinished building, the flooring more spotty than before, and began walking... walking... walking...
Right through a hole in the floor.
Kala straightened from her crouched position on the lower level and looked up at the startled bird that was screeching in a panic were she stood before. "Are you still here!" The young woman screeched, not unsimilar to the crow's in its shrillness. She looked around her for a moment before glancing back up at the bird. "You didn't expect me to do something stupid, did you?" She narrowed her eyes for a second, before shrugging and only stating to the bird, "Are you coming or not?" before continuing to go down from floor to floor until she reached a place where she could access the beginnings of what were to be stairs, its completion long forgotten.
