You know those classes that you have every now and again that are just so exciting that you can't contain yourself and you just need to get up and dance with joy. Well, this may or may not have been one of those classes. Well, in all honesty Kiya really couldn't remember what had happened for half of the class, it was more of a class where it was interesting one moment and then dead boring the next, if you know what I mean. It wasn't like she wasn't paying attention or anything, it was more the fact that Kiya was just in one of those stages where she just wanted to sit and talk to people! Well thankfully it had come to that part lesson where the teacher had has enough of you and just decides to give you want you want, just to talk and not stop. You know, like a normal person would. Kiya may not have be your average teenager, considering everything, but she still loved to talk to those who she kept close. One of those people just happened to be sitting near here in the current classroom. Israel, or Issy, and Kiya had been friends ever since Kiya had come to the academy, because they are just awesome like that.
More than anything Kiya saw Issy as more of a older brother than anything. After moving away from her family she really was alone at school and Issy was like her older brother, Richard. He was always there for her and it was just amazing for her to have someone like that. "Okay guys, for the last 20 minutes of class you can talk amongst yourselves." You want to know something. That was the best thing that anyone could have heard at this point. It wasn't that she wasn't liking what the teacher was saying, it was more that she really couldn't be bothered try to listen to what she was saying. Kiya looked around the classroom to find her friend and as soon as she did you couldn't help but laugh at the smile that she had on her face. It wasn't that she was excited to talk to him, it was just that she was excited to talk to him. Once everyone had started moving around Kiya got out of her seat, moved over to Issy and sat next to him while saying, "Issy, what is up my friend?"

it couldn't be said that issy was smart. he was the farthest thing from smart. he was so far from smart that he could see it across the strait of gibraltar. maybe that was just a little unfair. he had his smarts in other areas. he was more street smart, even though that may have actually been going a little bit too far considering that he wasn't very keen on others feelings. or very observant, either. but he wasn't completely lost. it wasn't even the reason why he'd been held back, that had been due to the fact that he'd gone through something traumatic last year. what made up for his lack of brains was his hard work and his determination, but all of that had just disappeared after the accident. he didn't feel like doing anything, or accomplishing anything. he didn't think any of it was worth it then, so consumed by his brother's death that he couldn't see his way out of that mindset. now it was different, he was a lot healthier in mind and body. and he was doing better in school.
right now, though, he was doodling on paper. it was never the best idea to get distracted in class, but his mind always ended up elsewhere when he was trying to focus. that was another problem of his, attention deficit. he was flighty and had to admire people who could stay focused on one thing and get their work done, whereas he was always looking for excuses and ways out. his father surely didn't appreciate that, but he didn't know much about it. even though the man was always so cold to him, israel wanted to impress him. flunking the eleventh grade had not been in his plans to do so.
the teacher decided to let them have some time to talk to each other and he grinned. now that's what he liked! he looked over to see kiya grinning at him, and waved back at her. the wind boy didn't have many friends, and kiya was the only one he had in this class. so he was glad when she came over and asked what was up. "i was drawing a pretty picture," he informed her, sliding the picture across his desk. it was a doodle of a guy getting electrocuted by touching a doorknob. he shrugged. "don't ask, i got bored." he was pretty artistic, he mostly painted, so it wasn't a terrible drawing or anything. it was just strange, but he was sure a lot of people thought of him as a strange guy since he didn't talk all that much. "got all your homework done?" issy asked her, regarding the rest of the day. he knew he was a procrastinator, he was a pro at it as a matter of fact.

Something was always different when it came to Kiya and her friends. It wasn’t like they were completely weird or anything, but at the same time you could say that they were just so awesome that they could be called weird. Issy was one of those friends, though at the same time he was also one of those friends that she felt like she was able to talk about anything with. Which was always a great thing when you thought about it. Kiya was always someone that needed that one beyond amazing friend that she could do that with and she defiantly felt like Issy was that person. Considering that and the fact that he was always that person who was trying to set her up with guys and they were always really cute! That was one of the more un-seen upsides to having him as a friend. With that, he was always there to help her with her school work when she needed it and he would just be there for her, every now and again. It so awesome to have someone like that, and for Kiya is was one of the more amazing things to have happen!
As soon as she had gone over to sit with him she knew that her day was about to improve! It was always like that when she talked with the elder wind boy. “dude, show me!” A pretty picture was always a pretty picture and was always amazing. You couldn’t say anything to change most peoples mind about this fact. She had always been bad a drawing but just doodled when she got really bored during a class or when her games where loading during the night. Though as soon as he had asked whether or not she had done her homework Kiya couldn’t help but laugh and try to look away. Even though the two of them had been friends for a while, it was still funny when he asked stuff like this. “The day that I start doing all of my homework will be the day that pigs fly through the window!” More so meaning that it was never going to happen, even though she had started to do some of the assigned homework when she had gotten back to her dorm, but she only got about half of it done before she had gotten bored and started buying a game. “What about you? You got it done?”

israel admitted to himself that if he didn't have friends, he would be a lot more productive at school. especially if they were in the same class as him. who could resist holding full conversations while the teacher does the lesson? absolutely no one. even when he didn't share classes with his friends, he just had to text them. he didn't make friends easily, but he bugged his little group a lot. he just wanted to show them how much he loved them. the wind boy turned his paper to reveal his magnum opus and said, "i call it 'static electricity's a conniving bitch'." it was the reason that in his aunt's carpeted apartment building he never opened any of the doors. at least, with his bare hands. if he had sleeves, he pulled them up. it may have appeared like an act of a germaphobe to anyone watching, but he had gotten shocked too many times to risk touching any metal without protection. "totally up for requests." he'd even frame them for the requester, add a fancy little label with his name, sign the back of it to make it more personal. he imagined he was on the level of calvin and hobbes, but he knew just how many people were better than him. it was those people he admired.
issy blinked as if totally shocked by kiya's words. he leaned across, taking her hands in his while looking at her with pleading eyes. "but kiki, if you don't do your homework..." he bit the knuckle of one of his fingers before continuing, "you might disappoint your peers. like me. i am so disappointed right now." he shook his head, dropping her hand. he mentally patted himself on the back for his dramatics, adding that to his list of things that he can totally do like a pro. he was not as into drama as he was other forms of art, but he did acknowledge it as an art form. he cried every time he watched punch drunk love, which meant that there was certainly art in acting. then he snorted. "see what had happened was, i tried to get it done, but then the issy signal shot up in the air and i had to put on my cape and protect maple hollow." he shrugged. "no big deal. just killed a squid the size of a skyscraper." it's just what the boy did in his free time, vigilante justice. though he realized his mistake in telling his friend about it. hopefully she could keep a secret.

Something that was still very new to Kiya was actually having real life friends that were her age. I know that it sounds weird but it was true. At her previous schools she really hadn’t had much to do with anyone and up until the past couple of years she really hadn’t gone out of her room enough to have to many friends, which was for sure! Having someone like Issy in her classes every now and again was just what she needed to be just that little bit more informed about everything and he was a really good artist. “I can see where it got its name, that’s for sure!” Well, that was defiantly true. When you give a piece a name you always need to make sure that it reflects the actually artwork itself and as soon as Issy had started telling the classes that he was up for request’s she really couldn’t help but laugh. This got her thinking, with everything that he had drawn during their classes together she had never really gotten a picture at all! This was just one of those things that she never really thought of doing. “Hmm, you know how much you love me? I would totally take that off of your hands!” Well, it was always good to try. Better to try and fail then not try and fail because just, yeah.
Once he had started to tell her this he was just a little disappointed in her because she didn’t do her homework Kiya really couldn’t help but smile. It wasn’t just want he had said, it was also the fact that he had used the nickname that he had given her just a little after they had become friends. “but, but, Issy. I am sorry for disappointing you!” He had always said this sort of stuff when she didn’t do her homework or didn’t finish her assignments. She knew that is was because she just never did it but it wasn’t like she would try all of the time. Though, once he had admitted that he also hadn’t done his she also couldn’t help but laugh. Kiya was also knew that he could come up with the best excuses for not doing his homework, which was always something really funny to listen too. “Of course, don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone about your secret life!” Well, you could always trust your good friends, right!

israel wasn't big on gaming. it just wasn't really his thing, though he did play the ones that most people knew of -- he had them in his room, tucked away in the entertainment center. the boy could have any game he wanted, with how much money he had. well, he didn't have that money. his parents did. he arched an eyebrow at his friend's words about how much he loved her. pointing the eraser of his pencil at her, he said, "all righty then, i'll be sketching you next. move and you will become a deformed blob." really, that wasn't going to change much about the picture. he was no rembrandt. he was more picasso in his later years, eyes and noses everywhere. anatomy wasn't his best subject, that was for sure. he did much better in things regarding the creative mind, english and other subjects like that.
he pressed his pencil to the paper then, moving his eyes back and forth between her and his desk so he could get this just right. again, it wouldn't help. but issy wanted to keep up the image of an actual artist. "hush! you are a disappointment, and therefore i will draw you with a tear on your face, to represent just how sad you should be." it was then he realized how much power he had. he could give her buckteeth and frizzy hair if he wanted. but he wouldn't do that, because he wasn't about to ruin such a pretty face! he was pretty sure she was still single, and that was a damn shame. how could someone like her not have met the love of her life yet? "good, good," israel said distractedly about kiya keeping his secret. "however, i have to ask you about your secret life. so where's the boyfriend? girlfriend? whatevertheheckyoulike-friend? or i mean, life partner? you have one, right?" he looked her sternly in the eye. no, he was totally not being too inquisitive about her life, of course not.

Kiya’s daily life was something that was changing every day that she was either just sitting at her desk in her room at the academy or when she was just sitting in a class room talking to one of her really good friends about pictures, even more was getting drawn by one of her better friends in a classroom with heaps of other people. Kiya was really happy to have people around that weren’t just around because she was good at games or was sort of smart when she wanted to be, she was in a grade 12 class because she actually tried in one of her subjects. “I shall try my best just for you!” Well, the last thing that she would want was to turn out as a deformed blob. She had a feeling that Israel wouldn’t do something like that to her but it was also something she knew, that in the back her mind, he would do if she moved around too much.
In the back of her mind she knew that the boy in front of her was just joking but it was still the fact that she knew what he was talking about. It was something that was always mentioned to the wind girl because she was always really lazy and never got her stuff done! “I am so sorry! Please don’t make me look sad in picture!” It was something that she was joking about it was always something that she knew would never happen. At least she thought that she wouldn’t do something like that, it was always something that could happen. As soon as Israel had started to ask her about her private life she really couldn’t help but laugh. She knew that this was going to happen sooner or later, it was just a matter of time. “umm, how did I know that you would ask that?!” Well, it was true. “I don’t have a boyfriend, girlfriend, whatevertheheckIlikefriend or even a life partner. There was this guy but I don’t think that is going anywhere… and this is where you give me options right?”

israel's talents really did lie in helping with people's love life. for one, he was a gossip. he talked to his friends about all that was going on, finding out who was hooking up and who was breaking up. it was like he kept a mental ledger about all the goings-on in the dating world when it came to the academy. and if any of his friends were single and looking to mingle, he looked for someone else who was single and who would like to meet. if his friends were the ones with the drama, he was the one to help them out. maybe even a couple therapy. he liked mediating love. art wasn't exactly his field, though. he admired artists, loved them as a matter of fact, but he couldn't say he was the best of the best or that he had an intense passion for it. "it's gonna happen, you're gonna be a sad kiya. and i will title it 'the woman who is a disappointment'." that's how art seemed to be titled, something ironically uncreative and completely obvious. he knew enough from looking at art and studying it to understand that artists spent all their creativity on the actual artwork, then slacked off when they needed to actually name their work. israel supposed that it was the less important matter in the creation of artwork.
he blinked when she asked the rhetorical question of why she knew he was going to ask that. but then he grinned, realizing how true it was. "because it is me, guru israel," he said in an imitation of guru pitka from the love guru. he was planning to be that for halloween, as a matter of fact, considering kiya was very right -- how can one not expect the question of love from him, it was worrisome when he didn't ask after it. that would be the day someone had to slap him and ask what was wrong. or if it was an issy clone. he sat in contemplation as she spoke, tapping his pencil against his lips. "you have a wide range of options, actually," he said sagely. "you are beautiful, you are smart, and you have an in with many guys because of your gamer status." it was like he was building a dating profile for the girl, figuring out her compatibility with other people. "i say we get you out to a party to mix and mingle with people. nothing too wild, just a friend who is holding a little soiree. sound good?" he was sure he could find a party. he didn't have too many friends, but he had enough to know what was going on and when it was happening. especially since he stayed very connected with everyone he was friends with.

Sometimes Kiya had to think that this boy seemed to always knew what would get her going, her blood pumping. Even though it wasn't a bad thing, or anything, it was more of a in-between thing. You could tell that they two of them bad always been really good friends, which was always a bonus, but it was the fact that she knew. Well, knew that he was only joking around,..... half of the time. It was really good to have a friend like this! "I guess that I will have to face my crimes and that the title of this amazing masterpiece is correctly named!" Hmm, if she was going to admit that she was lazy than this would have to be the best moment to do so.
Kiya knew what this was going to be about as soon as she had brought up this sort of stuff. Being the type of person that she was, it was very often that she would get friend-zoned by guys because they are just weird. Many people are just like that apparently and it was just that little bit annoying for someone like Kiya who would love to have someone like that, at least before she graduated from the academy. Thankfully she had the talents of a man who worked like magic when it came to hooking people up, her good old friend Israel! She had just a little bit of a feeling that he had been wanting to so something like this for quite a while, which both scared and gave the girl just that little bit of hope.
If Issy could find someone for her than it would be a miracle but at the same time it would probably be the most amazing thing in the world. Even though sometimes he did tend to go just a little over board with things, not that she was complaining! "Umm, you are already going with the dating profile. This has to be good then, right?" Well, it was always a good thing to ask. Mainly when it came to Issy. He could do something and have it done in 5 seconds if you didn't keep an eye on him. As soon as the little 'party' had been brought up you could really see that he was serious about this and just a little bit of Kiya was excited about this! "Okay, so where is this party, are you willing to drive and how big do you think it is going to be?" These are the questions that you need to be asking when is comes to parties, or soirees as previously described. She had a feeling that this was going to be interesting.

he wasn't half as joking and genial when talking with just anyone. as a matter of fact, he was usually quiet. even when teachers called on him. he didn't even raise his hand usually because he didn't want to be called on. that had hampered him in the participation grade department, and it had helped in him being held back this year. the boy tried not to think on it too much, but he couldn't help it. he felt like a disappointment, to himself and his family and everyone around him. even knox had to be disappointed. he felt ashamed sometimes, because he felt like his crush was better than him in a lot of ways. at least not making friends. they were both not very good at it, as a matter of fact. it was another reason he connected so much with the earth graduate. another thing he tried not to think of though, because what if knox didn't return his feelings?
at this moment, his other friends were easier to think about. the ones that he didn't view...in that way. and he was happy to get kiya out into the world. issy looked out for his friends. even if it was just in the relationship sense. he liked them to be happy, to fall in love and just be wonderful with each other. love is a beautiful thing. he smiled wide at her comment. "oh hey, actually, let's make you a dating profile." he held his pen above his paper, ready to write down her traits. "now, what are the things you think are good about yourself?" it wouldn't do well if he just listed them off because that's all he saw from her. the boy didn't know kiya completely as a person, just how she acted around him.
she tapped the pen to his lips then. "also, i will be speaking highly of you at this party. i'm an awesome wingman." the perfect wingman, as a matter of fact. he was the pickup artist for every gender. well, he actually did better in mentoring relationships and helping people through them, but it applied.

This was something that she always expected when it came to Israel. She knew that he would want to have his own way with her love life eventually and a part of her was kind of happy about that. It wasn't like she was against it or anything. It was more the fact that she just wasn't into advancing on a guys, you know, like asking a guy out or anything like that. Kiya may have been quite a tomboy when you look at her and mainly when you see her in a hour long game of League of Legends but underneath all of that, the girl still wanted to have a guy fawn over her look any other girl out there, which was something that people didn't expect from her apparently. Then again, to most of her friends she was always just one of the guys, so Kiya really did dig herself a hole that she wasn't getting out of any time soon with her friends. Maybe going out with Israel was just the thing that she needed to actually find someone.
A dating profile, really? This was one of the only things that the wind girl though that she would never have to do in her life. This was also something that apparently was necessary to what her friend sitting in front of her was saying. Though with the question that he asked, she really had to get thinking, which was never a good thing. "Hmm, what is good about me?" The weird thing was, was that she actually had to think about this. It wasn't something that she had thought about on daily basis so she had to actually think about what she thought was good about herself. "Well, I am nice...." Okay, she really couldn't think of anything at this point and lying really didn't seem like a good plan B because Israel already knew enough about her that he would know. "And I guess I am understanding of guy things... umm" Yeah, she had nothing! "Can you think of anything?"
You could really tell, just by the way that Kiya looked, that she really didn't go to parties very often. Even just the way that she dressed in everyday life was a sign to that and for some reason she was just a little scared about what was going to happen when she got there. Of course she knew that she would be alright because she had Israel. Well, that was something that she was going to have to get over if she was to get a guy and by the north star she was happy to over come that. "And I would never doubt you for a second when it comes to the art of 'wingmanary'!" Israel was the master of course and doubting the master would be like not going on a small beginners run through of the game before going on hard core mode, that would never happen! It was weird but after this long talking, and thinking, about it Kiya was sort of excited to go, but she wasn't going to say that unless someone asked her about it. Of course.

the class was about to end so he figured that he would milk the time they had for this little dating profile. he would probably do very good in charge of a dating website. but it wasn't exactly what he was the best at. he enjoyed getting people together, but he was better at making sure that they stayed together. past the initial hookup, he wanted to make sure that people could last together. the honeymoon phase might make everyone feel invincible, but that only lasted for so long. and relationships were meant to last forever. in a perfect world, of course. he was a romantic through and through.
israel hoped she wouldn't spend too much time thinking about her question. he liked people to be confident in themselves. it was very important in a relationship. if you can't be confident in who you are and your good qualities, then there wasn't much hope for you in most areas of your life. he could list off the things he liked about himself very quickly -- polite, nice, understanding. those were his good qualities, the things that he would put on his dating profile. if he needed one, of course. he had a girlfriend. he wasn't on the market, but he was still helping other people out with their love lives. it was his whole deal.
so he was very disappointed when she couldn't come up with anything. she was a great person, couldn't she see? "you're funny, you're friendly, you're hot..." he jotted things down on his paper. looked like he was going to have to help her out a little more than he first thought he'd have to. he was willing to do a little bit of hand-holding, urging someone along. "it may be hard to know what you're good at in a relationship if you've never been in one before..." he trailed off a little, as if to imply that he didn't know whether she had had a boyfriend before or not. some people are very giving in relationships, no how to compromise, that kind of thing. and of course, there was the sexual things that one could brag about. of course, if she was a virgin, she wouldn't know yet. issy was at least smart enough not to ask after that.
[we can end this with yours or my post?]
