Her birth father had found her and was standing on the door mat with his arms wide open toward her.
WORST MEMORY She was twelve years old when her mother ran her across the Canadian American border and left her in an orphanage in Montana.
LONG-TERM GOAL As of right now, she honestly just wants to control her emotions enough to get a grasp on her element. As soon as she manages that, she wants to go college and make her father proud.

HISTORY For The most part, Laney thought she had a normal childhood. Her father was away on work most of the time, but she was so busy with her elementary schooling and just being a child that she didn’t really notice. She was determined to do her best even from a young age. She was punctual with her classwork and chores at home, getting them done in a timely and efficient manner. In fact, there were quite a few times she caught herself yelling at her mother because she had interrupted her while doing something she had put her mind to. Her mother had just assumed she had a small form of OCD, when in all reality the poor girl had emotional issues, mainly anger. If it didn’t fit into her set in stone plan, she freaked out in awful tantrums. Laney herself, couldn’t control them.
Three weeks after her twelfth birthday, her normal scheduled day was destroyed by her mother. She was pulled out of school and driven from her home in British Columbia, smuggled over the border to America and driven into Montana. Laney spent the entire time angrier than all hell, crying, screaming, the works. She needed to be back at school, doing her homework, and going to her classes. Her mother explained absolutely nothing to her. She merely walked her into a building, kissed her on the forehead and told her to behave herself, before leaving her behind.
From that moment on, Laney was passed around to multiple foster homes, booted out the door from one to the next do to her anger issues. No one wanted her because no one was willing to work with her. She was beaten up multiple times by different gaurdians because they didn’t know how else to deal with her issues. Laney began to shut everyone out, which just made things worse. On top of her anger issues and slight OCD, everyone began thinking she was just nuts and not worth their time of day because she stopped talking and weird things kept happening around her. Especially house fires.
On Laney’s fifteenth birthday, she had spent the majority of her day in her bedroom, hiding out from her gaurdian’s and the rest of the foster children. She found that she could keep her temper at bay and not catch anything on fire if she just stayed to herself. Around six o’clock, she made her way toward the kitchen for some dinner only to have the doorbell ring and be yelled at to answer the door. Keeping her mouth shut, she just nodded her head and answered the door. All though she hadn’t seen her father for over three years, she immediately knew who he was. And was she ever glad to see him.
Her father took her back to Canada and explained everything to her. Her mother had abandoned her across the border because she found out what her father was capable of (his thunder element), and she didn’t want her daughter to grow up with that, or learn them. So she took her in hopes of keeping her away from all of that odd stuff. Her father had spent every waking moment trying to find her and finally managed it after hiring thirteen different private eyes and detectives. Her father didn’t waste time when it came to helping her get a grasp on her element. With him being thunder and her being fire, she learned about the alliance, and what she needed to look out for. He tried his best to catch her up before sending her to the Academy, where she was placed in the tenth grade. She’s a little behind, but due to her extensive study habits, she knows she can at least catch up and stay with the rest of the class. And she’s more than willing to take the extra freshmen classes if it means she can catch up and be like everyone else. Normal.

RP SAMPLEChrissy was a very patient person that had no qualms about sitting quietly and very still. In fact, she was so used to sitting still that she grew accustomed to checking out her surroundings and see what other people were doing. Take for instance, the very twitchy female she had decided to sit next to this fine afternoon. She had her leg bouncing up and down so fast the energizer bunny would have been proud. However, Chrissy wasn’t going to say anything about it for fear of saying something rude, instead she would just sit there and observe.
The waitress came quickly with the plate the girl had ordered and they exchanged money as was the normal thing to do. Chrissy couldn’t help but eye the delicious looking BLT, her mouth salivating at the sight. Damn was she hungry. She played with her hair for a few seconds before resting her elbow on the table and chewing on the nails on her right hand quietly. She was slightly nervous, but nothing new. All she had wanted was to get her plate and scarf that sucker down. However, her line of thought was cut short by the sound of the girl next to her. You are? You are who? Oh right! Chrissy turned toward her and offered her a kind smile before answer, ”Uhm, Christina…. Chrissy… if that’s easier.” She shrugged slightly, not sure on what to say. Thankfully, she didn’t have to worry about saying much else because her veggie burger had shown up. ”Thank you, ma’am.”
Moving to bite down on her burger, she swallowed what she bit off and glanced back at the girl, ”W-what about you?”
