hi guys! this is caitlyn. she's happy to meet you. c: she's happy to meet most people, actually. she's a busy beaver and she's almost always running around doing something, but when she has her downtime (which is infrequently) she's pretty relaxed and likes to be around people. she's currently studying forensic science in college here at the academy, and she plays alto saxophone on the side as part of the academy's concert band. she's pretty intent on succeeding in both forensic science and music. she also teaches piano and plays volleyball with her team at the local rec centre, and she lives in town, if any of that matters to people. so generally, yes, she's pretty busy and rarely has time for herself, and it's not really helped because she's kind of soft-hearted and will pretty much do anyone a favour if people ask, so long as she's able to. she's also, however, very stubborn and set in her ways, mostly because she's determined to succeed. she's pretty independent and strong, all in all, and... other than that, really, she's not much, but she never pretends to be anything else.

friends will be a little bit tricky because she has so much to do. she loves to meet people, so i expect she has a huge network of acquaintances and friends just to say hi to as they're passing by, but she tends to put work before personal relationships and so it's kind of hard for her to make and keep really close friends. there should be a few, though! as for enemies, she doesn't generally love to hate on people or anything so i'm not sure how interesting this would be, but they're welcome to hate her. that would be fun, actually! she's not confrontational at all, but if pushed she might fight back. as for romance, her life is utterly boring right now. she recently broke up with a boyfriend because he was kind of too demanding and she really didn't have the time for that (and he's an npc, i believe, but he can be taken up by anyone's pre-existing characters if you like) and now she's kind of... just going through life. she's really not looking, either, so this is also tricky, but she'll probably stay single for... a while.

caitlyn & nell

same grade + same element = destined. nell is happy and energetic and friendly, so i see them getting along. she's got a bad rep for murdering her mother back in the states, and her family is pretty much running a smear campaign with that. caitlin will probably remind her of her fiancé with the business. xD nell plays tenor sax, so that is something they have in common! she also works at a concert hall and volunteers at a group home. her aunt who lives in the hollow is famous back in new york as a jazz singer, and she's a manager at the concert hall. their interests in music might be something to bond over. and nell in my head is just like "you mean detectives and stuff? and crime scenes?" with the whole forensic science thing so that'll get her interested. i just think they'd get along very well. nell would be understanding of her work ethic and just be there for her.

caitlyn & samson

sammy is a freshman thunder graduate. he's a mute and doesn't really...get out much. xD they would be enemies thanks to alliance, and he might mess with her a lil bit but not too badly. he's not very interested in earthies.

caitlyn & altair

altair is the twelfth grade fire leader. she's hot headed and reckless, not someone you can easily get along with. her ego is freaking huge, and her modeling contract doesn't help with that. these two are very much enemies. altair hates earth students very very much. she has a low tolerance for enemies and would very much like to troll cait.

caitlyn & yeager

caitlyn, meet your antithesis, yeager. he's a twelfth grade water and enjoys slacking off. however, he does have a job as a chinese deliver boy and his parents try their best to instill a good work ethic. he has two daddies, his biological mother, an adopted little sister, and a grandma living with them. yeager would be freaking confused by this chica and all the stuff she gets into. just totally confused. he'd try to get her to cool it, thinks it's too much stress. and since you said that she puts work before personal relationships, maybe he can be a little miffed because he feels like she's neglecting him? if you go for friends, of course. it would add a lil bit of drama.

These two are freaking kindred spirits with their work ethic. Joshua is a very loyal friend and forces himself to make time for his closest friends alongside his work but as a result he's never at rest and he tends to push his limits a lot. He'll neglect to eat and sleep when he's working which can be pretty funny because he won't even realise he's doing it. He's studying to become a physician scientist which is a doctor who also does scientific research apart from working with patients. I think these two would make great friends because they would understand one another and the fact that if they don't talk for two or three weeks it's because they're busy with other things and not neglecting the friendship. Maybe they could be close friends? Oh, before I forget, Joshua is a traitor to the Fires so he's on her side, engaged to miss Nell up there <3 So there'd be no concerns about the alliance!

See Ashton loves everyone and he loves to make friends but he's the type that wouldn't understand her work ethic and might not realise that she's not neglecting him, she's just working. So I could see him being like "Did I offend you in some way? Are you mad? Are you avoiding me? D:" LOL Ash is just a worry wart <3 Could be funny!

( lol i just think it's really hilar that the day after she's made and accepted, i get my satomi calendar in the mail. in other words -- you have excellent taste. 8| ) word, this is matt! and...well. idk. XD;; i can see this go a few different ways! they'd be in the same year, give or take -- matt went to the academy for high school and then opted to commute to a nearby college for illustration instead of sticking it out there, but since they are the same year, i think they'd prooooobably know each other pretty well? i just don't know how well. my image is that maybe he always saw her around everywhere back in high school but she was always on her way to a meeting or band rehearsal or something so they never actually talked much? i'm not really sure why they would talk now, but i guess it depends on like...where they see each other and how often they do, because eventually matt would just be like, "rah i see you everywhere so i'm going to say hi this time. hello!" and be really awkward and fail. (he apologizes in advance.) if we can find out how they'd meet and get to know each other, though, i can actually see them getting along really well? because at this point matt's entire circle of friends seem to be a bunch of college earth students, lol, and just the fact that they have personalities that mesh well but are different enough to not be clones of each other. like, matt's hard working but also likes his chill time. and matt is kind of throwing everything he's got into achieving the not-so-realistic dream of his, which is to illustrate for marvel comics. UH TL;DR BUT YEAH i see pretty decent friends when they actually get to know each other! 8D?

awwww yeah, same-age same-element friends! but also omg the music thing is definitely a seller lol. they can bond over playing (albeit different) saxophones! and the concert hall thing is pretty awesome, i like that. caitlyn would just be jealous all the time (but not really, she's mostly just happy for her friend). but yeah, that'd be something cait would find really interesting because she realizes it's probably hopeless but she does really want to give the music thing a shot. though she'd also be really... flattered, i guess, if nell expresses interest in the whole forensic science thing too. i don't know but it'll be cute! nell can definitely be one of those friends she's actually really close to, haha.

(i feel like this might just get altair angrier though, so maybe this could be interesting...)

aw, that's actually pretty cute that yeager shows, like... concern. i think we could definitely get a tiny bit of drama out of these two, because cait would... be flattered that he cares, but then be a little annoyed too that he thinks she can't handle her own life (or at least, i feel like that's how it'd be interpreted). and then of course he'd think in turn that she's just blowing him off for all this other stuff and then there's just bad feelings all around. :c hopefully they can pull out of that though, but yeah, i can definitely see that happening... a few times, actually.

JOSHUA

ooh, look at these busybodies, haha. ♥ yeah, that can definitely work! they're both doing the science thing, although in totally different areas, but i feel like there has to be some overlap between the two... oh, lol, i see joshua is older as well, but that's cool! i think it's the same overall, and the whole understanding that they both have things to do and just can't hang around one another all the time is definitely a good sign. cait can't really handle people who demand so much of her time. i can definitely see close friends! has he been a traitor for very long?

hmmm well, if my math doesn't fail me, i think they would have been in at least the same high school years? though of course if he's running on a regular college schedule they'd be in different years... sometimes... now, but that's okay! i can see that happening. how would they meet, do you think? hm... i'm guessing if he attends an outside college then he lives in town?maybe they just live in the same apartment building or something. c: or even if they just see each other at tim hortons or something like that while they're getting coffee every day/week/x amount of time. i don't know. i do think they would get along too though, especially because i feel like matthew would be able to really just... get her to relax every once in a while and feel like it's a little more okay because he's also hardworking but he still manages to find downtime. ♥ i mean... i don't know what they would talk about that would actually enable them to become better friends, but i'm sure we can work something out! aw, cait's too old, isn't she. :c i guess that's my fault, haha. but ugh, that's sad! nala seems like a lovely teacher... and just a lovely person, actually, i think they have a bit in common. i can't think of anything other than if, for some reason, cait wanders into the history department and finds nala there, or... i don't know, nala likes music and winds up at a band rehearsal/show or something, lol. i'm not really sure! i think they'd like each other, though... but we can definitely leave it for now and see where it goes later.

He betrayed his alliance in February almost two years ago (since it's close to Feb. in game now) so maybe they met way back then? He stayed in the Earth dormitories for a bit since Fire kicked him out and so he got to know a lot of the Earths and stayed friends with them and all. He takes a long time to trust and befriend someone (usually anywhere from six months to a year) but after he's known you for that long getting to be close friends isn't that hard since trust for him is an almost unconditional thing xD That's all if this sounds good to you! I'd love to thread them over break or something since I imagine they'd have a bit of time then. Josh works two jobs (one volunteering and then an actual job) but without school to worry about and all I think it'd be a good time.

yep, that's exactly what i figured! and i also figure like, once out of high school, the whole 'grade level' thing probably wouldn't really matter since people start and go back to college at all ages, so it's just easier to plot in that environment, i think. anywho! any of those possibilities makes sense to me, though i think matt would be less inclined to start or partake in conversation if he's just on his coffee runs in the morning before school? unless he just has an off day or whatever...and then if he ever decides to get a coffeemaker, then there goes that idea, lol. but yeah, matt and his little sister live in an apartment in town, so that may be the best way for them to meet? idk maybe he was in a rush and forgot his keys to get in to the lobby and she's the next person to come back from wherever. or they bond over some npc neighbor's horrible choice of playlist that they insist on blasting in the dead of night? maybe they run into each other in the laundry room! dude idk lol, but yeah, i can definitely see them becoming friends once we figure all that out. (oh and dude, i kind of love cait. i can relate to her situation, sort of, and it's kind of a tough situation to be in, so you know, whenever she needs someone to just vent to, matt's willing to lend an ear. besides, sometimes, i get this feeling like matt sort of freaks out about his lack of a back-up plan should this fall through, so it's just kind of interesting to see both sides of the situation, lol. okay shutting up! ♥)

This be my 10th grade Wind. Again age would play the big factor of them not knowing each other. He is an artist so when he isn't doing school work (or crushing on Cynder) he's drawing every chance he gets. He's in his second year of knowing he's an element since he's lived in an orphanage for 13 years. As of right now I don't see much for these two but perhaps down the rode they bump into each other.


Hiro:

Hiro is my 11th/12th grade history fire elemental teacher. He's in his fourth year now teaching at the academy. Based of age she could have totally been in his class and since she's such a hard worker he'd totally like her for that. Now just because he's a fire he doesn't play favorites. To be and stay on his good side you have to work for your grade regardless of element. No guaranteed passing or failing.


Takeru:
Takeru or T.K. to some is my newest character. He's my sophomore earth elemental. So it is possible they went to school together and knew each other. He's kind of the opposite of Caitlyn. He is a hardworker but at the same time kind of a go with the flow kind of guy. He's a dancer, majoring in dance at the Academy. He lives in the Hallow in an apartment with his older brother. Same complex as Matt, his bestie and neighbor. He works at the Music & Video store and also helps teach a dance class at the rec center so that could be another place they know each other from.

haha, i think if they were the same age and element, they'd definitely know each other. if he's matthew's neighbour... then i guess he's also her neighbour! so this definitely works, lol. they'd probably run into each other quite a bit, i think. i was actually thinking of having cait work at the music store too, but i decided she'd probably prefer being a little more hands-on than just selling it. either way she probably frequents it quite a bit for things for her alto sax... and then she'd also be in and out of the rec centre quite a bit for volleyball (and possibly for teaching piano, if they'd have any space for that type of thing? i'd have to ask taylor and stark!)... and they're neighbours, like i said. lol so i think they could, potentially, make really good sort of long-time friends?
