Gale had a few loves in life. Swimming was one of them of course, and shopping, but he turned into a typical teenage boy when it came to video games. He just couldn't keep himself away from them it would seem. However, he didn't get into games like the infamous Call Of Duty or Halo or most of those shooting games. No, truth be told he preferred more old fashioned games - yeah, like Mario Cart or other racing games. That was just who he was. A lot of things about him was old fashioned. At least he liked to think so. He was just classy like that. Or so he liked to think.
However, today, he wasn't alone in his video game quest. His friend, Joanna, was joining him. It was a saturday afternoon, so they didn't have to worry about school. And his mom was off running errands, so they had the house to themselves. Which was good, because Gale could pack away food like a chipmunk, despite the fact that he didn't gain weight. A lot of people where jealous of him for that, because he was just that fantastic. Today he had his old time Nintendo 64 hooked up and his favorite game - Mario Kart - was in. There was not many people who had one of these anymore, and he kept his in good working condition. Sometimes it randomly went out, but it was good for the most part. They where both sitting on the couch playing.
"Break time!" Gale announced, after finishing a race, and looking over at Joanna with a smile. "I'm starving." He said, pushing himself off the couch and making his way into the kitchen. He opened up the freezer - since his ability to cook was very limited. He pulled out a frozen pizza and looked at it for a minute. His mom knew him so well. He could cook frozen pizza's pretty damn well. "How does pizza sound? Good I hope. Because I can't cook anything else." He said, laughing dryly. He didn't really wait for her to answer, because even if she didn't want any he could probably eat the whole thing on his own. He was just that fat at heart. He turned the oven on to preheat it, and leaned back against the counter. "If you want something else, feel free to look around. Not sure what you're going to find, though, to be honest." Thats why his mother was at the store now.

Joanna didn't do this much; she never really played video games on her own, and never exactly had a guy best friend or a brother to play them with. But she did enjoy them, and she was pretty good at them too, if she did say so herself. She wasn't entirely beating Gale at the game, but she wasn't too far behind him, and it wouldn't have taken her long to catch up to him- had that race not just ended. Joanna popped up after him, her stomach rumbling. "Oh yeah, I couldn't definitely go for some food."
She wasn't sure why, but she felt like she had started eating more. It wasn't that she stuffed her face, or that she exactly starved herself before. But Joanna could be somewhat of a perfectionist, and that also meant perfecting how she looked. But lately, she just stopped caring. It didn't matter how she looked while she was Gale, her appetite grew back, not just in front of Gale, but in front of most people too. She still watched her weight, she didn't want to start becoming unhealthy, she Joanna had definitely started to fill out more, and started to regain some of the curves she had had years before.
"Pizza sounds delicious." She planned on eating probably half of it, if Gale didn't get to it first. Joanna easily jumped up onto the kitchen counter, next to the fridge, sitting there swinging her legs as Gale set the pizza into the stove. Magnetized to the fridge were pictures. Some of them were of the family, probably some friends of the family. Joanna pulled one picture off; it was one of Gale's younger head poking out of the water, smiling bright eyed and red cheeked at the camera. He looked to probably be about ten. "Awhhh, Gale, you look soooo cute. I just want to pinch your cheeks!"
