[/size]Crystal was never going to get her paperwork in before her meeting with the freshman's parents. One thing she couldn't stand was dealing with the parental units, they all believed their child was the most perfect creation on the face of the earth. That would be fine and dandy if their students hadn't ended up in detention or the likes, but breaking to parents that their students were troublemakers was about as much fun as banging her head against her desk for an hour.
Especially this student who was related to a lawyer. That was just painful and she needed one more file from her apartment before she was able to prove to this parent once and for all that she was not lying about the incident with her child.
She was so wrapped up with what she was doing that she almost passed right by the high school student who was not in class. Now she had seen this student around, Kaylee... no Karlee, that was her name. It was hard to forget that hair, it just screamed insecurity, she had only met one or two young adults with that style hair who were not trying to fit in.
Of course some people were different, but usually the hairstyle looked fake and cheep. She understood why kids felt the need to do that to themselves but she knew she wouldn't ever think that was the style for her. Crystal had never understood the need to dress up to impress people - hence her flattering jeans and blouse. Never overtly fancy but neither was she badly put together.
She sighed and prepared to give some punishment for the girl ditching class, "Shouldn't you be in class?" It was her job to keep students on the strait and narrow, or rather it was the job she had taken upon herself as their overqualified councilor. So instead of letting the girl go with a smile and a slap on the wrist like many of her teachers had given her years before she sighed, put a hand on her hip, then gave her the "you-just-had-to-go-there" look.
She sighed disappointingly and glanced at the girl, "Well it looks like your coming to my office with me." Crystal would never be a fan of discipline, she liked being the good guy in most situations.
