What started out as a good day went downhill in a matter of moments. Just one phone call changed Anastasia’s good day to one of dread. It started out as a normal day till her phone started to ring due to her father calling her. He called her often while she was away, which was nice because she loved her father a lot. She answered her phone as she normally did, but instead of a nice conversation with her father, she was told by her father that she was to be Mrs. Samuel Brenston and that this arrangement would benefit both families. Her life would not be her own anymore and she could no longer be with any man because of this. Lucky for her, she wasn’t dating any one at the time, but this now put a damper on her love life. Yes, she was upset, but she would do anything for her dad. He is the only biological family she has left.
Anya, as she was known by friends, hung up her phone after saying goodbye to her father. She sighed at the prospects of an unhappy life. She knew the Brenston boys, not well, but she knew of them. The oldest was a thunder user and the youngest brother, the one she was now betrothed to, was a fire user. Fire users and water users don’t get along, they are in fact enemies. The idea of these two groups getting married is frowned upon and she had no idea why the fathers agreed to such a marriage, it wouldn’t benefit the other family. The only explanation for the marriage was that the Brenston’s father assumed she was a fire user like her father, which she wasn’t. She inherited her late mothers element and looks.
If you were to look at a picture of Anya and her mother, you could see they were identical. The long blonde curly hair and blue eyes although, she did inherit some of her father’s facial features, but she looked more like her mom. It was hard for her to think about her mother. Her mother passed away while with child and it was always hard on the young girl to remember that period of her life. Her father did remarry a lovely lady that Anya cared for, but she wishes her mother was alive still. She shook the idea of her mother from her mind and pulled herself out of the chair she was lounging in. She needed to get away from people for the moment and thought the dungeons would be a good place to go. The only people that enjoyed being down there were fire and thunder users, but she found peace of mind in the idea that she was mostly alone there. Maybe cause it was a place to just hide away from people and get away.
She arrived at her destination shortly and found her usual hiding place down there. It was like a hidden passage way of sorts, at least she assumed it was. She let her body collapse on the floor and her body started shaken as tears poured from her eyes. Thinking of her mother always turned on her waterworks. Her mother passed away at a young age and at an early part of Anya’s life. She was actually there when her mother passed away before her eyes. Plus the news her father told her today wasn’t helping much either. She started screaming before she started to punch at the wall behind her over and over. Her hands were getting a little cut from it, but it didn’t matter anymore. The tears finally ceased to pour from her ocean blue eyes and her body just collapsed on the floor again. Her hands were scratched up from the wall and she just didn’t care. She closed her eyes and said a silent prayer to her mother to help her through this. She was open to the idea that there could be love within this marriage like her mother and fathers, but wasn’t going to hope a pray that it would happen. She would just have to get used to the idea of being married to Samuel Brenston, for the sake of her father.
She heard footsteps close by and got very quiet hopping they’d pass by. She wiped her hands on her jeans staining them a bit with blood as hear heart pounded against her chest. She was clever with her color choice today. She had one a one strapped red shirt on and it kind of gave her an appearance of being a fire user, even though she is a water user. She steadied her breath and just waited for the person to either find her or walk past her.
