Partyin' it up with Ma Big Brother! [Blake]

Kathryn stood in a waiting line outside the doors of Club Corrosion in a tight white dress. The texture of it was mostly sort of lace-ish, and though it wasn't entirely short, it was shorter than most of her clothes, and made her feel the need to cover up. She wore it anyways though, because she was going clubbing, and this was what you wore when you went. It was also the only slutty dress she owned, and she expected it to become luminescent under the black lights. Though the rain had calmed down, only leaving the sidewalks damp with puddles lining the streets, it was still a bit windy out- and even more reason Kathryn wanted to cover up! Honestly, she probably would have felt a little better about herself if she knew she wasn't waiting for her best friend to show up and party with her. He'd never seen her wear anything close to this, and for some reason in her head it just felt...awkward.

She could hear the hushed whispers about her from a group of college seniors behind her. They were definitely checking her out, and one even broke away from the lowered hasty remarks and whistled at her. But it was something she was used to, and something that made her proud. When one of the guys spoke to the back of her head a cheesy pick-up line, it made a smile spread across her face. Why was she worrying so much? So she was partying with Blake- who cared? He was her best friend, and she never understood why the concept of going clubbing together had never dawned on either of them before. It was an experience they should share together, an experience that would definitely be fun. She was still hot, and still her classy self in her heels.

She checked her phone several times, waiting for either a message from Blake, or one from the boy she had met at the music store, Nick. One text from him told her that he was already inside, and he was looking for her. Another one from Blake said that he was almost there. She hopped almost was soon, because she was beginning to freeze, and couldn't wait to warm herself between the bunch up hot and sweaty bodies. And that was pretty sick- but she definitely felt happy there. Happy, and in control.

Blake had always admired bouncers, as long as they let him through without any trouble. A bouncer, bodyguard, and the like, all require finely tuned people watching skills. You need to know what to look for, who has an itchy trigger finger, or fist as the case may be. Who's been stumbling around for the last ten minutes and will need to be carried out sooner rather than later because a stupid bartender failed to cut them off. But most off all, it also gives you hours and hours of entertainment. Wearing all black and standing on the periphery of the crowd makes you almost invisible. People forget that you're even there and the things they do and say when they don't think they're being watched, are priceless. Maybe this bouncer should have notice they way these guys were treating Kat.

The Thunder boy finally pushed his way past the boys ogling Kathryn from behind. If his sheer size wasn't enough to shut them up, his nasty glare directed at them sure did. It was hard to blame the strangers though. Kat's dress had left little to imagine. Even Blake caught himself staring for the briefest of moments. With a quick clearing of his throat Blake placed a hand on Kat's shoulder to alert her of his arrival. One of the rowdier guys behind them let out a groan of disappointment as it became aware to them Kat was not alone. "Like he had a chance anyway," the boy thought. "Sorry about the wait. Traffic was bad," he lied. More like he was late because he was scrambling to find someone to join him. Every girl on his list seemed to be too busy for him tonight. Now he had to find someone new inside, or be forced to deal with the very real fact that Kathryn was not the little sister she once was. At least a girl would be able to distract him enough. It was either a girl or booze and Blake would be happy with either.

The bouncer barely took a second glance at the boy's ID as he let him pass. Tugging the heavy, black door open, the smell of sweat, ammonia, and stale beer was overwhelming. Blake's eyes were slowly acclimated to the dimly lit, expansive room as he walked Kat inside. It was what any seedy club would be like. A full bar stocked off to the side and a large dance floor big enough to support the local crowd. Off to the side the management had finally chipped in and set up places to sit like booths and tables, but the main attraction was the music and booze. "We might as well start off with a shot," he yelled out over the music. He wasn't about to admit to her that he had taken two himself before arriving. Just a little some to knock back the nerves. For a guy who hated social situations, the party scene was a terrible place for him to enjoy.

Kathryn laughed at the boys groans of disappointment as she followed Blake inside. When they got inside under the dance lights, and she knew she had enough room, she did a small little slow twirl, asking Blake, "Do you like my dress?" Yes, she knew she was showing off a little bit, and perhaps it was something terrible and low to do to her best friend, but so what? Of all the girls in the club, she was probably covered up the most. Of all the clothes they were wearing, hers was one of the only ones that actually resembled a dress.

"Yeah, sounds good!" She declared over the loud music, and zig-zagged through the groups of people. When she reached the bar, she ordered one of her favorite shots and downed it within a second. Most girls like her would have thought it was a little strong and would have not been able to hold it, but Kathryn- she was just getting started. She started ordering another one, when one of the older guys down at the edge of the bar slid over to her, and in a gruff voice asked her if he could by her drinks. Kathryn saw his type enough when she went out to clubs, especially this one. He was the type of guy who's wife just left him, took and the kids and kicked him out of the house. He was now lodging with his terribly immature friend, and sought out heaven in booze and girls half his age. He spent his time at the bars, drink after drink, spotting out young naive pretty ladies who he thinks he could probably take advantage of. But he never scores, because most of the girls always take advantage of him.

"Oh, sure," Kathryn giggled, in a way she wasn't too keen in using. But hey- a free drink was a free drink. But she was probably smarter than all the others girls he hit on. "But, you see, I'm here with my friend," she pointed over her shoulder to Blake, who was in the middle of his second shot. "And well..someone needs to pay for his too."
"The kid can pay for his own," the guy grumbled.
She shrugged and started turning. "Oh well, you're right. I guess I can pay for my own too..."
"Wait! Is the kid your boyfriend?"
Again, Kathryn hated to giggle, but she did. "Nope."
"Then, oh alright, I guess I can," he grouched, still hoping a bit for a shot. He handed the money over to the bar tender as she finished her second shot. She started to talk to Blake, when the man protested, "Hey, wait!" Kathryn shrugged. "Sorry, but my boyfriends somewhere over there!" And she pointed into the crowd, grabbed Blake's hand, and ran with him onto the dance floor. The man shouted out in another protest, but he soon stopped because he knew he had just been conned. Kathryn laughed to herself, and scolded the man that he should probably stick to his own age.

Blake let out a long sigh. Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea after all. The night had just begun and he was having a hard time keeping his spirits up. It wasn’t his real job to keep an eye on her, but the guys at this bar were sometimes skeevy. As Kat gave Blake a little twirl he let out a small groan unheard over the music. How the hell was he going to answer that? If he was too dismissive she’d get pissed or upset. If he complimented her to much it would just sound weird. ”Yeah, what about me?” he asked, teasing her bit to lighten his own mood.

He followed Kathryn as she dragged and navigated Blake through the crowd. His eyes wandered a bit through the mass of people trying to see if there was anyone worth spending his night with. ’Slim pickings so far,’ he deduced. Hopefully some good-looking women would make their way out tonight. Kat ordered a pretty heavy shot order and Blake felt he needed to go toe for toe. He pulled out his credit card to get the bartender’s attention. Since it was his idea to go out, he figured he’s pick up most of the tab. It was all his dad’s money getting blown anyway. ”Absolut!” he called out to the bartender, holding up three fingers. His drink of choice was usually a good whiskey or bourbon, but when he went out to the club vodka was always the way to go. At first he paced himself, slowing down his usual speed to keep in line with his long time friend.

He pounded back his fourth shot of the night, letting the burning liquid warm his body as it settled in his stomach. Blake let Kat out of his sight for two seconds and some old man rubbing shoulders with Kat. He looked like some dirty forty-year-old man trying to gain her attention. The Thunder was going to brush him off, until Kat actually engaged in conversation with the man. It was one thing to chat up with a younger looking guy, but man Kat was seated next to looked like he was expecting a little too much from the underage girl. Before he could step in and 'escort' the man away from his female friend, Kat shoved a free shot into his hand and made a quick dash for the dance floor. He tossed back the free shot, wincing at the terrible quality of alcohol the guy had picked out. Figures the scum liked piss. As other club goers pushed up against the two students, Blake leaned in close to Kat's ear to overcome the music. "You got a death wish or something Kat?" He let go the fact that she was drinking almost as much as him, but he wouldn't let her get away with behavior that reckless. When did he start acting so old he thought to himself.

Kathryn's laughed at Blake's seriousness. Through the dim light, she could see the concern written on his face, masked with alcohol. Thinking back, she remembered he had always been this way. He was always there, a shoulder to lean on, a warm body to hug, someone who stood and watched over her. She loved that about him, until he he would become protective of her too much. When they were younger, and some of the other boys in the park would do the old fashioned "kick sand in your face" "pull your pigtails" sort of things, Blake was always there to push them down. Blake had always worried too much, and always had a vision of Kat being a little girl who he had to look after. Though for being a "protective older brother", he didn't know a lot of the things that went on in her life. Sometimes she wished she would let her fend for herself. She was definitely tough enough, and definitely smart enough. She just had to make Blake realize that.

"Chill Blay. I know what I'm doing. You need to realize that I've grown up. I"m just as smart as you, if not clever. I can hold just as much alcohol as you, if not more." She started teasing around, because seriousness wasn't something she all to loved to do with Blake. She clumsily threw her arms around Blake, and gave him a hug for reassurance. When she noticed her movements a little bit sloppy, she decided she needed to slow down on the alcohol, if not quit it for the night altogether. It wasn't that she started having too much, but she had eaten too little that night and didn't feel like acquiring the dry heaves. "Not shut up, stop worrying, and dance!" She yelled over the music, beginning to sway her hips side from side to the beat of some distasteful music.

"Yeah, yeah," he said, only half paying attention to what Kat was really saying. The way the music was blasting and the slow effect of the hard liquor, Blake could only take so much. Even if he was too harsh he simply shrugged it off. Kat use to find his protectiveness endearing a few years ago. Maybe he did have to wake up and realize she wasn't that little girl who tried to make him play dolls with her. He returned the hug to Kat before she let go an began to dance. Blake was too sober to watch her younger friend dance so he turned his attention else where. In the flashing lights Blake saw another girl sway her way over to him. It was clear that she was trying to the student's attention. For now Blake welcomed the distraction.

The music was blaring, it's so loud Blake could feel the beat pounding through his body as he was moving in time to the beat. It was hot and sweaty and there were people everywhere, so crowded that he was pushed closer to the mystery girl. He laughed as the girl's hands went up in the air, and then running through her hair. Seriously, sometimes girls did the weirdest things. Her eyes were closed as her body moved along with Blake's. It was the best part about being a guy; he barely had to do anything while the girl moved against his body. As the alcohol starting to mess with Blake's vision a bit, he looked back to see how much Kat was enjoying the music. The Thunder's attention was drawn back to the girl in front of him as she continued to dance with Blake. He hummed along in appreciation, until the girl tried to reach up and pull his face closer to hers.

As her face drew closer, Blake finally got a better view of the girl. "Hell no, abort mission!" That was just one of the draw back of booze, Blake's filter wasn't so good. It wasn't that the girl was that terrible looking. The boy was just vain enough to know he could do way better. He pushed himself away from the girl. Wither she heard him or not, she was just drunk enough to dance away from him and find another victim. As everyone pushed into Blake on the dance floor, he just stood there sort of awkwardly. He was buzzed enough to know that he should either find another person to dance with or head back over to the bar. His vote was bar. Blake wasn't nearly drunk enough to keep dancing.

Kathryn watched as her friend moved with the beat, and moved slowly away from her. A little look of hurt waved over her face, but it quickly passed. Of course she had sort of hoped to dance a little bit with Blake before the inevitable happened and they split. But then she decided it wasn't worth it when she watched how he danced with some girl other girl; she didn't like dancing like that. She didn't understand it for the most part, especially while she was sober. She also didn't understand how rubbing your hands up and down your head and threw your hair was considered sexy. 'Oh, I'm sexy, let's dance and rub my hands through my hair! Doesn't it make me sexier?' Yak. No, she'd rather not.

She was taken away from her thoughts when she felt someone's body take shape to hers. She was about to push the stranger away, disgusted with the thought of someone who's name she didn't know rubbing his unmentionables all over her body. When her body tensed, arms wrapped around her eyes, and "guess who" drawled out in her ears below the radar of the music. She turned around with a smile on her face. "Nick! The face of the boy she had met earlier that day and had drawn an immediate attraction with looked around her. "You're dancing alone? That's surprising. Did you come here alone?"

"Why is that so surprising?" She asked, but then she realized. She was a young pretty woman in a short dress full of hot, sweaty, and horny guys. The fact that no one else has come up and tried dancing with her yet, was actually very surprising. "Nevermind. And No, I didn't..." Kathryn trailed off, spinning in circles looking for Blake. But he wasn't anywhere to be seen in the sea of people. "Well, I came here with one of my friends, but I'm not entirely sure where he went off to. Maybe I should...find...him.."

"Is he your boyfriend?" Nick asked, raising an eyebrow. Kathryn shook her head and laughed. "No. Why does everyone always think that?"

Nick shrugged, and then pulled her towards him. "Come dancccce with me," he slurred, and just then did Kathryn smell the alcohol on his breath, and hear it in his words. He wasn't that too far gone, though probably just a drink or two from it. "No, really Nick, I should go find Bla-" Nick cut her off by easing her into a kiss. This act relaxed her body and mind, despite her mouth coming back from it with the taste of vodka. This put her into a calm state of mind, and she allowed him to pull her into his body and guide hers with his.

"Hey, you want to keep your hands to yourself buddy!?" He yelled to some stranger. Blake was just glad he was able to push his way through to the bar due to his sheer size. "Give me a Corona," Blaked demanded, waving his credit card towards the bartender. "There is a ten dollar minimum for cards sir." Blake ran his free hand through his hair and didn't do such a great job of hiding his frustration. "Fine then, give some expensive ass mixed drink," he said as he slipped him the card. He planted himself in one of the stools as he waited for his drink to be made. That's how they always got you to drop more money than you wanted at clubs. When he finally slipped the Thunder his card and drink, Blake already had both of his arms propped on the bar top. He wasn't going anywhere fast. He gave the bartender a dirty look behind his back. No way he was tipping that asshole.

At least he had been smart enough to avoid taking more shots. Though the bartender must have made Blake's current drink as a retaliation to the boy's attitude. As Blake put the highball glass to his lips, the first thing he tasted was the salt surrounding the rim. Next, as the liquid filled his mouth he was hit with a strong blast of vodka and the tinniest hint of grapefruit juice. Blake pulled back the glass and almost choked at how strong the drink was, even for him. "Everything alright?" the bartender asked, smirking at Blake. "Just swell" Blake retorted back sarcastically. What Blake wouldn't do to wipe that shit eating grin off that guy's face right now.

After a while Kathryn got sick of the way they were dancing. She loved dancing, and always had the energy to do so, but dancing dirty wasn't always something she was into. She could handle it for a little while, but the way Nick liked to dance was just too much. As there bodies moved along in line, he explored his body with his hands. She would push them away several times, but they always went right back up. Kathryn was unsure if he was acting like this from the alcohol in his system, or if she had been given a poor first impression on how he was really like in the music store. Finally she moved her body away from his and faced him, yelling over the music, "Hey! Let's go get a-" but he cut her off with another kiss. This kiss seemed to go on forever, of course his hands still trailing everyone, but Kathryn seemed to get lost in it. She finally got her head back when a hunger pang went through her stomach, and she decided she needed to take something and chase it down with another shot.

She pulled away again, which he protested to, but she grabbed his hand and dragged him to the bar. When he started to order, she shut him up and took a shot for herself, "and probably an order of fries. I have a feeling he might need some food." When their order came up, they walked over to a booth in the back. She slid the fries to Nick, who started chewing on them right away. They looked good- home made and greasy. Just the way she liked them. She reached to take one, but was come over with another wave of pain. This made her realize what she was about to do, and then took a small plastic bag she had folded up and put in the side of her bra (they were actually conveniently good pockets). In the little bag were two little white pills that would make the pain go away. Of course they would make her go a little fuzzy, especially if she took both, and then proceeded to chase it with her shot, but she was at a club, and it was a very alright thing to do.

She decided she was only going to take one pill, and as she popped it in her mouth, she saw a very pair of familiar eyes looking at her. She waved Blake over to the table, chugged the shot, and then put the other pill back where it came from. All the while Nick was seeming to get a little bit better, but still played a little bit with the hem of her dress. This seemed more of a act of innocence and curiosity then that of pure lust. So she let him, because it seemed cute, and for some reason that's all she wanted. Something cute- not sexual. It was a weird feeling, not wanting to be with someone in that way. It was new, just coming over her in the last few days. She wasn't sure it was something she could find in Nick, but anything was possible.

"Blake! Blaaaaake!" She waved her hand in the air for him to see. "Blaaaayyyy! Come over here."

"Yo! I'll have another one of these salty-ass shit drinks you made be man!" No way Blake was going to let that punk ass bartender think he got the best of him. He turned around to see where Kat may have been and thought it was almost hopeless if she was on the dance floor. He saw what looked like Kat, waving way too many hands than she should have and mouthing words he couldn't hear, at Blake. "Drunk? Check," Still sober enough to know though, which was always a good sign. With once last nasty look over at the bartender, Blake got up from his bar stool with his drink in hand. The crowd was going to be more than a challenge to navigate now with the warm feeling in his stomach starting to spread.

He finally pushed he way past all the dancers and plopped into the booth seat across from Kat. As he placed his drink down on the table some of the contents slipped over the edge. He didn't know if it was the alcohol or not, but he could have sworn she wasn't alone. Blake did an actual double take towards the guy sitting rather close to his childhood friend. The guy seemed it be close to both Blake and Kat's age, and was clearly smaller than Blake. 'Good,' he thought. Though Blake was a pretty big dude to begin with, so physical competition was sometimes hard to find. This guy looked like the poster child for every crap band that practiced in their parent's garage. Even with a few drinks in him Blake could put together that he must have been the kind of guy to listen to 'underground music' and drop way more money on clothes that made them look like they were homeless or throw backs to styles from the past.

"Who the hell is this guy?" Blake asked, thinking he had successfully whispered to Kat. Judging by the look on the strange guys face, Blake might have been a little louder than he intended to be. With an air of indifference Blake shrugged, and took a rather generous sip of his drink. Somehow it tasted better than the last one. Probably because he was drunk enough to not taste it. "Fries, sweet." Blake reached across the table and grabbed a few. When the other guy looked towards him Blake gave him a nasty glare. 'Just try it bro,' he thought to himself. He shoved a fry in his mouth and chewed it as quickly as he could. "Great music huh?" he asked. The Thunder did not like the way this guy was getting so close to Kat. "So Guy," he started off. Didn't know the tools name, so Blake was going to call him 'Guy'. Probably was a better name than his real one anyway. "How do you know Kathryn?"

Blake sauntered over to the table, and Kathryn could tell even before he opened his mouth, that he was drunk. But when he did open his mouth, a stench of grapefruit and vodka spilled over the table, practically stinging her nostrils. His words were a bit slurred, and his eyes seemed to not be able to focus on one thing, but if they were able to, she knew they would be narrowed at Nick. "Whoa Blake," she said, pinching her nose and swatting away at the air. "Slow down on the booze, bud."

He reached over and took a fistful of fries, earning him a look from Nick. Kathryn wasn't exactly thrilled of the circumstances these two were meeting under, but it was what it was. "Blake, this is Nick. Nick- Blake." But at this point Blake was completely looking past her, and probably didn't even hear her. Which she was proven right when he asked Nick what his name was. Kathryn was about to point out that the music was actually terrible, and that his name wasn't Guy, but by the glares they kept throwing each other, and when they picked up a rather rough conversation, she knew neither of them were going to listen to her. She grabbed the drink Blake had set down, took a big gulp of it, and let it sting all the way down her throat. For some reason, the pain was welcoming. She had the urgency to become enveloped in it, took another gulp, felt it in her head, and then set the drink down, listening to the fuzzy words of the other two.

"Actually, my name is not Guy, thank you very much. It is Nick. And I met Kat at the music store when she suggested a good CD for me. And things just sort of...went from there."

He reached over, grabbed Kathryn's chin, and kissed her on the lips, a little more harshly then normal. This pulled her out of her fuzz, and into a new one of a totally different kind. She fell gently and snuggly into this one. Nick gave Blake another once over, laughed, and then got up from the booth. He leaned over to Kat, and tugged at her arms. "You coming Kitty Kat? I don't like this guy, lets go dance." Kathryn resisted though, still wanting to spend some time with her friend , no matter how wasted he was. "No, Nick. I want to stay here and chat a bit with Blake. I'm tired of dancing." Not entirely true, but she was tired of dancing with him. But Nick persisted, with kissing, and touching, and tugging. Every time Kathryn shrugged him off, he just kept coming back.

"Ohhh, Dick? Nice name man. Your parents must really love you," he replied with a sarcastic tone. Honestly what did Kat see in this guy. He stared down the boy a bit longer before noticing Kathryn stole his drink. "Hey there, I don't remember offering you that." He took the drink out of her hands and finished off the last shallow before she tried to take it back. If she was going to hang out with Nick over him then he could buy her drinks. Blake was not a fan of Nick or Dick, or whatever the hell his name was. The way he reached out for Kat's chin was disturbing to the Thunder and there was a strange feeling building up inside of him.

'Kitty Kat?' What the hell was that? Clearly Guy needed to learn his place. Blake pounded his glass down on the table before standing up to face the other guy. "Dick was it? Pretty sure Kat said she was fine with not dancing," He gave the boy a quick shove, effectively pushing the weaker boy off of his friend. What an idiot to think he could go against him. The guy looked like a fragile little toothpick in comparison to the student. "Why don't you go run off and find some more shit folk music to listen to while I hang out with Kat." Blake refused to sit down, making it clear that he wasn't in the mood for bullshit.

Kathryn was surprised at Blake's random outbursts. When he pushed Nick out of the way, she was brushed a little to the side by them. She wasn't sure how she felt about it. Part of her was amused by the fight that started to take place; fights were always amusing and she loved watching them. Part of her was enraged at both of them, though for some reason more at Blake than Nick. Blake was her best friend, what right did he have to decide thins for her? To tell the guy to get lost, he was her friend and Blake had no control over her other friendships, however slutty those friendships might be. And then a third part of her, a tiny part much smaller than the other two, thought it was cute. She thought it was adorable the way he was sticking up for her, and knew she wasn't really interested in the guy that much. She felt crazy for thinking it, because thinking that Blake was cute for even just a second reached a certain line. And then the fact that she was also a tiny bit turned on as well, well that line had now been long gone and crossed, a mile behind her. She shook her head, and decided her feelings came from the mix of the pill and booze.

When Blake pushed Nick, the fight didn't stop there. Nick must have known he was severely outmatched, and already knowing he was gonna be beat, decided he wasn't going down without a fight. "Who are you to decide who Kat wants to hang out with?" [/i]He shoved back, barely budging Blake, but he still tried. "She's my girl, she can come with me!"

His girl? Kathryn felt everything wrong with this phrase. She was not now, never, nor would she ever be his girl. She had just met him earlier that day, and although she had too felt the immediate connection he felt, there was just something about him. Maybe she could give a date or a makeout session sometime when he wasn't drunk half of his ass and in a sort of pickle with her best friend, being his girl was just out of the question. Nick wasn't that special, she could find another billion guys like him out there. But still, she said, "Blake, stop! You're making an ass out of yourself."

Nick had left the fight, and made his way back over to Kathryn. He held her hand out for her to take, and she tentatively took it. She wasn't completely sure who's side she wanted to be on. But Nick then pulled her into him, and crazily pressed his mouth against hers. He tried parting her lips softly, but when her puzzled expression didn't leave, and her lips didn't part softly, he forced them open and began forcing his tongue into hers. Not only was she disgusted, but she could also here Blake, who was coming back for more.

Blake barely felt the feeble attempt Nick called a shove. If it was the booze or just Blake's sheer size, it felt like he was hit by a child. Was the kid serious? "Is that the best you've got?" he taunted. He struggled to get his arms out of his leather jacket to free his movement up a bit more. He dropped the jacket onto the floor without much thought of it now that he was rid of it. There was no greater desire running through Blake's inebriated mind than kicking the shit out Nick. He brought both of his hands up as if to really tear into Nick, only to drop them a bit in disbelief of Nick's statement. Blake looked to Nick and then back to Kat. "Did I miss something here? Your girl? Kat, I don't remember you every telling me about Nick before. Seems pretty presumptuous for you to say that Nick." 'Shit, how'd I pull that word out of me,' he thought. How much had he really had to drink tonight?

What confused him even more was that Kat jumped in to side with Nick. Now that was low enough. Then she had to go and call him an asshole on top of that. That had never happened ever in their friendship. "He calls you his girl and I'm the asshole? Look at this guy Kat! He's a complete tool." He pointed towards Nick to further drive the point home. The Thunder couldn't believe it when Kat actually took Nick's outreached hand. "Are you kidding me?" Blake said to deaf ears. What a shit night this turned out to be. He finally ends up going out to party with his childhood friend and she drags along some third rate excuse for a guy while Blake went and got plastered out of his mind. Granted if anyone here was actually hot Blake would have been devoting his attention in their direction.

As Nick forced himself on Kat it was obvious to even the drunk Thunder that his friend wasn't as receptive to the attention as Nick thought she was. His vision was slightly blurred at this point as he rushed over towards the couple. With as much strength as he could muster he pulled at the back of Nick's shirt, effectively getting him away from Kat and choking him a bit in the process. Now a smart person probably would have taken Nick outside of the club to deal with him, but in Blake's current state, good decision making was rare. Instead of dragging him out of the club to deal with him, Blake spun the boy around quick enough for Nick to see the impending fist aimed right at his face.

Kathryn stood there, flustered and unsure what to do. Her best friend was punching her date of the night, they were both drunk, and she wasn't all there either; just enough to know she had to stop this. The bartender had noticed the fight going on when Nick had decided to swing back- and actually managed to hit Blake. This actually surprised Kathryn. Compared to short and scrawny little Nick, Blake towered him and overpowered him by about three times. Kathryn blamed it on the alcohol, that since Blake was totally stable, it probably wouldn't take too much to bring him down. Regardless, he could still beat the bloody hell out of Nick. "You better take one of your boys home, miss."

"Blake!" She called for his attention, but the two of them kept brawling on. Hitting and ducking, ducking and hitting. Now it was starting to draw the attention of other people in the club. "Nick!" Still, it was useless. Finally she decided it was time to put herself into the middle of it. She put a hand on both of their shoulders, just as Nick went into to grab the front of Blake's shirt. She shoved as hard as she could. She managed to put Nick a little but didn't seem to offset Blake an inch. Though all that did was make Nick think that the other boy had shoved him off. She put herself in between the two, calling for them both to stop. But Nick didn't, he still lunged, with his fist out, aiming to punch Blake. That didn't work out so well when that connected with Kathryn's nose.

The club ooh'd as Kathryn was knocked back a step, and lost her balance. Nick might have not been strong, but he was still strong enough to take her off her feet. In an instance, she was back on all two's, cursing off the part of the club that had started to watch the fight, and then cursing off Nick. He still hadn't seemed to noticed until she screamed at him, putting herself right in his face (bleeding nose and all), and pushing him so that he was far enough away. He finally seemed to know what he had done, and the look on his face was a mixture of bewilderment, astonishment, and fear. Probably at the look of anger on Kathryn's face. "Nick, I'm taking Blake and we're leaving. It wasn't really a fun night, so maybe I'll see you around. But then again, maybe I won't."

She turned around and grabbed Blake's arm. In a defeated voice she said, "C'mon Blay, let's go."
