The scene looked like something straight out of a medieval Robin Hood movie set. A numerous amount of circle targets being held up by wood pegs and straw men held up like scarecrows littered a clearing in this forest. A woman dressed in blue jeans, a white shirt and white sneakers was the stray men's only company. Today appeared to be windy. BOOM! Now a sound like that would normally be blamed on a few elementals. Earth was a big target for this since some have figured out that small scale earthquakes were in fact possible. Thunder was certainly the prime target. Fire might also be the culprit. However, none of these types would be the blame here. In fact, this time around it would come from a seemingly unexpected element; wind. Normally Rola could be found exercising, talking to someone or herself or possibly teaching and doing her job. Not this time. She was out in a remote part of the wilderness in an attempt to be away from people while she conducted her experiments. There was always a drive to try to perfect her abilities. It didn't matter that she was teaching others and could easily master her element better than just about any of her students. No, she needed more. She needed to know if she could be perfect. All of her life she needed to belong. The great hypocrisy with what she was doing was the fact that she was now trying to stand out where before her need was the need to fit in. Rola held her arms in such a fashion where it appeared that she was holding an invisible bow with an arrow held up and drawn. Her theory revolved around the fact that wind could be controlled by her. It was a given. However, she wondered if that same said wind could in fact be more compact and concentrated. After all, it wouldn't make any sense if this wasn't the case. Any other power could be controlled on a smaller scale. Fire didn't need to create a blazing forest blaze to create a flame small enough to fit into a palm. And water could certainly use an index finger to make a squirt gun. Why shouldn't wind have the same privilege of small scale control? She had to test this theory. Her right index and middle fingers were clamped together and then separated. Out of the union came a whirlwind that created a long line of dirt where grass should have been in a line pattern towards one of the stray dummies. Her theory was what created that loud sound that was created earlier. She was right and wrong at the same time. One couldn't compact wind enough for pin point precision but wind could be packed down enough where smaller scale destruction was possible. words, outfit, whatever you want |
