Joanna didn't know why she had taken to wondering down in the dungeons, but she had. For some reason, she liked the dampness of it, and the way her footsteps echoed with every step she took. She knew it was probably dangerous for her down there, knowing that if she ever ran into anyone in the winding halls, it wasn't someone who was going to be all hunky dory seeing her. Maybe that was a reason she loved going down there. It gave her a sort of thrill. She had fun down there, her alone time, and was ok with the risks. Sometimes she would try to drag some of her friends down there with her, but none of them would go.
Sometimes, when she was sure she was alone, she would start to hum, and then she would catch herself drifting off into the song. The walls did wonders with her already beautiful voice. That was what she was doing now. Just walking down a hall, letting her fingers drag on the cold stone wall, as she sang. "I told you to be patient, I told you to be fine, and I told you to be balanced, and I told you to be kind. In the morning I'll be with you, but it will be a different kind. I'll be holding all the tickets, and you'll be owning all the fines."
She heard footsteps that didn't match the rhythm of her own, and she stopped. She dropped her voice and stopped walking, trying to keep her breathing down. She stood against the wall so her shadow wouldn't be cast into the open hallway. Joanna closed her eyes and started counting, hoping that the footsteps would just pass away, and that whoever it was had gone another way and hadn't heard her singing.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;]i could never see you drown The Words: 1003 The Outfit: The Notes I will reply a lot quicker next time <3 I’m excited for this plot to happen. Samuel liked to hang around in the dungeons, either alone or with a group of friends. He was attracted to the sinister look of the place, like a scene from a horror movie. The cells, which would ordinarily scare a person, filled Samuel’s face with a wide, mischievous grin at the possibilities that they held, and the history. When he was a little boy, he would often spend his nights wide awake from the fear of getting attacked by a ghost or the monster in his closet; usually because Sawyer, his big brother, had forced him to watch another R rated horror movie, but over time it appeared to have served the youngest Brenston boy well. At least, he wasn’t afraid anymore of skeletons or places where you’d expect ghosts to say boo in the middle of the night. Instead, Samuel embraced the weird and slunked around in dark corners, casting shadows over the humid cells.
The dungeons also felt so homely to Sammy though, he couldn’t quite understand how any fire element could possibly hate or fear them. They were near his common room and the heat radiated from the fiery walls through to the dark cells; it wasn’t as warm as it was within the dormitory but it was still cosy and made him feel like Christmas inside, content, happy, relaxed and without a worry in the world. He was kind of hoping his parents would install a heat room their house for him but it was unlikely given that they were all thunder and would probably suffer an awful lot if they entered it, or at least be uncomfortable. But he’d passed his common room now, and the warmth had started to dissipate into coldness, causing shivers to run through him. Samuel hated the cold and he was quite sure that he felt it more than anybody; he wished he’d brought a hoody with him.
He had decided to take the descent alone this time, too impatient to await his friends. He was dressed comfortably in a pair of sweatpants and a reasonably fitted black tee, having just came from lounging around the common room like an overfed cat. In no way was Samuel obese, but he did enjoy his down time and usually he acted like the laziest person in the world when he was in the common room, unless he was showing off or trying to get a girl to sleep with him. Usually the latter two were prioritised with the former only ever occurring after he’d performed the others beforehand, but when he did relax there wasn’t really any moving him. Except for today, when his body craved the attention of mystery that the dungeons usually brought him, along with the happiness that went join with scaring someone.
He’d been down in the dungeons for quite some time now, leaning against a wall so he could jump out at somebody when they weren’t looking. It had been fun at first and he’d struggled not to stop giggling to himself, but ten minutes passed and then another ten, and soon the excitement began to wear off, and he wondered if maybe his time would be better spent doing something a little bit more productive, like emailing someone an anonymous love note or swapping somebody’s shampoo for blue dye. That was when he heard a voice, a beautiful voice actually, singing a song that he didn’t recognise. He stood up straight and stopped leaning against the wall, poking his head around it to try and see the singer. She was very female, he could tell that from the voice, and for a moment, he wished that he knew her. He wished that he was her friend, that he could listen to her sing whenever he wanted to, and that she’d sing in confidence to him because her voice was so beautiful that it automatically made her beautiful and precious. He was developing a mental crush on her and it wasn’t like him. He shook his head, trying to get a grip on himself, he wasn’t like that, and he let out a loud sigh. This was stupid, he should go and do something else.
Samuel started walking towards the voice, telling himself it was because it was the nearest exit and not because he wanted to see who it was. The coldness caused another shiver to run through his spine, causing him to feel a little bit irritated but mostly at himself for having such a PG fantasy about a girl. As he rounded the corner, he saw her, or a shape at least, it was pretty dark, he wasn’t sure. He felt his heart rate pick up, seeing a shadow in the dungeons was like seeing a monster in your closet; he wasn’t used to being the victim in a prank. Nonetheless, Samuel continued to walk, chewing anxiously on his cheeks. As he approached her, he started to relax a little bit and a smile even brought out his dimples. She must have been the girl with the voice. He felt his head rise as he discreetly improved his posture; his parents told him off for slouching way too much. ”Why did you stop singing?” he asked curiously, his eyes adjusting to the darkness enough to take in her petite features. She was cute, definitely cute, but he didn’t recognise her. He wondered if maybe she was one of the younger fire girls who just didn’t hang out in the common room, or maybe she was a thunder girl he hadn’t met yet. It didn’t cross his mind that she might be of a different element, if it had, he wouldn’t have rested on the wall beside her, leaning towards her a little as he spoke. ”I’m Samuel Brenston, you can call me Sam or Sammy though if you like… how come I haven’t seen you around before? I think I would have noticed a pretty thing like you in the common room before.” he teased, smiling still

[: ----------------------------------------------- shadows all around you as you surface from the dark, emerging from the gentle grip of NIGHT'S UNFOLDING ARMS. DARKNESS [/size] darkness every where, do you feel all alone? the subtle grace of gravity, the heavy weight of stone. -----------------------------------------------------------Joanna had sucked her breath in when she knew the footsteps were walking her way, and there was absolutely no way of getting around them. Whoever else was in the dungeons with her was going to pass her, and see her, and she was just going to have to deal with whoever it was. Part of her was slightly happy, she thought. It was part of the reason of coming down here, seeing who catches you and if you can get away from it without a burn mark or two. This wasn't the first time someone had noticed her in the place she didn't belong, some of them never really registered in their head what she was, and the others, usually the ones friends with her brother, let her off with a little warning, a few sneers and jeers, and told her never to come back. Of course, she'd get bored the next day and wander her way back into the twisting mazes of the dungeon.
When the boy showed up in front of her, she let part of her breath out, but never let her guard down. She was ready for a fight, physically or verbally, whenever it happened. Joanna let the rest of her breath fall slowly when he started talking. Instead of wondering about what some water elemental was doing down in basically Fire Headquarters, he was asking her about her singing! She was a bit embarrassed that she hadn't stopped herself from singing in time from the boy hearing her, but her curiosity with the boy was sparked by his. She was a bit stumbled with words that she had a hard time managing, "Well, I'm not too keen with people hearing my sing."
It was true, she never enjoyed it when people heard her sing. It wasn't that she thought she was bad, because she thought her voice wasn't too horrible at all, but for some reason one of the main things she became shy about was her singing. She believed that it might have been because of all the things her older brother hated about her, he never hated her singing. Sometimes, when they were little, and everything was right between them, he would sneak into her room at night and ask her to sing for him. It was the one thing that calmed him. Victor grew out of that of course, coming with the hatred and torture he threw in every which direction of his little sister, but Joanna always liked to believe of everything he would tease and torment her about, her voice and her singing was never one of them. She wasn't sure how that made her shy about singing, she just supposed that it did.
Joanna basked in the glory of him not recognizing her. He thought that she was one of him, or at least one of the Thunders. She could easily play this to her advantage of getting away and back to her own turf, but it suddenly overcame her, that she didn't want to. She wanted to stay here with the good looking boy who leaned close to her, in a way that she couldn't help but grin. She wanted to stay with the Fire she was supposed to hate, but she didn't hate him at all. He smelt nice, and even though he was pretty much hitting on her, it was something she enjoyed. Samuel just had something about him...something that Joanna found herself wanting more of. She wasn't going to lie, but she wasn't exactly ready yet to come out and tell her the truth about what she really was.
"I'm Jo, and oh, I don't know. I'll spend my time down here a lot, or just wandering. I'm not a big person to spend time in the common room. It's boring and, not my style."

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;]i could never see you drown The Words: 735 The Outfit: The Notes Admittedly, the blonde did intrigue him. She wasn’t the typical girl that he tended to go for, her beauty wasn’t obvious or superficial but seemed to run deeper in an unsettling kind of way. Well, she just seemed somewhat different to the majority of people out there, perhaps it was her eyes, deep enough to get lost in, or maybe just her slender form or innocent bone structure; it seemed like to Samuel, that she would be the type of girl that he could really destroy if he wanted to. Charming words would woe her, and then she’d fall blissfully into his arms as he tugged away her skirt; he was sure she was pure like that, untouched, and he didn’t really know why he thought that, but more so he didn’t know why he didn’t feel the need to do it. Maybe he was maturing, or maybe his interest had perked beyond seeing what was beneath her clothes. Samuel wasn’t sure, he’d have to think on it later though or perhaps just bed her to reassure himself that he was still in there somewhere, that perverted, twisted mind of his.
He tilted his head to the side as she spoke, smiling only a little bit as she admitted that she wasn’t too keen on people hearing her sing. Sammy shook his head a little, ”Well, I think that’s a big shame.” he replied honestly, but softly all the same. A lot of people didn’t see this side to Sammy unless they were his friends or an attractive girl, most people just saw the teasing and taunting version of him, but it wasn’t too late, maybe she would at some point too. After all they’d only just met and it wasn’t like Samuel to keep in people’s good opinion. ”I’m not much of an expert on singing or anything, but your singing was the reason I came looking for you… you intrigued me. You still do.” he replied, the silence crisping around his words. If this were a movie, it would probably be a good scene, and then lead on to some more good scenes, Sammy thought to himself, very much aware of their surrounding settings. It was ironic that something so innocent and unique had been lurking around in the gutters, it made him think that perhaps there was a metaphor in that somewhere but right now he wasn’t sure of the connection.
He felt relaxed as she told him her name. Jo. It was easy and simple, something he rolled over on his tongue as he repeated it several times after she’d said it, a smile teasing his lips as he nodded his head in approval. It sounded good coming from him, if he did say so himself, he could deal with calling her Jo. Maybe in a few he’d develop some kind of pet name for her, something longer, something that took more time saying because it seemed so unfair that her name received such little time on his tongue, or perhaps they could just kiss and make up for it. His thoughts widened his grin, and he looked her in the eye, wondering for a moment how it was possible to hate your common room. Samuel loved his, it was the only place he felt he could be real, except for maybe the dungeons. ”I guess the dungeons are less boring than the common room,” he agreed, thinking seriously for a moment as he looked around himself. Getting lost in the maze of corridors could never become boring; she certainly had a point in that much. ”Aren’t you scared, talking to a guy you met down here? I could do anything… we could do anything, and nobody would hear.” he murmured, feeling his face grow hot as his heart rate picked up; perhaps he was growing nervous, what with the realisation that they literally could do anything and nobody would ever hear or no. It would be like a chamber of deadly passion, a secret that was lustful enough to kill any person who came across it, at least he wished. He wished he could have her that way. ”I guess you’re thunder?” he asked, biting low on his lip for a moment as he looked her way. His question didn’t seem too important because he was pretty sure he knew the real answer anyway, that yes she was a thunder.

-----------------------------------------------shadows all around you as you surface from the dark, emerging from the gentle grip ofNIGHT'S UNFOLDING ARMS. DARKNESS[/size] darkness every where, do you feel all alone? the subtle grace of gravity, the heavy weight of stone. -----------------------------------------------------------
Something sparked inside of Joanna. Something tingled at the top of her skin all over the place, and she knew exactly what it was trying to tell her. Stop, this is wrong. He is a fire and you are a water. He doesn't even know you are a water, and once he finds out, boy is he not going to like you anymore. Don't do this. Don't do this. But she pushed that little tingle away screaming and kicking, and told it she didn't care. She was a big girl and she could handle herself with him. If he didn't like what she truly was, the worst he was going to do was lash out at her with some nasty words, which would only take her a second of spitting refutes right back out again. There was something about him, that made her want to stay. She knew she should run and get out of there, but the way he talked was so sweet, it pulled her in. And even if his smooth talking hadn't, his looks put a hook in her and easily wheeled her to him.
"Well, I'm glad I could be interesting to you. I don't think I'm quite completely a fascinating type of her person though. Actually, I guess I could be very boring at most times." She could be interesting, if people bothered to listen to her. Or if she really bothered to speak. Unless it came to something she definitely needed to take a stand against, she mostly enjoyed keeping her mouth shut and her thoughts to herself. If people would ask, she would comply. But it wasn't really often that that happened.
"Well you see, that's the thing about the dungeons I love." She readjusted herself so that her back was leaning up against the wall, along with one foot that helped keep her balance. Her other foot rested, touching his, and the sort of touch sent an odd shiver of reassurance up her spine. She liked it though, especially the way her knew position made him lean over her even more in a way. "Walking around and around down here, you never know who you're going to meet. You can never anticipate who you're going to run into, whether they'll like you or not, or exactly how they'll take and adjust to your presence. It's a sort of risk and thrill, when you really think about it. From my position anyways, probably not from yours." In that one, she gave him a little hint. Something that if he really thought about, he might be able to guess that she was really a Water. Part of her hoped he was, but another didn't exactly want this moment. "Besides," she gave him a once over. When she brought her eyes back up, she obviously let them rest on his lips. "There isn't anything you could do...we could do...that I couldn't handle."
Part of her melted a little bit when he bit her lip. She wouldn't let him know that, because that would be giving him too much. He couldn't have exactly what he wanted yet, not that easy. Even though she wanted it too. She did a sweet half a smile and shook her head, a few stray strands of hair falling into her face. She looked up at him and shrugged, "Not exactly..." -------------------------------------

Samuel smirked, his laugh richoching in an echo off the dark walls of the dungeons. She’d just called herself boring, what was he even doing here? If he wasn’t up for such a different experience, fore usually the girls he gave his time to were the ones who bigged themselves up, then he would have been running off in a different direction but she’d caught Samuel’s curiosities. Who ever said they were boring clearly only said it so that people would stay away from them, it was a defensive mechanism, a mechanism she was using so that Sammy wouldn’t find out how extra cool she was. She probably did the funnest things in the world; well, he was certainly intrigued. He licked his dry lips, wishing that maybe he could moisturise them another way, before smiling widely at the blonde. ”Boring? You?” Samuel quizzed playfully, ”Please, I found you down the dungeons. You’re clearly a wild girl. There’s nothing boring about you.” He challenged her, fully believing his statement. He kind of expected that she’d have a whole other life going on that nobody knew about where she got to do loads of crazy stuff like jump off mountain tops and free fall and whatnot.
He raised an expectant brow, a feisty chick she was. ”You love that we could do anything and nobody would hear?” Sam asked, slightly surprised by her response although he had a feeling she might be talking about something else. He wished she was talking about that though, there was nothing like having a dungeon as your sex dungeon; it gave the phrase a whole new literal meaning. Nonetheless, she seemed to be giving all the signs that she did like him, maybe not that she wanted to jump his bones just yet, but she did like him. It hadn’t gone unnoticed that her foot was touching his, how close they were to each other, how his body just seemed to melt to hers to close the gap. Maybe it was because the dungeon was a little bit chilly and that Sam hated the cold so he was attracted to the body temperature of another human, or maybe it was just because he wanted to get into her pants… Given the person was Sammy, it was probably the latter but he liked to pretend he was more genuine and go with the former. He listened to her speak, she was insightful, a lot more insightful than he was. He liked jumping out at people down here, she liked the thrill… there were other things he could do to the thrill her. He couldn’t stop grinning, his mind was jumping ahead in a very Samuel like manner. Part of him wanted to control himself and think green, clear, friendly thoughts but he was too much of a pig for that. ”So you hang around in the dungeons to see who can thrill you?” he asked, somewhat ecstatically. It was like she was searching for somebody just like him to pounce out at her. ”I just like jumping out at people from the shadows… I’m immature, I’m know.” he admitted with a relaxed shrug.
‘There isn’t anything you could do… we could do… that I couldn’t handle’ she had said, and Sammy found himself being almost mentally bowled over. Was she coming onto him? It must have been his lucky day, a seriously lucky day. ”I think you’re wrong.” he replied, his voice grainy as his mind ran circles around him. It was true, he was picturing her naked, and in his mind she looked so good. He looked down at her slender form, furrowing his brow at her response. He was confused, so she wasn’t a thunder? That left fire then, unless she was one of the others… The thought of it stopped his fantasy dead, and he straightened up, their bodies still meeting in several places, only Samuel’s had stiffened as he thought about this. Could he actually be down here flirting, practically dry humping, a girl who was water or fire? That didn’t make sense in the slightest, surely he would know? His body would just react differently to her, he’d repel from her, not attract, they were so opposite… but that’s not how batteries worked. He found himself battling between anger and lust as he frowned childishly towards her. ”You’re one of them, aren’t you? You’re one of them flower people? You either grow them or you water them but you certainly don’t set them on fire!” He grumbled dramatically, his face contorting at the news. This was somewhat devastating to him. He didn’t know how to react. He knew he should have ran away from her, turned and just kept running, or maybe set her on fire or do something antisocial thing, but her voice was so sweet and he just felt so comfortable being near her. ”You set me on fire…” Sammy commented miserably, so it was a little cheesy. Why hadn’t he known before he’d decided he wanted to have sex with her? It was like depravation! He stared at her, his eyes narrowing, studying her appearance. How couldn’t he tell? She was blonde! Of course she’d be a flower waterer! Within a matter of seconds, Sammy closed the gap between them and pressed his lips up against hers, not softly but passionately. He wanted to punish her for deceiving him but more than anything he wanted her, and he hated how messed up that made him. His hands gripped her waist and brought her closer to him as his body reacted against hers. H would regret this, he would, but Sammy thought a lot more with his dick than with his head, it was a known fact and therefore it would later be forgiven. Anyway, it really didn’t matter because Sammy didn’t care anymore, he just wanted her.

Joanna shrugged and smiled slightly. "Okay, so I guess I'm not a total snore, but I'm not some wild girl either that goes like, swimming with sharks or anything. I guess I'm just something...extra-ordinary. And hey-," she gave him a slight flirting push in her shoulder, not strong at all, though she knew her strong would probably be nothing compared to this guy. "You are twisting my words. I love coming down here for the thrill of what I might find- not just for, what you're implying."
She leaned herself back against the wall, and let him fall back into place, creating warmth around her body. She didn't mind the warmth that much, opposed to her kind usually liking the cold. She didn't like when it was extremely humid, but another person's body warmth made her feel comfortable in her own skin, and maybe thats all she was ever searching for. Someone to make her feel comfortable, and make her feel wanted. And she loved knowing she was wanted in this way. She knew that Samuel had racked his eyes over her body multiple times, and she was okay with it. She had made her way through his a couple of times, and had easily noticed how...happy...he was. If her parents knew, it probably wouldn't have been something they condoned, her being at a younger age and all, but it was what she wanted. To feel welcome, to feel loved- to feel something. "Don't think I'm wrong," she subtly licked her lips. "Don't ever think I"m wrong. You'd be surprised what I can handle."
But then he changed. He was no longer casting his body along with hers, instead he was standing straight up and looking like he had just made an awful mistake. It was probably true- the whole thing was more like an awful mistake. She was a water, she finally admitted to him, and he was a fire. This is not something that should happen under any circumstances. She's not generally the one to care about alliances or anything like that, but this was on a totally whole new level..but they hadn't even done anything, so it was alright! This was the end of their little fantasy's about each other, and they could easily go on their ways as if nothing happened. Joanna was about to slightly wave her goodbyes and hurry from the dungeons, before his confusion turned into wrath, aimed towards her. Then something happened. Samuel had closed up the space between them again, and this time, it was nothing that they could turn down and say it never happened and go on their own ways.
A tingle went through her body when his lips met hers, and she could feel it everywhere, absolutely everywhere. This was what she wanted, this was definitely what she wanted. She gave her whole self into him, and soon entwined her arms up his shoulders, around his neck, and lost her fingers in his hair. This was feeling. This was bliss.
