DISTINGUISHING FEATURES Logan has both his ears pierced, actually, a fact that's unnoticed by a vast majority of his coworkers, particularly the older ones. He figures as a teacher, he probably shouldn't wear anything in them, so he never does, but on the off weekend when he doesn't think he's likely to see any other teachers or students even, he can probably be found with them in. There's nothing in the rules about it, though, at least he doesn't think, but Logan really does need to keep this job. Other than that, he has nothing particularly distinguishing.
CLOTHING STYLE His clothing style varies, as pretty much everyone else's does, depending on what he's doing for the day, but this happens in a way that nobody else can really tell. For work, he doesn't try to stand out too much, sticking to casual things like his t-shirts under jackets or semi-acceptable sweaters or whatever he thinks he can get away with, but he kind of hates getting dressed up and avoids doing so unless it's mandatory. (That said, he can get it together if he's absolutely forced, but he'd really rather not do that.) Outside of work, things are more or less the same, except that he dresses remarkably younger at those times, and then it's t-shirts, hoodies, and jeans all day, every day.

POSITIVE TRAITS
- LOYAL Whatever bad things people can say about Logan, there's no denying that in the end, he's actually pretty loyal. His friends are important to him. Even though he's the type to snark around and tell everyone off regardless of whether or not he even likes them at all, he's also the type to come to a friend's aid... He'd bitch and moan about having to come bail said friend out at the same time, but he probably wouldn't really mean it.
- CONFIDENT Logan definitely has no shortage of confidence. He's the type to go into everything he does with the kind of attitude that he's going to be able to pull it off, and at this point, it's not even really optimism. It's just the way he goes through everything in his life. He doesn't even blink an eye when kids sass him in front of the entire class, and was never the type when he was a student to back down from the teacher, either. He steps up to the challenges presented to him by anyone and everyone he meets, regardless of who the hell they are (or think they are).
- WELL-MEANING Though his plans tend to go awry and more often than not end in complete and utter failure, Logan really does mean well. In most cases, though certainly not all, he does the things that he does because he genuinely believes that he is doing the right thing. He tends to go with his gut feelings almost all of the time, but that's not necessarily a bad thing when he actually kind of has a sense of justice and right or wrong.
NEGATIVE TRAITS
- RECKLESS Because of his tendency to go with what he's feeling at any particular point in time, Logan can be considered kind of ridiculous. He doesn't have a real grasp of the consequences in most cases -- naturally he knows how to obey the law and wouldn't go doing any stupid things like inviting students to parties and things like that, but other than that he kind of does what he wants, and this
occasionallygets him in trouble.- LAZY It's kind of weird and unprecedented that Logan could be a teacher of all things, because as a student, he hated homework, and classwork, and any other kind of work. He was the type to avoid extracurriculars, even, because that meant putting in extra work, even when it was just attending soccer practice or something easy like that. As a teacher, he's equally lazy. He assigns homework as rarely as possible because, to be perfectly honest, he'd hate marking it. Don't ever expect him to volunteer to coach a sports team or anything, either. Logan isn't really cut out for work life.
- CLOWNISH Logan is horrible at taking things seriously, and this is in the absolute worst kind of way. He makes a joke out of nearly everything, and sucks, no pun intended, in serious situations. Well, he probably wouldn't crack a joke at his best friend's dearly beloved grandmother's deathbed or something that serious, but he generally doesn't know how to handle serious situations otherwise. He responds to most everything with jokes, from break-ups to losing his job or being berated by his boss. He's generally just very bad at being serious.
LIKES
- pancakes
- video games
- sleep
- hoodies
- roller coasters
DISLIKES
- french toast
- having to do work
- whiny students
- being proven wrong
- top 40 radio stations
STRENGTHS
- sense of humour
- never worrying, dwelling on memories, etc.
- sense of morals (even if he doesn't always follow them)
WEAKNESSES
- academics
- no common sense
- bad at keeping things neat
FEARS
- being murdered in cold blood by anyone he's pissed off once (this is a long list)
- losing his sense of taste
- terminal illness
BEST MEMORY Logan can't even lie -- all of his best memories probably fell within his last few weeks of twelfth grade at the Academy. Though that was by far his most stressful year here (considering he attended college elsewhere), getting to finally be finished with was definitely pretty awesome. He also had a pretty hot prom date who was actually two years older, and -- as expected -- the graduation parties were pretty sweet.
WORST MEMORY His worst memory was definitely his third year of college. After years of scraping by in school, he had a particular lazy couple of months or so and it all came to a head when he realized that he was at severe risk of actually flunking out of school. The horrible part wasn't actually that, though -- somehow, he'd kind of seen it coming. The really awful part was trying and trying to get his marks back up to standard. He managed it in the end somehow, not without help, but he definitely never wants to go back there.
LONG-TERM GOAL Eventually, Logan wants to be able to save up enough money to purchase and own his own restaurant -- more specifically, a pancake house. He's not very good at planning, and he doesn't have many dreams or ambitions, but all things considered, he's pretty sure there are way worse things to aspire to than owning a pancake house.

HISTORY Melanie Park and David Seok were both Wind elementals, a few years apart in school. For this reason, they knew each other but didn't talk much. They wouldn't have any semblance of a relationship until they were both out of high school. Melanie took two years off to work before she decided to head for college, back at home in Alberta rather than at the Academy. It was a little weird to discover David in the very first class she went to, but it was weird in a nice way. At least she knew someone there -- after attending the Academy she'd mostly fallen out of place with people where she lived, and after all most of the students in this class weren't exactly her age anyway after her years off. It was nice to see a familiar face. She didn't refuse him when he asked her on their first date, and things after that more or less just fell into place pretty easily.
They got married, had their first daughter Alison, Logan three years later, and then four years after that had their third and last child, Nicholas. Life was pretty normal for the family. It became evident pretty quickly that Alison was kind of brilliant, at least when it came to academics. She excelled in, really, everything she touched, was placed into a gifted program by the age of nine, and went on through the rest of her school career in that way. Melanie and David weren't unreasonable people -- they really, really weren't -- but as could be expected, Alison's aptitude set the bar pretty high for Logan (and after that, Nicholas). Logan didn't excel in the same way, however. In fact, after a little bit of a struggle to even try keeping up with these expectations set by his genius of an older sister, he found it altogether pretty difficult and eventually just relaxed and did what he liked.
What he liked, as it turned out, wasn't actually that bad. He was an average student, never an overachiever in any sense of the word, but not the type to fail tests and classes consistently, either. Well, okay, he'd admit that at the Academy he failed Physics in eleventh grade, but that was difficult. Luckily, he did manage to make up that one credit. Other than that, his school life was pretty uneventful. If anything, his parents would mostly wonder why he seemed to have so little common sense outside of school. Still, that was pretty much irrelevant to his own life, because Logan was enjoying what he was doing (which wasn't much) and if it was getting him through life, he didn't see why this was a problem. His parents eventually eased up with the expectations, and for the most part Logan never resented any of his family members for all of it. No harm, no foul.
When he graduated from high school, he decided not to stay at the Academy, and went back to Alberta, but attended college and lived on campus away from where his family lived, having gotten kind of accustomed to being by himself. Figuring that it wouldn't be that difficult, he decided to major in Family and Consumer Science, mostly biding time because he really had no idea what kind of a career he ever wanted in his life. College was a bit more of a struggle, and as a Junior he was at legitimate risk of flunking out, but he managed to get it together. It doesn't seem that he's learnt from that so much, considering that after graduating he went back to being as lazy as before, but if he knows one thing it's that being in that kind of desperate situation sucks. Mercifully, it was over before long.
Logan went back home after that, bumming around for a while and mostly working odd jobs in whatever he could find. Eventually, he heard that a teaching position for Home Economics was opening up at the Academy once the last teacher got fed up with all the rambunctious students and quit. He snatched it up as quickly as possible, and so for the pat year this is where he's been. His work ethic is no better than it was before, and he's still incredibly lazy. Mostly, he just wants to pay off his debt as a student and start making money so he can move on. Whether or not he shows it, though, he actually kind of likes his job. Teaching Home Economics, especially for ninth and tenth graders, is not particularly challenging except when they nearly set things on fire, and he gets along alright with most of the students. (He would though -- he's more like them than he is some of the teachers, after all.) He's not planning to stay at the Academy as a teacher forever, not even close, because in the end the job is still a little too uniform for someone like Logan. Still, for a twenty-six year-old who barely managed to get through college, he's finding this a pretty okay deal.
