CLOTHING STYLE She doesn't really have much of a style. She wears whatever she feels like wearing. But mostly she's about self-expression, and never really wears dull colors without a spice of color to liven it up. She not too into the preppy stuff, though people tell her to try it out more than she prefers. As for shoes, she likes converse, and sticks to those types of shoes. Except on occasions where heels or sandals are appropriate/necessary.

BEST MEMORY When she and her brother hung out at his place on her birthday when she turned fifteen. While it seems simple and not very exciting, there was closure in the time they spent together that day. Needed closure, and the two have never been closer.
WORST MEMORY When she came home one day, her father wasn't there. And she hasn't seen him ever since.
LONG-TERM GOAL To be something her parents never could have been; dependable.

HISTORY Alyssa's mother died during childbirth, directly after Alyssa had been birthed. When Alyssa was born, she didn't cry. Not a single tear. She just looked around through wide, curious eyes. But, of course, she got hungry and began wailing her eyes out.
At first, her father seemed slightly distant as well as a bit depressed. Lucas held something like blame, because even though he knew it wasn't Alyssa's fault, he still needed someone to blame for his mother's death.
Up until she was about five, the family's relationship was strained. Then, her father opened up. Out of blue, for no particular reason at all. Alyssa, Lucas, and Gregory started spending more quality time together. Alyssa met her relatives, such as her aunt Emily who would one day be the only one there to take care of her.
When Lucas turned 18, however, he moved out and away from Maple Hollow. He visited regularly, at first, but then he only came around when he thought it was necessary.
Alyssa was 11 at the time, and her father was starting to grow cold again. She didn't seem bothered by it, though. He was an off-and-on kind of person. A bit bipolar, if you asked Alyssa.
It remained like that for the next three years; off-and-on father/daughter relationship. Alyssa didn't mind, though. The older she got, the more time she spent away from home. One day, during the summer, she came home to an empty driveway and house.
There was no one home, and her father hadn't bothered to leave any kind of notification that he wouldn't be home when she came back. Sure, he'd been acting more distant and careless than normal, but Alyssa hadn't thought much of it.
She waited in the living room for him to come home, calling her brother once or twice to ask if he knew anything about where Dad would be. She fell asleep on the couch, and when she woke up in the afternoon that day, she came to a realization. Her father had abandoned her, and he wasn't coming back.
That was the day she discovered her powers, too. She was so angry, so hurt, that it just...happened. She was ripping up a picture of her father, mother, and Lucas at a much younger age. And, out of nowhere, it caught fire. She didn't realize she'd done it. She was freaking out, confused, and angry. She was basically exploding. Imagine being in her place. Everyone blamed her for her mother's death, even though whenever she brought it up no one admitted to such thoughts. And then her father was so fed up with looking at her that he just..left. You might be confused, hurt, and angry too.
Her aunt, Emily, was having suspicions about her father's choice of leaving because they'd had a very heated discussion over the phone. He'd hinted at his motive, and she had rushed to get to Alyssa as soon as she could. She found her burning the picture. And, well, long story short, that's when Alyssa found out her capabilities and that she was destined to go to the Academy.
Ever since, Lucas has visited more often. And her aunt, Emily, moved in with her to take care of her until she's old enough to face the world alone. Alyssa has grown fond of Emily, and Emily has grown fond of Alyssa. Lucas and Alyssa are like two peas in a pod.

RP SAMPLELeaf cocked her head when the dog asked if she was alright. The dog was rather confusing. Was he a dick or did he give a shit? He laughed at her anger, which seemed to only make her even more frustrated with the world--more specifically him. And yet he had the nerve enough to ask if she was alright. The wolf didn't quite know what to make of this one... He was strange and frustrating, and seemed to find her amusing.
If Leaf was a people-pleaser, she'd be perfectly fine with being amusing. But she wasn't. It made her uncomfortable. Every day, she did her best to drive others away and almost always succeeded. And, tonight, she happened to draw in the creepiest, weirdest motherfucker. And he was amused with her!
"It's an old injury; I'm fine." Leaf told him, her voice strained a little bit from the rather sharp, intense pain. She cleared her throat after the pain subsided. "Why do you care, anyway?" She added quickly, her voice almost emotionless aside from a hint of agitation.
This dog confused Leaf to no end. Why did he laugh when she was hostile? And who laughed at a statement like 'go fuck yourself'. He either had a lot of self-control, which Leaf doubted, or he seriously found it amusing, which Leaf guaranteed.
She furrowed her brows together and stared at him; the look of confusion. The she-wolf's scarred face relaxed, however, when he said;
"Fucking anything isn't really my thing, sweetheart, much less myself."
Leaf visibly relaxed then, but not by much. She was still a bit nervous in her movements and somewhat tense in her muscles. She still readied herself for an attack of any sort.
"How, exactly, do you plan on relieving yourself of boredom then?" She asked. Instead of aggressive, she sounded suspicious with a hint of baffled.
Leaf tilted her head to one side when the dog averted its attention from her and focused on the raven.
So, Leaf fully realized that the bird was a companion of the dog. 'Odd,' She thought, and there was a slight hint of jealousy welling up deep inside of her as she watched the raven nuzzle up to the dog. She realized, with a pang, that she longed for that kind of companionship with another being too. Maybe not exactly affection, though she did need that desperately, but just...any sort of companionship where she was close to another. But, she would never have that.
A kind of sadness flashed across her eyes, but the dog would never see it since he was focused on the bird. Leaf sat down on her haunches, watching her hot breath come out in wispy clouds as it met the cold air.
And, as the dog was turning back to her, she addressed him. Since she was a little sad on the inside now, her tone of voice was quieter and much less aggressive or accusing. You might even describe it as tranquil. "Are you going to introduce yourself?" She asked, not wanting to give away her name if the other dog wasn't willing to give up his. But she was genuinely curious as to what she could call this...dog.
