Omg lol. Hiking was a Brenston family tradition, it always had been ever since before Sammy was born. They did it every month at least once, sometimes more but what with their busy lifestyles, it was becoming less and less of a family gig. They spent the beginning of the hike recapping their on their life, what they’d been up to in their time apart and then the lectures would begin. Most lecturing time was reserved for Samuel because Sawyer was the golden boy, he very rarely did a thing wrong and when he did his parents would laugh and say how charming he was. It was pretty much a pain being the youngest sibling to a perfect brother. Nonetheless after the lectures, by which point Sammy was usually getting pretty tired, physically because the Brenston hikes were always strenuous, the parents would quicken their pace and go off ahead, leaving the two brothers to have their monthly quality time. In the past Samuel and Sawyer had been the ones to go ahead, leaving their parents behind, but the parents always complained that they were too slow so the quality time element was drained from the exercise. In the end, it was just another thing for his parents to complain about, his hiking skills. Sammy had smaller legs than them though, it took it out of him more to go as fast as them because it took twice as many strides for him. He’d groaned and grumbled about this for some time but they just took it as another excuse and went off on their way.
This time, as the parents drew out of sight, Samuel let out a long sigh and stopped his trekking. He doubled over, panting slightly and gripped his legs to steady himself. Quality time with the big brother, it was kind of Sammy’s favourite time that he got to spend with his brother because there were no distractions; phones weren’t allowed on this trip, neither was watches. It was a weekend thing, they’d go to some weird patch of land that took hours to get to, camp the night and then head back the next day. He got his brother to himself for a few hours for two days, it was rarity. Sometimes they would talk, other times they would argue, but mostly it was Sammy’s chance to prove to his brother that he was just as good as him and worthy of his company. He reached for a bottle from his rucksack and glanced up at Sawyer and his magnificent form. His brother had always been a lot bigger than him, some kind of giant specifically who appeared to have inherited both of his parents gigantic genes. Well, Sam was waiting for them to kick in, they had to soon otherwise he’d be enquiring to see his birth records. Was he switched? ”Hey, so I got to piss off this stupid water girl… her dad’s plain old human, I think I scared her,” he admitted as he took a seat on a nearby rock having caught his breath back. It was a habit of Sam’s, to stop their journey once his parents had gotten out of sight. He liked to rest his body, it was a pretty painful hike. Sawyer used to complain about it but now it was a pretty established practice. As he grew older the stops were decreasing a little bit, and for less time, but he wasn’t quite ready to give them up just yet.

Sawyer was the type of guy who enjoyed spending time with his family. It was more due to the fact that he had been raised to spend time with his family. Every month his parents roped them into spending quality time together. Whether they were busy or not, it didn’t matter; they still had to make the effort and attend. Hiking was todays choice. It started off fine, the fact that they weren’t allowed any sort of technological advances made it easier to enjoy; that was until they got further up the trail. The hike was strenuous, but it wasn’t anything that Sawyer couldn’t cope with. He worked out more often than not; and he had no issues about his stamina. His brother however, was a different matter. Their parents had gone on ahead as usual, it was usually at this time that they planned questions to quiz their son’s on; but it also gave Sammy and Sawyer time to bond. It was a good thing really, but Sawyer had noticed that as the years had passed, Sammy used it an excuse to brag about the things he’d achieved, and show off about how skilled he was becoming in his element. Sawyer watched as their parents disappeared around the corner; then he glanced at Sam; waiting for his brother to bend over and rest. It was another thing that had become common, and Sawyer rolled his eyes. ”Come on Sam, we don’t have time for this.” He sighed, running a hand over his head, before reaching into his pocket to finger his cell to make sure it was there. He carried it with him even though he wasn’t meant to; but it wasn’t something that any of his family had ever picked up on.
He stopped in his tracks and watched as Sammy pulled out this bottle. Sawyer, glanced around and pulled out his camera; it was the only legal piece of technology allowed on the trip-mainly because his mother was mad keen on documenting their lives. He took a photo of Sam, before taking one of their surroundings. He had no intention of waiting for Sam to get his energy back, because he had blown off a secret date to be on the hike and he wasn’t best pleased. It wasn’t really a secret date; but his parents weren’t best pleased on him dating since they’d already promised his hand in marriage to another wealthy family, but Sawyer wasn’t about to listen to them. He sighed as he watched Sam sit on a rock. ”We really stopping?” He asked, knowing that his brother found the hikes more effortful than he did, but it didn’t mean he wanted to stop. He smirked as his brother explained what had happened and he nodded, ”Oh yeah? Why the hell did she broadcast that? Stupid girl. Did you burn her?” He asked, excited for his brother’s powers to develop so he could actually cause some trouble. ”I short fused some earth idiots laptop the other day.” He laughed, shaking his head. And that was how it began; let the comparisons commence!

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] who keeps me safe and tells me everything will be okay The Words: idkThe Outfit: shorts, sneaks, vest topThe Notes Channing is such a goof in his police tee! Omg lol. Sammy groaned as his brother tried to stop him from sitting down. Sawyer was always insensitive about these kind of things and it was really starting to annoy the Brenston Junior. He glared at his big brother, tilting his head up at him so he could see his face. In Sammy’s opinion Sawyer was too buff, he always had been. He lacked the body proportions like Sammy did, instead he was just like the giant man. Of course these were only bitter thoughts that the younger Brenston brother felt, usually he was envious of Sawyer. ”Shut up, we have loads of time.” he argued back as he panted for his breath. His stomach gave an involuntary lurch and he clasped his hands across it. He’d had a bad stomach before he’d left the house and no amount of Pepto-Bismol was going to rectify that. He pouted his lips miserably before taking another sip of water. Having a bad stomach in this part of the city wasn’t ideal, he was stranded with only bushes for privacy.
”Look, my legs are shorter than yours, and I’m ill, it takes double the effort for me to go the same distance at the same speed as you, so suck it up.” Samuel moaned. He wasn’t too eager to reach the top of the hike, to be back around their parents for another quiz session. Samuel was often uncomfortable when he reached the camp site because he was always sweaty, without a shower, without fresh clothing and without a bathroom. They were another set of luxuries that the parents took away during the family hiking trip. He glanced up at Sawyer as he seemingly approved of Samuel’s extra curriculum activities. ”Because she’s proud of it…” he replied with a snigger. He enjoyed this competition with his brother, and as his breath caught back, he knew it would become more and more witty. ”Oh yeah I did, once I was done with her she had to go to hospital. I singed her skin off, she’s got no hair. I’m known as a legend back in my common room!” he exclaimed, a cheesy grin enveloping his face as he awaited his brother’s approval. Of course, Samuel was lying. If he’d done anything of the sort he probably wouldn’t be allowed to be in school, never mind use his powers again. You just couldn’t go around setting people on fire anymore and getting away with it, plus Sandra was water anyway so she’d probably be able to stop any attack he sent to her, but Sawyer didn’t need to know that.
Samuel raised a sceptical eyebrow as Sawyer informed him proudly of how he short fused a laptop. ”Oh wow, four years of college and all you do Is short fuse a laptop. What happened to all that crazy Thor shit from the movies? You’re weak bro, and you smell.” Sam pointed out as he scrutinised his brother, narrowing his eyes. He knew Sawyer was capable of much more than short fusing a laptop and those were the stories Sammy wanted to hear about. ”How do you even expect to impress your betroved if you can’t do fork lightening, huh?” Samuel questioned as he massaged his legs with his hands, running them smoothly up and down his lower muscles.
